We had jr burgers and shared a fried okra - quick, hot, and delicious! Jr burger was plenty.

Was driving to Houston and been on the road for 6 hrs so was getting very hungry so pulled over in this small town to see what was around. This was the closest place to where I was so thought I'd try it. What an absolute wonderful place I found. Got a cheeseburger and fries and loved it. Just a great home cooked burger. It was perfect. Not a fancy place but very nice. Looked like a good place where locals go to eat. The staff is very friendly. So happy I stopped! read more

Their plate lunches are great and the servers are friendly...Speed of service is slow, but the staff is knowledgeable

Great little hole in the wall place. Very good down home Southern cooking. The Wednesday special was a fried pork chop with mashed potatoes and blackeyed peas or collard greens. It was served with very good cornbread. So glad we stumbled on it. read more

I had steak finger, and they were excellent, came hot and fresh to the table. Would definitely go there again.

Yummy burgers, fries, onion rings, great service! If you're in the area, stop by--you won't regret it!

Good food... Good service...BLT and Club sandwich hit the spot... on our sister's trip... been around a long time

I was pleasantly surprised. Friends were visiting and I'm new to the area and didn't know anything besides the few fast food places I'd seen but really didn't want to do. Another friend had mentioned a place but couldn't remember the name. I did a last ditch search and spotted this place. We ordered at the counter and they brought it to us. They didn't bat an eye when I ordered my burger bun-less. I ended up with a serving of collard greens as a side that were tasty. My friends had the shrimp and catfish. Everyone loved their food. A friend wanted cobbler but they didn't have any that day. I messaged the one friend later with the business page from Yelp and it was where she was trying to tell me to go. I definitely will be back. read more

Old drive in that is still fixing great food. Clean and neat with a great BLT and Club Sandwich We made a quick stop-through on the way to Houston. Great waitstaff been in business since 1946! read more

Shout out to Lakeview drive-inn for being so courteous! They made sure to make my sandwich just how I liked it and the cook even made sure to come out and double check how I wanted my sandwich. The French fries were great and my bf really loved the burger he got!! It's the cutest little diner inside and the vintage signs throughout it made it very cute and small town feeling - in a good way!! They also had a pretty decent parking lot, big enough to park our 40ft bus @alicethewonderbus :) thanks Lakeview Drive in for the great experience and good food!! read more

I would have given them 4 stars but 2 things they had advertised they didn't have any. Update: The owner personally came out and gave me a free meal coupon. Said they got busy and didn't have a chance to update the board. Very nice man. They deserve 4 stars. read more

Not right off the highway, but short detour. And well worth it! Big hand pressed patties! Fried okra and tots are to die for! Onion rings are good too. I feel like we probably made a mistake not getting a shake or float. I bet they are amazing too! read more

Completely worth the stop! This lovely little lake side cafe serves the best home cooked food. The ladies are sweet as can be. Nice, local clientele (a great indicator), delicious desserts. It was clean, nicely arranged and decorated with cute southern and country decor. Great seating area. Takes you back to a nice time and place. Kind folks and good food! Well done y'all! read more

We stopped here at the tail end of a long road trip. Cute little place and the Best cheeseburgers my husband and I have had in a very long time. They were huge too. Neither one of us could eat the whole thing. The people there were also very friendly! Will definitely stop in again when we are in the area. read more

Recommended to us by the local ford dealer when we were in town to buy a vehicle. The specials are cooked home style. Husband had the chicken fried steak with collard greens and black eyed peas. His steak was freshly battered and the sides were freshly made. Enjoyed it and we returned two days later when we came back to finalize our paperwork at the dealership Recommend. The reason it wasn't five stars is because in our return visit when we ordered something off the regular menu they were out of the product and the young girl behind the counter didn't know much about the product and didn't ask. We had to ask another employee. Over all we will return and enjoyed our food. Brittany was awesome. They are cash only establishment. This is suppose to change within the next two weeks. The price is very reasonable. The steak finger basket ( 5 to 7 steak fingers, small salad, French fries, and toast ) $5.99. read more

Cash or Check only! And oh so yummy! We have a soft spot for small town drive-ins just like Lakeview. The hubs and I both had double cheeseburgers with onion rings and cheese tots. Great flavor to the burger with fresh toppings. I was so glad it came out piping hot. It was good and hot to the last glorious bite. The onion rings were sweet and crispy goodness. The cheese tots a little spicy. In heaven over here don't mind me! We were too full to try a slice of fresh pie. Next time because we will be back for sure! read more

Although it says drive-in, there is plenty of indoor seating in a very clean, nice restaurant. The staff is very friendly and if you ask, they make accurate recommendations of the menu. We had the catfish, shrimp, chicken fried chicken, oakra, fries, a vanilla shake, and sweet tea. Fabulous food. Great people. Highly recommend. read more

Great place!! Cute, clean atmosphere with good burgers and onion rings. We came on 11/6, and the leaves are turning and it's very pretty and if you sit in the back room, there is a lake view, hence "lake view" read more

One of the best burgers around!! Always friendly, fresh, and quick! Try the spicy fries and the price is amazing.

Really like this place - on our way to Fort Worth and got off the main highway and saw the crowd so stopped. Fried catfish and chicken fried steak pretty good. There's pride in the place - clean and friendly - order and pay at window and food is brought to you. Might have a hamburger next time - the person having one in booth next to us - looked good. read more
