Stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon to pick up some sandwiches for a family picnic. I placed the order online for pickup. Overall, we were satisfied with what we ordered. The food was well packaged and the sandwiches were wrapped really well. When ordering Bahn Mi sometimes you don't know what you're going to get. These were on the pricier side and small compared to the Bahn Mi I'm used to getting. I will say the chicken in the Bahn mi was a little dry but the bread was really tasty. My husband really enjoyed his teriyaki chicken and would order again. I can't say too much about the ambiance as we took our food to go. This eatery is located inside The Union Hall. My youngest daughter and Mrs. ordered a combo plate and chicken potstickers to share. The combo plate consisted of three pork skewers, two small veggie egg rolls, and noodle. The heat level requested was one. It took a very long time for the foods to come out. The pork skewers were tender but lacking bold flavor we were hoping for. The veggie egg rolls were nicely fries, not oily. The noodle had a curry flavor and it looked like ramen noodle brough from grocery store. It was also too spicy for my youngest daughter. The combo plate was ok, not memorable. The chicken potstickers were kind of lacking in flavor and texture. The potstickers were not pan-fried enough. The potstickers wouldn't be competitive in any Asian town eateries. This location is unfortunately CLOSED. There was a sign on the door stating the Union Hall location (just a few blocks away) is still open so I went there. The Teriyaki Chicken was very well seasoned and I enjoyed it. Just wish it was a bit larger for the price paid. Service was good. read more

The skewers were so good!! Portion was a little small but I guess adding the egg rolls filled me up. Skewers had the perfect smokey aroma and a perfect blend of sweet and savory flavor. I would 100% stop by here whenever I am on my way to Dallas again. It is located inside a food court/hall. No longer a food truck. Good service. Took a bit long to get our food because they were very busy. Pretty noisy inside, just your typical food court setting, nothing special. Heard great things about this place from my friends, so I decided to give this place a visit. The staff was very nice and was really flexible with what I wanted. I ordered the Blasian but instead of the noodles, I got the fried rice. The skewers were decent; nicely seasoned but a bit tough, cold, and dry (especially the beef skewer). The egg rolls I got lacked filling and were mostly just wrapping. But what really stood out was the fried rice. This is by far the BEST fried rice that I have tasted anywhere! The rice had a perfect smokey, buttery, and garlic taste to each bite. You can add spiciness to the rice, which really sets it apart. The spicy seasoning tasted similar to the Shin ramen packet seasoning, which elevated the dish to a whole another level. I usually never order fried rice at restaurants, but this one is 100% worth the price. I'd come back to this place just to order the fried rice. It's also inspired me to be more creative with my own home-cooked fried rice. read more

The service... well it is a walk up and order type deal but the guy was great. He helped us navigate the menu and told us the most popular dishes to order. Plus he explained their heat levels... We wanted to try it all. We place our order of fried rice, orange chicken, yellow noodles, egg rolls and spicy fried rice level 2 and went to select our seats. The food took a little bit but not too long. When it came out it all smelled wonderful! The spicy selection was a bit strange... had a strong flavor of cumin that was on the verge og over powering. The orange chicken was underwhelming. Almost like the chicken was just frozen nuggets out of a bag and then covered in a goopy orange glaze. My least favorite for sure. However the reg fried rice was outstanding! The yellow noodles were scrumptious and the egg rolls were fantastic. Delicious! My kids made the fried rice disappear, my wife loved the yellow noodles... This is a hard review to write so I'll just start by saying the staff were really fun and friendly. The noodles tasted like a better version of ramen, egg rolls like frozen from a grocery store and the skewers of meat, aside from the chicken were chewy. The chicken lemongrass skewer was delicious! What a fun place to try and I imagine college kids and younger would be pleased but we were expecting something a little more authentic to homemade Cambodian food. After a long day of shopping and gallivanting around downtown Waco, we landed in college town and decided to blend into the crowd of college kids who filled the hallways at this downtown food hall. They are located inside the union food hall, and offer a variety of Cambodian fusion food! Loved Union Hall, felt like we were in college again!!! Strangely, even though this is near Baylor campus, we saw families with kids and singles alike. They offer a variety, pizza, wings, burgers, etc. so there's something for everybody! A bit crowded and social distancing wasn't really enforced, so if that is a concern for you, probably not best to dine here. Blasian was a blast! Quick service, stood in line, ordered, and food was out semi-quickly. We were hungry, soooo...it felt like forever! I like that you can pick your own spicy level too! We ordered the Blasian combo, the baby bok choy plate, and the potstickers as an appetizer. Everything was scrumptious except for the dumplings. I'd recommend getting their crispy egg rolls rather than the dumplings. One of my new favorite spots in Waco and is easier to see the the menu on the big T.V screen. The service is great the staff are friendly, attentive, and always urgent to prepare food and serve costumers on the spot. Most importantly the food is the prize of this place. It is always hot food never served cold, the 1-5 spice levels are accurate, the consistency of the portions are excellent, and it is always fresh from what I've experience. Every dish has a little bit of everything you're looking for such as a protein based dish of 3 different meats, to the healthy bunch of freshly cut mixed vegetables or, a balance of the two. I ordered the stir fry bok choy with minced pork with about a level 1 spice and could not stop thinking about how great the flavor was with each bite. The cooks were busy because of all the online orders but luckily this had no impact on the quality of the meal. I'd highly recommend! It's been quite some time since I've had Cambodian food. I was visiting Waco and stumbled upon Blasian Asian. I had low expectations as I was in Waco and when I was researching places to eat on yelp, the selection of Asian foods was slim. I ordered the Blasian Asian and I was blown away by the flavors. I tasted lemon grass and other familiar spices. It took me back to the 90's and I'm reminded of my mom's cooking. The aroma of Cambodian flavors filled our tiny kitchen along with old school Asian aesthetics of aluminum foil covering the walls and stove top. My mom loved to cook for others, and we always had family dinners on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I never told her this, but I learned how to cook by observing her. She has since passed and it's been years since I have had authentic Cambodian food. I miss up her cooking. I'm glad I gave this place a chance. Will definitely return. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for years, but we never had time for it. Now, it's moved into a food hall. I got the Combo X (2 beef and 2 pork skewers, white rice, 2 vegetable egg rolls, fresh cucumber and carrot) and Garlic Fried Rice (Pork) to try a little bit of everything. Cambodian Garlic Fried Rice is not like Japanese or Chinese fried rice. I did expect more emphasis on a fresh green beans flavor, but it wasn't there. There were a few green beans, onion, carrots, corn, peas, scrambled eggs and tender chopped pork. The tender beef skewers and pork skewers had the flavor of Cambodian skewers but again not as strongly as I expected. The white rice was not well-cooked. It tasted like the rice they were going use for the fried rice. The fresh cut cucumbers and carrots were unexpectedly not pickled. I suppose some do accompany the dish with fresh vegetables. The egg rolls were listed as just "egg rolls", but I expected the meat version. I came expecting yummy "Temple food" but got a mild take on Cambodian food and semi-cooked white rice. read more

I was surprised to find Blasian Asian in a trendy high end food court type environment. The atmosphere reminded me of a similar suite of restaurants in NY. The cashier was polite, but after I ordered I found out it would take 17 minutes to make my meal. My husband and kids were waiting in the car, so I had to tell them to park. The food actually took 20 minutes to be cooked, which is kind of ridiculous since I ordered beef skewers and rice. Not something that takes long to prepare. On top of that, the food wasn't even very hot. Taste was ok, but the portion was small for a $11 meal. Given the long wait time and the ok taste, expensive pricing, I feel like Blasin Asian doesn't deserve a lot of hype from the reviews it's gotten. read more

This place is SO GOOD! I had heard of it but never been, but at Union Hall tonight I decided to try it. After a lot of indecision about what to get (everything looks SO GOOD), I chose Combo 3, which is four chicken skewers and garlic fried rice. I got a spice level 2 (out of 0-5). It was the perfect spice level for me! The chicken tasted amazing, I wished I could never stop eating it. The rice had great taste and flavor all on its own-- normally I add soy sauce to fried rice from most places, but here there was no need. Wow! The food is big on flavors. Garlic fried rice is the best I have had in a real long time. Husband got yellow noodles which I tasted too and it was great! Medium spicy definitely had a kick. I asked for pad Thai which, according to the menu could be made vegetarian but the chef, seeing that i had asked for a vegetarian version, came to me and said that the pad Thai sauce did have some fish sauce and asked if I would be okay with mushroom sauce instead. So I got it with mushroom sauce, medium spicy and while it was delicious it was definitely spicier than the medium spiced yellow noodles. They did forget tofu on yellow noodles and peanuts on pad Thai, that's after being asked if I wanted peanuts, so they don't quite make it to five stars in my experience. They have a couple of tables under patio umbrellas where you can enjoy your meal. They call for you as and when your food comes off the griddle. I love that we drove to a little town in the middle of Nowhere, TX and we happened to find the one food truck whose owners came from Seattle. My cousins and I are from Seattle and visited Waco for Silobration and craving something Asian and found this spot on Yelp. I got the combo platter with garlic fried rice. It was delicious. I wish that I could do a 3.5 star review because 3 seems too low and four too high. Anyway, my husband and I ate here last night and overall the food was fine. I ordered the Blasian and my husband the garlic fried rice. We also got an order of pot stickers. The pot stickers were probably my favorite part of the meal - they were quite yummy. The noodles tasted good, but seemed a bit over cooked/mushy. I wasn't a huge fan of how the egg rolls tasted, but they didn't come out very freshly cooked and hot, so that was a pro. I was very skeptical about trying this place because I love Asian food. We ordered Combo 1, the Yellow Noodle and Pad Thai. My favorite was the Paid Thai and the noodles had great texture. It felt authentic (some Pad Thais look very orangey and like ketchup was added). I got a spice level of 1and it was spicier than expected but really enjoyable. The Yellow Noodle was also very good and reminded of Yakisoba. The broccoli was delicious - it was a little charbroiled and soaked up the sauce well. We got a spice level 2 and it was hot like you would need water and you'll definitely comment on the spice. Combo 1 reminded me of Vietnamese bun. Food Truck on University Parks and Franklin with other trucks, try this one. We ordered the Combination X - Grilled Beef and Pork which came with 2 egg rolls, cucumbers and carrots. Sauce was excellent with very good flavor and substance with rice. Lemon Grass Beef also had a good flavor which tied in the beef, rice and sauce. Yakisobi Noodles with Chicken was a good portion with the sauce tying the flavors together. The owners, Chevy and Mike were so nice and friendly.
