We recently dined at Johnny Wokker Southeast Asian Cuisine, and overall, it was a great experience! The Fried Chicken Wings were crispy, flavorful, and arrived at our table piping hot--just the way they should be. The Crab Fried Rice with Shrimp was delicious. They used real crab meat and definitely didn't skimp on it, which made every bite worth it. The Drunken Noodles were another standout. The noodles were cooked perfectly--not overcooked or soggy--and the flavors were spot on. One thing we really appreciated was the generous portion sizes. We had plenty of leftovers to take home, making it an even better value. The dining area is small, simple, neat, and clean, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The staff were also friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. My only disappointment was the Thai Tea. It came in a can, which was my fault for not reading the menu carefully. 6/16/26 - I promised my grandson that I would pick him up if I decided to eat out. I told his sister that I had to go get him; she didn't want me to, she wanted me all to herself!! We decided to eat at Johnny Wokker restaurant. My grandson went to the cashier and asked for the menus. We each picked an item. I wanted to try something new and I picked the pineapple rice w/shrimp, my granddaughter picked the usual crab fried rice and my grandson ordered the six-piece fried chicken wings. The chicken wings came out really fast, and then the pineapple rice. It was about 5-8 minutes before the crab fried rice came. I asked my granddaughter was it me or did she think the crab fried rice tasted different and she said yes. I noticed it last time I got it and brought it home. I think they changed brands because the crab isn't flaky and doesn't have that sweet taste it had when they first opened!!! I am not saying that it isn't good, but it is a noticeable change. The pineapple rice was good, I only wished it had more pineapples in it!! The restaurant was clean and not many patrons, although, you can see that most of their profit is made from delivery services. Dinner for three was $46.00+, that isn't bad at all!!!! read more

My friend recommended the Crab Fried Rice here, and it was so good! The portion was HUGE, I sat there for 20 minutes and still couldn't finish even 1/3 of the plate. The shrimp had such a nice smoky flavor, I mixed the shrimp with a little lime juice, and it tasted amazing! I remember this wonderful food truck that caught my eye years ago. Fast forward now 2 restaurants now and same consistency(yes I tried them both). What a great find! We came in last night for dinner. They are in the shopping center where Walmart is so there is a large parking lot. We were greeted by Jacob. They have regular tables and also high tables (Bar type) We ordered the Lao Mein (like chow mein) noodles with Chicken and the Pad See Ewe noodles with tofu. Nice casual restaurant. We had stopped into town to run errands so I convinced hubby to try this place. I had been here back in April to attend a reception after the passing of a friend of the family. All of the food was delicious back then, I'm not quite sure why we never returned. The staff is really nice and accommodating. When we first arrived they didn't look busy, there was only one other table with patrons. We figured it would be quick to pick up and go. We didn't realize there must have been quite a few orders before us, anyway, we waited almost a half hour for our food. I usually like Johnny Wokker but it's been a while since I've ate here. The salt and pepper wings were really good! The crispiness, size, and juiciness is unmatched. I do wish there was a bit more flavor, whether it be a little bit more salt or more pepper. The flavor is a bit subtle. Some pieces were a bit more flavorful than others, so perhaps it wasn't seasoned evenly. I did go home to add a bit more pepper and it was delicious! The crispiness still lasted even through a 20-25 minute drive home, and that's saying a lot! Most places tend to lose its crispiness if it's a long drive. I appreciate that they keep it an open container, because closing the container definitely makes crunchy food soggy. I also ordered the garlic chicken fried rice. I am a bit disappointed that there were no greens in it, not even green onions. The rice was pretty soggy, drenched with sauce. The flavor was also a bit sweet, which is not my preference for food. I couldn't taste the garlic very much. This dish was okay to me, but the portion size and amount of chicken was good. I also re-cooked this dish in a pan to make it less saucy, added more seasoning and some fish sauce to balance the sweetness, and even got a bottom layer of crispy rice when recooking it! It tasted much better after. If you like sweet food, then this dish would be good for you. I'm not sure if this was a one off thing that the food was on the sweeter side, but I'm not sure I would get this dish again. It was fine since I recooked it to my taste, but I don't think I would have enjoyed it if I was eating it on the go and didn't have access to a kitchen and other spices. Their prices and portions are really good! It's great for families or can last you for a few meals if you're eating it by yourself. I would give them another try, but perhaps order something different next time. Service was good. I know sometimes it can get quite busy, but I lucked out and went during a slow time. We walked in and not sure how to order, do we sit down and they come for our order or do we go to the front to order? They told us to take a seat they came to take our order. The server was a young fella very polite and helpful. Customer service was good but you could tell they were shorthand. Order a rice, noddle and broccoli beef dish. The noodles were my fav the fried garlic rice wasnt too good and the broccoli beef was way salty. It was overwhelmingly salty. The table was kinda sticky and the whole restaurant was hot af! Like there was no AC we were eating and sweating. Honestly I wish I could give this place a higher rating due to the service but the food and the whole spot being really hot just didn't do it for me. Initially when we went it was for take out however, it was pretty empty and the customer service was so top tier while ordering that we decided to dine in. We've had their salt & pepper wings 2x now because they're so delicious. We were in Stockton and I knew I wanted their wings again and came for our 3rd visit. I texted in our order. 2 orders of 12 pc wings. They're so good, hubby and I have to get our own. I was so disappointed when we got home to find that our 24 wings were burnt!! I texted back the # with a picture of my burnt wings (see pic) and a pic of other wings we have had on our other visit that were beautifully golden. They apologized and said they would replace my wings on my next visit. I texted back and said both orders were burnt and they stopped replying. I'm disappointed because if I had been given the burnt wings on my first visit, I would think wow, these aren't good and probably wouldn't go back. Johnny Wokkers, what can I say? I initially heard about this place from a friend on Facebook who mentioned that they were transitioning from a food truck to a brick and mortar storefront. I was having a taste for Thai food, and decided to check them out. Let me start off by saying I was not disappointed. I tried to call to place an order and they immediately texted me, asking me to place my order over text. That was not a problem at all for me. After looking at yelp reviews, I decided to get the crab fried rice with shrimp added, the chicken, wings, and the shrimp drunken noodles. One thing to know about this business is that they make food to order, so the wait time may be a little bit longer. I did not have a problem and the wait time truly wasn't that bad. When my order was ready, they texted me to let me know. The staff was very friendly and made sure that what I ordered was in the bag before I left. The restaurant itself is really nice. It's very casual, but has a very homey feel to it. The restaurant is in a parking lot with a lot of other businesses, so there is adequate parking. Now let's get into the food. The best item on the menu is going to be the crab fried rice with shrimp. Make sure to add the shrimp as it adds additional flavor and protein to the meal but that was 10/10. There is so much flavor, and a good amount of crab. They do not skimp on the crab at all. The second best thing were the wings they are moist, crunchy, and seasoned very well. my least favorite item was the drunken noodles. I feel like it lacked flavor, but it wasn't terrible. I've had better drunken noodles, but truly it was not a problem because the other two items were so delicious. The price was also pretty good for what I ordered and given the large portion sizes. That's for sure.. the only issue we had was when messaging to get an order in, out of the whole order there was no chicken wings available at the time but when I went in to pick up our order, the young man behind the counter was accepting chicken wing orders while I was paying, I wanted to say something but I just left it alone, and walked out with the order we had placed.
