What a delightful hidden gem! The food was reasonably priced and delicious. The staff was friendly. My friend and I had lunch and Stacy was our waitress. I had a cheeseburger with homemade onion rings. The burger had a wonderful char-grilled flavor. The staff brought us and everyone in the restaurant a piece of strawberry cake for dessert (on the house!!). I was told the restaurant has been in Robinson since 1961. Small home town cafe with a local feel to this cafe. Employees greeted frequent customers by name. Chicken fried steak and eggs with a side of fruit. Food was hot! Fruit was fresh! The food just needed a little more seasoning, but nothing to be disappointed in. Service was good and the wait staff was busy tending to tables and getting ready for the lunch run. read more

Very upset with this place. I ordered two hamburger steak meals to go and asked for everything including three graveyard to be put in separate containers. Got my food and everything was pile together and not separate. My gravy is everywhere on all my food items. The rolls are soaked from the gravy. I'm always in search of the best chicken fried steak and this place was top ranking! The first was perfectly fried and crunchy, the beef was tender and the gravy had a good consistency. The mashed potatoes were equally delicious! The green beans were just ok but honestly the chicken fried steak made up for that! Service was great and friendly! It's a charming cafe in a smaller sized town with plenty of seating available. I will definitely be back! read more

This is just a solid place to eat in Robinson. They have lunch specials and student specials with a variety of traditional options to meet the paper of anyone ready for some traditional American diner food. I am not certain if this was a sit yourself place, but I came in during a busy time and went ahead and grabbed a booth, and not too long after was kindly greeted by my waitress. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which came with a roll, salad, and two sides. I did have to add a bit of salt to taste but not much, everything was delicious, and I really enjoyed the creaminess of the Mac and cheese. My friend grabbed the daily special (thin strips of catfish) and the order was barely through before the meal hit the table. This was an excellent amount of food for the price, and the room was bright and clean. I never had to ask for a refill and left comfortably full excited about my next stop in. read more

Recently moved back to area and visited cafe again after many years/ decades. Always busy when pass by so decided stop by after dr and on way vote next door. We were very disappointed in food and the booth was taped together...must be the originals. Food was warm, not hot. Bacon smelled and tasted bad so didnt eat it. Hash browns and eggs not great. Coffee and fruit was good. Told woman who checked us out about bacon and she laughed at us. Guess locals keep going here because it been here so long or maybe we went on bad day but we will definitely not be back. read more

Started off with water that tasted like it came out of the minnow tank. Egg was over cooked. Grits were soupy and made with the fish water so they tasted bad. Bacon was tough as leather. Food came out warm instead of hot. Will never eat there again. read more

It's located in an older strip-mall, and its white with primary colors decor and tile floor makes for an austere or kid-friendly environment. The food was good! I got the Hungry Man's breakfast and it was good! Waitress was a bit low on energy, but everyone else was energetic, talkative, and polite. Overall, it was still a good experience. Next time, I'll have to try the burgers for lunch! read more

Excellent little cafe. Decor is the typical cute cafe, that boasts their local High school academics and athletics. Which is awesome. The employees are always super friendly., and their food is delicious. If you like home style meals, then this is the place. Pricing of all the meals are also decent. And after your meal they always have a lady bring around a tray full of different types of desserts to choose from. :) great for groups or a family meal. read more

eaten here since i was a kid...hasnt changed not one little bit. one of the few counter style services still around...down home waitresses. dependable, inexpensive, always tasty!! has been as far back as i can remember and as recently as last month. go ahead and trust rocket...you wont be sorry. read more
