The sandwich was loaded with sausage! Egg was cooked perfectly. And the bread-- Emery's is not skimping out on the bread. They use Genova rolls and buns; if you haven't had Genova bread, you don't know what you're missing. Think of it as a soft and fluffy meat cradle. Bbq Sandwich meal was a lot of food! Tri-tip was sooo good. Potato salad: good, nothing wrong with it, not exciting either Mac & Cheese: good, nothing fancy - just the way I like it Banana pudding: too sweet for my taste but had good texture Baked beans: very tasty Our full order included sodas as well, which we did not receive in our bags. But we understand they are doing their best and probably just need a chance to get these little things ironed out. Welcomed in by the owner, very friendly and personable. Sounds like he had a successful food truck business and recently opened up this brick and mortar in downtown Stockton. We were in town for a show and this was recommended from a friend who saw them on IG. I'm always down to support black-owned, local, mom and pops shops. They named it after their adorable son who was riding his little corvette around the dining room. We ordered the 3 way ($40) with ribs, tri tip, and a hot link, and the 3 sides we chose were collard greens, Mac n cheese, and potato salad. Ribs were fall off the bone tender. Mac and cheese was delicious but wasn't served hot enough. Greens had great flavor, tender leaves, and cooked with smoked turkey (?). I didn't care for the potato salad. Flavor was off but good texture. Tri tip had good charred flavor but was served chopped up. Not used to it served like that and would rather have it in whole slices. Hot link was very mild and also sliced up. Again, would prefer it served whole because I felt like I was eating cut up hot dogs. The meat was covered in bbq sauce. My bad for not requesting the sauce on the side. Sauce was good, but It would be nice if they offered a spicy and a mild. Overall, service was great; food had some hits and some room for improvement. Smacking!! This place is a gem, we were welcomed in. We got full size loaded fries with hot links, the proportions were good and plenty! Tried their kool-aid of the day and it was super tasty. Alrighty. Well the banana pudding is delicious and kudos to that recipe, it's like crack and makes you want more. The Tritip we got was cut up, I'd prefer it be in strips instead and whatever they put on top tastes more like ketchup not a bbq sauce but the Tritip was ok minus the sauce topping. We also got a slab of ribs, those were really good but got damn could we get more bbq sauce please, there was only a slight single line of bbq sauce, would've been great to get a lil tub of sauce, otherwise they were smackin'. read more

This was my first visit to Emery's today June 6, 2026. I was referred by a friend who said the food was delicious. I loved how polite the staff were and the atmosphere music was a great plus. We were comfortable and decided to eat there. Great choice. Meat tri-tip beef links and chicken was seasoned really well. Mac n cheese oh my god moist creamy so tasty. Greens on point and baked beans. My daughter order a banana pudding on way out. Our order was the $55 extra portion 4 meats 4,sides. Portion sides were great as well. Thumbs up to this establishment. First and foremost Thank you for your hospitality. I intended to order a 3 way with tri tip, link and ribs. Sides of mac and cheese, potato salad and fries. A loaded baked potato and banana pudding. Unfortunately they were out of mac and cheese and banana pudding. So I got a 2 way pictured and a loaded baked potato. I also intended to get order an Éclair instead of the pudding. They have plenty seating and huge bar seating huge..after a short wait I got my food and it home. To my surprise i found no eclair. I called and spoke to Terry I believe about it and she informed me that she didn't charge me. Indeed she didn't. Like a great proprietor she offer a free eclair next time im in the area. Awesome of her to offer. Well to the bbq I didn't know what to expect but I found out. It reminds me of back yard bbq. The ribs were tasty but on the tougher side but plenty of meat and fat. The hot links where sliced. I was expecting whole links. They were ok. Kinda like a Alpine hot link with bbq sauce. The fries i really liked. Well seasoned French fries. Cajun spices I assume. $123 for this order was absolutely not worth it. The food quality did not match the price at all. It makes it hard to support small businesses when this is the level of service and food being provided. The chicken sandwich was dry, overcooked, and tasted like it was fried in old oil. The chicken and fries were the same burnt and heavy with that old oil flavor. When even a toddler wouldn't touch the fries, that says a lot. I specifically requested no BBQ sauce on my baked potato and asked for extra cheese, sour cream, and butter. Instead, I received an undercooked potato covered in BBQ sauce exactly what I asked not to have and none of the extras I requested. The mac and cheese was overcooked, dry, and oily (the oil had separated). The potato salad was okay but needed more mayo to even be enjoyable. For those prices, the food should be fresh, properly cooked, and made to order. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect that. I won't be returning Edit to reply to the owners response: Actually the they that took our order said he was adding it in manually. I noticed the same thing and asked him to make sure no BBQ sauce. It possibly could have been that he was so overwhelmed with such a big order and having to manually add things and edit things. But it still doesn't excuse the fact that the chicken is dried out and burnt and the fries are so stale and old that my kids wouldn't eat them. But I SPECIFICALLY remember asking NO BBQ sauce. read more

I had a plate ordered from here a 3 meat plate but only received 2 meats for $35, hot links seemed over cooked and the ribs I received were the bigger tougher end of the ribs and one single bone ribs with sauce only on the top rib with a light taste of lighter fluid. First time here but we love the location with clean well stocked bathrooms and a great outdoor seating area. The lady who helped me was super nice and I appreciate so much that she called me right away when an item I ordered online was out of stock. We ordered the Fat Back Burger with fries and a kool aid of the day. We also tried the banana pudding and a strawberry crunch cookie and a monster cookie. Let's start off with the kool aid is a certified banger! Best kool aid from any restaurant we've tried that has kool aid- don't be too good for the kool aid you will miss out! Next thing I noticed was the French fries - they were fresh and crispy and well seasoned y'all!! The burger was loaded with bacon, hot links, Swiss and American cheese and Mac and cheese all on top of double burger patties with bbq drizzle!! I love that this burger was so well made and even though it was fully loaded we were still able to cut it in half and eat it without making a mess - execution matters! We love that this is a family business and we had a chance to talk to the proprietor and we are happy to support this business. Food was absolutely worth it. However, my boyfriend and i witnessed a blonde woman talk down to her employee in front of us. She told him to close the door, and as he was carrying a bbq in, she walked back over and told him to close it again, very rudely. As if his hands weren't already full. You shouldn't be talking to employees like that in front of customers, you could visibly see the irritation on her face. I hope this improves next visit! read more

First time coming to the restaurant. Drove over two hours to come try this place out at the recommendation of a friend. We arrived an hour before closing and were met with a friendly employee named Jade! We were excited to try the ribs and banana pudding but they sold out before we arrived. That tells you it must be that AMAZING! We ordered the two meat plates and the food was a 10/10! The manager, Taylor was so sweet she even went out of her way to give us additional sides to try since the other items we wanted were sold out. If the food wasn't good enough, the service will definitely be the reason they have two new customers for life! read more

This review is for the tri tip sandwich only. I stop in for a sandwich only during lunch. The place is clean & the girl taking my order was pleasant. I got my sandwich to go. When I got home to eat it I was disappointed that the tri tip was chopped up & not sliced. The whole sandwich was just smothered in some kind of sauce, I'm assuming it was bbq sauce & that was it. My roll had disintegrated & was mushy. Would I go back? Yes I would to give this place another chance & try something different.
