I have been wanting to come here for years so you can imagine my excitement when I called to make reservations about a month in advance and they were able to fit our large party in! They have a designated parking lot making it super easy to visit here. They brought us to our table right away, which was this beautiful large family table set in its own alcove, so it felt very special and away from the main hustle and bustle of the restaurant. The vibe was like a modern upgraded diner. I had struggled deciding between going at brunch time or for the dinner menu, but I am super happy that we decided to do brunch because we got to enjoy the famous Jo's Buttermilk Biscuits with the flight of butters. All of the butter was great, but I especially loved the blackberry butter. The biscuits were so good though, that you didn't even need butter at all, they were just so light and fluffy. Not dry like your typical biscuit that you'd get at any other restaurant! For the main meal, I picked the crunchy French toast, which was perfectly crispy on the outside but nice and custardy on the inside. I love the use of the cornflake cereal on the outside, I don't think I can go back to any regular French toast after that! They have some seasonal drinks available, so make sure you ask your server. On our particular visit, we tried the 1905 latte which had a toasted marshmallow syrup inside and surprisingly was not too sweet despite being marshmallow. The restaurant is connected to the little merch area/market where you can buy a lot of of the Magnolia merch if you can't make it over to the Silos. The decor and feel inside is so beautiful, as expected if you're familiar with Joanna's work! What a treat to be able to visit here and may they last for a long time!
First time ever here after wanting to come here for years! We were impressed! We loved the attached coffee bar. We arrived about 20 mins before our reservation at 11am. We were able to get a coffee and sit on the patio for a few mins before we were called for our table. William M was great. So very friendly and welcoming. Answered all of our questions since we were newbies. The coffee bar gift shop area is so cute. So many cute items like tea towels, magnets, cookbooks, coffee syrups, jams, etc. Our waitress, Dexi, wasn't overly friendly. It was busy and she seemed to be a little overwhelmed maybe? Now for the food. Get the biscuit flight! Seriously to die for! The biscuits were super fluffy, soft, warm, buttery and a tad salty. Seriously perfect! The butters - honey, blackberry, raspberry, and herb were phenomenal. The honey was our favorite, but they were all delicious. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and my husband ordered the eggs Benedict. We both thought our food was missing something; probably salt. It wasn't bad, just lacked a little flavor. I kind of wish I would have ordered the pancakes or French toast, but the chicken salad sounded too good to pass up at the time. I also got the peach mint tea and it was super refreshing, the perfect amount of sweetness. We had a great visit here. If we are ever in Texas again, we will absolutely stop by.
Magnolia's Table is a must try when in Waco. I've been twice with family and we all enjoyed the decor, clean environment, the service was wonderful and the butter biscuit flight is definitely worth ordering every time. The homemade butter comes in different flavors, cinnamon/sweet, a berry butter, a honey butter and a savory butter. The biscuits melt along with the butter in every bite. This is a unique take on a flight/bread board and it isn't found anywhere else. Spacious beautiful indoor restaurants with a covered very nice outdoor patio. This restaurant is huge and although it is very busy you can find seats but I recommend calling ahead for wait time and trying to reserve in advance.
If you're visiting Waco, Magnolia Table is definitely worth a stop. The highlight for me was the chicken biscuits with honey butter--absolutely amazing. Honestly, I could have eaten nothing but those and been completely happy. They had a variety of drink specials to include non alcoholic. The service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made the experience even better. The only drawback is the parking situation. I highly recommend making a reservation and, if possible, visiting during the week to avoid the biggest crowds.
Like the Silos at Magnolia, the brand is somewhere between "minimalist hipster industrial farmer", and this is the only Texas Historic Landmark that sells pimento grilled cheese. It's a landmark because the Spanish Colonial building, once home to the Elite Cafe, was the first in Waco to have air conditioning and Elvis was a regular when he was stationed at Ft. Hood, as depicted in the mural. Other than the mural, there's not much to see other than an unimpressive selection of grab-and-go items and some knick-knacks. I found some that looked like boobies. I guess they are knick-knockers.
Great breakfast stop. Quick and friendly service. Food came out really really fast. And with that it was a little cold. But it was very tasty. To start I had the strawberry margarita to celebrate my day off of work. It was very tasty and just the right amount of strawberry flavor. Refreshing. Since I was dining solo I didn't get any appz. I got the farm eggs Benedict and like I said the flavors were all good but wish it was as a little warmer. But it was a great portion. I ate it all! This was my first dinning experience here. There are lots of tables and the atmosphere is open and welcoming. After my meal I went to the take away area and got the lemon lavender donut holes to take home to the husband. And I grabbed a chai latte with oatmilk to keep me going for my warrants of the day. The drink was comforting and warm and the chai was perfect. Later I tried the donut holes. And oh wow they were amazing!
Our first time here. The lady at Magnolia square recommended it to us. It as cute little restaurant with a farmhouse feel. Our waiter was great. He was very attentive and recommended some dishes for us. I ordered the Rigatoni and my husband ordered the Burger. We also ordered a side of Brussels. My Rigatoni was great, was very filling and I could barely finish it. The Brussels was exceptional. I would come here just for that. It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was great. My husband said his burger was a bit dry but other than that, he said it was okay. Would definitely try it again, maybe their breakfast next time.
Finally had the chance to try this spot and we weren't disappointed. A reservation is a must; even during heavy rain, the crowd still gathered as expected. It's definitely a busy joint, not a chill, relaxed brunch spot. However the staff was prepared and service was super fast. It was impressive that our entire order was ready in less than 10 minutes. We loved our meal. The crunch French toast was fantastic, the flakes were a nice touch that stood out. The breakfast sandwich was fulfilling, I liked that the croissant was firm and flaky. Overall a solid spot. We'd come back if we're visiting Magnolia.
Each time we're in Waco for a couple of days, we must visit Magnolia Table! We went around 1230P on a Saturday and the wait was 45 minutes, but it only took 15 minutes for a table to be ready. Everything we ordered was consistently as fresh as every other time we've dined there. The space is bright and always clean and the waitstaff is very hospitable. I love all of the different textures throughout. Overall 10/10 and we will continue to go again and again!!!
Magnolia Table Review We had a wonderful breakfast at Magnolia Table. We started with the Our Bacon & Eggs appetizer, which was a delightful surprise. The deviled eggs paired exceptionally well with the sweet jam and candied bacon, creating a delicious combination of flavors. For breakfast, we enjoyed the French Toast and the Avocado Toast with a perfectly poached egg, along with a side of breakfast potatoes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The jam and candied bacon were definitely a standout and made the appetizer especially memorable. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would happily return. I would definitely recommend Magnolia Table to anyone looking for a delicious and enjoyable breakfast experience.
"Where everyone has a seat at the table" is their slogan however if you do not have a reservation, you do not have a seat at the table. They sit you on high chairs like little children and you're facing a wall with absolutely no entertainment and no visualization of anything exciting that is happening within the restaurant. The food was otherwise pretty decent, my big burger was cooked more than me walking through the Sahara. The farmer's breakfast was good (but it's difficult to mess up eggs, bacon, and potatoes). I'd come here again, possibly.
Food was delicious! Huge fan of Joanna and Chip so it was cool to get to taste the food from her restaurant and the interior she designed. The biscuits were amazing and something I loved and want to get more of. I got the Southern Style Benedict and it was absolutely delicious and something I'd get again. I heard it is seasonal so definitely come get try it before it goes away! The French toast was light and fluffy and tasty in every bite! Experience was great and the servers were sweet! Everything was amazing!
This was one of the worse dining experiences in awhile. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and I got the chance on Thursday June 11th. Our server was ok it really was the food that left a bad taste for me. I started with the signature cocktail a lavender lemon drop Martini only to have the server tell me they don't have all the ingredients to make one of their signature seasonal cocktail drinks. Appetizers we had the burrata which was probably the best thing I ate. My guest ordered the Bavette steak frites with Mac n cheese and I ordered the crispy chicken plate. Their fryer went down and we're not able to make the crispy chicken plate so I settled for their burger. My guest received her steak first and tried cutting into it. It was dry, rubbery and chewy. I had to wait 10 minutes for my burger to show up and when I received it the burger was dry overly salty and hard to eat. My fries were also overly seasoned and hard to enjoy. Definitely one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while. On top of that they locked the gift shop door so you had to walk around to the front entrance if you were shopping in the gift shop. Service is a 3, food is 1 and experience a 1. 1 star
Unfortunately l, nothing ta' jump up & down about. Basic menu mediocre food & over priced drinks. Pretty disappointed, as I waited quite some time to finally get in there and partake. Visited our God-Daughter at Baylor for the weekend. Food, service and ambiance was amazing! Idalia provided great friendly service. We were told a 45 minute wait as a walk-in. But only waited at the most 15 minutes. Highly recommend if you are in Waco Tx. read more

Couldn't get into the restaurant, have to wait for over an hr. Quite a very popular spot, especially on the weekends. So went to the store next door instead and got a cup of ice coffee and strawberry cake. Very nice, helpful service from staff. Clean space, airy and well organized. Will try it again next time. read more
I've tried for 3 years in a row to eat here. First year, it was under construction, last year my flight was delayed and I missed our reservations. This year, I was eating here if I had to break in after hours! Luckily, the travel Gods were in agreement and it finally worked out. Our waitress Megan was fantastic. That woman hustled! She was running all over the place but never missed a beat, or special request. I had the seasonal special, Jo's eggs Benedict with chicken tenders. OMG such a fun twist on a classic favorite! Our first time here was a decent experience. Love the building and decor. Service was good, food just okay. I had the Crispy Chicken Plate. The chicken was good and the mashed potatoes were fine. My wife had the Wedge Salad. Great presentation but we should have asked them to chop it up in the kitchen. Glad we came but probably wouldn't return. read more
We stopped at Magnolia Table on a Friday afternoon on our way to Austin , and we did not regret it one bit ! I highly recommend making reservations because they get BUSY. The food was delicious - some of the best biscuits we have ever had and our waitress, Erin was so sweet and attentive. We ordered the buttermilk biscuits with butter flight ( soooo yummy - the strawberry butter and honey butter were our favorite ) , house omelet ( added chicken ) , and the patty melt . The ambiance inside is very cute, and I would absolutely recommend stopping by the store next door to grab yourself a cute memento . We would definitely come back here ! read more

We made reservations and came on a Monday at 1pm. It was the best experience! We waited just a short amount of time before being seated. Everyone was super friendly, from the person who checked us in to our waiter and fellow patrons. The restaurant is beautiful, of course. We sat near a window and the lighting and atmosphere were perfection. As we were driving into town I read some of the other reviews to try and help me decide what to order and I was surprised to see so many negative comments. I will say right away that we had an amazing experience and did not have any issues during our visit. Don't let those negative reviews sway you when deciding to come and visit. We had been to the Silos a few years ago and decided to get the orange cranberry biscuit to start. It was amazing, as always! We then shared a bowl of the white cheddar bisque. There was a slight chill in the air so this was perfection. I've t was creamy and delightful. For mains, I had the chicken tenders and my boyfriend had the sliders. Both dishes were very flavorful and right on point. I couldn't leave without trying the strawberry butter that everyone talks about. It tasted like strawberry ice cream and was the perfect way to end the meal. From start to finish, the experience was perfect. 5 stars! read more

They don't take reservations so we stopped in, put our name in and then had an hour to explore the town, when they page you, you have 10 minutes to get back to claim your table. It was worth the wait. Breakfast was perfectly cooked and the biscuits...oh my goodness were they good. The strawberry butter was icing on an already wonderful bite. The donut holes by themselves seemed a little overcooked but the chopped apples were cooked perfectly and the flavor balance was spot on. Mimosas were nicely done and service was friendly. There were lots of things on other tables that I would have loved to try, I'd definitely be back if I lived close. read more

Food: We enjoyed the simple yet diverse menu. The appetizers are amazing. The biscuits are tasty along with the strawberries and burrata. My daughter enjoyed the cauliflower steaks, the alfredo was flavorful but some fresh herbs would have set it apart. My son had the steak which he ate all of. The cherry pie was interesting in a good way with a granola crust. The menu had something for everyone. Service: I noticed a difference in the service around us. Not sure what that was all about. Ambiance The decor is country chic. The restaurant is better than many traditional places due to the food flavor and ambiance. read more
My favorite Waco spot thanks to Chip and Diana! I'm so happy that they created this community. I've been a few times since moving to Dallas. I would recommend taking the trip. It's definitely worth the 90 minute car trip if you loved their show on HGTV and now they're on network. I'm really proud of what they created, and the fact that they have made their own city a destination spot. In addition to the restaurant head on over to the shopping area on the other side of the highway it's really cool to see what they've been able to create. The food at the restaurant is really good. My favorite is the chicken finger platter. I know it's random, but it's hits every time as well as the biscuits and gravy. I also really enjoy their flavored lemonade. Not to mention that the restaurant as well as the marketing shops are impeccably designed and aesthetically pleasing. It's a vibe just go. read more
I was very excited to try Magnolia Table so I made a reservation several months in advance. We went on a Monday morning and the reservation really wasn't necessary. The restaurant is beautiful and all of the staff were super friendly. They had a special $18 Chip special which included little pancakes, bacon, eggs your way, a biscuit, and hash browns. My daughter and I shared one because it was a ton of food. Everything was very good but the highlights were the hash browns and biscuit. The honey butter was better than the strawberry butter. Went with my girlfriend for Sunday brunch on Memorial day. We had reservations for 11:30a, we arrived and were promptly seated. Our server was Mylene, she was great! Very friendly, cheerful, answered all questions and checked on us frequently. The food was delicious, you must try the biscuits!!! they melt in your mouth. We order the deviled eggs with bacon, delish. And the chicken salad sandwich, delicious. The ambience was great, not too noisy. And of course, beautiful decor! read more

Parking lot was packed 10:30am Saturday but parking wasn't hard to find. Had reservations. Check in at the door and they'll text you when table is ready. We went to the gift shop to wait as we were early. Our table was ready by 10:30am exactly. Service was friendly. We got the lavender donut holes, strawberry lemonade, strawberry mimosas and jalapeño spicy mocktail. They were delicious. Came in for dinner after graduation. It was quiet then got busy and hoppin'. Everyone was bustling around, but the service was still great. Everything was great the staff was all awesome and our waiter for being the second day on the job did a very good job and was able to answer all of our questions. He was attentive and helpful. Waitlisted around 1045am hoping to get a table for 3 since we didn't make a reservation. Number 9 on the list. By 11:15 we were walking in to be seated. Greeted immediately and brought water. Within minutes our order was taken and it seemed like no time until we had drinks and food. Everything was delicious! So much food that we were unable to finish everything. Price point is on the higher side. Lunch for 3 with appetizers (deviled eggs and amazing bacon for the table to share) was just over $90 with tip. So overall, no issues. No issue with parking in the private lot. No issue with waitlisting. No issue with service and no issue with food. The place is very nicely decorated. It was a bit noisy and loud, but that wasn't an issue for me. I can see how it could be for some. The AC was on and working very well. 5 stars! read more
At first, we got to the magnolia Park and thought that the restaurant was there, but fortunately enough, we had time to drive over to Magnolia table and get seated before they closed the kitchen! The outdoor parking was quite rough, but once you walk into the building, you can tell that it has the Chip and Joanna Gaines touch. All the decorations were on brand and beautiful. They had some seasonal items that seemed delicious, and I had ordered the patty melt with a side of their soup of the day which I believe was butternut squash. The patty melt was toasted and cooked just right. The soup was OK as it appeared to have been reheated or just not as fresh as I had hoped. Overall is a great experience in beginning to our magnolia adventure. read more

Worth driving almost 2 hours to get here , reservations needed. We came for brunch we made reservation over a week ago but the dinners need to be at least 3 months ahead since they only server on Thursday-Saturday. Food is fresh , service is good, atmosphere is very good . Didn't have to wait very long for the food to come. read more

This was definitely a bucket list stop -- and I'm so glad we went! My mom, my daughter, and I spent some time exploring Magnolia Market and then headed over to Magnolia Table for lunch. The whole experience was beautiful -- the restaurant is gorgeous, and the ambiance alone is worth the visit. The food was really good overall -- fresh and thoughtfully prepared. I got the Caesar salad wrap, my mom had the breakfast sandwich with diced potatoes, and my daughter had the kids' breakfast plate with pancakes, sausage, and eggs. The portions were huge -- especially the kids' meal. I wish there were smaller options for toddlers, but I probably could've just asked for a single pancake or something lighter. My Caesar salad wrap was just okay -- not bad at all, just not super memorable. The breakfast sandwich and potatoes, though, were definitely the best thing we tried -- so good! We also ordered the lavender lemon donut holes. Honestly, I think they may have forgotten about them -- they came out a little cold and more cakey than donut-y, if that makes sense. I think they would've been much better if they had been served warm and fresher. Overall, I'd give the food a solid 4 out of 5, with some items being great and others just okay. But the ambiance and overall experience are a definite 5. It's such a beautiful spot with a great vibe. It's more about the full experience -- and I'm really glad we went! read more

We enjoyed the initial experience.. the waiter was great and friendly... then we never saw him again until the bill was due. He also just handed me the bill and pulled out the credit card machine without giving me a chance to look over the bill. We found a hair in the food, it was just laying on top and even though the manager came to apologize, having come all the way from Kingston Jamaica to eat there it felt like a huge disappointment. They came back and plopped a new plate in front of her without a fork or knife. We had to ask again and wait like 5 minutes to get those. The food portions are huge but not in a good way, it feels like a lot of food is wasted as no one around finished there's and asked for boxes. All in all the food was food, biscuits were great but it was not the great experience we were hoping for. read more

Wow, what can I say? There is one thing I can say, it doesn't matter if you get there early they'll still be awake. This is a very popular spot and I was not aware of it. The wait wasn't too bad though. I think we were waiting for a table for about 15 to 20 minutes . They give you the option of waiting for an individual table or a community table. We took the community table (you get to wait less for that one). There were a few of us at the table and everyone was very pleased with what they ordered, but I was extremely pleased with what I ordered. It sounds super basic like a grilled cheese and soup, but I kid you not they were both SO delicious! The grilled cheese gave that TikTok/ASMR type of crunch and that was my first time having butternut squash soup and I kid you not. I had to go home and try to make some myself because how delicious it was. Lastly, service was great. They were super helpful. read more
Every single thing was great. The burger, the fries and their seasoning, the sauce, the strawberry lemonade, the cookies, the waiter and the atmosphere. The inside of the restaurant was really nice, lots of different seating areas. There was also a little shop which was nice to wait in with AC while browsing, and it sold coffee and cookies. Definitely make a reservation if possible because they are so busy. Our food came out quickly even though it was peak lunch rush, and none of the other customers seemed to be waiting long. read more

First things first--you MUST get a reservation. (OpenTable is their reservation system) And try and make it at least 10 days-2 weeks in advance. For a weekend, reservations may book up a week in advance. So try and plan ahead! Note that if you're planning on visiting the Magnolia Market at the Silos (which you should), that this restaurant is about 2 miles/8 minutes drive away. So plan your day accordingly. We ordered Jo's Chicken Salad and a Cesar Chicken Wrap (the wrap was on their seasonal menu). I subbed my kettle chips for seasoned fries, they were delicious! We also ordered some of Jo's homemade biscuits with strawberry butter (divine), lemon lavender donut holes (small but yummy! also a seasonal offering), and a chocolate croissant! Everything was delicious and honestly I don't think you can order wrong here. The place is so beautiful and if you're a fan of Joanna and Magnolia then you'll love every little touch Jo put into this place. It's gorgeous. read more

I was by myself and total time spent there from being seated, ordering, receiving the food, eating, and paying was about 45 minutes.
What time does the line start when they open? On a Saturday?
I was there at 6:45 last Thursday morning and I was 8th in line. Saturday we went by around 9 am and it was an hour wait so we got the the same food from the carry out side.
Reserve for lunch11:30am or noon?
You have to make reservations online. If none available then you can just show up and wait. We arrived at 7:40 am (Monday morning) & waited until 9:45 until we were seated. Hope this helps.
Are they open on thanksgiving or thanksgiving weekend?
Magnolia Table is closed Thanksgiving day but open the Friday & Saturday after. It's crazy busy that weekend so arrive early or try to make reservations if they are taking them.

You can order breakfast all day. The trick is getting in before they stop accepting people.
Do they allow dogs on the outside seating?
The outdoor seating area is a waiting area. They do not serve tables outdoor. And no, I do not believe dogs are allowed. We've been so many times and haven't once seen one.
What's the wait time on a Summer Thursday in the morning?
I have no Idea. I am staying at the magnolia house so we did not have to wait. However, according to the home caretaker it can take up to 1 hour and a half.
Has anyone been to magnolia table on Mother's Day? What is your recommendation?
Sounds like a mom's dream come true!! I haven't been, but I would anticipate a wait.
