Dan rocks! He's always accommodating and helpful, and accurate in diagnosing repairs that need done. His prices are always fair also.

Too expensive. Go to Highline repair around the courner, it's half the price of Community Auto.

Out of the Les Schwab Tire stores that I visited, Burien has the most professional and courteous staff. Lynnwood is a very close second. Lake City--hit or miss, depending on how busy. Edmonds--NOT! Four of the six bays are chained off, and even a tire rotation takes two hours. UNDERSTAFFED. Shoreline--again, hit or miss, depending on who is manning the counter. Kenmore--the lady behind the counter got mad because I interrupted her lunch, which she was eating in plain view. AVOID.

I paid for what they told me was new rotors, calipers, and brake pads - paid an excessive amount of money for it. Now a year later, they say I need that work again and that it has never been done. After being so frustrated with the shoddy work, I went to a different mechanic. He asked me where I got my brakes done. I told him Les Schwab. He laughed and said that they used Loctite on the bolts and he couldn't use the gun to get them off, and had to do it manually. I told him my horror stories and they said "yeah, we hear that a lot." He also confirmed my suspicions that I didn't need all of the work that Les Schwab said I did. He did actual quality work on my brakes, at a fraction of the cost Les Schwab quoted me, and I haven't had to go back every 3 months like I did with Les Schwab. Do yourself a favor- DO NOT GO TO LES SCHWAB. Find a mechanic instead. You'll save money and get quality work.

Today, I went in with a low pressure front tire and found that there was a small piece of metal in my right front tire. They repaired it permanently at no charge. they give a lot of service away for free so I don't think I should be too picky about paying for a new set of tires. I have had great service at both Burian and Federal Way.

TL;DR - Took over two weeks to get a set of working tires on my vehicle…read more I had asked a bunch of friends and coworkers where to get tires, mostly because I've had issues with other shops in the past. Several people told me to go to Discount. It started with me calling and asking about an appointment and type of tire. I gave the guy on the phone the specs of my existing tire, and he suggested one that didn't match the size because my current tires aren't factory spec. It felt like he wasn't listening to me and was more interested in getting me off the phone. He very specifically said that internet orders and appointments get prioritized. Since I couldn't get any real answers on the phone, I went down a rabbit-hole learning about tires. I found what five different experts agreed was the best tire for the things I wanted with the size that I currently had. The Discount Tire website also only wanted to show me the stock tire size for my vehicle, and I had to just go look at tire by size to find the ones I wanted. I was pleased with the price matching process, and that saved me a little bit of cash. Once my price match was approved I went and purchased the tires online and scheduled an appointment. First appointment - Tires are put on vehicle. It take a bit longer than the hour and 15 minutes they said it would. The drive home was fine, but the next day any speed over 40mph and the steering wheel shakes like a paint mixer. So I call and get another appointment for the next day. (Also, the gratuitous upselling attempts are off-putting. "Do you want new windshield wipers today? Did you purchase our optional certificates for your tires?") Second appointment - Another hour and 25 minutes and I'm told that three of the tires are unbalanced and cannot be balanced appropriately and that they're going to have to order replacements. I'm told it should take 2-3 days to get those replacements. It ends up taking six days. During this process I'm told that Firestone generally has problems and they don't deal with them often. The replacement tires had to come from a non-Discount Tire warehouse. "I don't know, I just click the button. I can't control those guys." Third appointment - Another hour and thirty minutes. Replacement tires are put on. Immediately go on the highway to test. Tires seem fine. So ultimately it took two weeks to get a set of working tires on my vehicle. I got Zero assistance in selecting a good tire. I don't know how they missed the tires being unbalanced when they first put them on. There were times when it seemed like their wires were crossed. I was actually asked if I was supposed to be paying anything when the bad tires were replaced. The people were all pleasant enough, but I guess I just expect better service when I'm spending more than a grand on something. I'll probably find somewhere else to get tires next time.

I was able to get the job done earlier than the expected time which is always a good thing. They are miracle workers there! Highly recommend them. I made a huge mistake taking it to another auto body shop to switch out my grill and the first place I took it too did a shitty job. Leaving my hood with a big gap between the bumper and hood not only that my hood could not open and the warning light would not go off warning me my hood is open when it's locked and unable to pop open. I should have checked with Brian first it's something they could have done without all the hassles. Lesson learned! Got my full refund from the shitty first place and took to Brian and they confirmed it's a job they can do. Scheduled the apt drop off and pick up 5 hours later and I was so impressed with the job. They know what they are doing and they will be up front if they can or cannot do the job instead of giving you false hope and dealing with trying to get your money back. **** highly recommend! Go and see Brian or Carlos they know whats up.
