Waitresses only make like $2/hr and depend on tips for the rest of their income. My waitresses was here by herself besides the cook, she was responsible for waiting plus clearing tables, washing the dishes, manning the checkout, literally everything except the actual cooking. She's been here three days and did a very good job considering she is brand new. I hope she stays. She spent several minutes talking to me about my current trip, checked on me regularly, and checked me out accurately and quickly. Carlos is the cook. He makes some damn good fried pork chops! But too many of these restaurants trying to do chicken and waffles take the shortcut and use processed boneless chicken parts reformed to look like an actual natural piece. I was supposed to get a thigh on each waffle. The chicken vaguely resembled thighs. But the meat was white and very salty. Not good. Should I ever drop in again, I'll stick with a more traditional combination and maybe my extra will be better. And oh, that credit card machine is set at a default of about 22% tip and that's on top of tax. Watch out!
