Came in on Memorial Day at 9:30 and I was the only one in the restaurant. The bartender happily served me and did not rush me even though they close at 10:00. I had the scallops served over risotto and they were spectacular. Coming back here tomorrow night with a party of 14, need to try the steak! read more

Everything that was expected was delivered. From the time we walked in the door everything was top notch. Great addition to the Waco dining scene. We visited on a Saturday night and were greeted by the friendly hostess who sat us promptly while live piano played in the back ground. We were quickly attended to by our server with waters before getting our drink order. We ordered the whiskey sour and bluebonnet old fashioned which were both delicious. We decided to get a couple of appetizers, the pork belly and Brie toast, which both were very nice portions and great flavor. We then split a house salad and the scallops with a pesto risotto which went great together. The service was some of the best I have had in Waco and we both felt like the entire experience was a great value. We will definitely be back soon read more

We were surprised to find that this was a restaurant in a hotel, but OMG! We will definitely be back when we pass through again. The restaurant was lovely, the ambience was inviting. We were a group of eight and in no way did they disappoint either in service or food, which food was delicious! Everybody in the table loved their dish. From the fish to the steak to the pasta... It was all on point. And the service was excellent. Plus, we had a live piano music! Arrived at 5pm. My wife and I were the only customers in restaurant our whole visit. Ordered steak medium rare. Got it well done. There was a gristle running the length of it. It was hard to only give 3 stars because the food was amazing. We had a party of 8 and the steaks were very flavorful and rich. The brussel sprouts were very good but could've been a little more charred. The sweet potatoes were perfect and the ambience was delightful. Let's get to the service, there was none. We had to flag down our waitress for drinks, then flag her down to order an appetizer, flag her down to order food, flag her down for refills. Then to top it off they automatically charged 20% which was over $100 for tip that she no way deserved. This place has such poor service. I can't imagine ever trying to go back again. The hours aren't correct on yelp and when you call, no one answers the phone and when you get there in person they're defensive about the hours and not interested in a new customer. They don't serve food after a certain time but the restaurant says it's open - and they're only serving drinks late which you know sounds like it contributes to drunk driving. Upon arrival and I was dressed very nicely and I came in politely and I came in apologetically because there is no one at the hostess stand and the bartender was just a growler. I didn't find this place to be at all helpful or up to the previous standard. Something must have happened in the last few months with mgmt and staffing and it's not good. First time trying this place it came Recommended. Atmosphere was great. We sat at the bar top and the place wasn't busy. Waited about 20 mins for bartender to take our drink order (old fashion & cosmo) drinks was fantastic. We ordered the ribeye steak cooked medium. It was one of the worst steaks I've ever had at a restaurant. One side was seared great other side wasn't touch. Way under cooked blue/rare still cool Center. The wait staff did not come to the table and shared little concern when we expressed our dis- satisfaction with the food and the service. We got our soup and steaks but had to get up to find our waiter to ask for spoons and steak knives. Menu is great. Very high end. Maybe a little too high end for this area, but promising. Vibe is terrible though. Lighting is way too bright. No separation from hotel lobby and this very high end steakhouse. Create a much better exclusive entry, dim the lights, create some sections so you can't see someone on the far side of the room, curate a better playlist (nobody wants to listen to Black Eyed Peas from the 2000s while they are eating a $100 steak, separate the bar from the rest of the diners. The chef sent out my dish cold and then instead of remaking it, they just sent me the same reheated dish three times. That just made it go from a cold dish to an overcooked dish. At least the server and bartender were awesome. Live piano music was great. So take away is; come for drinks and music, and hopefully the kitchen gets their act together. read more

This restaurant is located within the Cambria Hotel to the side of the front desk. It has a beautiful upscale environment and decor. Seating did seem very limited, so make a reservation before you come. We were given a complementary dish that I can't remember the name of. I also ordered the seafood bisque and the New York Strip. The seafood bisque had a peppery kick and tasted great. They allow you to choose your own steak knife before the steaks come out, which is very nice. Unfortunately, the lower rating is due to the steaks. The New York Strip did not taste properly seasoned. It did have a good crust, but the flavor profile was very weak. It was also dry on the inside as if the juices were expelled. The ribeye was over-cooked, but it was a thinner steak that came out. The meat itself had a good flavor, but also seemed under seasoned prior to cooking. All of the staff were very nice and cordial. Very professional feel, and the service was great. It's definitely worth another try and I hope the steaks are better the next time around! read more

Loved the food and the ambiance. I'm a bit in the fence about the service bc we got the menu after a group that came after us got served drinks. That felt uncomfortable. But we went for the food and they delivered! The shrimp tagliolini and the steak were delicious! The lamb wrap starter was a bit under seasoned but the dip made up for it. I actually ate two meals here but will review separately because my experience was much different. The dinner meal was absolutely wonderful. My friend and I got the tomahawk ribeye steak for two and added brussels sprouts as an appetizer. The meal came with a baked potato and salad. The steak was cooked to perfection and the food in general was wonderful. We had a waitress who was attentive to our needs, but for some reason everything we asked for took a long time to be brought. It is a very high end restaurant which probably explains why there were very few people there on a Friday night. I'm not sure a place with these prices will make it in Waco. read more

Husband and I had dinner here tonight for our anniversary. Atmosphere was nice, but music was too loud for a higher end restaurant. Menu selection decent. Service was fair. We ordered the bread & butter appetizer. Was not impressed. Just a small variety of bread slices (was also expecting rolls, etc), but the butters were good. I had 12 oz ribeye w/truffle fries. It was ok, but not great. Husband had ahi tuna & steak w/brussels sprouts. He said he would liked to of had a dipping sauce for the tuna. I have written very positive reviews in the past about BLVD and have promoted it with friends. Tonight, we took another couple and it was a disaster. There apparently has been a lot of staff turnover (including the manager) and the results are catastrophic. It seemed odd that it should take 20 minutes to get cocktails/wine, until we realized there was one bartender for a big restaurant. When they came, it was one at a time. The food was disappointing to say the least. Our friends ordered the gnocchi and scallops. Both dishes arrived stone cold. My wife had the branzino, which she has ordered before and loved. Tonight, it was "fishy" and she ate no more than half. I ordered an 8 oz. strip steak, medium rare. It came very undercooked and had more gristle than I've ever had in a good restaurant. Here's the perfect example of how far wrong this place has gone: when our entrees came, we ordered two glasses of red wine. One arrived after we finished our entrees. Ten minutes later, they told us they didn't have the other. Both glasses were included on the check! Yes, we complained to the manager and executive chef, and some items were comped. But the bottom line is we paid $180 (before tip) for sub-par food and a frustrating experience. I loved this restaurant--read my earlier reviews. But apparently, the people who made it great are long gone. read more

The food, wine/drink menu, and service were fantastic!!! I can't wait to go back. The amuse bouche was turkey burnt ends with a pepper jelly on top, so good. We had the grilled cheese for starter, baguette with bone marrow butter, black truffle, and melted Brie. It was rich and toasty and amazing. Now the food...we did go in for dinner and it was close to 8 or so but I expected delicious fresh cooked food. Unfortunately, that is not what we received. My niece had the chicken Alfredo, overcooked chicken, definitely not freshly made and pasta that seemed to have just been reheated as well. I am quite the chef in my family and I know what freshly made food tastes and looks like. Same with my salmon dish, everything seemed to have just been reheated. So let's all be honest. Everyone has "that friend". The relationship with him started at the hotel bar. He quickly became a best friend when six ninjas came through the windows and demanded my debit card info! He began handing out a level of martial arts that I've not witnessed..... Tre-jitsu.... I still to this day have my debit and I owe it to Tre. Tre not only defended the honor of BLVD Steakhouse and my card information, but he was also able to give top notch service that is unparalleled within his peers; his ability to balance service with conversation and maintain a rapport with several customers at once should qualify him for some kind of trophy. As quoted from the great Fred Flintstone during an interview with Walter Cronkite: Tre gave me the motivation to create my go-to phrase 'yabba dabba doo!' I once saw him save a fallen geriatric from the top of a tree whilst providing respiratory support for a kitten that was just pulled from a burning out-house, and all I could think was 'yabba dabba doo!' I think I can speak for all of us when I say thank you, Tre. BLVD should thank its holy leaders that they have you, and no doubt give you a bonus in the highest monetary degree. read more

Our waitress was so terrible it's hard to give this restaurant a good review. Here's what I thought. Our martinis were warm enough to ask for ice, we didn't get them for 22 minutes. When I asked where our drinks were she said she would check...that pissed her off so when she finally did get them she almost slammed them on the table. She took our order without writing it down, and of course it was wrong, I never got my salad. The steak was amazing, the mushrooms were cold and I sent them back. Our waitress brought them back out and told us they heated them back up, they made them chewy, they were terrible, they tasted rotten, she never asked about them again. I get it, I have been a server but the dirty looks were not making me feel welcome at all. I would never go back even though the steak was good. There are plenty of places that have great steaks and service. I asked my husband not to give her a 20% tip but of course he did. He expected this at a hotel Steak house, I would have never done that, bad service is a reason not to tip, fortunately for her, he did. read more

Went there right after they opened and wasn't impressed, but went back a couple weeks later and was very impressed! Got the chateaubriand served with the super yummy Diane sauce and an amazing sweet potato with pancetta and Parmesan cheese. I like how their menu pairs savory and sweet together for a lot of their dishes. Really great and beautiful atmosphere and the staff is so friendly!! This is the second time we have had dinner at BLVD Steakhouse Both times have been a wonderful experience But the second visit was extra special thanks to Grace and Daniel Grace went above and beyond we were trying to get a reservation for 5 on a busy Friday night on short notice things weren't looking good until Grace worked her magic and was able to get us a table she was so professional and very kind I was so impressed by the the way she set everything up I wish she had been at the restaurant when we showed up so I could thank her personally. Then when we arrived we had the pleasure of having Daniel take care of us for dinner He was on point 100 percent of the time he is very knowledgeable about everything the restaurant has to offer and how the food was prepared He paid the perfect amount of attention to our table with out hovering and allowing us to enjoy our meal but seemed to be right there whenever we had a question or needed something These two people made it a perfect evening Also the atmosphere is top notch This is a hidden gem in Waco that I will always look forward to dinning at Once again Thank You Grace and Daniel for making our Friday night such a special experience read more
