After being placed on hold for quite awhile, they found my referral and said that I needed to be assigned to a provider and will be called back in 24 hours to schedule appointment. No call back, so I called to follow up today 9/11 and was told they couldn't find my referral again. Gave my info then the receptionist rudely asked if I had seen pain management before, which I replied, yes for my back. She said I need to submit my records for any pain management because the doctor needs to review and approve me before I can get an appointment. I said they need this even though it's for another part of my body? She said it doesn't matter, they need to see everything. At this point, I was so frustrated because she never confirmed she found my approval and added a new hoop to jump through to see if I will even be "approved" to get an appointment for a consultation. This is absolutely ridiculous and I just said thank you and hung up. Good luck getting past the front office to even get a consultation!

When I started having pain spread to my upper back/scapula/shoulder it was strongly suggested to go see Dr. Lee. I am so glad I did- best decision I've made for my health. Here is a short list of the many qualities I respect of Dr. Lee: - Respect people, healthy or ill, regardless of who they are - Support patients and their loved ones - Promote health as well as treat disease - Excellent communicator and answers questions clearly and completely - Respects patients' individual values and preferences - Always opens to questions, let people talk, and listens to them carefully -Give unbiased advice - Let people participate actively in all decisions related to their healthcare -Work cooperatively with other members of the healthcare team I'm grateful Dr. Lee and his amazing nurse- Tristian. They have compassionately helped me navigate through all getting answers to my health concerns. I feel a plan is in place and truly feel listened to and supported. Tristian and Dr. Lee are like a superhero duo and I feel they know me more than any other doctor I have ever had. Dr. Lee looks at my health as a 'whole' and suggests other specialists when necessary. Thank you for being a wonderful Doctor! Kelly

I have never written a negative yelp review. But I felt I had to share this…read more This doctor has severe anger issues. He's rude, impatient and overall very unpleasant. I went in hoping to find a good injection doc for chronic back and neck pain and left in tears after 4 visits. During the last visit, he burst into the exam room and said " so you didn't finish your meds, huh?" I told him I had to stop steroids on day 5 because I had a bad reaction. I continued to ask him questions and explain how my pain had predictably come back. He then spent the rest of the visit yelling at me and interrupting every sentence. I barely got to finish any sentence I began. He said he had already explained that I didn't have pinched nerves ( which conflicted with my MRI report) I broke down in tears, but that didn't stop the yelling. He just started talking directly to my husband. My husband was shocked at his behavior. He did give me injection options and sent us home with literature - but honestly I never want to be in the same room as this man again My husband and I have no clue what I did to set him off. All I can say is - If you're in pain and feeling vulnerable - stay away!

After 7 years, I can honestly say Dr. Nini is still Dr. Nini -- one of the best pain management…read moredoctors out there. What surprised me even more this time was how much better the office experience has become. His front staff and back staff are easily 200% better than my first visit years ago. Everyone was professional, friendly, organized, and actually cared about helping patients. Last month, I went to another pain management doctor because Yelp made it seem like Dr. Nini's office was only in Fullerton and not Los Angeles. That doctor refused to even try trigger point injections and immediately pushed me toward an epidural. I didn't really want one, but I was desperate for relief at the time, so I went through with it. The very first thing Dr. Nini said when he examined me was that he wanted to try trigger point injections first before considering any epidural treatment. That instantly told me he was actually listening to my concerns instead of rushing me into procedures. I received the trigger point injections today and already feel hopeful again. Awesome pain management doctor, excellent staff, and still someone who genuinely tries to help his patients instead of taking the "one size fits all" approach. Highly recommended. Next week, he referred me to get nerve conduction studies to rule out a pinched nerve. Hands down BEST PM Doctor in LA!!!

I came to Longevity Performance Institute after dealing with persistent back pain that was keeping…read moreme from moving, exercising, and working out the way I wanted to. I'm a Kaiser patient, and unfortunately my experience with Kaiser physical therapy did very little to improve the problem. I eventually went to another outside physical therapist who helped quite a bit more, but I still felt like I had plateaued and couldn't get myself back beyond about 90%. I found Longevity through Instagram and decided to take a chance. I generally hate going out of network because I'm already paying for health insurance and the additional cost can be hard to justify, but in this case I'm extremely glad I did. Gary specifically was a perfect fit for me. He was attentive, thorough, knowledgeable, and actually took the time to understand what was going on rather than just running me through a generic set of exercises. The experience was night and day compared with both Kaiser and the other physical therapy I had tried. Over time, Gary developed a program that got me back to well over 90%, but more importantly, got me moving, exercising, and working out again--which was exactly what I wanted from physical therapy. I also felt like I understood my back better and had a plan for continuing to improve rather than simply hoping the pain would go away. Their new Orange location is great too. The facility is really nice and the entire experience has been excellent. I almost wish I had more back problems so I could keep getting treated there. Almost :) I would absolutely recommend Longevity, and Gary in particular, to anyone who has gone through traditional physical therapy and feels like they've plateaued or aren't getting the individualized attention they need.

Dr. Gary resolved a nagging hip pain I've had on and off for years due to overuse. I've seen PT's in the past and they've all said the same things: "stretch your hip, work it out a little more, etc." and none of them every found the root cause. From the first session, I could tell Dr. Gary was different. He looked at my issue holistically and focused on the bad ankle on the same side as my bad hip. After that first session, I haven't had hip pain and for the remaining sessions we were able to focus on ankle mobility to resolve other issues related to it. I can finally enjoy playing basketball without any pain again! Thanks Dr. Gary!
