Service was terrible, they treat the Hispanics really well though... I ordered a drink and it was tiny and filled with ice.... Also got a side of beans and I thought what they brought was for the chips ... so I'm just sitting there waiting .. I paid $20 for a drink and a tiny little cup of smashed beans.. Will NOT be back, waste of money but now I know!!! :) read more

Still just average and not authentic. My husband decided to try delivery via DoorDash. It was surprisingly quick! The chili relleno was cooked better than my previous experience and the chili itself was spicy. My combo came with a chicken mole enchilada and a tostada. The tostada was average fairly bland, the mole was too sweet and lacked depth. read more

Our family of 5 ordered different dishes each and 5 stars for 4 of the dishes. One dish came with guacamole by mistake but they rectified quickly. They also gave my wife a free margarita as they had extra from the kids orders. My meal was tasty and carnitas were tender. read more

If you are from Texas or Oklahoma pass on by this place. "Cheese dip" is velveeta. Steak fajitas are actually roast or brisket, and shredded cheese is from a bag. Service is pretty good, no complaints there. Place feels and looks like a Mexican restaurant. Chicken quesadillas were decent and have corn instead of flour. First basket of chips free, second is $5. See the pics. read more

No dice to this place, food is all right. I really don't go there for the food but for their micheladas. Off the bat I'll let you know, if my food if 28$ ill usually leave a 10$ tip or maybe just round it to 40$. But the part that bothered me was I found out that they had been adding a tip already for 6$ n it was under "70$ n above fee" n I had been leaving additional tips, so stupid on me for that but scamming ass. read more

Terrible service with even worse pricing. A table that was seated after us got their food before us. Do not recommend to anyone visiting the area. read more

The best Mexican food in Silverthorne. The top shelf margaritas are great and they have a huge selection of tequila available to cater to everyone (blancos, reposadas, and añejos). I've had the enchiladas mole as well as the tacos cabeza and both were awesome. The service is fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and drinks. read more

Awful food. I will never eat here again. Chicken tasted horrible and weird consistency. My husband and son also didn't like their food.

I visited tonight and unfortunately, the chicken I was sold was raw. This was very disappointing and concerning for food safety. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and improves their quality checks to ensure this doesn't happen to other customers! read more

I had really high hopes and decided to order a combo plate bc I wanted to try multiple things and I needed a good Mexican fix. I had the Taco, cheese enchiladas, Relleno, chalupa, beans and rice. The only thing I thought was okay was the beans and the salsa that was on the side. A lot of items lacked seasoning. I'm from New Mexico and live in Texas my palate for Mexican is broad. I hope the chef can continue to perfect what they want to share with the community I understand cooking at this altitude does have its challenges. I'd like to try again in the distant future. read more

4 dollars just for another basket of chips. 3 dollars for cheese that she didn't tell us. The portions looked way bigger on the menu. The regular tacos should be the mini tacos. No good service. Never asked how good the food was. Makes you pour your own water. Expensive for small portions. Don't recommend! read more

Good food. Good service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!acab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ordered takeout --most expensive item on menu-flap meat was like shoe leather, refried beans very skimpy, no guacamole AND salad was so spicy that I thought it might damage the garbage disposal! We live very near by but if I actually crave TEXMEX I will head to Frisco for Hacienda Real! read more

Food was decent. Service was slow and favored, they up charged add ons that they don't inform you about.

Authenticity comes to mind. I was greeted by a pleasant, lovely hostess. She was kind, smiled and took my take out order right there. It was well worth the wait! The freshness and detail to our meals was fabulous! This is a hot spot for great food! read more

I had the worst experience ever at this place. I found a bug in my food and, unbelievably, I still had to pay for it. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable. No one should have to deal with that, and the fact that they didn't offer a refund. Definitely won't be coming back. read more

This restaurant looks like a really small, hole in the wall type of place, which I love. We tried the street tacos since they had such good reviews and they lived up to the hype! So good! I also had a cheese enchilada which was good. We loved the spicy salsa that came with the chips. Solid house margarita as well. read more

Last time we were here it was amazing. Today not so much. Changed to plastic plates - smaller portions. Plates were ceramic and hot which made food hot. This time Food was cold. Last time we had leftovers and were stuffed. Today we easily finished it all. Also the chicken enchilada and chicken burrito were identical. No sauce or cheese or anything special inside. Plain chicken. Both covered with same sauce. ?? Bean tostadas - smear of cold beans. Maybe the smallest pinch of shredded cheese. Not melted of course bc beans cold. Worth 50 cents if hot. We will give one more chance maybe. But this was not good. read more

An Authentic local option that's always consistent. Easy for a quick bite out or pick-up. We've enjoyed our meals each time we've visited.

Got here right before closing and they made no fuss about us ordering, which was great. We had a couple of beers and a nice meal. I saw a dish I've never had on the menu, so had to order that one. It was pretty solid, but I did end up with a little order envy. I was considering the enchiladas rancheros, tried my buddy's enchilada with red sauce and it was super solid. The huaraches were also pretty good. I really liked the masa and the beans inside, easily my favoirte part of the dish. I had the vegetarian version which had a nice assortment of veggies, so that didn't disappoint. Portion was healthy. I didn't love the tomatillo salsa, found it a little too salty for my liking. Chips and salsa were really awesome, salsa was spicy. read more

The 3.5 star rating is just plain wrong. Maybe people ordered the wrong thing or something, but I wasn't expecting much when I got here. I should have known from the salsa. It's clearly made from scratch, and insanely good. Cilantro heavy. My tacos were amazing. They smoke the meats and the pineapple flavor isn't too much. The cook of the meats is perfectly crispy but not dry. I dare say these may be the best tacos I have ever had, and I don't say that lightly. Will be back. read more

We decided to try again after many years. Well worth it! Food was delicious! Had combo 1 so we had enchilada, relleno, taco, tostada, rice. All was delicious. Good helping of lettuce and tomato on the side. Taco Tuesday- delicious street tacos with extra sauces, etc. Service was excellent and nice music was really great! Fritangas Mexican Restaurant Silverthorne - Sign hanging in lobby. Says was not their prices - Mexican Near Me - Silverthorne, Colorado

In the middle of the Colorado mountains there is a gem of a Mexican food restaurant! Fritangas is an amazing place where you are treated like family and they serve high-quality real Mexican food. This is not just your typical Sonoran food, but also has an influence of DF (Mexico City). I knew this place was going to be good when I arrived. Great salsa (although not do great chips) and lots of customers speaking Spanish (First, their Chile Relleno is delicious. Not a floppy chile with a cube of cheese. This one is crispy and so flavorful. I had a chimichanga (shredded beef) with chile verde sauce and it was good. Lots of flavor! I was shocked when I saw huaraches on the menu! I've never seen them on a state-side menu and it brought back memories of them in a Mexico City open market. Huaraches are thick corn tortillas in the shape of a sandal (huarache) and then anything from beans to peanut butter and jelly is spread on top. Yes this is real Mexican food and high quality. Don't forget to try their Fried Ice Cream. While not spectacular it is tasty especially with the miniature sopapillas that decorate it. read more

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The perfect place if you're really hungry for terrific food.

Completely agree with previous reviewers that this rating is far too low. I'd say 4 to 4.5 stars is much more appropriate. What on earth are these people comparing this place to? Are they expecting three Michelin stars for 12 bucks? The food is cheap for summit county, it's delicious, and the people are nice. The service has always been great for me, both dining in and taking out. Also the breakfast burritos are awesome. $6.50 for a ton of food and flavor. Breakfast burritos are one of my favorite foods and this one is up there. Try the chorizo, it's a great meat/ cheese/potato/egg balance and isn't messy to eat on the go. Verde salsa is killer too. read more
