    Kathew

Came here on a Sunday morning, pretty busy but wait time was about 15-20 mins not bad. Servers were kind and very attentive. Food came out quickly and was great! Both dishes were very flavorful! I really liked their Kathew broth. Definitely coming back to try their other items. Btw I had this restaurant a few years back and it wasn't as good as it is now. They renovated and just reopened a few months ago. Not sure if it's new owners but everything is a lot better than before. Their menu has been updated. Environment also clean.

Never had Cambodian food before. First time for everything! Ordered 5 beef skewers, 4 lao sausages, papaya salad, and the beef kroeung soup! Cash only, we dined in. Total was about $30. We also got some dried thin beef that was near the register, similar to beef jerky. The [beef skewers] were sweet, had a unique tartness to them. I thought they were just alright, wouldn't order again. [Lao sausages] were good, cooked well can't complain. The [papaya salad] was good. It had a nice kick and if I'm not mistaken you can taste the fish sauce used. I wish it was chilled more but that's a personal preference. [Kroeung soup] is a sour soup made with morning glory and had a strong lemongrass flavor. It reminded me of Vietnamese canh chua or Filipino sinigang. Ate it with some rice, it was delicious! The beef jerky was also good and spicy. -1 star for no prices on the menu or anywhere. Kinda just gotta go with your gut. Will come again!

I've Religiously been going here for 7 years! They never disappoint. The customer service is amazing. I advise ordering ahead & picking up If you don't have time to dine in. I'm well known here & they know when I'm calling. Cons: if busy, expect a wait even when you order ahead The temperature of the place is exactly like outdoors.. so if it's cold & hot out, inside will be too!

Spring Rolls with Shrimp and Pork

So I've been wanting to try this place, and finally did last night. The only reason I give it a 4 **** is, they only take cash, oh and it's totally a hole in the wall type place. We ordered the spring rolls with Shrimp and pork. Fresh and yummy... with the sauce to dip and roasted peanuts. Hubby ordered the grilled pork with vermicelli noodles (similar to the Vietnamese style, however everything is laid out on a plate as opposed to chopping the "salad" stuff into the bowl with the noodles and grilled meat. I ordered the grilled meat plate. It came with 2 of each- Laos Sausage, chicken sticks chicken wings and beef sticks. (I tried 1 of each) The pickled cabbage is simple but compliments the grilled meat well. And I ordered a small side of rice and that was plenty. We shall return and try other things on the menu.

Food is delicious. My favorite had to be their kathew, beef jerky, beef sticks & salaw machu kroeung. Service is friendly. Restaurant is clean & spacious.

    This is the seafood mekathang

Ordered mekathang and iced milk coffee--both isn't good at all. Because look at it..it does not look like mekathang at all! No color or flavor to this dish. Tasted plain. And the iced coffee was too sweet to the point I had to give it to my sister and I only took two sips. This restaurant used to be a hit several years ago and now, it's not. it's not the same anymore.

$1.50. It's too dry and crunchy for my liking.

I've had this place bookmarked for awhile. The papaya is super cheap ($5) that comes with a generous portion and vermicelli noodles. Most places would charge extra for the side of noodles. The chilli pepper actually is spicy. The flavoring of the juice isn't sour enough for me. There wasn't a balance. All I tasted was the saltiness and spice, but missing the balance of sweet with sour. I also bought beef jerky. It was sliced thinly, but super dry that it was actually crunchy. I wasn't a fan of the texture. When I arrived there were no customers, but as I waited for my food to go alot more people came in. This place seemed popular for ordering to go than dining in.

Food is good here. Service is super nice but they are understaffed so a little slow but worth the wait. Everything is fresh made to order one plate at a time. Call ahead for pickup and you will be happy.

What kind of combination chow fun mee Katang is this??? Dried up chicken breast. Gross!!! Sarina get your shit together.
    Joey L.

So I ordered combination chow fun with gravy and had my boyfriend picked it up. Well it was dry chicken breast only and super nasty. That girl her name is Sarina that took my order. So I called and asked her why wasn't it combination? She said sorry it was busy and it's made already to just eat it! What the hell is her problem? Plus she always over charge people on all the orders thinking we don't know! I usually always tip her! She is not a good person for that. She do not care for a damn thing . Sarina you do not know how to waitress or whatever you think you are doing there. You suck ass. Gross! Do not go to this place she like to mix other people's orders! Gross gross gross!!!

I don't know why the health department hasn't shut this place down. My girl and I ordered some THUK PROHOKE (steak and Fermented fish sauce dip) which I love btw. I was going to post the picture of my meal. As I proceeded to do so I got distracted by the info about this establishment, after clicking on the health score section, I lost my appetite and felt sick. I found out that this establishment has rodents, cockroaches, and a few other violations, but just hearing the word rodents was enough for me to feel disgusted and to never come back.

So, today was my boyfriend and I first time coming in here. We ordered the beef sticks, papaya salad, a pork rice plate, and a chicken rice plate, with a mocha drink. The beef stick was good and the papaya salad was good, but when we got the rice plates it was different from the pictures. Plus with the chicken, they didn't have the chicken thigh, but she already had told me that they had some other type and it was kinda hard. And with the pork plate, it was supposed to come with a crispy pork and the dark boiled egg, but it came with barbecue pork and a fried egg. The pickled carrot jicama salad was spoiled and I took a bite out of it . The tomatoes and cucumbers looked old. The cashiers/server told my boyfriend that she was going to get him water and never came. She didn't check up on us unless see was giving our food and didn't take the empty dishes from our table. The soup that they give on the side was good though. So that's what gave the two stars because if it wasn't for the soup, I would've gave one. I should've took a picture of the table because they are all messed up the epoxy on it was all cracked and there is some holes on it. They should put tablecloths on top. Oh, and we didn't know that it was only cash so I had to go get cash. While I was getting the money, my boyfriend stayed and while he was waiting, he tried to ask for a to go box but the lady wouldn't give it to him until the food was paid. Which I didn't really understand because we already ate the food. But I guess it was just a precaution they take. I don't think I would come back. Wish I took a picture of everything else.

I would say their level 3 spice for the laap can get pretty spicy -- it's a slow heat that creeps up on you as you continue eating. One thing I'd ask for next time is some lemon or lime, as I like my laap a bit more tangy. They make their sausages in-house, and while they were good, I think they could be a bit larger considering the price, along with a touch more salt for a more savory flavor. That's just my personal preference. Overall, the food we ordered left us very satisfied. Our waiter was very kind and recommended a few dishes for us to try. My rating is 3.0 Good pricing, decent amount of food, typical selections, with sketchy area, especially after dark and uneven quality of dishes. My DH went with his typical Chicken Pad Thai. There's no place on the online ordering system, still furnished by the restaurant, for desired heat level, which is pretty important for Thai joints. I wrote in the Notes section "please make this dish mild, without peppers". For myself, the Pad See-Ew with pork. I always dream of getting char siu but dream on. Also selected the generic fried rice and a couple other dishes. Gung Pad Pak, shrimp sauteed with winter mix veggies and peas. The last item was Pad Ke Nieu, with green peppers and tomatoes and some very big and soggy pieces of bok choy. The best dish was the sauteed shrimp and veggies, which all tasted fresh. The worst was the veggie and beef. About half pound dried out rice noodles, possibly not rehydrated long enough in water beforehand. I found a teaspoon's worth of tiny beef fragments. The Pad Thai was okay but the chicken was rooster-tough and dry. The included chopped Thai peppers had my poor honey stop eating after only a few bites. The Pad See-Ew had plenty of small pieces of thin, dry and tasteless pork, which had a very unusual grain, like wood burls. Veggie and noodle ratio fine but this dishes badly needed sauce. About 1 1/2 teaspoons of those firey little peppers in mine, which I also ordered mild. No issues with the fried rice and I did really enjoy my refreshing Jackfruit milkshake. The spot is in a strip mall, with lots of unhoused folks wandering around and possibly making some customers uncomfortable. The bare bones decor shows a business trying to make do but I hope they have a heart and share some of their end of evening leftovers with those less fortunate, instead of just throwing that away.
