Highly disappointed with Macy's Fine Rug Gallery Deptartment. They sold me a "warranty" on my rug and 7 months later the rug begins to fray. The Fine Rug Gallery states the rug is not under warranty stating the rug can't handle vacuuming with a high power vacuum. ( Dyson or Shark - neither of which I own). The sales person at Macy's said the rug would be covered under wear and tear, no questions asked...not true. I over paid when I purchases a faulty warranty and now stuck with a poor quality specialty rug that's falling apart. Never again Macy's! My dogs will most likely end up with the rug. read more

I love shopping online and picking up in store because you are in & out very fast and it's very convenient since I have 2 little ones anyways, I arrived in store and I entered the online pick up line, there was only 2 associates behind the counter, 1 young lady acknowledged me right away and said she would be right with me, after 5-6 returns I become impatient and when one of the associates was done I said excuse me I been waiting she quickly responded that i had to wait in the order that I arrived?? What ??? Then why have 2 lines right, 1 customer service line and the online pick up if you won't be helped until the 10th return and so on, Immediately right after the young lady that had acknowledged me in the beginning told the associate that i was nxt, by the way she was on the side on the phone looking up for a customer item, Just make one line if that's going to be the case like Montclair Macy's, and you won't have any angry customers, that is one of the main reasons why i do online pick up in store to be in & out fast, other stores that have the pick up In store option are very fast as well, what's going on with this location?? I recently purchased some clothes online for Christmas gifts and requested for the store pick up. After get two email reminders to pick up the items, I headed to the Victoria Gardens Macy's - men's side. This part was a bit confusing, but after stopping and speaking with a associate of the store outside in the parking lot, I was able to make sense of where I should be going. Once inside, the pick up was smooth and easy. The store was clean, bright, and the sales associate was very helpful. She offered my gift boxes and wished me a happy holiday. Terrible customer service at this store from Maria the manager and several of her associates. I used to buy makeup, high end, perfume, clothes, watches, jewelery and handbags here but I will not be returning. After dropping 250 on a handbag a few months ago, it ripped, I was questioned repeatedly and made to feel like I had stolen something. These handbags are under lock and key by the way..i was in no way asking for a refund I was only looking for an exchange of a faulty product. I didn't want money I wanted a usable leather bag. In fact my intention was to invest in a pricier bag, thus giving them a bigger sale and more of my money. The first girl I spoke to Kelly was the sweetest, her coworkers kept trying to interrupt her as she attempted to assist me, they seemed determined to make sure I wasn't offered a reimbursement, , after that it went downhill i was questioned by sales associates who were not management and had no ability to decide if I would receive my replacement bag..in the end I was told I would only receive 111 of my money back and that I would have to wait for it to be mailed. They refused to allow me to have credit towards a replacement bag. One associate Marla i think, said you will have to show us your ID, if you want money back..so here's my ID, , am I a common criminal? Why try to get me to back down, I gave her my ID and she gave me rude looks and a big sigh back. In this past year I have spent thousands at Macys, 5 pairs of Calvin Klein slacks, Dior perfume, Anne Klein watch, skirts, fancy sheets, some diamond earrings, sterling silver necklaces the works in me, they have lost a good customer. After spending a half hour there I left without a handbag, without my money and with an extremely poor taste in my mouth... found a 399 handbag elsewhere and I guess I will be waiting on my refund. I contacted customer service. They reissued the order, once again I only received a makeup brush. This has happened 3 times. I would like to commend Crystal at the Mac counter. I arrived during a busy period and I was looking for a new foundation and lip gloss for my wedding. In the meantime, her partner went on lunch. Crystal applied different foundations while simultaneously assisted other customers. Crystal was always courteous, helpful and knowledgeable Although clients piled up she patiently and expertly managed all of us. I left with a bag of goodies and was very pleased with my purchases. I came here a few months back very (VERY) shortly before closing because I needed a Tie and Tie clip as a last minute pick up for a gift and I knew Macy's would carry the best selection of Michael Kors Ties. I went in on a mission to grab what I needed and get the hell out! I found the perfect tie grabbed the matching tie clip and sprinted towards the register like I was racing for my life. The woman working the register was so kind and didn't make me feel rushed at all! In fact she completely made my experience an incredible one! She asked me if it was for a gift and when I told her yes she gave me an additional discount and she went under the register and pulled out a beautiful Macy's tie gift box and wrapped up my Tie and Tie Clip in perfect little boxes so I didn't have to do anything but present him with the gifts! This was so unexpected especially being so late and close to closing that I was beyond impressed and extremely grateful! Just walked out of the women's department pickup customer service desk and was "assisted" by AMY! Worst service ever at a department store of such calibre. AMY! had been assisting an elderly lady prior to myself whom was making a payment and was so rude to her since the lady lacked the English language, Amy had no intent of speaking slower or at least try to help her. Here comes my turn. I say "Good morning, I'm here to pick up" NO GREETING FROM HER WHAT SO EVER, NO SMILE, ZERO EASE TO APPROACH! I hold my phone for her to scan the barcode and completely IGNORES ME! At this point I'm upset-her body language was not pleasant and neither where her face gestures. I Put my phone down since clearly I was ignored. She's then ready to scan it-doesn't say"I'm ready to scan" doesn't say a word to me, I finally look up and show her the phone again. I purchased J.A. Henckle knives online and opted for in store pick up. My husband went inside the store to get them but they denied him because he was not an authorized user, NBD. I went inside picked them up and got back in the truck. My mistake. We started to drive home when I turned on the light and checked my new knives in excitement to notice a box that was severely damaged with knives all out of their packing. My review is on Liz at the Lancôme counter ... I came in on February 05 at 6:pm-ish to buy my foundation... Liz shared with me that the gift with purchase starts the following day. She recommended I pre-purchase it and come back the next day. Well I don't live too close to this particular Macy's and I really needed my makeup for the next day ... she gave me a sample to last until I could come back. I was so surprised how long the little sample was lasting! Liz texted me to remind me to pickup my makeup and gift with purchase ... I finally went to pick it up, got it home to find I received a purple bag ... purple I would of never have chosen purple! I was so disappointed. I texted Liz and shared with her I chose black. She informs me black wasn't an option it was purple or red. Oops my mistake. Recently went through the nightmare of trying to return some unworn suits to Macy's. I was returning six items grouped by differing online orders, but the clerk immediately mixes all the items, proceeds to scan a vest I was returning, and then tries to give us money for some pants she didn't scan while refusing to return the cash for the vest, which couldn't be returned because she had already scanned it. Wasted over an hour at the establishment because of the mistake of the employee. Didn't get any better when her voice became almost condescending at one point, as if we were wasting her time rather than the other way around. Had to call a manager who finally fixed the employee's mistake. read more

Macys is a go to for last minute crap when I can't find it elsewhere. Unfortunately, this macys needs to fix some things. First, Adrienne in footwear was a major turn off. I asked if I could purchase my clothing items at her register since she had no customers, was just pricing shoes and I didn't feel it necessary to walk all the way back to the clothing department when I just had 2 items. She begrudgingly said yeah, sure...rung me up without saying another word. Told me my total, told me to swipe my card, she asked me for the last 4 numbers on the card, told me to enter my pin and press ok for the total. I don't think she ever looked me in the eye one time! At the end, she shoved the bag my way....I said thank you and she said welcome. Wth? Isn't she supposed to thank me for my business? I just spent an overspending amount of 200$ and you can even tell me to have a good day?!? Ugh. She was horrible. Next, the chaos of the 1st floor is horrible. Things just slung everywhere. There is no wondering why Macy's is losing business, you go into the woman's dept and it is a mess you don't even want to be in the store. They have a last chance section that is so out of order and crammed on the racks you cannot even move them to look. There is no organization sizes all mixed pants dresses and everything else all mixed up. I believe this could be lack of employees, lack of management and so on which means the people at the top don't care, probably don't even go into their stores. I keep trying to give Macy's another chance, I live so close and have only purchased one item in a year. I went in a few days ago to purchase some new cosmetics. As I walked through the cosmetic counters I was never greeted or asked if I needed any assistance. There were so many employees all in groups talking. I waited by several makeup counters and was never approached. I left and went back an hour later and still was never asked if I needed anything. I then went to look at the purses and the same thing. I've had problems in the purses getting help a lot. So I decided they don't need my business and went to ulta and the coach store in Ontario mills mall. I was greeted and helped with what I needed. I came in looking for a blue suit. I picked out some clothes and checked in with Jasmine before trying them on. She was the most knowledgeable and helpful person I've ever dealt with in a store. She was very honest. My first jacket was ill fitting and she told me exactly why. She educated me on how a suit should fit and what my measurements were. Not only that, she went above and beyond to find what would fit me best, relying specifically on her knowledge of specific brands and how they differ in fit. She literally balanced her time so well between me and other customers. I ended up leaving with an amazing suit and even more important, the skills to determine a great fitting suit thanks to Jasmine. She is amazing. Helena took over at the counter as Jasmine had to go to lunch but she was very sweet and helpful. Both Helena and Jasmine make me want to come back to this store more often. The suit I bought was a little more expensive than I anticipated spending, but honestly felt so confident with Jasmine's expertise on how it fit that I couldn't walk out without it. He said i was supposed to walk with the shoes inside the store to make sure i felt comfortable before buying them but by walking 2 minutes when we try them on, we can't tell if the shoes are comfortable until we are on it for more than 30'! How do i know if I don't actually wear them? Only wore it for 2 hours indoor with no damage and they didn't let me return them! The Macys Men's section was very clean, and organized. I like the fact that there is a Starbucks inside the Mens Macys. There are a lot of selections for different styles in a man's wardrobe. They have a really good surf selection such as billabong, O'Neil, Rvca, Quicksilver etc. read more
