Their prices were reasonable, which was great, but the best thing was the movers themselves. We hired Made Movers initially because we thought we needed a special company to hoist our furniture over the balcony until Joseph & his brother & awesome, respectful crew educated us that the previous movers ( Two Men & A Truck) of a few days prior that just had done the main move had not even attempted to bring the furniture that they claimed couldn't fit through the stairwell into the new place. We are so sorry we didn't know about Made Movers before hiring the worst moving company as well as most Dishonest company of Two Men & a Truck. Not only did Two Men & a truck damage furniture but prolonged the move, claimed exhaustion of a simple 2 bedroom 1 bath ground floor apartment to another apartment that was less than 20 miles away & charged for nearly 13 hours of a move. They left 4 vital pieces of furniture in the garage for us to cry about is what one of the movers said when he suggested a more advanced moving company that specializes in hoisting. I spoke with Joseph numerous times & mostly after business hours because that is the only time we were available to talk. Joeseph was not only kind & professional, but he did not rush us to get off the phone. We told him the horrific situation that had just happened & also having much empathy & compassion for my medical situation that has been ongoing & preparing for yet another surgery. Two men & a truck is denying everything & they represent that despicable, dishonorable " used car- like salesman " persona that everyone despises. I only wish that we could rewind the clock so we could have had Made Movers do our entire move. The came to our new place & got everything up the stairs that Two Men & a truck claimed they couldn't do. They only hoisted 1 piece over the balcony to ensure that no further damage was done to our new walls as the Two Men & Truck had done. First time using their service - Joseph was easy to work with and communicated well. After a frantic search for movers at the last minute, I was able to secure an end-of-the-month-weekend reservation with Made Movers. My initial contact with Joseph over the phone to secure the appointment was confirmed with an email communication. There is no question moving has to be one of the most stressful experiences ever. Made movers really help make almost all the stress just go away. First...they showed up ten minutes early. Each of the three movers Armando, Fernando, and Joseph were polite, smart, and hard working. Not once did they sit around looking at their cel phones. They were constantly packing stuff up, or moving heavy furniture gently into the truck. Talk about problem solvers. Another moving company moved me into my place and had to take the door off and the legs of my sofa off just to get it into the place. Absolutely the best movers we've ever used. We actually used them two years in a row as we apartment-hopped around Northern Virginia. They are on time, handle the furniture great, work quickly, and Joseph is an amazing u-haul packer.
