I love chopsticks, it's one of my favorite restaurants in Waco. However I'm not much of a fan of this location. Why? Because it's not as seasoned/flavorful as the one I've had in Bellmead. I notice at this location they don't fry their sweet & sour chicken as long as the other location, and the rice has clumps and it doesn't have the seasoned flavor I'm use to tasting. I know this all depends on the cooks, but I will not be returning back to this chopsticks location. read more

I am Chinese. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Waco. They kind of have a secret Chinese menu too- but they also have all the classic American Chinese favorites like kung Lao chicken and cashew chicken stuff. My favorite thing to order is the Sichuan tofu-- made with real sichuan peppercorns and it's a pretty large portion. These people are really wonderful and the restaurant is family owned. read more

I googled "the best fried rice in Waco TX" and this place came up. I don't know what "fried rice" means in Waco but this was the absolute worst I've ever experienced. I ordered a 1 and a 2 entree meals and there was not a single thing in the order that even hinted of asian cuisine. I cannot imagine how an "Asian restaurant" can screw up fried rice, FRIED RICE people this was not even close. Will never ever order from there again. Tofu&Shrimp with steamed rice has been our all-time FAVORITE for over 10 years here at Chopsticks Wooded Acre! It's on the "secret" Chinese menu. We come here to order it at least once or twice a month. Great people. Super good taste. Recommended without any reservation. read more

I eat here regularly for lunch and I am always happy. Great prices, daily special and my "go to" meal is a large bowl of chicken soup with rice that I add sauteed mushrooms with red chiles!!! Hot and yummy. Great to eat in quiet and enjoy a good bowl of soup at a reasonable price. Highly recommend that you give them a try!! read more

Went to get meals for my wife and me to have about an hour later. When we opened the food it was wrong and half of a two entree meal was completely missing. Tried to call the restaurant to fix it but they closed early or stopped answering phones. At that point dinner was ruined completely and we had to get dinner elsewhere from a drive thru. I saved the meal(s) still in the bag they packed them in and returned it to the restaurant as soon as I was off work since they ducked out early. They said they didn't give refunds only replacements! They've messed up food several times (raw chicken, uncooked food/overcooked, etc) but to completely leave out part of way was paid for and then say you won't refund money paid for goods not received isn't even a "mistake", just bad business. Avoid this location at all costs. The owners should be ashamed of how they treat customers. read more

Chopsticks V has a lot going in its' favor, and some things which could use improvement. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is ready in a reasonable time from when you place your order. In over two years, I have never been disappointed in the quality or quantity of the food. This is by far the least expensive Chinese take out in all of Wacko. On the flip side, while all the food is tasty, all the dishes begin to taste the same if you eat there frequently. The food is delicious, but the dishes lack individuality in flavor. The spring roll, which is free with combo plates, is the only thing on their entire menu that I could live without. All told, you get a lot of bang for your buck. read more

I have eaten at the Wooded Acres Dr. location for Chopstix many times. The employees are always friendly and food is always ready on time. November 28, 2020 was different. I picked up my food shortly after 8 PM. I ordered several things, and they were great as always. The entree was just not good. The brown sauce had no flavor, was thin, and the imitation crab meat seemed to be on the verge of "going bad," so I did not eat it. I was really surprised by this. This was a carryout order. Don't know if I will be back as I no longer know what I will get. Previously it was so nice to eat here as the food was consistently good. read more

Of the few times we've been there so far, we've been very satisfied. My boyfriend has been to other Chopsticks fast food/restaurant locations and been just as happy with it. As for this location - The staff has always been friendly, the wait for the food isn't too bad, and it's always hot and fresh and not overly cooked (the chicken and beef have been tender every time we've been), even when we have to drive 5-10 minutes to get home as we often stop here after running errands. We also love their style of fried rice and the free little spring roll with each meal is a nice touch. Unlike how a proper restaurant would give a full container of each dish (i.e beef w/ broccoli or sesame chicken), you get a container that you can get from 1-3 different entrees in plus the fried rice. Don't knock it though, they're pretty good piles of whichever dishes you pick to go into it and we always feel full after eating our helpings (sometimes we have leftovers). It's very affordable and the cost:amount of food is more than fair. So when you want a quick, affordable Chinese food fix, I'd say definitely give them a try.
