Disappointed by the lack of caring. First time here and wanted to support local businesses in the community due to the covid-19 crisis. Had ordered their #2 Pho and had the outdoor dining but into my meals, a fly happened to landed in the bowl of pho. Told the owner about the incident, showed it to him but that was it. He didn't take the initiative to do anything about it. I mean it's no one fault but if you own this business, at least compromise a bit or have compassion. This is one of my favorite restaurants!! I've been coming here for YEARS!! Even introduced this place to others because they are just that great! They recently started renovating and it looks amazing!! they always have their culture music or shows on and it's just a home feel. I'm so happy for them! Honestly they are the best people in the world and they know my whole family and myself. The food here is always amazing! Very flavorful and traditional. ***they have vegan options*** one of the main reasons I came to this place because they were the only Vietnamese restaurant in Stockton that offered veggie broth with the soups at the time I was coming and since then they've been my favorite restaurant. The service here is always great, fast and efficient. They know us so they always give my niece extra food, candy or they buy ice cream just for her ahaha like I said they are amazing people. My family and myself come at least one a week but for sure every Sunday mornings for that good o'l hangover cure soup. Parking is great, never had problems. Doesn't look l like much when you come in here which is what I've come to expect from pho places but the focus is more on the food. The spring rolls were delicious crisp and fresh the peanut sauce was tasty tasty. The pho was a generous serving of noodles in a succulent broth garnished with bean sprouts Thai basil and some other garnishes on the table or several kinds of condiments so you can spice up your soup the way that you like it. Mac Pho offers a spacious and clean restaurant with a friendly and helpful staff. We came around lunch on a Wednesday and were seated immediately. The waitress was very friendly, talkative, gave lots of feedback, and was attentive. Their menu is extensive and they offer things like duck, both chicken and beef pho, rice noodles, fried rice, traditional Vietnamese rice dishes, and a variety of classics and favorites. My mom was fixated on their chicken, my aunts got chicken pho or chicken with glass noodle soup, my sister got pho, I got the grilled pork chop plate, and we shared some fish sauce chicken wings. My mom (what is up with Asian moms, am I right?) kept bragging about their steamed chicken so I couldn't stop laughing at her when it came and she was super disappointed. She told the waitress it was better last time when they used a special kind of chicken - the waitress told my mom they never used any special (free range?) chicken. My sister and I rolled our eyes at our mom. My sister liked her pho, my aunts liked their chicken noodle soup dishes. My pork chop rice plate was serviceable. It's not too much pork, you can look at the photo. The steamed egg cake is nice, the salad is a good refreshing addition, and the soup was warm and filled me up. The chicken wings came out hot, looked great presentation wise, but they weren't special. They definitely tasted like fish sauce, but nothing spectacular or any crazy culinary experience erupted on my taste buds. I feel safe coming here, prices are fair. Been eating here for years. Don't know if they are new owners but the pricing is so high. I wanted to support a local business and ordered 4 egg rolls and a calamari appetizer. Yelp menu photos showed both items as $6.95 and $5.95 respectively. I expected some inflation but when I arrived to pay, my total was close to $20. I asked the lady owner for a breakdown. The 4 egg rolls were now $8.95 and the calamari was $7.95 plus tax. She said the pictures in yelp were customer photos so she knows the photos are outdated but did not put up current menu pics/prices. I paid and took my food home. I have never been so disappointed. There were exactly 6 tiny rings of calamari. I paid $1.33 per calamari ring. I don't mind increased food prices but the portion should be appropriate. I love Mac pho and have been coming here for a while (PRE-COVID). This morning, I decided to come here again for the first time during the pandemic hit and OMG. None of the tables were distanced from each other along with EVERY SINGLE PERSON that came in did not have a face mask and no one enforced the mask rule! Then I realized they had no signage regarding masks being required or 6ft distancing either. The staff was wearing masks but made me very uncomfortable with how close other groups were sitting by me. I wish they'd do better and actually enforce these rules. read more

My family and I have tried many of the Pho places around the Valley. So far this one is our favorite. The best customer service I've experienced at a Pho restaurant so far. We Pho was very flavorful and good sized portions. When we asked for extra noodle we got them. I don't like there meatballs as much as some others but they will do since the customer service is on point. It's clean and big, plenty of seating. They didn't mind when we asked for waters alongside our Thai teas or when we needed to-go containers. Food: The lettuce in the spring rolls was crisp and the peanut sauce had very good flavor! A little Sriracha takes it up another notch. The pho we ordered was a large #13, we asked for bowls so we could share. The broth had good flavor and was clean, that's a big one for me when it comes to pho. If your broth isn't clean or has bone remnants in it, that kills it for me!!!! Lol nothing worse than eating your pho and biting down on pieces of bone wrapped in your noodles. That wasn't an issue here but was elsewhere lol. As I was saying, the pho was good and filled us up. A large worked well for my sister and I to share. Drinks: We ordered two Thai iced teas and the boba was clumped together. I'm not the biggest fan of Pho, and being a vegetarian sometimes it's hard to find vegetarian pho, but Mac Pho's vegetarian tofu pho is very tasty. The large is very large, so come hungry. The crispy tofu veggie chow fun is another great dish. The sauce in particular is packed with flavor, the tofu makes you want more, and if you like Napa cabbage you'll love this dish. Mac Pho's service is prompt and friendly. They came to ask if we wanted more jasmine tea several times and as the tea was perfect we had 3 pots of it. BEST Bun Bo Hue IN STOCKTON! Very authentic broth, complete with pork trotter, pork blood and lots of meat. They even serve a generous amount of sliced fresh banana blossom, cabbage and fresh herbs (including mint and "rau ram") on the side. I've tried BBH at many places in Stockton and this is by far the best. We've come here many times this year and the food is consistently good. My wife gets the seafood hu tieu noodle soup and egg rolls; she likes them a lot. I tried the beef pho once last year and wasn't impressed, but it's probably just my tastes since I prefer BBH anyway. The service is good and the people are friendly. A few servers don't have the best English skills, but they try hard and with a little patience, you will get authentic food at great prices. read more
