Sunny Hills Chiropractic Center is located off Harbor Blvd, in the same shopping center as the Ralphs Market, literally next door to Chase bank, inside a 2 story office complex. About 15 years ago, I used to go to a chiropractor to get adjusted. For some reason I stopped going, and fast forward to 2020, and I hit 50 year old. I felt like I am falling apart and start getting lower back pain, and bones that used to not crick are now cricking and cracking. My insurance changed (for the better!) and offered chiropractic benefits in their new alternative medicine package. Dr. Miller was on the list, so I called and got an appointment for a Thursday afternoon. During the Covid19 time, appointments are required, as well as masks. The staff sanitizes the pen you use to sign in, and limits the number of people in the office. After filling out my paperwork, and signing my life away I met with Dr. Miller who had me do some tests, from a posture test, a stretching test, etc to see my mobility and capability of my body. After accessing my range of motion, she asked for my permission to do a few adjustments. It was just like I remembered... as soon as she gave me a few clicks, I felt relief. Fact is: my body needed to get realigned... like a car. I have poor posture (my fault for being a slouch) so over the years my body adapted to my laziness. She told me what I should expect 24-48 hours after the appointment (ie: soreness, etc.) and what to do. Before the appointment I had issues going to bed. Even after 1 appointment, I felt much better as I retired for the night. I'm very pleased with my initial appointment, and look forward in my next one coming up in a week as she slowly tweeks me back to getting realigned. read more

My close friend had recommended Dr. Chan to me after hearing about my chronic neck and shoulder pain after having 2 kids back to back. My pain started gradually about 2 months ago and it never went away...despite how much I was stretching it and massaging it. I was very hesitant to go to a chiropractor cuz I heard a lot of horror stories from other people that's gone. If you go to a bad one, it can make your condition even worse! My friend had gone to several other chiropractors in the past and she said none of them showed good results...but Dr. Chan definitely knows what she's doing. I finally decided to take her advise and booked an appointment with Dr. Chan cuz my neck and shoulders were hurting so much I really couldn't tolerate it any longer. My husband came with me since he's gone to one years ago after a car accident, but said it didn't do anything for him and a waste of time...so he was even MORE skeptical than I was. I think I was just more scared of someone cracking my spine and paralyzing me or something..lol Dr. Chan was very gentle and put me right at ease. I've gone about 3 times so far already and after the initial visit, the tightness I felt was already like 90% gone! I still feel some pain here and there, but not to the point where I was constantly rubbing and pushing my neck trying to relieve it. My husband was so impressed by the results because he had actually felt the knot in my shoulder and after she "cracked" me..he felt it while I was still laying on the chair and it was totally soft and gone. I've been struggling with lower back pain and a piriformis injury for about 2 months. I've seen 4 chiropractor; 1 family medicine doctor, 1 er doctor, 1 pain management doctor, physical therapist and acupuncturist. I'm sure everyone contributed something but I wish I found Dr. Miller from the beginning. Hands down, she was the most personable and thorough chiropractor I've seen up to this point. Started off with an exam where she had me do a few things and after observing my walking and muscle tone, she was able to diagnose and troubleshoot my problems right away. Disc/pinched nerve...piriformis/glute injury, right sided lower back pain. After seeing my problem, she carefully explained what was causing those problems and how she was going to fix it. Went through several gentle adjustments including my hips and lumbar region. After just 2 treatments, I've actually gotten my first full night of sleep without waking up in pain. Trust me guys. Some chiropractors just throw you on the table and just crack away. Her style of adjustment was very unique and carefully targeted. She knew exactly what she needed to do and how to get things aligned so I would be out of pain. Dr. miller knows what she's doing and she's fantastic at what she does. She's also very approachable and will take her time to make sure you're treated properly. My wife and I are both patients of hers. I had a great experience with Drs Miller and Chan. I made an appt in total desperation the week of a marathon I was running. I had been struggling with hip pain for several weeks and was unsure if I would be able to complete the race. I went to see Dr. Miller about eight months ago (04/14) after developing some numbness in my right hand and foot: idiopathic neuropathy was the official diagnosis from my MD. Although that was my initial complaint, she helped me tease out several other skeletal issues that were contributing to my problems. She spent time troubleshooting my problems, providing adjustments, using active release techniques, massage, and coaching me in my efforts toward improving postural habits, and using trigger point self-therapy to solve my numbness problems. "Rome wasn't unbuilt in a day," and I still have some numbness, but Dr. Miller has helped me eliminate other contributing problems such as a forward pelvic tilt and tight neck muscles (scalenes). Meghan's professionalism, compassionate manner, and wide range of treatment options has helped me gain confidence and control over my on-going journey toward improved health.
