I have not bought tires in 7 years because I bought a new car but these guys rotate my tires at no charge and check the tire pressure any time I need it. Today, I went in with a low pressure front tire and found that there was a small piece of metal in my right front tire. They repaired it permanently at no charge. they give a lot of service away for free so I don't think I should be too picky about paying for a new set of tires. TL;DR - Took over two weeks to get a set of working tires on my vehicle. I had asked a bunch of friends and coworkers where to get tires, mostly because I've had issues with other shops in the past. Several people told me to go to Discount. It started with me calling and asking about an appointment and type of tire. I gave the guy on the phone the specs of my existing tire, and he suggested one that didn't match the size because my current tires aren't factory spec. It felt like he wasn't listening to me and was more interested in getting me off the phone. He very specifically said that internet orders and appointments get prioritized. Since I couldn't get any real answers on the phone, I went down a rabbit-hole learning about tires. I found what five different experts agreed was the best tire for the things I wanted with the size that I currently had. The Discount Tire website also only wanted to show me the stock tire size for my vehicle, and I had to just go look at tire by size to find the ones I wanted. I was pleased with the price matching process, and that saved me a little bit of cash. Once my price match was approved I went and purchased the tires online and scheduled an appointment. First appointment - Tires are put on vehicle. It take a bit longer than the hour and 15 minutes they said it would. The drive home was fine, but the next day any speed over 40mph and the steering wheel shakes like a paint mixer. So I call and get another appointment for the next day. (Also, the gratuitous upselling attempts are off-putting. "Do you want new windshield wipers today? Did you purchase our optional certificates for your tires?") Second appointment - Another hour and 25 minutes and I'm told that three of the tires are unbalanced and cannot be balanced appropriately and that they're going to have to order replacements. I'm told it should take 2-3 days to get those replacements. It ends up taking six days. During this process I'm told that Firestone generally has problems and they don't deal with them often. The replacement tires had to come from a non-Discount Tire warehouse. "I don't know, I just click the button. I can't control those guys." Third appointment - Another hour and thirty minutes. Replacement tires are put on. Immediately go on the highway to test. Tires seem fine. So ultimately it took two weeks to get a set of working tires on my vehicle. I got Zero assistance in selecting a good tire. I don't know how they missed the tires being unbalanced when they first put them on. There were times when it seemed like their wires were crossed. I was actually asked if I was supposed to be paying anything when the bad tires were replaced. The people were all pleasant enough, but I guess I just expect better service when I'm spending more than a grand on something. I'll probably find somewhere else to get tires next time. read more

I have purchased all my tires from Discount Tire in Burien for over 20 years. The service has always been very friendly, reasonably fast, and very efficient. Last week one of our cars had picked up a screw. The car is only one year old and still has it's original set of tires. Despite the fact that we did not purchase the tire at Discount, they repaired it for free. Of special note what the gentleman who assisted us, John, who was very friendly and professional. I have had some positive experiences at this Discount Tire location, so I can't completely write them off but I am FURIOUS after yesterday. I just bought these tires from this location on 4/24/2025 and they have a 70,000 mile warranty, cost me $800 installed. I got there around 4:15pm. I waited approximately 15 minutes just to talk to the guy at front. I got my car back at 5:50pm, 10 minutes before closing. I told the gentleman at front, Gage, that my tire pressure light was on, and my pressures (checked at work, cold) were 26 (driver front) 28, 28, and 30 (passenger rear). My passenger rear tire was missing a stem cap, and Gage said they could add one. My car's label says 33psi, my manual says 35psi. The invoice from Discount Tire says oem 33. I said I wanted them checked for leaks, filled, and rotated. He said sure, but it might take 1.5-2 hours, did I want to wait that long? I said yes, and sat down. Cut to 5:50pm, when my keys were brought back to me. I asked the person specifically, was there anything to note or that I needed to know? She said "no" and handed back my keys and left. The invoice from Discount Tire says "FREE ROTATION AND REBALANCE" and below it says "-roto bal and air check". I got back in the car, drove home, and everything was fine - until THIS MORNING. THE VERY NEXT MORNING - when my light came BACK ON. I checked my tires again (after being parked 1-1.5 hours) - 31 (driver front), 29 (passenger rear, with new stem cap), 30, 30. It doesn't appear that the tires were rotated, it doesn't appear they were refilled - certainly not to 33psi. It doesn't appear they actually checked them for leaks. If they DID refill them to 33psi and they lost 3lbs of pressure OVERNIGHT then there is a much bigger problem they didn't think to even mention... so SOMETHING that they claimed to have done, wasn't done. And it's possible that if I check them again cold, they'll just be very low. Which could also mean I'm driving around on low tires for even longer than I realize? No matter what, now I have to deal with this problem AGAIN. If I had waited 15-30 minutes yesterday, and the problem came back, I would've been annoyed but not nearly as angry as I am after being there for almost 2 hours (approx 1.5 hours working time, nearly 2 hours out of my day), and having it appear that nothing was actually done. My friend noted that it says "air check" - not "inflate". But if they checked and saw they were low, why on earth WOULDN'T you then inflate them to the proper pressure?! Even if there was a problem with my sensor, it doesn't explain why they wouldn't be reading 33psi now with the physical gauge. I'm so angry I don't know if it would be better for me to risk going there again and wasting time for them to do NOTHING or if I should just go over to Marty's or Poblano's who will check my tires for leaks, inflate them, and I'm in and out and on my way. I was immediately suspicious when the worker delivered my keys back to me and had NOTHING to report, but I figured maybe they just needed to be refilled due to time. But this doesn't look like that. read more

For context, I had a full set of 4 new tires mounted elsewhere the day of this review. That's $850 that *was not spent at this store*. My issues were not their issues. But I had a full set of tires installed, and got on the highway to go home, only to second guess everything about my choices due to some heavy vibration. My commute is relatively short, so I made it the rest of the way, and pull into the Burien location. I check what I can, it looks like I'm missing weights on a wheel, so I have an idea of what's happened, and I pop in to see if they can help. Y'all... they were SO helpful. I didn't intend to get the manager, but that's who helped me, and he brought me right in. Pointed out some potential flaws, got his hands dirty, and rebalanced my wheels. I guess the first shop either forgot, or just didn't go about it correctly. But Burien got me properly settled, made sure I was taken care of, and made sure the other shop took care of me. 10/10 would recommend. Anyway I'm like it was flat, how could there be nothing wrong w/ the tire. Kid said he'd ask the technician who worked on it then come back and gives me the key & says it's ready, I go out there and noticed ir was still flat. W.T.F told the guy and he shrugs. Their new "safety policies" are nothing more than a push to sell tires to unknowing people. When they looked at the tire with a small nail in it they said "it was too close to the sidewall and it would be unsafe to plug it." This is a 31x10.50x15 mud tire on an old jeep and the nail was clearly in the tread lug, well away from the sidewall!!! When I declined to buy a new tire I asked if I can put some air in it and he said to pull over to the air station and he'll have someone fill it. The tire-filler-upper guy plugged their super high-tech air filling machine on my tire, and it didn't work! Turns out he can't pump air if the tire is below 15psi. (mine was at 12psi. I checked it myself because he didn't have an air gauge.) REALLY??? ARE YOU KIDDING???? CAN'T PUT AIR IN A TIRE BECAUSE IT TOO LOW? My wifes Jeep is due for new tires in about 6 months and she wants new wheels too, including the spare. Guess what, when I buy her $3000 wheel/tire package it'll be anyplace but discount tires. read more

My daughter had a blow out shredded tire on I -5 enroute to Burien. The tires installed at Vancouver Discount Tires had certificates.So I called Burien to ask about the warranty.The woman representative on the phone pulled up our account and promptly said she would hold a new replacement tire.Despite 25k wear the new tire was free with a modest installation cost. My daughter said the Burien staff were exceptionally courteous,helpful and knowledgeable. The new manager, Christopher, helped me out in a major way: just bought a used car. Tire was low so I pulled in for air. The air pressure was so low the machine wouldn't fill it. Turns out the tread was way below Lincoln's head and all the tires were unsafe (I hadn't noticed in the dark). I had only $150 to my name and needed 4 new tires! Christopher performed a miracle & found me tires, had them installed in 20minutes and got me out the door for $135! I called up months later to pay off the balance I thought I owed on the price of the tires and was told it was paid in full. I took a loan from my 401(k) to pay these off and it is a "Christmas miracle." Thank you, Christopher, for truly caring for people. When I managed a Sears, the best advice I was given is: a customer is someone who wants to exchange money for goods and services, not try to get something for free. Came in for a flat tire that could not be repaired, and unfortunately had to get a whole new set of tires since the car has AWD. Juanito worked with me to find tires in my price range, and was super helpful and friendly. I got there near the end of the day, and they were a little backed up, but we got the tires swapped out and I was out of there pretty quick anyways. I always rave about this specific location, super friendly and so fast. My tires were acting weird yesterday and it felt like I had a flat so I knew it was time to take it in. I was using another place before out of conveniences but honestly didn't really care for how they treated me; always trying to sell me on thing I didn't need. I made an appointment and called them as I needed to be at work before my scheduled appointment time. They got me in first thing in the morning and my front tires were in horrrrible condition. The other place I was going to told me I needed an alignment but come to find out it was my tires, glad I didn't go with the other place. I came in with a bent rim which was replaced quickly upon arriving at Discount as soon as they opened. Service was great and they had me out quick. I came back after a few hours when I realized the TPMS was not resetting. They quickly tested the tire, finding a small hole and replacing the tire for me after apologizing quickly for having to have me come back. Bryan was incredibly sweet and quick to resolve the issue as my tires are only 3 months old. He reassured that my warranty would be maintained and got me a new tire quickly. His customer service was top notch and I appreciated his kindness after a long start to the week. Will definitely recommend this location and Bryan for their quick and kind customer service!! I had an excellent experience when I went in to get some new tires. I did not have an appointment but I called ahead at 3:30pm and the person said they didn't have appointments left but if I came in as a walk in they would be able to take me today. The rep who checked me in, Chris, was very professional and looked at my tires was able to help me get the right ones, and I was able to get all 3 tires within my budget when I was only planning for 2. They were honest and did not try to upsell me on extra services and they stayed after close to finish my vehicle. I was very impressed and will definitely go there for future services. read more

Tires were on 1 in the front and 2 in the back and got me in the same day for a Michellin warranty inspection and then replaced all four tires with a small discount since they previous were under the mileage warranty. Loved how it seemed like all these guys were genuinely interested in helping each and every customer that came through. If I could give a zero I would! My husband was the one who got his tire repaired and replaced. I feel so pissed from what he told me. Your store "manager" is horrible at customer service. If you think she is representing your company, she isn't. She did not apologize on your behalf. Her apology was to just smile and not acknowledge the problem. She kept making excuses. First they tell my husband they patched the tire. Then overnight the tire was flat again. Clearly not repaired and they had the nerve to tell him there were now 5 new nails in the tire! Overnight in less than 5 miles away. Obviously they couldn't fix it and ordered a new tire. They didn't contact him that the tire arrived after waiting for 5 days with no call or status until my husband called. They said oh yeah, it's ready. Thanks for the notice! My husband went there today to complain and got no response or apology from your store. He was obviously upset at the service he got. As anybody would. Then your rude customers proceeded to harass my husband while he was complaining to your employees. Telling him to not talk to your employees that way. It's none of their business. He dropped his wallet and the customer said well that suits you! What the hell is that? No one was helping him and then he gets harassed because of your idiotic employees! It was a snowy day and I was going in to get my tire pressure checked. They refused to remove the tire valve caps and told me to do it myself even though the spot I was at was dangerously slippery/slushy and was safe and dry where they were. Bikers Beware! Yeah it's hit or miss with most places I've been to. This in particular was a disappointing exchange. My problem: My tubeless motorcycle tire had found a screw to be friends with. Their problem: Company policy restricts the service of motorcycle tires no exceptions. Read: We've been sued before and we wish to minimize it to cars. Work needed: A tire plug. That's all. A repair, monkeys could teach grapefruit to perform (we won't talk about how I didn't have any on me that day. Bad bike karma) Possible solution? Sell a few and tell me to hike or make me sign a waiver before I get on your rollercoaster friends! Now. Lawsuits are our reality. Further you can't blame the 3 different staff members who denied service because they don't want to walk outside the line. However, on a local business perspective this transaction or lack thereof seemed indifferent to a previous loyal customer. No solutions were offered and an outright refusal on the grounds of endangerment doesn't make any sense either. Sending a feller on his way with a wheel touching the ground is just hand washing. It demonstrated the confidencece held in their techs to do a simple task and left a patron flat and out in the rain (literally) Takeaways: This particular shop will be more inflexible than most and the Les Shwab on 4th Ave in Seattle is a pretty neat place. read more

I show up 5 min early and called the store to let them know I've arrived and parking in the front. They told me to wait in my car and someone will check me in. By 3:30 someone comes to my car checks me in and tells me to wait again for a tech to get my car. By 3:50 I call the store from my car to see what's going on they tell me there's another car in front of me? By this time I've run out of patience and left. Arrived 3/3/23 at the store with screw in the tire wall and leaking air. Kevin Le associate quickly assessed the damaged, temporally patched the tire and ordered a new tire(old tire was still under warranty) from another store that was delivered that evening. I've been to a different Discount Tire before and had a great experience, so when I noticed a slow leak the other week, I made an appointment here for a repair. We're almost 3 months in to the COVID-19 pandemic so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Discount Tire had a small space coned off as a low-contact check in area, where I waited inside my Grand Cherokee. Eventually, Ian came out. After greeting me, he asked if I was Allen, and said I was just in time for my 2:15 appointment. Ian was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and and when I asked about how long the work would take, he said typically less than an hour, could be as many as two if things get really chaotic. He stressed this was definitely unexpected, though. He indicated a tent outside with chairs (one chair) and asked for me to move my Grand Cherokee over to the side until a tech was free. Promptly at my appointment time, someone came by and explained I was to drive my own car in to the bay he indicated and they'd do the work without getting in my vehicle. This was great news to me because I was wondering how this was going to go while keeping germs to a minimum. I settled in outside for what I was prepared to be two hours. 25 minutes later, it was done. The tech explained the findings and the patch that they'd done and commented all four tires were good to go for a number of years yet. I hopped in my Grand Cherokee and off I went. Discount Tire provided a great, completely contact-less visit during this pandemic and I am very grateful for how they've adapted to changes while maintaining a customer first attitude.
