I was feeling under the weather, so my boyfriend brought home Mac Pho. I had never heard of it before and honestly didn't expect Stockton to have good pho--but I was pleasantly surprised! The portions here are huge; I divided my bowl into 2 servings. They really loaded it up with brisket, and the tendon and tripe were delicious. The broth was flavorful, and the noodles had a great texture. We got extra tripe and it was worth it! They gave us so much. We stopped by this pho joint on your trip home. Bun Rieu - Flavorful. The only thing I didn't care for was the big piece of meat (pork/shrimp/crab). I use to the shrimp and pork grounded and rolled into like a meatball. In this bowl, the imitation crab was in its whole so it made the meatball more like a rectangular shape. Flavor gets 4/5. Eggrolls: a little skinnier and longer than the usual egg rolls that I am use to seeing. The eggroll was long enough to cut into good half portions. My youngest and middle were not a fan. I tried it and it was not bad. Overall 3/5 Bun Thit Nuong with Pork and Shrimp - Must have been good or my husband was really hungry. I didn't get a chance to try bc he devoured the entire dish. I am incredibly disappointed and disgusted at my meal. First of all, the chicken was undercooked and looked like blood from possibly the cartilage leaking everywhere. The meat was so red. In addition, there was gelatin that must have formed from it sitting out. My meal was pretty cold and I am not how long it has been sittiout. Not to mention, this dish was 75% bone. Idk what's up with these reviews this hit the SPOT for me!!!! I been craving a good BBH but omg I thought it was nowhere to be found. The broth itself was amazing- didn't need any extra sauces in it at all. I got mine extra spicy, added rare steak and meatballs. Delicious It came with so much meat, tender noodles, and all the extras veggies that go in. I am a fan of the fried dough 10/10 experience and recommend. Food comes out hot and delicious. I ordered 4 coffee and a dessert to go that night. I had to wait until my break to enjoy my dessert only to find there is mold in the jelly. Visited Mac Pho for the first time for lunch on a Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving. A few seatings outside and, as one of the first guests, my friends and I were seated outside. So cold and windy, they could have at least provided a portable heater outside to keep the guests warm. Lucky for the guests who came later - they get to sit inside since outside seatings were all taken. Looking at the menu, I was a bit surprised! Being that this is Stockton (not Bay Area), I did not expect the prices to be so high. Their prices are either equivalent or even higher than the bay area for the same type of dishes (rice plates, pho noodle soups, etc.). Once used to live in Stockton for many years, I am familiar with Stockton prices for most Vietnamese restaurants and this place is by far the highest ever. Would be nice if the food quality/quantity would match the high price. The Beef Pho noodle soup we ordered was a bit bland and not much meat but mostly noodles and plain broth. The rice plate was alright, but wish the portion would be larger to match the high price as they do in San Jose area. Overall, I feel Mac Pho is more suitable for the Bay Area with the high prices, not for Stockton. read more

My go-to spot when I visit my mom and sibs out in Stockton. They make their shrimp and meat spring rolls exactly how i love it. The peanut sauce - always on point! The combo beef pho is no joke. Delicious! I love ordering extra tendon and tripe, but best believe that doesnt mean they skimp out on anything. It just tastes sooooo good! I sub my noodles with egg noodle and yummm! The time was maybe around 9am. I ordered the Tom Yum Shrimp Soup. Sweet, sour and mildly spicy soup. Shrimp were fairly large with head still intact, firm but not tough. Also be wary when removing the head, if you pinch too hard you will get shrimp brains on your shirt. Fruits and vegetables were soft not mushy expect the bean sprouts they were firm which added a crunch. The soup, rice and can drink $19 and some change minus the tip. read more
