NO MILITARY DISCOUNT! I came here today shopping with my best friend, looking at a few of the beauty products by Anastasia. We were here maybe 10-15min. And got annoyed at the fact that two specific women approached us multiple times trying to talk us into products. One has blonde curly hair, African American & the other Rebekah. I know what products I'm here for, if I had a question I would have brought it up the first or second time I was approached. Also, when asked at the register if they had a military discount- Rebekah seamed baffled by the question and we had to ask her to make it a point to find out instead of simply asking a manager. So they informed us they don't which is weird because the Macy's at valley fair does so why don't they? Anyway, both of them were rude by the time we left their department. We went to a different department and asked because we had a bad feeling, so a different women in the Jewelry department said yes they do give military discounts. However that they need proper documentation and the ID isn't good enough proof. So we went looking for a manager, because obviously how does that work if a military ID does not authorize military discounts? Are you guys insane? So we had Arien from the men's department call the manager Gladys, who both, highly lack customer service. Arien continued to cut us off before calling her manager and Gladys (regarding their phone conversation) didn't want to come down and speak with us. So now the manager tells us that they do not offer military discount even with the paperwork. She didn't apologize, she didn't explain why & she had the worst attitude. Needless to say, I will not be shopping here again & if one Macy's offers a military discount than EVERY Macy's should be offering it as well. read more

Called the Estee Lauder counter and the woman who answered was so rude and passed me on to the benefit brow without even listening to me...the service was appalling...it was a 20 second conversation bc she didn't even listen to my question, interrupted me while helping someone in front of her I assume then said I need to talk to benefit bc they have more coverage...like do u NOT want me to buy Estee lauder?....I wish I had caught her name because it's a few hrs later and it's still annoys me.....she then tried to transfer me to benefit section and hung up on me....WTF! Ive never reviewed MACYS before but since experiencing degrating customer service from these two old filipino ladys by the name of Cres and . The two old hags are intensely rude and lack significant knowledge of answering simple questions about store policies. I asked Cres if they do price matches just like the Macys store located at the sunvalley mall. She rsponded in a rude manner that they dont do price matches and stated in a rude manner, " THIS IS NOT TJ MAXX OR MARSHALLS ". I found this particular remark very condescending. I guess that employee Cres has been reviewed before by another yelper with the same kind of terrible customer experience i went through. It amazes me that management would allow these kind of employees to work the sales floor. Maybe management is unaware of their employees treating customers in such a rude manner. Ive shopped many other Macys establishments and this one by far is the worst. I sure wish i knew their schedules so i can avoid interaction with these two individuals!! read more

Horrible experience. I had called and asked about my Juicy Couture watch being sized and I was forced to hear another conversation for a few minutes. Once I had an answer , I drove down to Macy's and again encountered a rude sales representative. She asked me where I bought the product. Are you serious lady ? It was a Christmas gift. Any way, the lady went to the back to another lady who was on the phone. That rude sales associate stood up , looked at me and continued to talk on the phone. They pretty much told me to go somewhere else because they were busy . I had to pay to have my watch sized and Macy's sold the exact same watch. To top it all off I am eight months pregnant and had to deal with this bull. I will never shop there again read more

The don't care about their customers, they roll their eyes at you, get combative and argumentative when you try and exchange something. They act like they're doing you a favor by serving you. For the money spent here, people deserve to be treated a lot better. I would not recommend shopping here. read more

I had made an order online purchase I went in to pick it up I was looking to purchase more jewelry but the customer service in fine jewelry was awful!! Asian woman was so rude I waited 30 mins to get any attention from anyone and when I did they just scanned and handed me my stuff and walked away I didn't even get a bag. I think this is because of the way I looked I wasn't dressed up because I didnt need to, but I was willing to give Macy's more business I was going to buy a lot more fine jewelry but didn't, due to the fact I was judged by this broke ass cashier that was only helping people who looked rich to her and that were her own race I'm sorry Macy's but I was bringing so much more business $$$$ but your awful customer service cashier made sure you didn't get the business I shall make sure to let my 1 million followers on social media plus my close friends and family know not to buy from Southland mall Macy's fine jewelry thanks your loss. read more

I like Macy's in general but this one is small and doesn't have a great selection. I was surprised when I went in today looking for a bathing suit and they said they don't carry them at all at this location - no swimwear ever! Weird. I go here because it is close but I'm not sure I will bother next time. What department store doesn't have a single bathing suit in June? read more

Review for Impulse Beauty; there's a huge discrepancy about items they have available. Online from the Macys website, they say the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks are available at this location to purchase in store, with that being said there should be no problem. I had a friend who saw the inventory, and made a purchase without a problem. My sister went there today and the sales associate informed her that they could allow her to see the product but it would be unavailable for purchase. That's incredibly stupid for them to show something they cannot sell and have no knowledge about when they would officially release the products. There's no problem with not having stock, there's just a problem with employees not putting the items up for sale out of the boxes or allowing customers to purchase what they would like. Impulse Beauty needs to be more organized in how they are doing business, they have to sell it to all their customers or not at all and be consistent with what their company is posting online about availability of their items. It makes no sense for a customer to see it available for purchase in store to be turned away. read more

So being from Hayward, Southland Mall was always down the street from my house so it was always my "Go To" mall when I was in a rush for something. I mean the mall is pretty ghetto itself and there isn't that many good stores to shop at so I would have thought that Macys would of been a good place to go to when it came to shopping for a dress for my brother in laws wedding. First of all, the store is a mess! You can't find anything! Luckily, the employee who helped me was extremely nice but when she had difficulty trying to locate something she called the manager over and she was so rude and disrespectful. The managers name was Lian and She just kept talking over the employee and I which I found very rude. You would think calling a manager over would help but in this case it didn't . She said that they no longer had the dress in the same size even though the employee showed me that they had 7 in the store. Macys need better management because the managers there obviously don't do their job and they provide terrible customer service. How do the managers expect the employees to be if they themselves dont provide good customer service. Needless to say, I am NEVER shopping at this Macys again. read more
