For our last dinner in Waco, we decided to try this food hall since it was within walking distance from our hotel. There were many food stalls, at least 10 to choose from. We had no issue securing a table and chairs. The dinning area and bathrooms were relatively clean. The was a parking lot. After checking out the vendors, youngest daughter and Mrs went with Blasian Asian and I with King's Chicken Wings. Union Hall is an excellent option for anyone who cannot decide where to eat.

Gelato, no spoons

I am not impressed with this place. For a chicken bowl, chips, queso, drink... 35$ WHAT? No water cups. The gelato folks had no spoons. Also, we're using the same scoop for all flavors so now the strawberry has chocolate all over it. The cookies and cream gelato was not what I was expecting. It had Chocolate sauce. Very weird. Go to George's and enjoy some good food. Don't waste your time or money here.

(4.25 stars) The OG older brother to Woodway's Union Grove, Union Hall is a bigger operation in downtown Waco. It boasts an impressive selection of vendors, including those specializing in Cajun, Cambodian, Thai, sushi, pho, Mexican, burgers, wings, pizza, juices, teas, and edible cookie dough, among others. As befits its size, Union Hall draws plenty of foot traffic though there is enough seating to go around. My wife and I split a barbacoa pupusa plate from Pupusa Paradise and a tamale bowl from Wacool Tacos & Tamales. We then followed that up with iced matchas from Zuke's Tea Bar and chocolate chip cookie dough from Cookie Dough Bliss. The pupusas were thin, crisp, and quite tasty, and the accompanying slaw was wonderfully tangy. The tamale bowl went heavy on the cheese and sauce, but the actual tamales themselves did not disappoint. The teas were refreshing though one was ordered with boba, which they forgot to include. Nothing at Union Hall was terribly expensive ($7 for the pupusa plate and under $5 for a 24 ounce matcha), and the variety makes it hard to pass up. It may not offer the best of anything, but if you want to try several different cuisines in one spot, look no further.

Union Hall has a variety of foods to appease everyone's cravings. We came to Waco for the day during Spring Break. I looked at several places for lunch and settled on Union Hall. This was perfect because my family had a variety of food to choose from. We could all get what our tummies wanted. I did a lap by myself while my husband and son went on their hunt for food. I stopped by a tea shop for a refreshing iced tea. Then I decided to go Cajun and got some Boudin Eggrolls and Gumbo. Both are very tasty and satisfying. The gumbo was packed with sausage, chicken, shrimp, and crawfish. I was full but I didn't feel miserable after. My son found a pizza place and my husband got a burger. Everywhere we ordered all the staff were nice. There are plenty of options for seating throughout the space. This is a great option for families or groups.

Chicken quesadilla from Huaco Eatery soooo fresh, flavorful, well portioned, polite staff. Would go back again.

Great spot! Come hungry and there's something for everyone. We had delicious wings w the best fries, Chinese food (chicken skewers) and the most delicious chicken quesadillas that were beautifully plated from the Mexican stop on the corner of the Union. Also want to try Jacks noddles.

Union Hall food court is now my favorite place to visit and I didn't even get to try all the options that they had available so another trip is in my near future. There is definitely something for everyone here. We tried multiple businesses and they were ALL delicious. Each spot also provides fast service and will text you when your food is ready. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating. There are plenty of spaces to sit and this is a great venue to eat with children. It is a fun and lively atmosphere. My favorites are the Cajun seafood pasta and the wings but I enjoyed everything that we ordered. I'm not sure if it's possible to just order from one place in here. I love this concept and hope to visit more of these in the near future.

Don't know where to go in Waco? Go to Union Hall! Every kind of cuisine - from burgers and TX comfort food to clean veggie bowls to ethnic cuisine, plus all kinds of sweets, smoothies, coffee and tea drinks... We ended up here on a Sunday afternoon after doing a self-guided tour of Waco. Ended up at the mini pie place and had some delicious single-serve pies. After that went and got iced bubble teas at the tea place. Everything was great, and staff were all friendly and helpful! Yes, this has a fast-food-ish or cafeteria-ish feel, but these kinds of food halls catering to a variety of tastes and cuisines are all over the US now, and we love finding them for the chance to have things that range from off-the-beaten track dishes to afternoon coffee and cake. Definitely a place to mark on your Yelp collection!

This place has an array of places to select food from. It's a good place to stop at if you're with people and passing through Waco because everyone can just get what they want. There are Mexican restaurants, a bar, a cupcake place, pizza, Mac and Cheese, açaí place and a host of other restaurants. We tried the Mac and Cheese place and it was really good. The Mac and Cheese place had the longest line on the day we went. We tried the Mexican restaurant that is diagonal from the Mac and Cheese place too. Both places were good and I would go back, but I'd most likely want to try other restaurants to see what they taste like. There are tables all over where you can sit and eat. This place is a neat concept as it's like a food court in the mall except there's no mall--it's a stand alone place.

When we saw there was a food hall while visiting Waco, we knew we had to stop in and have a look see. There is something for everyone! That being said, we each ordered from a different stand. What we got: Blasian Asian - grilled pork sandwich with pickled salad and cilantro. Make sure you get napkins, it's a messy but delicious meal. You may not want to put the sandwich down once you start eating. Tiny Pies - chicken pot pie. Pie is so pretty and has a hearty thick crust! Koko Ramen - pulled pork bowl with cucumber over rice.

Can't miss it from the outside - right in the heart of Waco

After visiting The Silos, we were super bummed Magnolia table was booked and we had to sort out our own food. I found this place on Yelp and was pumped. It's basically a food court with all different options. I started at Roni and got the grilled cheese macaroni with grilled chicken and broccoli with a mixture of ranch and hot sauce. Then I waddled over to the taco shop across the way. I didn't want more heaviness so I ordered the veggie taco that was literally overflowing with grilled veggies. As if that wasn't enough to combust, I then went over to the cookie dough place and ordered about 10 samples and finally decided on the oatmeal chocolate chip. There is a literally something for everyone. I'm actually glad we found this place because it's a total score.

That isn't to say that the offerings here were dirt cheap but rather that I didn't feel like the food hall setting was a license to jack up prices. Union Grove boasts a respectable variety of vendors for its size, and the offerings range from Cajun to Asian to pizza and wings and more. I opted for the ironically named Health Camp, the Woodway outpost of a longstanding Waco burger-and-shake joint. While the shake selections looked tempting, I limited myself to a Health Burger (cheeseburger), tots, and a drink. At the risk of drawing pitchforks, the burger was a bit underwhelming. It was a fast food style single patty, very thin, and though tasty enough when dressed (lettuce, tomato, mustard, ketchup), not really worth $7. I realize that for locals, nostalgia is a powerful lure (Greensboro's Beef-Burger had similar adherents), but if you didn't grow up with Health Camp's burgers, I'd have to believe that you could do better. To their credit, the tots were perfectly crisp and priced right. One final note: Union Grove has plenty of seating, but it can also get rather loud. There's an adjoining arcade, so expect kids running around. If the acoustics don't bother you, however, then the warehouse atmosphere can be fun.

I've been able to try a few of their dishes, like the Pad Kee Mao, and as of recently, their Pad Thai, which I had with shrimp. Every time I've had food from them I have been very impressed. There are foods that I would have been hesitant to try in the past because of unfamiliarity, but thanks to how they make everything taste, I'm eager to try everything. I really love their shrimp pad Thai. It was the best pad Thai that I've had so far! I'm not a huge dessert fan, but they have nice desserts such as the banoffee and fruit sando. If you are a banana pudding lover or a fruity dessert lover, I recommend you try that. They also have great appetizers as well!

As for my meal, I ordered the green curry with tofu and veggies. It was incredibly sweet. This is my go-to order, and I've never had one this sweet. It wasn't pleasant. It was also unclear if it was vegetarian or not (with fish sauce or not). My boyfriend got a noodle dish and really enjoyed it! I would say it's hit or miss - with the other options in the food court, I may try something different if I return!
