I purchased multiple items from Macy's online for Christmas. One item came in completely wrong. I decided to go to the location in the Victoria gardens mall. I was so frustrated because i went directly to the returns counter and the lady sent me directly to rhe jewelry section whivh they have multiple counters for jewelry. People customers coughing The young lady Returned the watch and asked me to go online and find the product item number myself and of course i was over it. I gave her my order number and still felt like that was too many hoops. When the exchange department should've just done it. I will not purchase from macys ever again. read more

Talk about being belittled. I came out to buy my friend a purse for Xmas but the whole experience was completely ruined by Audrey at the cash register. I asked if she can pull out a wallet from a locked cabinet or if she was going to have to call someone. She yelled at me and told me to wait in line like everyone else and made a big scene... She truly went above and beyond and ran around trying to find us what we needed and gave much needed advice on picking clothing items for a special occasion all while having a great attitude while others stopped her to ask questions. I purchased a warranty plan for an expensive leather couch. In less than three years the couch has sagging cushions and lacks support. When I contacted the warranty or insurance company endorsed by Macy they failed to honor the repair stating normal wear and tear. How does a $5k couch break down in less than three years. Yesterday I experienced a positive at Victoria Garden Macy. I was browsing for shoes but nothing but nothing special on the floor.. no one approached asking if I needed anything sooo guess that's just how things are now.. I passed store section called "Backstage" I guess it's a kinda clearance section for clothing, shoes, handbags, household and beauty items. I browsed & found some nice items. However, checking out is a Maze of rows to get to checkout desk. A young man named Julien was stationed at the end check out. From the outside there was a gate marked exit. I was not feeling the maze and was limping a bit, with items in hand, trying to see how to get into the Maze to check out. There weren't other customers, & Juliene spots me, calls me over and let's me in thru the exit gate check out. He was friendly, & I did not have my Macy card available. He offered to look up my info so that I could still receive my points for purchases without using my card.. who knew you could do thatJuliene was personable and went extra to ensure I checked out comfortably w/o hassle. I made sure he knew I was happy with his customer service ethic. Upon exiting, Juliene's mgrs were observing from a distance, Brenda and Anna. They approached me about my service experience, I related my experience with Julien but didnt realize they were the mgrs at the time. I shared my service & they revealed they were mgrs. They seemed pleased to hear about my experience w/Juliene and said they would make sure he would be noted for it. They too were very approachable as & mgrs seemed genuinely concerned about the experience also noting it was important that Juliene knows his affect on the customer was well received and much appreciated.. I drive to Victoria Gardens Macy though I don't live in the immediate area. I usually have a good customer service experience when purchasing. Post Pandemic, there has been a change in attitude towards services received and expectation of services received and not all Good. I was pleased to see the professionalism with the employee and the care/ of the supervising mgrs for the customer experience and for the employee..Good job folks for recognizing things need to change to keep customers coming back.. read more

My shopping experience was nothing short of special. Not memorable at all. Lots of busy employees walking around the department store, some hanging up clothes or walking in and out of side doors, back doors and front doors. Everyone seemed as if they had somewhere to be and had no time to stop and ask if you needed any help. I received lots of fast smiles but no assistance. I needed a pair of dress slacks, all the racks just seemed unorganized. Took me awhile to locate slacks that fit. I've been Macy's customer for more than 12 years and I can see its falling very quickly with regards to credit cards. Their credit card payment website sucks on desktop, mobile and via phone. It wasn't like this before but looks like Macy's is cutting down its cost on maintaining its software. It doesn't let me pay in any way except for visiting the store physically and paying through agents at the store. Due to this I've missed 2 payments already, which is ridiculous!!! Stopped by today, on a Friday during rush hour and during the holiday shopping season with my wife. We, of course, went to the women's Macy's :) Macy's has men, and women's segregated within the Victoria Gardens shopping center (go figure). Anyhow, we for once go shopping for something specific, she wanted some Michael Kors shoes, so we went in for the kill and had requested various styles, and I was impressed with the staffs interest to come back and forth with MULTIPLE styles quickly (from helping us with displays to going back into the warehouse racks for the right sizes) everything was handled so professional, and very prompt. Multiple staff members were assisting, and all are performing equally the same with TONS AND TONS of holiday shoppers. The other neat thing is, they grab your name, and work with you using your name and also hand select styles and print a paper with your name as the customer, and where they got the product from (bin/section) etc. from the back allowing them to quickly return the item to stock should you wish to decline the product after fitment. Nonetheless, impressive customer service from assisting with the desired styles all the way to the cashier. Quick, painless and easy. read more

I went into the women's fragrance department and had one of the best experience with two of the associates at the counter. Vinnie the Sales associate went above and beyond to make sure I know all the details of what would be my best option. Not only did he know his product, he made sure to inform me of any deals that I could take advantage of. This is great customer service and what makes a huge difference to the consumer. As he finalized my transaction and had to grab something from the stock room, I had Katherine Banks, the RSS jump in to finish my transaction. I truly appreciate and believe you should always recognize great CUSTOMER SERVICE when you experience it. Located at Victoria Garden's, this has to be one of the nicest Macy's I have ever been to. This particular Macy's is unique in which it only sells items for women. There is another Macy's location here (not too far of a walk) that sells items for men, children and for the home. On the 2nd floor, you will find a large selection of dresses. These dresses are for evening wear, bridesmaids, wedding wear, mother of the bride/ groom, and prom style dresses. Some years back when I got married and when my brother got married (separate years), my poor mom had trouble finding the right dress for that special day both times (I like to think my wedding was better because I got married first, j/k). If only I knew about this Macy's location with it's large selection of dresses, I would have brought her here (surprisingly the Macy's locations closer to our home did not have much of a selection and my brother's mother in law also had trouble finding a dress for the wedding too, at that time. They both also did not find much at the Nordstrom store locations either). In this Macy's store, I was also surprised to see all of the other brands that they carry, as I don't generally see these brands at the other Macy's locations. These brands include Coach (handbags are on the 1st floor), Dior (fragrance, also on the 1st floor), Vince Camuto and Tahari. Not that I am a big fan of Macy's, but I would shop here with my mom and probably would find things that I like here. And if I come here with my husband, he can help carry the bags :) because that is what husbands are for, lol (male Yelpers, please don't send me hate messages). read more

I went to Macy's at Victoria Gardens Today. Customer Service was the worst. I went To a register in The ladies department and waited15 min. While she helped one person at the check out. The line never moved. The cashier kept telling the woman the items were not in stock. You would think the cashier would see the line of people waiting. I finally left to another register. I didn't wait to long there. I was just discouraged at my experience there today and will probably not go back. I had coupons too and were told none of them could be used. What a waste of time here. The Chanel's make up and creams area within Macy's is whom I'm making my post about. I went in for Mother's Day to purchase some cream. I don't know too much about it, so I go in to get some help. Obviously it's Mother's Day and it's crazy busy. One person is attending a couple people, and I'm even waiting along side another gentleman. The lady comes up to us and offers us help, but I advised I came in after the gentleman next to me. At that moment three other employees come by, and two are women and one male. The two women right away straight to work assisting customers, and the guy decides to start gossiping with the female co workers opening boxes. He also keeps looking at his phone walks away and comes back not doing a damn thing besides waisting time. The only one who was available to help which was the male employee decides to go dick around instead of helping customers even sees me standing there waiting. Couldn't resist after discovering they had my slim and tall size Levi 501's. No one ever carries 33-34 waist and 36 length! Together with a couple new shirts and I left very happy! My daughter and I went to this Macy's in Rancho Cucamonga today to see and try Sam Edelman sneakers. We grabbed the styles that I have been looking for. This store is not organized at all. I haven't been shopping in person because I am dreading the idea of having bad service. So guess what? I just did get that. I know they have a line if you wish to request for your size. Unfortunately, this store is not well organized. There were 2 lines that I noticed and I cannot see which line is which so I asked this white old guy aat the register and asked politely. This moron was very condescending and arrogant answered me "the line is where it says for size request"! Then he and that customer he was assisting chuckle. How rude and very disrespectful. So finally me and my daughter was finally assisted by a younger woman. Right after that I asked her that I wanted to speak to her manager. So I told the manager about my issue. She was very apologetic and told me that she will talk to him. Now I don't know much of said is sincere or not. I know the young lady that took my size was indeed apologetic for that white guy's behavior. My daughter was very upset. So this is how this Macy's store is. So then added to this poor service I never heard that my name called when the shoes was available. We have been waiting so I approached this other older hispanic woman at the register and asked how long does it take to get my shoes. She asked for my name and sure the shoes were sitting behind their counter and she claimed that the white guy called my name and that they called my name multiple times which I know was a lie because we're not far from the area. I told her any of you really called my name i could have already tried the shoes and be out the door. So this is adding insult to injury. I also heard this black woman saying Geez. I basically never leave a review, but after what happened to us recently I had to at least warn other people. So my family got a watch as a Christmas gift from here which was on sale from around 120 to 80. We had to take some links out because it was too big so we brought it back to the store. My sister gave them the watch to tighten and had to leave due to a family emergency. The next day when she went back to pick it up, they said they didn't have it. We talked to the manager, supervisor, everyone we could talk to. They said they couldn't do anything about it and in order for them to see which employee stole it we needed to file a police report or just buy a new one. In my opinion I thought this was outrageous as one of their employees stole the watch and they did not want to help us out in any way. read more

I would like to commend Crystal at the Mac counter. I arrived during a busy period and I was looking for a new foundation and lip gloss for my wedding. In the meantime, her partner went on lunch. Crystal applied different foundations while simultaneously assisted other customers. Crystal was always courteous, helpful and knowledgeable Although clients piled up she patiently and expertly managed all of us. I left with a bag of goodies and was very pleased with my purchases. Highly disappointed with Macy's Fine Rug Gallery Deptartment. They sold me a "warranty" on my rug and 7 months later the rug begins to fray. The Fine Rug Gallery states the rug is not under warranty stating the rug can't handle vacuuming with a high power vacuum. ( Dyson or Shark - neither of which I own). The sales person at Macy's said the rug would be covered under wear and tear, no questions asked...not true. I over paid when I purchases a faulty warranty and now stuck with a poor quality specialty rug that's falling apart. Never again Macy's! My dogs will most likely end up with the rug. read more

I recently purchased some clothes online for Christmas gifts and requested for the store pick up. After get two email reminders to pick up the items, I headed to the Victoria Gardens Macy's - men's side. This part was a bit confusing, but after stopping and speaking with a associate of the store outside in the parking lot, I was able to make sense of where I should be going. Once inside, the pick up was smooth and easy. The store was clean, bright, and the sales associate was very helpful. She offered my gift boxes and wished me a happy holiday. Terrible customer service at this store from Maria the manager and several of her associates. I used to buy makeup, high end, perfume, clothes, watches, jewelery and handbags here but I will not be returning. After dropping 250 on a handbag a few months ago, it ripped, I was questioned repeatedly and made to feel like I had stolen something. These handbags are under lock and key by the way..i was in no way asking for a refund I was only looking for an exchange of a faulty product. I didn't want money I wanted a usable leather bag. In fact my intention was to invest in a pricier bag, thus giving them a bigger sale and more of my money. The first girl I spoke to Kelly was the sweetest, her coworkers kept trying to interrupt her as she attempted to assist me, they seemed determined to make sure I wasn't offered a reimbursement, , after that it went downhill i was questioned by sales associates who were not management and had no ability to decide if I would receive my replacement bag..in the end I was told I would only receive 111 of my money back and that I would have to wait for it to be mailed. They refused to allow me to have credit towards a replacement bag. One associate Marla i think, said you will have to show us your ID, if you want money back..so here's my ID, , am I a common criminal? Why try to get me to back down, I gave her my ID and she gave me rude looks and a big sigh back. In this past year I have spent thousands at Macys, 5 pairs of Calvin Klein slacks, Dior perfume, Anne Klein watch, skirts, fancy sheets, some diamond earrings, sterling silver necklaces the works in me, they have lost a good customer. After spending a half hour there I left without a handbag, without my money and with an extremely poor taste in my mouth... found a 399 handbag elsewhere and I guess I will be waiting on my refund.
