I had an intermittent headlight issue that my regular mechanic did not find. Called Eric's and they got me in same day. Problem was fixed at a reasonable price. Highly recommended! read more

Very honest and stand behind his work, I had a few issues with my car, Eric continue to work on it until he figured it out! I would recommend this place of business. read more

I've found my new repair shop. Eric and his team are great people doing honest work. I called to see if they could fit my car in for A/C repair sometime in the next couple of weeks. He asked me to stop by right away so they could give it a look. Within 5 minutes, they diagnosed the problem with a detached cable and solved the problem without charging me for their time. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I won't go back to Greg's Japanese Auto, who caused this issue in the first place. Thank you Eric! read more

Had a coolant leak. Fixed my vehicle quick and easy. Honest and hard working people. Don't look around just go here and be done with it

Went there to get my car fixed, but ended up buying one of the cars on their lot. I was told it's a great car and that they did a bunch of work on it. Supposedly, it was worth $8000. A week after I bought it, the engine started to overheat and they had to replace the radiator. Three weeks later, they tried to fix a clunky noise in the rear but couldn't find and fix the underlying issue. I brought the car into a different shop and they found numerous problems with an estimated cost of $5000 to get those fixed. Needless to say I will not go back there again and also wouldn't recommend it to anyone! read more

Terrible customer service and terrible communication! I took my car in on a Thursday for a diagnosis. They gave me a diagnosis by the end of the day and I setup an appointment the very next Monday to have it worked on. On Monday I took my car in, that evening before closing I call and they say they are waiting on a part to be delivered which is understandable. I call back Tuesday they say the same thing the part hasn't come in yet - which I thought was odd at this point since my appointment was made the previous Thursday. I then call back the next day on Wednesday they explain the part has been discontinued from their warehouse and they no longer are able to get the part, but if I, myself, order it they can apply it. They said "we can work on the car it just won't be different" huh?? I ask how much the part is they say $260+ I asked if it was in the original estimate and they say no....???! But I thought the part was ordered??So I was going to have to pay more than estimate? These guys lied to me, said they ordered the part, but somehow their warehouse doesn't have the part so how was it ordered. Then asked me to order the part but the estimate would be the exact same. Terrible customer service terrible communication and never even apologized for the mishap or having my car for three days without being able to complete the work. read more

Thank you for saving my camping trip! They identified a water pump issue right away and fixed it in time for the weekend. I appreciate Eric's greatly! read more

I can't stop singing the praises of this place. I was getting my car ready for sale and wanted to make sure it had good, fresh oil and no leaks and the like. They checked it out and found nothing wrong with it, and because the oil was still in really good shape they convinced me not to get it changed -- and they didn't even charge me for their time for inspecting the car! These folks are awesome. read more

Eric's is awesome. No nonsense quotes, great work, friendly service and prompt communication.

Awesome awesome awesome!!! My car was being stubborn, and they kept my car and figured it out!! They didn't leave me hanging and worked with me as my job was paying for it! They are honest and trustworthy people! Eric made sure to check in with me every time he had an update and also allowed me to bug them!!! I am so appreciative!!! I am going to see if they do just normal maintenance like oil changes and stuff too so they will be the only ones touching my car from now on!!! Thanks so much guys!!! HURRY UP AND USE THEM IF YOU NEED!! read more

I drive 2012 VW turbo which just hit 86k. It's recommended to have the transmission fluid changed. The dealer quote was almost $1000. My boyfriend recommended Eric's as a friend of his had recently had work done of his VW. Made an appointment once in it was discover the gasket was leaking. They ordered one and got me back in quickly. They changed the fluid, the gasket and filters for Much less than the dealership. The staff is Super friendly and trustworthy. Eric's is my new garage. Thanx guys!!! read more

Eric's Import And Domestic Auto Services - Auto Repair Near Me - Seattle, Washington

See all

My car displayed transmission malfunction on the dashboard. Of course, I freak out and not drive car for 10 days. Eric's Imports has worked on my roommate's car multiple times and extremely super satisfied. Long story short, I expected the worst. But the problem was only related to the battery being low voltage. Eric charged nothing, I'm sure other shops would have taken me for a ride. WOW, what an honest establishment. Definitely, a West Seattle Best! read more

Total rip off. Don't trust them. I went in for preventative maintenance and left with my car sputtering - after 4 months of them fumbling around they told me my timing chain was bad. Probably put the wrong oil in - don't trust your foreign car to them. Bad business - supposed to fix a rear main seal - didn't even fix that and charged over $1000 for it. Bad business- unprofessional- terrible service- and will rip you off. read more

I thought I had an oil leak, but the previous place that changed my oil did not do it correctly. At Eric's they were able to change the oil properly and had the issue fixed right away. I appreciate their honesty and hard work ethic. They also have very reasonable prices. I'll definitely be going back for oil changes and anything else I need done on my car. Thanks guys! read more

My taillights and break light suddenly went out and Tony invited me to come through same-day to take a look. He not only fixed it within a couple hours but didn't even charge me for switching out the fuse. I've now gone to this shop several times for a tune-up and another small repair and can honestly say, Tony does fantastic work! Prompt, easy to work with, and affordable. Highly recommend! read more

I recently went back to get the truck tuned up again. He found several other issues I was unaware of. So glad I have access to a competent and honest automotive service shop! ======================================= I went to several automotive shops since living in Seattle. Eric's was the only one not to tell me it would cost a bundle to replace my Chevy's broken gas gauge when my fuel system was having issues. He has also done full tuneups among other various things. I've had this 2001 Chevy since it was brand new. I don't plan on adding any new car payments as long as I can keep this rig running. I feel Eric's is the place to make the goal perpetuate the longest. You would be doing yourself a disservice not to check here first for your automotive needs! read more

These guys are the best!! Polite, helpful, and efficient. I thought my fan belt was broken after hearing how loud the fan was after driving in traffic. Turns out, I don't have a fan belt. ‍ The coolant was empty! They filled it and the window washer fluid...no charge! So thankful for this neighborhood shop! read more

I was going to buy a car, I was from out of town, Eric took time out of his day to take a look. After his evaluation, he definitely said, do not buy it and drew a quote out for the fix as well. His experience, insight and professional demeanor allowed me to make a great informed decision. No pressure, always professional. read more

It can be a little intimidating going into a repair shop as a women. I was side swiped and it left my mirror lose. They fixed it for me in about 30 sec. While I hope I don't need anything else done any time soon, I'll definitely be back. read more

Worst place ever! Went I to have my transmission serviced and he told me I needed a rebuilt transmission for $3500.00 that's the quote without labor and other parts. My car has only 89,000 miles and is a 2006 Explorer. He didn't even drive it or check the transmission fluid. I took it to him because of the good yelp reviews they received. I took it to a transmission specialist and they just serviced it and I was on my way for $300.00 read more

This is a great shop. My dad found this shop for me to take my VW Passat to. Ericson was able to squeeze us in the following Monday. He replaced my thermostat (we brought the parts and the coolant) and had it done pretty quick. I was very pleased, and relieved! I then called and scheduled an appointment for August 3rd to have my back brakes and a mount replaced. Again, Ericson was able to squeeze us in again (very last minute too! I called and left a voicemail the night before and had my car in the shop the next morning!) they were very busy but they still managed to get to my brakes. Pricing is great, they are very fast, professional and reliable. I will absolutely be returning and I will be recommending this place to everybody I know. read more

I've brought my car to Ericson for years. I followed him from the previous shop he was working at. There have probably been half a dozen times that I should have written a fantastic review for him since he is always going above and beyond. Tonight was just another example of that. My car broke down 45 minutes after closing time, and I called the shop just in case he was still there to see if I could have the tow truck drop my car off there. Thankfully he answered. I explained my situation and he waited there for almost two hours until I was able to get there with my car. It's Friday night and it's beautiful out. I would have understood if he didn't even answer the phone, much less wait for me. Ericsons customer service has always been excellent. I know my car is in good hands when it is with him, and I know he won't offer me work that I don't actually need. As long as Ericson has a shop open, it will be the only shop I bring my car to. read more

these guy's are the best, the good reviews here do not lie, customer service was amazing, friendly staff, prices too good for the work I wanted to do I didnt even bother to try to haggle,..very affordable, they even managed to get my car done the same day, when i dropped it off at 1:30pm, i have never been to a shop that has exceeded my expectations so much, i will only go to these guys from now on. Based on the diversity of the cars in the lot, ranging from trucks/vans, Euros, domestic, tuner, and even some muscle cars..these people know what they are doing. Highly satisfied customer. read more

I moved to the area a few months ago and needed to find my go-to automotive shop. Eric's had great reviews and is close by so thought I'd give it a shot and I'm so glad I did! First, prices are very reasonable and they do not try to upsell you even when there are opportunities to do so. Second, I have been here twice so far and it has never been difficult to get in right away. But last, and maybe what I like most is that it feels like a neighborhood shop where people know you, not a factory big brand that pumps people in and out. I realize that by sharing this I run the risk of this gem getting even busier and harder to get into but these guys deserve the business. Good people! read more

Thank you for opening your doors. Honest, friendly and efficient. I took my Volvo to a local Scandinavian specialist, and he wanted $160 just to lift the hood and it would not apply to the work. Ericson had it diagnosed and fixed for $90 out the door. We kept going back after that. read more

My friend had a problem with his AC not working. Long story short, they told him it was an actuator problem and that he needed to buy the part to fix the issue. They said they checked all the fuses. This was a lie. Turns out the problem wasn't fixed and my friend took it to another shop. Guess what.... It was a blown fuse. So he spent $260.00 for a .20 cent fuse. This place will rip you off!!! read more

The most honest mechanic I've ever dealt with in my life. My brake light went out, and another shop said it needed a complete re-wiring to fix. Came to Eric's....he opened up the housing unit, and just tightened up the fuses/connections inside, and it was fine. Charged my $20, and made my day. This place is very busy during the days, so best bet is to get here right at opening, or else there is usually a bit of a backlog read more

Eric and Tony are awesome mechanics.... They're quick, affordable and honest! I've had a few repairs recently; My check engine light came on late one day and I drove straight to Eric's shop, Tony ordered the part and had it fixed by the next day! I also had to replace my water pump and once Eric repaired everything, I paid less than his original quote.... he stated i didn't need to replace the spark plugs yet (or something like that, I don't remember exactly what it was).
