Came here around lunch time on a rainy Monday holiday and the place was busy, but I was able to get a table for one right away. There are so many tables for small and large groups. They gave me a glass of ice water and took my order after a few minutes. I got the #50 with pork and a iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. The food came out fairly quickly and the plate was massive! They gave plenty of big leaves of lettuce, pork, cucumber, bean sprouts, pickled carrot and daikon, a spring roll, a shrimp skewer, fried shrimp paste, and the woven vermicelli with dipping sauce. Everything was so delicious and so filling. I was stuffed. The coffee came after I was almost done with my meal, I guess they have one person doing everyone's drinks at the same time. Extremely fast service for a Sunday. I really did think there was a wait when entering but it was just a party of 6 waiting to get sat. My party and I were sat immediately at a booth. Once the server approached I order the Thai tea, lemonade, rocket shrimp, pho (#5 and #8) and the Kung pai chicken. Besides the kung pao chicken all the food came out extremely fast. I truly enjoyed the flavor of the pho broth, and everything else especially the Thai tea was delicious. On the downside -- this place was a lot darker than most restaurants and once our food came out we didn't see the sever until they were cleaning the table near us. I had went in with a friend Friday 5/1/26 and was extremely disappointed with the service, after being told to pick a place to sit we were only brought water no menus. A few mins later a couple more people walked in, they were seated right away, brought water and menus. Saigon is a good overall Vietnamese restaurant especially if you are new to pho. I have been coming here since I was in college at UOP and it was definitely a staple. Their beef pho is my favorite and has good flavor along with a lot of the vermicelli and rice plates. Recently tried the salt pepper shrimp which was really good and had grilled veggies with it. As I have been coming here for a long time I do feel like the pho here has digressed and isn't what it used to be. But I will say it is my fiancés favorite pho spot since she always gets veggie pho and they always make it consistent how she likes it. This order was for my toddler, so the wrong meat cuts were a serious issue. When I had to pay they made me go to the front desk and the guy just told me the total and didn't show me an itemized bill. I had to ask for the bill and made sure it was accurate. Then when I paid, I saw crazy amounts of tips % like 20, 30 and 40% as the options.
