Menu: Chawan mushi - steamed egg custard with vegetable(bean, shimeji mushroom) and seafood(shrimp and slice of fish) Ankimo - Monkfish Liver with seasonal seafood(scallop and shrimp) Grilled black cod, with saikyo miso and marinated blue fin tuna and cooked egg. Tenpura - seafood (slice of fish, seafood stuffed vegetable and vegetable(shiitake) 9 pieces of sushi Daily miso soup - clam Dessert - kinako and mitarashi dango Chawan mushi was great. I can taste fish based broth and egg custard was very silky and smooth. Decent amount of ingredients sush as shrimp, slice of fish , bean and shimeji mushroom. I wish they served it slightly cooler than too hot. Ankimo - Great item. Monkfish liver was rich and paired with scallop and shrimp so well. Sauce was just ok. Grilled black cod was another great item. Crispy and juicy, just perfectly done. Blue fine tuna was covered by salty marinated sauce which was great when wrapped with seaweed. Cooked egg was just ok Tenpura - Seafood stuffed vegetable was my favorite. Others were also decent. Highlight and stand out item was 9 pieces of sushi. Honmaguro(bluefine tuna) was good. Shari(sushi rice) was nicely seasoned with vinegar, very mild and which I liked it. Tuna was delicious. Sea breem(MADAI) was another good piece. Delicious. Aburi Toro was nicely seared. I wish this item could be a bit more softer and buttery, but it was still good. Akaebi(red shrimp) and Hokkaido sea urchin - Lightly torched the top of sea urchin and its smokiness brought out more sweetness flavor of Akaebi(red shrimp) Hokkaido Scallop - Very smooth, soft and nice texture. Delicious. Kinmedai(Gold eye snapper) -- My favorite. Texture was very soft and chewy, It was great item. Hokkaido sea urchin - Actually, this one was just ok. I wish it could be more creamy. Unagi - One of the best item. It was so fluffy and soft right after chef cooked and served. This is a must try item. Daily miso soup with clam - I can taste fish broth (dashi) flavor so well. Clam was delicious. It was good. Dessert - Kinako coated mitarashi dango -It was nicely chewy and soft. I wish there were more sauce on it. Overall, it worth visiting this place. The only problem is that so hard to get a reservation. Hopefully, I can get next reservation, may be next year.

We love Japanese cuisine so I decided to surprise the hubby with an omakase for his birthday in January. Unfortunately, they have a 6-month wait and I was not prepared so I ended up booking it for our anniversary in May. The food was phenomenal and delicious! I love the chawanmushi loaded with goodies inside. The ankimo (monkfish liver) dish was so tasty with the scallop and prawn. Black cod was cooked to perfection! The nigiris are all so fresh. We quickly put ourselves on the waiting list for after September so we can come here again soon! There's a parking lot just next door. The place inside is small and intimate. Service is great!

The variety or options on their all you can eat menu is very limited but the quality makes up for it. I came with a friend and her son. Her son is 12 years old. If you have a kid remember to bring ID or some sort of proof of age to try the all you can eat. One thing to note is that there is a limit on the sashimi which is 10 per person. The kid doesn't have sashimi. But again it is $1 per age of the kid. The food here was very delicious. The sashimi was a bit on the small end but it was ok. They have prawn tempura in their AYCE menu. I came here for lunch so it was only $32 per person which was not bad. I like how you order through an IPad so there is no trying to get a hold of a server. Overall, I recommend this place for AYCE.

The restaurant is in the middle of the long building on the S side of the parking lot. Parking is plentiful in the strip mall lot. No problems at all. The inside is quite pretty. Feels like an outdoor patio in Asia, with the wooden pergolas and fake cherry blossoms. Special mention. Staff are friendly. No complaints. They have a regular menu, but my buddy and I were here for allyoucaneat. They have a lunch and dinner menu, but no late nite. Last call is 30 minutes before closing, so don't come too late in the evening. Sushi here is quite fresh. Selection is not the largest, but it's pretty decent. The one glaring thing that stood out is that other than chicken/beef teriyaki, there are no hot food items (skewers, karaage, ribs etc.). I'm not going to hold this against them, but it's definitely something to keep in mind before showing up. On the other hand, there is no limit for the ice cream scoops at the end. Beautiful. They have chocolate and vanilla. Worth checking out if one is in the area. Recommended.

I don't recall exactly what we ordered but it was a tuna roll of some sort and salmon sashimi - maybe the best I've ever had - and the shrimp tempura - not the best to get delivered as it comes cooled off and a bit soggy / not the restaurants fault of course. I tried a bit of the gomae and I really liked the flavor. My bento box came with the following Sashimi, Oshi Sushi, Tempura, Miso soup, Sunomono, and Chicken Teriyaki. I really liked the sunomono. It was definitely a stomach opener. The Oishi Sushi was my favorite. It melted in my mouth. The sashimi was fresh. Tempura had a nice crispy batter. I did find it somewhat heavy on the batter though. The chicken teriyaki was good but definitely not wow. I liked how it was not drenched in sauce like some places. There are plenty of parking out front. I have to say this place was definitely one of the better sushi places in Surrey. Service was good. I would appreciated it, that they bought my sunomono and my miso soup the same time they bought the gomae and miso soup to B. I ended up watching him eat during the first half of dinner.
