During check-in on 4/7/26, frontdesk informed me that they do not stock Pennzoil, only High mileage and full synthetic oils. My scheduled $29.99 oil change has inflated to $70 (already with a $20 discount) before oil recycling and taxes; a 133% increase. Talk about "bait and switch" or "upsale". Crappy service, had my vehicle overnight, tires came in at 11:30am got call at 1pm telling me I need alignment, but I just had alignment done 1 month ago because we got tires at another shop. Got flat close by is why I came here. Unnecessary and the catch is if don't get alignment now they won't honor warranty on tires if ot wears ...even though tires are 75000 miles . ..basically paying total of $520... truly ripoff.. you only paying for a name if you come here.. also was told be an hr after contacted about alignment. I ce in 2 1/2 hrs.. 3:30pm I get here car is parked I think all done ..but No they took off rake and now it's going to be 45 more mins.VERY Disappointed in there customer service and there ways they snake you for more and more $$$ never again. read more

How you guys handle a simple flat tire repair is just bringing my expectation to the next dimension. The Hertz representative checked and confirmed with your shop that the repair could be taken care in 30 mins. When I arrived in the shop at 10ish, your staff asked me to drop off the car coz YOU GUYS DIDN'T KNOW HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE TO FIX A FLAT TIRE. Time flies and it's almost 6 pm now. And your staff just told me you can't fix it. So what the f did your shop keep the car for almost one whole day. Firestone was my savior when my plan to visit a local tire shop instead went awry. I had hoped my car's leaking tire could hold up for the less than 2-mile drive but unlike previously, when it stayed fully inflated for another local tire shop visit (albeit a stone's throw away) to fix the flat (eventually deemed irreparable), the tire completely deflated multiple times (as I kept re-inflating every so often along the way until it could not be inflated at all or at most 10 PSI, as I was concerned about overheating the tire-inflating air compressor). The tire finally gave up just when I was about 2 blocks away from Firestone, not the intended auto shop but happened to be on my cautious route on back roads. I had casually researched and arrived at the mistaken belief Firestone's tire installation fee would be more than average, while a local tire shop had excellent ratings and testaments of fair, affordable prices. Evidently the universe had something else in mind that Firestone should be my true destination. The reception area and frankly the entire service center were clean and immaculate, relaxing and comfortable with large square armchairs, a children's desk station and a tv. I was immediately greeted by Kevin, a soft-spoken and librarian-mannered (calm) service advisor, who guided me through a dire situation when I expected some miracle to magically switch out the flat with a new on the road. With his advice and reassurance, I forged ahead and managed to drive my car on a completely flat tire to the service center. Further, he was graciously accommodating to my requests without push back (though one request was declined but only after consultation with the auto techs that the other tires were well beyond their serviceable years; they're almost 19 years, though still of thick tread with low miles). Once the tire installation was completed, within 30 minutes as a walk-in, no less, of an estimated hour wait, Janai, the other service advisor, processed the transaction with such a warm and friendly manner, the dark cloud was lifted from the distress that gripped me that morning, as she wished me a genuine "safe drive." All in all, the personnel at this Firestone was a big plus in service, accommodation and attentiveness to the needs of the customer. You're guaranteed professionalism and courtesy at a minimum. As for the cost, what a pleasant surprise! Ended up the tire installation package was competitive with the likes of Pep Boys and Walmart, where Walmart might offer the lowest fees but it closed down its Renton auto center, leaving Federal Way as the closest option. Too far! I paid less than $20 for mounting, balancing and installation of the tire - less than $2 more than Pep Boys but far more conveniently located in a residential district. I had patronized one of the Firestone service centers in the past for my first car. Then I relied on dealers for my second car until I believed I was being scammed with recommendations of unnecessary repairs (second opinion by Pep Boys refuted the claim). I may have to revisit Firestone for my needs (at least with the MLK Jr Way center and the replacement of the rest of the tires). read more

I got a quote last week for $688 and today when I call before my appointment to check the price one last time before I drop my car off and the price went up. It's been hard to contact them and when I asked them to look up their other locations to see if I could get my car in sooner they told me to do it myself. I used to work at sprint if people wanted phones and needed them sooner then I could get a phone in I would help them find a location that had it, and direct them there. A tuneup was supposed to be done and a oul change and then they said it will be ready by the evening. We called at 5:45 to pick it up and they said it still isn't ready and we will have to try again tomorrow. I took my car to Firestone because I had check engine on, and after Firestone techs worked on it for straight 7 hours mostly shaking it up and down because some part that a roocky tech removed stuck in the engine compartment they returned my key with the check engine light still on after charging me around $1400 for labor and coolant replacement. And the coolant was lost spilled because the reservoir was busted from the bottom while the shook the car up and down. I complained to their hotline but all I've got was a call from Firestone sho manager to return the car to the shop and pay extra $900 if I need a fuel rail sensor they misdiagnosed replaced. A couple years back I bought a full set of tires, and a lifetime alignment service, from them. Service over the years here had always been good, no problems. The following year I brought the car in for a tire rotation and alignment. Before heading in I happened to check the tire size numbers on the tires and discovered that one of the four tires they had sold me was the wrong size. Such a mistake should not happen. I asked them to replace the tire, which they did. They asked if I wanted an auto check (fluids, air pressure, and so on) done. I said sure, why not. When picking up the car I was told that an oil change was needed (I had had one done just one week earlier at my usual mechanic) and that my cabin air filter needed replacement (my car does not have a cabin air cleaner), and they claimed they had topped off my washer fluid and brake fluids (which they had not). Their explanation was that the mechanic did not understand English. Nevertheless he was allowed to check off items on the printout showing work which he recommended and work which he had supposedly done. This is unacceptable and de facto fraudulent. read more

I got two tires changed here. They called me saying I needed a new rim. They quoted me $700 for a new one from the dealership and said I'd also have to wait for it to get shipped. I say no thanks. I come back with a rim that's the exact size for my car and the guy laughs in my face and acts like it's completely irrational that I brought a manufactured rim. Makes a whole scene. He starts telling me they won't be able to check my alignment now. Needless to say he was wrong and they were able to install it and do a check just fine. Absolutely ridiculous service. Don't go here or you'll be sorry. When they put tires back on some lug nuts were loose. Some were so tight I broke my 1/2" drive Craftsman ratchet trying to get them loose. My dad was a heavy duty Caterpillar mechanic for 40 years. I've never heard of breaking a 1/2" drive Craftsman ratchet. They are thieving liars from beginning to end and don't know what they are doing. When I left, I had a new softball sized dent in my drivers side back door, and they not only charged me full price for my services $98, they did not apologize ONCE, and the manager was a complete jerk. He said that they 'deal with this type of thing everyday.' And I said then clearly things need to change because I'm mad that I'm leaving here with a dented door and paying full price. His response was 'it doesn't happen everyday it's an exaggeration for dramatics effect. It happens probably every other day or weekly.' Low Trust. They were meant to do a check of a lot of items. I was surprised by the paperwork they gave me about the condition of my car. After asking a few questions, it was clear they made a mistake. Had to keep waiting why the person helping me up front had to go back and talk to the auto tech. She did it in a way that was totally unprofessional and not collegial. The whole situation got worse when they tried to convince me my a/c didn't work, but really the tech didn't know how to use my climate control. YIKES. Just save yourself time and go somewhere else. Driving through Seattle and found a screw in my tire. Called various Les Schwab stores throughout Seattle and they all had a two hour wait. Decided to call Firestone and they had the same wait but gave me an option to remove my tire and leave it there with them until they could get it fixed. In the meantime they would put on my spare, so we could enjoy rest of our day in Seattle. Zachary was the salesman there that helped us out and he was very helpful. I called and asked if they have the ability to install a fuel pump or ignition coil or the like. I said my truck isn't starting and I don't know why they said they can get most parts within two hours and I could get it installed in a day. I said I wanted to make sure as I need to have it towed there on my dime and that I thought they only did tires. There was a snow storm and a holiday and I was happy they were open. They said tires only is a common misconception I joked saying that I guess it's in the name of the business. "Firestone COMPLETE Auto Care" They said just bring it by and we'll get it fixed. When I got there I found out this location at the moment didn't have anyone on staff to diagnose my truck. I was upset because I just paid $160 tow to get it there. They said if they could figure it out they'd tow it to another Firestone fir me free of charge. Unfortunately or fortunately I'm not sure my Truck turned over and started up. They couldn't replicate my original problem. Strange as it was and also unsettling that I don't know why I couldn't start my truck for the past three days. I went to pick it up and there's a 5 inch scratch on my back door. They told me what ever happens on there lot is not covered. They said it was parked there all day. Even though It was test driven and looked over two separate times that day. I said that scratch is absolutely new it wasn't there before. It looks like someone scratched it then swiped it to see if they in fact scratched it. So I still don't know why I couldn't start my truck for three days and that's not at all on them although I wish I would have asked on my phone call if they did diagnostic work as I made a huge assumption that complete auto care meant exactly that. They were helpful and honest. But I'm still so pissed about this damn scratch and how it was in their possession and now I got a scratch that they seem isn't their problem. Turns out it was a $25 fix and I could have picked my car up within an hour! They didn't try to sell me on any other services and they called and gave me updates periodically throughout the day. My car is a 2002 Audi and people questioned me not taking to the dealership BUT this place was 100x better than any Audi dealership in the area in terms of price, service time, and professionalism! Brought my car in to have the TPMS sensors replaced in my brand new wheels - Jonathan Lennox was the service manager. Chose this place since they are a Tire Rack recommended installer. They stripped and broke multiple bolts holding on the center caps. Then they tried to blame Tire Rack for "gluing in" the center cap bolts. Finally, refused to fix the problem saying the "ran out of time " to deal with the situation. I left the place with 1 wheel cap completely off the vehicle due to stripped bolts and another wheel with half a sheared bolt stuck in it. Jonathan said that he would follow-up later, but there was no apology and/or actual plan to make it right. This place should be avoided at ALL COSTS! read more

Do not bring your car here! I have a 2nd vehicle that is pretty old. It did not pass emission test! :-( I was hoping to hold on to the wheels for kids at least a couple more years. At 10am I advised Jerry I had a ceiling limit of repairs for this car of $300.00, I showed him my test results he said he'd understood. Now the State of Washington has a rule, that in order to get a waiver (so you can get your tabs) you must spend at least $150.00 in repairs or research in order to qualify. At 3pm, I receive a call that $900+ was due!!! I nearly flipped! I said I was coming to get my car. When I go to get my car they said the cheapest REPAIR they could do was $500+. We've always gotten our tires here and while I agree this isn't the best place to take your car as far as a regular mechanic, for tires, they can't be beat. I've found they are always willing to work with you on their current specials and sales to make sure you get a good deal on tires. We even phone-shopped around and it was easily at or below any other pricing (including Costco) available. Add to that the ease of them just fixing your tires anytime they need it, as well as offering things like a lifetime alignment and DING DING DING, that's a real bargain, folks. I've found the employees here to be great, although it's not totally consistent, I've been coming here for 10 years, and I'd say that 90% of the time, it's excellent. TIRES! DO IT! read more

I started going to the Westlake Firestone because it was half a mile from my home, I stopped because of the Bro-mentality and general douchieness of this location. Here is the MLK version; these guys are all super nice, very helpful, and you don't feel like you're going to get screwed over because you're a woman. I live in SE Florida, my 22 year old daughter is in grad school in Seattle. Her brakes were grinding and it was clear she need service on her old Hyundai. Kevin and Michael were so kind, understanding, and fair in getting her fixed up I was very relieved. It is hard to find service, particularly auto service where you don't feel like you're getting ripped off, these guys were great. They diagnosed the brakes but also found a couple light bulbs out etc and took care of it all at a fair price and patiently explaining things to my daughter. Ugh, if I could cut this down to zero stars, I would. I went and got, not one, but TWO second opinions on the brake job that Firestone did. One was the dealer that I bought the car from and the other is from an independent shop. Both agreed that the materials used by Firestone are of deplorable quality, and thus still exhibit symptoms of worn out brakes. To Firestone's credit, both the other shops said that there's nothing wrong with the brakes and that they are good to go. Don't go to Firestone on MLK unless you are in a bind! Went in for a simple oil change for my infiniti G35 which I got quoted for $25 over the phone. When it was time for my bill, it ended up being $50. And they were going to charge me for a courtesy check. Wtf! It gets worst... Hours later, I get a call that they did a courtesy check anyway and I had all these issues with my relatively new car. $300 for a headlight, 200 for a battery. Which all together was $777 total for recommended services. Don't go here, they are upsellers. Go to pepboys on 4th instead, which are my go to guys.
