Hunter was the only CSR on duty. He let a pack of shady young-bucks park their 2 cars without front plates in the Disabled Parking stalls, thus hiding their rear plates. OFC the customer slots are full of some-ones' cars, so is the yard. Asked about it and he doesn't really care, "they will be gone in a minute" as the machine keeps failing to accept Y-B's card. Then young-buck starts throwing attitude and juvenile intimidation that rules don't apply to him. Then comes the intimidation from the young guy, but a F-u in response makes you the bad guy. it gets ugly from there, try to document the situation and they suddenly want to hide their plates and faces. Nothing says guilty like that. bad behaviors is bad behavior no matter who. they started to scatter when pictures to document the situation started happening. read more

Brought in my SUV for suspension noise. I worked with Jesse, who did a great job. Found out the struts, control arms and end links were worn. They did a complete vehicle check and showed me images of a few other areas that needed work, but for this visit, only the suspension work was done. I came here twice to get my alignment done. The employees are very informative and respectful. They made sure my vehicle was properly aligned. One thing that I do appreciate the most is that one of the employees told me that my left inner tire rod needs to be replaced soon. I don't think I have had any shops tell me that something is going to wear out. I really appreciate that a lot. Although the drive for me is really far (Oak Harbor to Burien), I would make the drive to make sure the car is properly taken cared of. A tire that I had purchased at another Firestone Complete Auto Care had punctured, and the people at the Burien location were absolutely terrific in assisting me with replacing the tire through the warranty. Yikes! I tried this location when my check engine light came on. I'm understanding about labor shortages and other issues we've all experienced with the pandemic but the person in the shop just straight up turned me away because "the guy who does that is out with Covid." They couldn't even run a code and let a person know if it was a critical error without the person who does the mechanical work? Why are you open if that's the case? Nonchalant and just straight up no concern about how ridiculous it is to not be able to read a code. Every other service counter agent at all other Firestone locations can use the scanner. What a goofy way of doing business and not caring that people will never bother with your location again. read more

Had an issue with the front suspension, they squeezed us into a busy schedule and discovered a bad wheel bearing.

Be careful, if you have a wheel lock on your car don't bring it here! You'll get a cracked windshield because they don't know how to take off a wheel lock and blame a rock from the main road that "cracked" your windshield!!!! I brought my car to get 4 new tires and when I got it back there was a big crack on my windshield I left my car overnight and drove back to the location because I forgot to give them the wheel lock key so next day they called said my car was ready picked it up and saw a big crack on my windshield. I called them asked if someone dropped something on my windshield, Alex said no and proceeds to say the only thing he can think of is a rock from the main road might of cracked it but that doesn't make sense because then they wouldn't park customers cars by the main road because then they'll have a bunch of claims. Got home and the end of my wheel lock aligns with the crack! Tried to call them back twice but of course no answer so I decided to file a complaint and that was denied! It's pretty ridiculous that they treat their customers like that after paying them your hard earned money! I'll never come back to Firestone! read more

Went here to get my tire patched. They didn't seem that busy but took over an hour! The nice thing is they have a TV to keep you entertained, and coffee if it is earlier in the day (I came an hour before closing so there wasn't any coffee). I had a huge mess this morning that involved a rock roughly the size of a baby's head and a tire. The nice people at Firestone in Burien saved my day. Roberto and Justine were AWESOME. They let the air out of my tire, used a crowbar to wedge the rock out and then put air back in the tire - at no cost. They simply wouldn't let me pay or tip them. They did this all at a moments notice and with a smile on their faces. I am so thrilled with the work that they did - that they have earned the right to all my future tire needs. Called at least four Firestone locations today just to get an oil change, my own fault for waiting too long but this location was the only one that could get me in same day. Boyfriend dropped it off while I was at work and we made it 10 minutes to close. I felt REALLY bad cutting it so close, but Hunter was an absolute GEM of a human. Unfortunately my car was stuck in the garage for a bit but Hunter and Donovan were AMAZING about figuring out a plan and getting me back on the road. The store manager Jen was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had a flat tire after driving from Los Angeles to Seattle. This store was the only one opened in Sunday around us. She took us in and the tire was patched in no time. However, she went through all the tires wear pattern and recommended a rotation to make sure all the tires will be worn out evenly, since there's uneven wear on the tires. She also gave great recommendation for what to do with our GX470 with beefy off-road tires, and found a Firestone store near where we live In Los Angeles and transfered the information, including a $40-off coupon to be used. Went in to get my tires changed after my mechanic pointed out that they were significantly worn where I couldn't see. I spent all morning pricing tires at Sam's Club, Costco, Discount Tires, Les Schwab, and a couple other local places. Firestone tied Discount Tires for the cheapest tire in my size much to my surprise. I called ahead to make sure they had the tires in stock and they did! Before I dropped the car off they did a visual inspection to check out my current tires. They confirmed that they were worn and that they had the tires I wanted in stock. I left the car with then for a few hours and waited for the call that the car was done. Saturday is a busy day at Firestone, and a shorter work day than the others. It took them 2 hours to get to my car, and a couple hours later my car was ready. The price was exactly what they had quoted me at the beginning. Nice! The new tires drive SO much better than the old. I can finally speed without my car shaking! I will be back in next week for an alignment. I would have done it today but I need to get some parts replaced before that can happen. PS- these guys do alignments for cheaper than Les Schwab. read more

The whole experience felt like I was being scammed. Set up everything online, got an out-the-door price and an appointment confirmation, but nothing went as planned upon arrival. Surprise, the tires I ordered were not available, was supposedly upsold a better set for the "same price ", then lo and behold those were no where to be found either. Upsold again, at this point I just want tires, so, yes I agree. I call 5 hours later and a rude lady answering the phone laughs loudly when I inquire about my vehicle, tries to put me hold but disconnected. Long story short, when I pick up my vehicle, the original tires I ordered before the double upsell are on it and they charged me $70 more than the online out-the-door quote. I can't begin to tell you how bad my experience was. It all started when I wanted to patronize a local biz. I was treated very well when I first dropped the off the car for a simple oil change. I asked if it would be possible to call me if they could not get to it that evening and they said, "No problem". Well they didn't and when I scared up a ride to check it out, there was car, locked inside for the night. *sigh* When I called the next day, they were very apologetic...these things happen. BUT, after I pulled away from picking it up and caught the smell and saw the smoke that was coming from under the hood, I was less than pleased. I turned right around (I was only 2 blocks away) and it turns out that someone had not secured the cover well enough so the oil was spewing out on the engine and burning off. Again, they were very apologetic and this time gave me a free oil change. Nice, I guess. Fast forward 6 months when I find the coupon for the free oil change and, times being what they are, I made an appointment. Not only did did the simple oil change take 2 HOURS, but I got a blank stare when I asked for the estimate paper work I had requested (just getting an idea of price, not that I would get any work done there). What is so hard about an oil change and printing up something that was already in the computer?!?!?! Really, I think the management MUST have changed since the first review! read more

Just found out that I got taken by this business. The person at a well-known shop just asked me if I went to Firestone alone and when I said yes, he said they are known for taking advantage of women, first mistake. I went in on a Sunday evening at 5 as this shop was the only place open....mistake #2. I went in telling them that my daughter was about to drive back to school over the pass, #3. Many more I'm sure, but they told me the flat was not repairable and I needed a new tire. Of course it would be unwise and unsafe to let my kid go off on a donut so I bought the dang new tire at this shop's recommendation. Low and behold my daughter took the tire back to the place where she got the complete set in December and they showed her that there was really nothing wrong with the tire. They actually repaired it in 5 minutes so now she has a spare in addition to the donut. Lesson learned! We are sticking with the more trusted competition. These clowns over filled the oil on my E300 Mercedes, that caused it start leaking oil profusely from one of seals, never leaked a drop before being over filled with oil after they changed the oil. By the time I figured out what had been done the damage was done. Ended up having to sell the car soon after. I am so grateful for the service Firestone gives on each visit I've had with them recently. My car recently broke down on the Hwy and I called them to see if I could have my car towed to their shop. Jen agreed to stay late so that they could get my car inside, WOW! The next morning they called with all the info, they had all the parts, and were able to do a major repair and get me on the road by the end of the day. Then, a month later, they repaired a nail in my tire, pulled it out and patched my tire for free! They are a busy shop, so you may have to wait; but it's worth it because of the care they give to each customer. Firestone in Burien gets 5 stars from me....without question. My car has 56,000 miles on it and I've been concerned about brakes. I've had no pulling or squealing from the brakes but nevertheless I figured it was time and I needed peace of mind. I'm normally a Les Schwab kinda guy but on their website the earliest appointment available was two weeks out. (I think something must have been wonky with their site). So, I got on the Firestone site and made an appointment for first thing Monday morning. Upon arrival I was greeted by Jesse, who I think is one of the main guys there, told what I wanted, and received a quote that met my expectations. Since I live about six blocks from the place I walked home and came back a couple hours later when the work was done. When I arrived Jesse shared that my car brakes are disc in the front but drum in the back....which was news to me. The drum brakes are more expensive yet Jesse, of his own volition, honored the price of the original quote which was for discs in the front and rear. (Points awarded there). Then they mentioned my windshield wipers need replacing, a common upsell, but they were correct. Wipers for my car are an odd size, I haven't found them in a store, plus I quit working on cars in 1983 (that's a completely different story). Of course I said "Yes" and was pleased to be getting new wiper blades. After a few minutes Jesse advised that he had one set of wiper blades in stock for my car but found out they were damaged so he ordered some to be delivered, which should just take a few minutes. After a few minutes the blades had not yet been delivered so jesse went to his supplier himself and picked up the blades. (More points awarded). I've been going to Firestone for years, splitting services between Tukwila and the Burien location depending on how I want to burn the time while my car is being serviced. In the past I've always received good service and customer care. That all came to an end this week. On Weds evening I dropped my car off for an oil change. 30 mins later I received a call that the oil pan bolt broke and that they were going to replace the oil plan but would not be getting the part in today and would be providing me with a rental and that they could bring me the rental etc., the gentleman I spoke to apologized and stated they wanted to make this as inconvenient as possible etc. I picked my car up Thursday as the part was not in but they assured me that the bolt they used to secure the oil pan was good. I had not received a call back Friday or by Sat morning so I finally called Sat afternoon to see if the part came in. Apparently in came in Friday and I should have known. I was quite civil during all of this even though it was a huge inconvenience being that I had to pack my 2 kids Weds to take them to the rental place where it was at least 30 mins to get me out the door plus the annoyance of being upsold for insurance and what not all why my baby needs to get to sleep and is crying in her carseat. Then the following day I left early to return the car as it was my babies 1st birthday and I had family coming for dinner and cake that I still needed to pick up and prepare. After all was finally taken care of after dropping it off Sat afternoon at 130pm and not getting it back until 530 (I drove by at 4pm and my car was still on the lift when this service was suppose to only take 1 and half hours). I got my car and then they had the audacity to charge me. Of all the things up to this point I was not upset, I understand that these things can happen, I was trying to be patient but then they still wanted to charge me the $24 for the oil change. I understand that this is regular maintenance but what about the time I was inconvenienced with the back and forth, the unexpected sleepover of my car and the 4+ hours I was without my car on Sat, Seriously??? They said it was Tukwila Firestone's fault and made some comment about billing them after I was upset about being charged. But at the end I payed the $24 as they thought it was the right thing?? Really? Firestone is 1 brand from a customer stand point, I don't care if you have to spend your time calling whomever so that from a business view you get your fee, but I should not have been charged because you guys didn't think you were at fault. Keep in mind this is right after I was quoted $700 for tires for another vehicle that I had all intentions of bringing in the next week. So for $24 they have lost a customer for life because they wanted to play the blame game with another store that represents the same Brand. On their website they even promote One Team, One Planet- I guess not when it comes to their customers. I'm truly disappointed as this could have been easily avoided with a simple gesture of compensation. And they are not only losing my years of future service but potentially those that see this disappointing review and are deterred from using their services as well as my 5 vehicles that I bring there, my immediate family that know of this issue and anyone that I may speak to about this experience. read more

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. My car died late Saturday afternoon (9/7/13) and I had to have it towed to a service center. At that time it was obvious to myself, my husband and the tow truck driver that the issue with the car was that the alternator needed to be replaced. My car was towed to Firestone (15324 1st Ave S, Seattle WA) and we arrived about 5:30pm on Saturday evening. The man at the front desk was very helpful (although did not seem to know anything about the make and model of my car as he tried to convince me the problem must be a belt issue). He said he would contact me at 10am the next day. At that time we were very pleased that Firestone was open on Sunday and that the man seemed confident it would get done the next day. By 1pm on Sunday we had not heard anything, so we called. They stated that they had been trying to get the key out of the ignition all day but couldn't, also that they could not find where our battery was... the battery in a 2006 Chevy Cobalt is in the trunk, something I would think an experienced mechanic would know. They told us then it would not be done until Monday. On Monday, I again had not heard from them by 1pm so I called. They told me again that they were unable to get the key out of the ignition (I have NEVER EVER had this problem) so had spent all day doing that because, as the mechanic said, "I couldn't open the truck without the key". I asked "why couldn't you just use the truck pop?" The mechanics answer was that he couldn't find it. At that time, he asked if he could have another day to work on it. I told him that was unacceptable, he said he agreed and he would have it done by 5pm. It was not done till 6pm. They had my car for 48hours to simply put in a new battery & alternator... and they had all the parts in stock/the area. In the end, I had to pay over $700.00 for this because the mechanic spend so much time "trying to get the key out of the ignition" and was NOT given the 5% discount I was promised by Geico. I will NEVER take my car to Firestone again. Go to Les Schwab. read more

I've been bringing my cars here for years and never had any issues. My girlfriend took her car there and honestly I've never felt so ripped off on her behalf. Her car needed a new fuel pump, we were quoted $1600 plus. Upon getting there to retrieve the car her total came out to $2000 plus. So if your interested in having a common repair done for the price of a used car then I highly recommend them. I will not be bringing my Lexus or Toyota back to this place. read more

I had bought a battery from this store and after 3 months my battery had died twice. I noticed one of the cables was so loose you could take it completely off the terminal so I brought my car back and told him the cable was really loose. Initially he told me that they guarantee the battery but not the cables. I said after three months the cable clamp is so loose the battery doesnt start but that's my problem. So after awhile he came back and told me that it was really loose and normally it would cost $89.00 but he would eat half and only charge me $45.00. For one cable end. I said how about you eat the entire thing because it was shoddy workmanship to start. So he agreed to that but let me sit there waiting for it to be done for 3 hours. Then when I filled out their customer survey the same guy called me up which is not good business in my book. I told him I doubt he would have tried to charge a dude $45.00 for 1 cable clamp that was their fault for not being tight in the first place. He told me he was offended and the phone call was being recorded. Oh brother. The truth hurts I guess. This should have been a simple and easy fix. It's disappointing when you have to badger a business to do the right thing and stand behind their work. read more

First of all, when you call to make a appointment for three thirty and they pull the car in at five pm- I would think some sort of compensation would be in order- the guy told my my front two tires are illegal to drive on even though they are a year old- they are rude- dishonest and I will never step foot in this location again .
