My friend took their van to a guy whose number is +1 (253) 262-8714. He kept it for over a year, constantly making excuses as to why it wasn't done yet, and that he would have it done soon. Eventually the excuses got so elaborate (flying to the Midwest for a child custody battle) and it became clear he was scamming them. They finally got the van back after paying several thousand dollars to find that no work had been done and some parts had actually been taken off. I must say, thus far, I have to give them a 5 star for their professional, kind, compassionate service. I would say from the outside, it doesn't like like your fancy shops. But honestly, you get awesome, quality customer service/support. I called frantic on a Friday that my car had died. In spite of their $150 diagnostic fee, they were sooooo informative, kind, and understanding. I went here after getting my car towed to them, and they were SOOO thorough. Literally left no stones unturned. They were soo informational and I left feeling confirmed that we knew what was wrong with my car, and that I could get it fixed for only $400 (that included the diagnostic fee). I was surprised and elated to hear that it would cost me much less than I feared. The owner was so exceptional. She called me twice that Friday night to update me on my car and literally was patient, educated me, asked me really thorough follow-up questions, and she wasn't even trying to schtick me for anything! Basically, after examining my car and telling her the backstory of what happened, she was able to come to a conclusion and I left the next morning only paying for the diagnostic fee. They are incredible. Literally, I left feeling so confident in their work ethic and business model. I loved how informative they were, how detail-oriented they were, and how 1 misfortune could turn into a happy ending. Literally, I told them I'm coming back and bringing more people with me! One of our beater cars (the one with the "broken odometer") is never going to pass the emissions test, so every couple of years we have to go through the motions. The last place we used is not an authorized emission specialist anymore, so I gave MK Auto a call. Wow! They said I could bring the car on down today and they'd check it out. We didn't have to wait but a few minutes until the mechanic got right on it. We'd lost the Applus test sheet but he printed out a new one and continued the diagnostics and ultimately the drive test. No big surprise - the car needs a new catalytic converter, O2 sensor and more - about 2x what the car's worth. It also makes a loud clunking transmission sound and has a peculiar, nonsensical habit of stalling for no good reason. Naturally we opted for the waiver, spending only what's required by the state. What's cool is that MK knew exactly what the deal was and didn't pressure us to do anything more. The mechanic did comment he thought driving it was a little scary though. Everyone was pleasant and it was actually refreshing to have just the right amount of down home chit chat while we were waiting. Three cute dogs in the shop add some brownie points. I'm impressed enough with MK to want to bring our other beater cars to them, so we can keep on truckin' for a little while longer. read more

I just went here for an oil change since it was close to my work. After bringing up that I was losing oil in between changes, they did an inspection for me and took photos of what needed to be fixed. They did a great job of making me feel at home and I didnt feel rushed at all (which, for me, is rare at an auto shop). I will be coming back for all future repairs that I need. read more

I just bought a new vehicle that needed a new catalyst converter and sensors for the tires. I didn't know much about either of these things but after a short phone call. The woman who answered my call was very well informed on the matter and quoted me prices right over the phone. The issues were a little more pricey than what I expected. However she talked me through the parts and explained to me how they worked and their level of importance. After listening to her advice, I ended up not needing to fix them quite yet. She could have tried to dupe me into paying for something that I honestly can't afford right now, but instead she gave me very straight forward advice and I felt that she cared more about helping me with the issue than just trying to make some easy money at my expense. My car was past due for a timing belt, water pump, and serpentine belt service. I drove by the night before since I frequent Georgetown, and decided to give them a call. The front desk lady quoted me and told me that it cold be done the same day I dropped it off. I brought it in the next day at 10am and she ran me through pricing to help me determine the overall costs. I dropped it off, and actually picked it up the same day as stated. Before when I would bring my car to Toyota for an oil change, they would tell me that I need to fix 20 other things urgently (that don't need to really be fixed right away)... trying to get me to spend more money! MK Auto genuinely will tell you the best, cost-effective thing to do and will price match when necessary. They also will give good, genuine advice when they see fit, that doesn't necessarily mean you have to spend any money with them. Lastly, they get their job done in a really timely manner. Kim was very kind, quick to communicate, and happy to explain everything going on with my car & options for services. She was patient with all my followup questions, and also advised me of something to look out for that I hadn't noticed, without trying to pressure me to take care of it immediately. It's my first time owning a car so I was looking for a place that wouldn't take advantage of that-- I'm so grateful my friend recommended M&K to me! Absolutely will recommend to everyone I know. Simple service these dudes might be great, like an oil change. My 9 year old nephew can do that...I'm highly dissatisfied with Mike. They misdiagnosed my car and argued me down about the fix. They told me it was my starter without performing a bench test. I told him I knew that wasn't the problem at all yet the educated mechanic told me he was right. So we movers forward to find out it was definitely not the issue at all. Still at this point no bench test on the old starter. I was charged $150 just for his brother to re-install my plugs backwards which I then found out my coil packs were switched around as well. When I contacted him, he pretended to be in Texas. I gave him 2 weeks to make things right with no communication. So here we are, a honest review of these crooks that intentionally tried to sabotage my vehicle. There was no need to remove my coil packs and who cant follow spark plugs. I shall see these guys in court. Good thing my friend's Ring has then workin on my vehicle. Watch out for these guys. Muay ( Moo-Eye) is the friendly shop owner. His English is not perfect but he gets the job done right at a fair price. stranded in Seattle Our car broke down in Tukwila, WA without giving any signs of a problem we were at the mercy of a tow guy who directed us to this little shop 15 miles from our breakdown. We had no reason to believe it was to serious but ended up being a blown engine this was at 60,000 miles and still under finance these folks were outstanding in support and they worked beyond there means to make our car new again. I took my car here from a recommendation of a friend. Since watching the videos on frontline about major businesses such as Jiffy Lube and others of exposing car shops not doing repairs paid for, I've been leary about taking my car anywhere but a friend recommended it so I took a chance. The mechanic named Wa did a good job. Not only did he show me the changed oil filter but he also did a full check of my vehicle for free and explained to me what would need done for optimal performance. As he inspected the vehicle he noticed that my tire was in bad shape and went over with me my options. I felt like i got the most for my money and that the people of the shop authentically cared for my car. Ok, so I don't normally write reviews but have to about M K auto service. I am from the UK and brought a Land Rover. Since owning it I have been taken advantage of by so many garages, maybe because I'm English or maybe because I'm a female or maybe because it's an import, or maybe people aren't honest anymore. But here, I found total honesty and helpfulness. My car failed it's emissions and MK was on my list from the states emissions place but have been reluctant to have any other jobs done that I know need doing because of lack of honesty. I went to one garage and they were like yeah it costs this much and you need this. But when I look on line the cost is 95% more than the true cost. So I went to M K auto service and asked about emissions but also cost of my brakes front and back. They called back and said this and this need doing on the brakes (but still reasonably priced) and this is cost of diagnostic for emissions etc. I am so glad I found this place. they are kind, honest and approachable and understood me. It was done the same day I took it in and my car has never felt so safe to drive. I have now found my garage to use when ever my car needs work doing to it. Thank you M & K Auto Service : ) read more
