Disappointed in their food and pricing. I expected the chilaquiles to be a lot more flavorful - as that's how they look. The sauce was very tomato sauce based and I barely ate it. Would have liked an actual salsa flavor. The egg was cooked nicely over-hard and the red onion and cilantro were a nice touch. But all I ate was the egg. Breakfast skillet was good. Mother's Day is a busy day, I get it. Heirloom took a reservation for myself, my wife, and our two kids and gave us an estimated hour wait time. This estimate was on Yelp and given to us by the hostess. We returned an hour and a half later, table still not ready-and we noticed that two tables that were empty when we got there were still empty when we came back an hour later. On this packed day, they were keeping tables empty waiting for parties of 8-10 people. Having owned restaurants myself this practice makes zero sense to me-seat turnover rate is critical to successfully managing a restaurant and leaving at least eight seats empty for over two hours in case a larger group shows up is a terrible business practice. If management sees this don't take my word for it; check the cameras. I believe they were actually empty because the employees did not have the capacity to serve the number of guests they had, as was evidenced by how miserable every single employee looked to be there; but back to the issues. We noticed several other patrons who had been waiting when we were there earlier still waiting for a table. All three groups we talked with said they waited for over an hour and were given an hour wait time and confirmed that the back tables had been empty. THREE HOURS IN at least one of the groups gave up waiting. We're finally seated; probably moved up the line because of the folks who gave up waiting. We're seated. The patrons next to us are friends with the hostess and receive timely service; the table next to us however hasn't been served at all. It takes 20 minutes for our server to come to the table, another 10 for water, another 10 for our order to be taken. Almost a 45 minute wait for food that was thrown together haphazardly-there was short black hair in my wife's food that we didn't bother to return because keep in mind that by this time we've been waiting for over four hours. Happy Mother's Day! Management at this restaurant is severely lacking. From the grossly inaccurate wait times, to the empty tables being "held", to the terrible service by grumpy waitresses/waiters, to the food-it was all bad. Now, I've eaten the food here before and it was good and worth the wait. Today it wasn't. This thoroughly terrible experience soured myself and my group to returning, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Businesses thrive on good practices, not on only delivering service to people that the waitstaff are friends with. read more

The Food Lineup: Brisket Breakfast Sandwich: My personal favorite. It comes with smoked burnt ends, a perfectly cooked sunny-side egg, fondue cheese sauce, and crispy onions on brioche. The country potatoes on the side were seasoned perfectly. Prime Brisket and Eggs: My husband's pick. This is a generous slab of Harris Ranch Prime Brisket with a great heirloom dry rub. It's served with farm-fresh eggs and a delicious chimichurri that cuts through the richness of the meat. I'm so glad that I tried this place today. I've driven past it quite a few times but I rarely go to lunch because I only work in Stockton. Today I decided to go and and try it out. I've been craving pancakes and I went ahead and tried the pancakes with brie and blackberry sauce. I added egg whites on the side. It was very good and I wouldn't hesitate to get it again. They also have other options, some seasonal others are all the time for the same type of foods. The menu has a lot of fun things to try, and I will be back. Decided to meet up with some family this morning at heirloom kitchen for breakfast. It did not disappoint! From the minute we were seated, which happened very quickly, the service was excellent. Coffees were brought out almost instantly and stayed filled our entire visit there. The food was excellent. I ordered the queso Fundido grits, which were very, very good excellent flavor and great consistency. My aunt had the Denver omelette and she said that it was very tasty and cooked just right. Such a great spot for yummy brunch food! Food: My favorite item on the menu is the Avocado Toast. I know that figs on avocado toast may sound unconventional, but TRUST that they are onto something with this one. The flavors are so well balanced. I have also enjoyed the Peach Pie French Toast which is a great option for a sweet breakfast and the Breakfast Skillet with Brisket. Note that the skillet comes with mushrooms (which I love, but not everyone is a fan) Service: It gets pretty busy in weekends so be prepared to wait. Once you are seated, it does take about 25-30 minutes to get your food so be prepared for that as well. Wait staff are generally very kind though and make good recommendations! I honestly thought I left a review already from being here a few times last year but I guess not. This might be my favorite breakfast spot in Stockton. Prices are fair but the service and quality of food are spectacular. It can get busy and loud though on weekends. I've tried their brisket breakfast sandwich, their chilaquiles, and their traditional breakfast with upgraded pumpkin pancakes. Every single item was full of flavor. It was our first time here, we live in Tracy and we're running errands. We stopped in for breakfast and immediately were greeted by the staff here is an amazing group of people who have great personalities and excellent work ethic. Not to mention the food was amazing. Tried heirloom kitchen for this first time this morning. They've been on my try list since summer and we finally made it. Wait for a part of 5 was between 18-24 minutes not bad for a Saturday at 9:30. We were sat inside and waters came quickly. Our party decided pretty quickly on drinks and food and our waitress was very attentive. The restaurant was very busy but it seemed like service ran smooth for everyone and the decor was delicate and not overwhelming. Stuffed with tender juicy brisket, I choose the havarti cheese and and brisket is complimented with grilled red peppers and onions with a mayo and chimichurri sauce. Wheeeew! You can't go wrong with that. Ambiance: Think old school Mel's dinner atmosphere. No need to dress up just throw on some jeans or a sundress and enjoy the eats with a table inside or out on the patio. Service: The service was good. My waiter was friendly and quick. We are regulars here that come atleast once a week. One of the best breakfast spots in Stockton. Today I tried something new after getting the same thing for over a year. I had the brisket breakfast skillet. I probably wouldn't get that again. It left a lot to be desired and only had tiny pieces of brisket and the potatoes weren't cooked all the way through.
