Was surprised at the hour wait time to be seated for lunch in the middle of the week, but obviously the place is popular. We were able to be seated more quickly because we said we'd be open to the "bar stool" tables which I kind of regretted. I should have asked to see them before saying yes. My husband said he felt like we were "put in a corner", but it really it was just that we were facing a wall that was 2' in front of our faces. While the food was good, they swapped our order with a couple next to us, which was understandable since apparently we ordered almost exactly the same thing. But the issue was I ordered a burger, medium well done with everything on it and selected the bacon jam option. She apparently ordered her burger. well-done with no lettuce or tomato or jam. My husband ordered the chicken salad croissant and asked for fries instead of chips while a couple next to us had ordered a chicken salad croissant with chips. Those orders were swapped as well. Again, this was easily understandable because our orders were so similar, and we were sitting right next to each other, but they did nothing to compensate on our bill for the mixup. We had to wait quite a while before we could get someone to tell them what happened. I don't think the other couple was even made aware. By the time they offered to remake my food I told them I would rather just have the stuff that was missing so I could eat more quickly. At first, we got to the magnolia Park and thought that the restaurant was there, but fortunately enough, we had time to drive over to Magnolia table and get seated before they closed the kitchen! The outdoor parking was quite rough, but once you walk into the building, you can tell that it has the Chip and Joanna Gaines touch. All the decorations were on brand and beautiful. They had some seasonal items that seemed delicious, and I had ordered the patty melt with a side of their soup of the day which I believe was butternut squash. The patty melt was toasted and cooked just right. The soup was OK as it appeared to have been reheated or just not as fresh as I had hoped. This was definitely a bucket list stop -- and I'm so glad we went! My mom, my daughter, and I spent some time exploring Magnolia Market and then headed over to Magnolia Table for lunch. The whole experience was beautiful -- the restaurant is gorgeous, and the ambiance alone is worth the visit. The food was really good overall -- fresh and thoughtfully prepared. I got the Caesar salad wrap, my mom had the breakfast sandwich with diced potatoes, and my daughter had the kids' breakfast plate with pancakes, sausage, and eggs. The portions were huge -- especially the kids' meal. I wish there were smaller options for toddlers, but I probably could've just asked for a single pancake or something lighter. My Caesar salad wrap was just okay -- not bad at all, just not super memorable. The breakfast sandwich and potatoes, though, were definitely the best thing we tried -- so good! We also ordered the lavender lemon donut holes. Honestly, I think they may have forgotten about them -- they came out a little cold and more cakey than donut-y, if that makes sense. He also just handed me the bill and pulled out the credit card machine without giving me a chance to look over the bill. We found a hair in the food, it was just laying on top and even though the manager came to apologize, having come all the way from Kingston Jamaica to eat there it felt like a huge disappointment. They came back and plopped a new plate in front of her without a fork or knife. We had to ask again and wait like 5 minutes to get those. Wow, what can I say? There is one thing I can say, it doesn't matter if you get there early they'll still be awake. This is a very popular spot and I was not aware of it. The wait wasn't too bad though. I think we were waiting for a table for about 15 to 20 minutes . They give you the option of waiting for an individual table or a community table. We took the community table (you get to wait less for that one). There were a few of us at the table and everyone was very pleased with what they ordered, but I was extremely pleased with what I ordered. It sounds super basic like a grilled cheese and soup, but I kid you not they were both SO delicious! For a weekend, reservations may book up a week in advance. So try and plan ahead! Note that if you're planning on visiting the Magnolia Market at the Silos (which you should), that this restaurant is about 2 miles/8 minutes drive away. So plan your day accordingly. We ordered Jo's Chicken Salad and a Cesar Chicken Wrap (the wrap was on their seasonal menu). I subbed my kettle chips for seasoned fries, they were delicious! We also ordered some of Jo's homemade biscuits with strawberry butter (divine), lemon lavender donut holes (small but yummy! also a seasonal offering), and a chocolate croissant! We've attempted to get into this restaurant previously without a reservation but the wait was excessive. Made a reservation thru Open Table for 7:30am Saturday morning, and it's 1.5hrs drive. We made it. Restaurant interior is cutting edge design with industrial and modern elements but was not sterile. . Very welcoming staff. Was not super crowded at this time so parking was available. The menu is not extensive but you can see Joanna Gaines touch on both food and decor. We ordered the lavender and lemon donut holes which we expected before the entrees but weren't delivered until the end of our breakfast. We both ordered Benedict's and the eggs in both were overcooked. We asked for a replacement with runny yolks but replacement eggs were still overcooked. The signature biscuits were very tasty on both dishes. We appreciated the prep on the bacon and chicken proteins. The gravy on the Southern Benedict was superb and got a good amount by asking for it on the side. The hollandaise sauce on the other Benedict was scarce so shared excess gravy. Coffee was very tasty and clearly a signature blend. Special touches with signature napkins and heavy ceramic branded coffee cups were apparent. Glassware was simple but lovely and atypical of most utilitarian restaurant dishes. Service was friendly but very slow, even before the restaurant got filled up. I think it was the kitchen and not the wait staff. By the time we left -@9am- there were people standing everywhere in the entrance and the parking lot was full. It was a pricey restaurant breakfast but would like go back with a reservation for a dinner just to try it. Would be very sensitive to busy times or occasions if you're wanting to try the restaurant. I came here Friday on my way down to Austin. I am not a fan of the fixer upper show and have not been following chip or Joanna Gaines as they continue to make a name for themselves and waco. My best friend really likes them and have always wanted to try magnolia table. I figured it must be pretty good due to how popular it was. I also knew it was right off the highway and would be a great pit stop for me to grab some lunch before I continued south. I arrived at 2pm (they close at 3pm) and was seated right away. Service was slow but friendly, it was still packed even in the late afternoon. I saw online they would be starting dinner service for the first time next weekend and their dinner selections looked far better than their brunch. I ended up getting the eggs Benedict which had pepper bacon over Jo's biscuits. The hollandaise sauce was good, it was light and had lots of lemon in it. The biscuits were huge and delicious. I thought overall it was a solid Benedict. I wish it came with some breakfast potatoes or a side since it was $14. I ordered a slice of apple pie to go and was completely underwhelmed by it. It had a crumble top (which i despise) and it was overly sweet. Marie calendars has better apple pie in the frozen section at your grocery store. Overall I was fairly disappointed and magnolia table did not live up to the hype. The menu was boring (think chicken salad, sandwiches, salads) and the service was unbelievably slow. I am glad I had the experience, the interior was pleasant and I can say I have been here but I would never recommend it to anyone. I was so excited to try the place out with my husband for his birthday! I really liked the warm atmosphere and ambiance, perfect for any meal. We were seated right away however it took longer than expected to be greeted by our service. The food was good, we loved the onion rings and the sauce it came with. This place is great! The Take away area is dog friendly they didn't have pup cups but they did have a bowl of water that they allowed us to borrow which was really nice! The Takeaway outdoor seating area is covered which was really nice because it was raining when we went It's also nice to have for the heat. Parking can be tricky but it seemed like people were constantly going in and out of the lot so we were able to get a spot quickly. The bad part was I only received 1 refill despite telling the waitress I really wanted coffee. My cup was dry. Sad day! We ordered the biscuits and flight of butter. They were tasty. My wife had the farm breakfast. My children ordered the breakfast tacos. My daughter ordered fruit instead of potatoes. I ordered buttermilk pancakes. The breakfast potatoes that came with the breakfast taco plate and farm breakfast plate were unseasoned- not even salt. The breakfast tacos were delicious. My wife ordered eggs over hard for the farm breakfast. They were ok, but didn't look like fresh cracked eggs (more like liquid eggs cooked in a small round pan). My pancakes look awesome and had a large round scoop of butter in the center but unfortunately they were not cooked completely. Also, the butter was so too cold and hard so it did not melt much. The pancakes weren't gooey but were more like a soft mush. The waitress Rose did exchange it for the breakfast tacos plate and thankfully my potatoes were seasoned with salt and something reddish. They were good. Still only 2 cups of coffee and no offering of more. At $3.50 a cup, I expect a bottomless cup. The place looked well kept and clean. We had a great experience at Magnolia Table. The atmosphere was everything that you would expect from Chip and Joanna. It was warm and welcoming. The staff was "chipper" and embracing, as if we were all family. You can tell they love their jobs! They made us feel at home. From the time we walked in until we walked out the door it was first class service. The menu was full, yet simple at the same time. You didn't feel overwhelmed yet there was still a large variety of items on the menu. The chicken breast was crispy on the outside yet moist on the inside it was well seasoned. The potatoes melted in my mouth. The gravy was some of the best gravy that I've ever had, and I have tasted a lot of gravy. Not just your typical flour and milk. It was unique yet tasty with a kick of spice. The burger was big and juicy. The flavors popped. The bun tased fresh. The deviled eggs with the bacon jam I could not get enough. They oushined most appetizers that I've had. They had me wanting more. I love the fact that the restaurant had a casual yet upscale feel at the same time. This place exceeded my expectations. I've made reservations to avoid the long wait times every time we've gone and each time I have notated that we need a handicap accessible table for a wheelchair. It seems to take them by surprise each time. This is annoying because it tells me they don't pay attention to details. It's a cool place because of seeing it on TV. It's clean which is a big plus! They seem to care about how the place looks, but the food is a hit or miss. Sadly more of a miss than hit. I've order the famous biscuits each time I've been and each time they have been over baked and are hard. No amount of strawberry butter can fix that. I've ordered "over easy" eggs that have been served with uncooked egg whites. Yuck! My husband's omelet was really bland. No sauces, no garnishes, it looked like they forgot to plate something. Nothing special. The cinnamon rolls are really wonderful! However we stopped in at the "Grab and Go" area and ordered 3 cinnamon rolls to go. One was half the size of the other two. What was so frustrating is the clerk had to package it up knowing it was half the size it should have been. I would have returned it but I had already left the restaurant. Be sure to check your order before you leave. For the most part, the service in the restaurant has been good. One waitress did place the coffee carafe down on the coffee cup which is a big no-no due to cross contamination. Lunch at the Magnolia Table on a Friday in December was packed. There was no Yelp waitlist option, so we just showed up to a 45 minute wait. Thankfully for those who are spontaneous like us, there's a to-go corner around the building with the full menu and some souvenirs. There's also outdoor seating. There was no line, and the wait was only 15-20 minutes for food. We got the burger and eggs benedict, and everything was super tasty! The food is wrapped to go, but most people take it only as far as the cute patio outside. This place is riding the Magnolia brand. So I got 2 burgers with fries, and fried chicken with mashed potatoes. The meal was $108 after tip. This was like cheap comfort food and it was over $100? I could have got this a Denny's. The service was slow and one burger was sent back 2x because they kept putting cheese on it even after we told them there was a lactose food allergy. Even after the 3rd time it still had cheese residue because they scraped it off. Also the burgers are super greasy and no veggies to at least cut the grease. The ambience is average and feels like you are too close to the next table. Waco has some good restaurants. Go to different one. read more

I'm a biscuit snob and these are some of my favorite. They're so soft and buttery without being greasy. You get 4 good size biscuits with PLENTY of strawberry butter to douse them with. I'd order these again in a heartbeat! JO'S BUTTERMILK BISCUITS WITH SAUSAGE GRAVY (9/10) - I had never tried the sausage gravy before so I wanted to give it a shot and wasn't disappointed. It was a perfect Southern sausage gravy... it was the right consistency (not too thick or thin) with plenty of sausage crumbles throughout and I loved the fresh cracked pepper on top. You get 3 good size biscuits (same thoughts as above) with plenty of the sausage gravy. I'd order these again in a heartbeat too! BREAKFAST SANDWICH (8/10) - Overall, this was a great sandwich. The croissant wasn't the best croissant I've ever had... it was flaky but a little flat. The arugula was super fresh, the tomato slice was nice and juicy, and the garlic aioli was delicious! I had my egg cooked over easy and the runny yolk really made the sandwich! You get a generous side of breakfast potatoes as well. I probably wouldn't order this again only because I'd rather try other things. JO'S CRUNCHY FRENCH TOAST (10/10) - Phenomenal! The caramel cornflakes have the perfect level of sweetness... you don't even need the syrup because the actual French toast with the whipped cream is enough on its own. You get 6 halves of French toast which is plenty to fill you up. I'd definitely order this again! FRENCH FRIES WITH FRY SAUCE (8.5/10) - The French fries were cooked well and weren't overly greasy. The fry sauce is the star of the show... so good! I'd order these again if I were in the mood for fries. The cappuccino and latte were surprisingly good as well! Definitely worth the $5 each! Of course, Magnolia Table is incredibly aesthetically pleasing, but I'm happy to report that the quality of service and taste of food match and even exceed expectations. I'd recommend it to others, even if they aren't into the Chip and Joanna scene. read more

It was the name that brought us in. Counting on Joanna to offer a good meal. The food wasn't awful. It was ok. Just about everything on the menu, including the chicken has maple syrup in it. The maple syrup chicken was interesting.... a description we collectively agreed upon. I loved the mushroom and our biscuits. I was hoping for more of a cozy feeling from the ambiance. It wasn't elevated above other such dining as I expected. read more
