Great venue for everyone to have something to eat and drink!!! Sam's Bar has great craft cocktails and great bartenders. (Keenan and Kel are amazing!) Wacool Taco is awesome! Try the Korean BBQ taco!! Village Pizzaria is great New York Style pizza. Roni's Mac n cheese is to die for and Blasian Asian is great fresh Asian cuisine. There is Thai, Mexican, South American, Burgers, Wings and even a loose tea place, amongst many others. Definitely a must when in downtown Waco. read more

These food halls are popping up everywhere and while we have found it's nice to have choices, the food is always subpar. While the food is a little bland, there are 18 options on the way, plenty of seating and you leave full. read more

Fun place! Good variety of options and quick service. Great alternative for a quick bite to eat.

were in the area traveling back home along 35 and decided to give union hall a try. the variety of food and reviews by other yellers led us here. we wandered all through the very busy hall to peruse the offerings. after much debate - cause LOTS sounded good - we decided on The Blasian Asian & Roni's Mac Bar. i decided on The Blasian plate $13, 3 skewers - 1 beef, 1 pork & 1 chicken, yellow noodles & 2 spring rolls. you choose your spice level. i'm sure level fluctuates with cook, but 2 was pretty hot, a bit too hot for me. BUT, everything was tasty - noodles included. all the chicken & beef skewers were good, but pork was pretty dry & tough. all had a great flavor. spring rolls & sauces were tasty. but the WINNER! was the lobster mac! omGOODNESS it was AWESOME! they mix & cook it fresh - you choose sauce, protein & add ins. that dish was LOADED with sweet & perfectly cooked lobster! @ only $10 we were expecting the "fake" lobster or just a bit on top, but this was LOADED! very rich, very creamy, over half had to go home - couldnt finish it. side note, reheated very well. since we were being a bit indulgent, just HAD to have edible cookie dough @ Dough Re Mi. $5 single, $7 double. they had lots of yummy flavors, but we finally decided on peanut butter w/recess pieces and oatmeal chocolate chip. both were DE-licious! definitely tasted like the indulgence we were wanting. we nibbled on it as we traveled home, then a few days afterwards! read more

There is something for everyone! That is the best thing. Also, Sam's Bar was tucked in the corner where it was quiet and the drinks were tasty! The service was quick pretty much everywhere we went, which was: the Macaroni place, a Mexican restaurant in one of the corners ( starts with an H I believe), and the sandwich shop in the corner next to it. I'm not very good with names, so forgive me!!! The downside for me was that the main area had some empty spaces so it gave the affect of a run down mall food court, not upscale like the one in the DFW area I've been to. That is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Sam's has a great ghost margarita and pina colada margarita!! No one in our party of 7 has any complaints about food. We all left happy and full! read more

So basically it's like this huge dinning hall with several small businesses. They have options for everyone's pallet. (Ice cream, coffee, beer, cocktails, ramen, toasted sandwiches, etc) I got my plate from the Blazin Asian. I wanted more food from all the stands, but my eyes are always bigger than my stomach...so I held back. There's plenty of seating everywhere; there's even a second floor made for large groups or families. read more

Most of the food vendors do a great job. Pizza, posole, pho, Asian food... all really good. The Thai food is normally good, but the crew of young, smartassed guys serving cold curry and then arguing about it is not so good. read more

This place is actually pretty cool but let me justify my rating. First, parking is awful. There's paid parking across the street but how long are you staying? If you don't have cash, you can Venmo your money but that seems a bit sketchy tbh. We walked around a bit then found a place to eat. I mentioned to my friend that it was like a bunch of food trucks. Sure enough-food truck prices and food truck wait times. My friend's daughter pointed to the sign on the side of where we ate and said look false advertising! They showed a fountain drink in a clear cup but the place only had canned sodas. From the website, I thought the place would be larger and have some cute local vendor stores. But nope. Just food and drinks. It wasn't bad food. I just wouldn't go back. read more

Union hall reminds me of a very similar urban eatery in Manhattan. It's like an updated food court in your local mall. Want Mexican? No problem? Or maybe Chinese? You got it. Or how about wings? But most importantly, if you and your mate constantly struggle to agree on dinner plans, this is THE place for you! It's a constant battle in my house so it was nice to decide on one place so quickly knowing there will be something for everyone! We had Cambodian, French, and American all in one visit and we can't wait to go back! read more

Such a great idea - one roof, multitude of eateries, great vibe. Like a variety if food trucks only INDOORS. Get out of the heat and rain and head to Union Hall! Tacos? Mac n Cheese? Asian Noodles? We really enjoyed this experience and can't wait to find our new Union Hall fav meal next trip to downtown Waco, TX! read more

We recently moved to Waco area in Texas. I've been a Detroit Elite Yelper for 11 years. We went to the "Union Hall" for lunch on Saturday 2-27-21. It was our first time visiting as "locals". It was so much fun to be out & about with other people. We got to eat some amazing food! My hubby got the wrap Philly cheesesteak from the "Rock 'N Roll" vendor. It was so fresh and hot and amazingly delicious! I got a Hamburger from Whizzbang burgers!! Not only was my hamburger made fresh, hot and delectable, but it was juicy along with the yummy French fries that we got as a side. I honestly think their fries were the best I've ever had!! Everything was clean & washed in between customers. Everyone was safe and even though the weather outside was raining cats & digs; our lunch outing was a success! read more

Was great, loved the atmosphere and the ability to have options on food. Everyone we talked to was super friendly and the food tasted great.

The hotel staff recommended Union Hall as a casual eatery with lots of choices. I'd say an adult food court, I had a slice of pizza which had an fantastic crust and generous toppings. A foot long corn dog and a cup of peach cobbler. All we pretty good. I finished the trip off with an Old Fashion at Sam's Bar. If in the area and with a group who cannot agree on where to eat This a a nice choice. read more

Union Hall New venue with a large variety of indoor style food trucks. Blaisian Asian is one of our favorites, Cambodian Food at its finest. Wacool Tacos and Tamales is another eatery here, skip the tamales, but the Korean BBQ Taco is a winner. WhizzBangs Hamburgers were okay, took a long time to get the order, burger was good but did not stand out. Nice to get out of the heat and into an air conditioned clean place. Would highly recommend for a quick lunch read more

Yes I do recommend the Union hall. There were plenty of options to choose from. I also tried some boba tea for the first time and it was amazing. So, my mother and I visited this place today (4/6/22), and it was sufficiently good. We started with an order of nachos from Wacool Tacos &Tamales. These were pretty good, especially since it's in Waco Texas, a Mecca of sorts for Tex-Mex foods. The nachos themselves were delicious, a tower of corn tortilla chips, piled with all sorts of goodies. Everything from jalapeños to tomatoes were featured in every bite, alongside staples like queso blanco and cilantro. We also got a couple of water bottles and a cup of ice to split. All in all, a good experience. (Also, the lady behind the counter was super sweet to me when I accidentally left my debit card in the reader!) Next, we swung by Roni's to pick up our second course. Here, we ordered the Chicken Parmesan Mac 'n' Cheese. And, Holy Mother Of Macaroni, these garlic flavors were strong! Seriously though, these flavors blended together really well, taking into account the mellow notes of the cheese and the sharp acidity of the tomato sauce and garlic. Now, both my mother and I are sensitive to gluten, but that didn't stop either of us from digging in. Pretty good meal! For our final course, we stopped my Dough-Re-Mi to get dessert. This final establishment is a cookie dough bar that serves edible cookie dough by the scoop, like ice cream. My mother got Reece's Peanut Butter, and I got Cookies 'n' Cream. Neither of us were able to finish our sugary confections, so we got lids and took them with us on the road. Overall, the person behind the counter was very nice and the product exceeded expectations. The experience was very good, the food was fresh, and the only decision that I regret making here was eating so much gluten. Ah, ya live and ya learn, I guess. I do wish there were more gluten-friendly dessert options, but whatever, it's all good. TLDR: The whole thing was a good experience, there's plenty of options, wish there were more gluten free desserts. read more

Wings of Waco served very pink squishy undercooked wings and when I kindly asked for them to remake them, all three employees came over to look at them and proceed to tell me they were fine, refusing to remake them or give me a refund. No gluten free vegetarian options. The ONLY thing I found was a beyond meat burger on gluten free bun at the burger place. But ramen- no. Waffles - no. The waffle business told me when i asked that they have a T-shirt that says "gluten-full" as a joke because they have "all the gluten". Ok RUDE. Not inclusive for food allergies. Having a gluten allergy isn't a joke, you jerks. If we COULD eat gluten we would. Jerks. Anyways. If your a vegan... I don't know if there's a single item to eat here for you yet. read more

I usually do a pretty good job at these places with selection. Not this time. I did my usual careful walk-through two or three times. I was driving through town. Decided on this salty mess they call a poor boy piled up...Their deconstructed version I suppose.. I paid $16 for fish the frozen lettuce on a bed of fries and lettuce. I saw them take everything out of the freezer and deep fry it. Huaca was decent. Had the snapper taco. read more

Waco is on top of the fads and has a public food court. You guys who actually really should support the efforts should appreciate that Waco is winning and winning well. Not everyone can carry booze from the bar area into the eating area in their modern food court. But you can here. Enjoy it. Appreciate it. Patronize it. I've been to a lot of these around the country. Yes, there's work left to do, but that should make you feel like you're getting in on the ground floor of something very cool. Impressive, Waco. Keep it up. read more

We come to Union Hall quite often when we come through Waco. It's reminiscent of an OG mall food court but with updated selections and slightly cleaner. The Tea Bar is one of my favorite vendors and always get the coconut tea. WhizzBang's is a solid burger. And I can always count on those 2 being there along with the pizzeria but the rest tend to turn over often IMHO. Still, I always recommend it for people who can't decide on one place and also don't mind ordering at the counter. read more

Can't wait for this amazing place to fill up, especially the International Bakery and Wings of Waco. On our first visit, my daughter and I shared an over the top shake and tonight enjoyed a huge bowl of noodles at kOkO Ramen. Delicious! Love the concept. We were able to sit and eat and visit! There was a guy walking from the commissary kitchen to another food booth NOT properly carrying a chef's knife which was unsafe considering there were families with small children everywhere. So...family friendly other than the "hash slinging slasher." Bonus points if you know where this quote is from. read more
