These guys are upstanding and helpful and fair, a rarity in the world of tires (and service in general). I had a slow flat from a puncture, and needed it fixed right away. After being turned down by three different chain tire branches AND the dealership where I bought the car - all of whom were far too booked up to offer assistance - a local auto parts place suggested JE Wheels. I pulled in without an appointment, and Eddie (the manager) offered to help right away! Not only did he have his crew fix it in 45 minutes, they only charged me $30 (it would have been free if I bought the tires from them). I also inquired about a recommended quiet all-season set of tires, and Eddie recommended a brand and his reasoning for it, giving the price per tire plus $25 install fee - which includes free rotation, flat fixes, etc. - and a 30 day return policy (for credit to another set)! I checked just to see what Amazon would charge for the tires and it was the same price! Plus you support a local business with good people. Well worth checking them out, thanks guys! read more

I brought my vehicle in for a flat tire. They said I needed a new tire "due to wear" even though the tires only have 5K miles on them. They also said that because the screw was so close to the sidewall they couldn't repair it. I went to the larger shop down the street, and they repaired it without any problems. read more

Recently under new ownership, and the new owners are amazing with customer service. I had my tires installed by the previous owner, and found out later that they sold me the incorrect size for my Honda Civic. Even though the new owners had nothing to do with the previous owner's mistake, they sold me a new set of tires at a massive discount to help fix the error. I felt like they took my concerns seriously and they did their best to make it right. read more

I've used JE Wheels in Ballard on 67th a few times for tire repairs and was always treated so well. Carlos and his staff are really welcoming and the prices can't be beat! I wasn't sure if they did body work though. I was in a major fender bender last week and didn't know where to go. I went by JE to just see if they could refer me somewhere in the area. First time customer at Pro Tire Ballard and came away with a positive experience, and plan to get their help on future car wheel/tire work. I shopped around for all weather (not all season) tires. The larger chain store down the road had a slightly more expensive estimate. Another shop further north on Aurora estimated a couple hundred dollars cheaper, but on further research (looked it up online) saw that they quoted me based on an all season tire despite having represented it as all weather. Decided to go with Pro Tire as they provided good customer service over the phone to understand my ask. There was some problem with getting the tires I was quoted. But at each step they kept me updated, and offered compensation. In the end, after a days delay, they rushed to accommodate my schedule and set me up with more expensive tires than I had ordered without changing the estimated cost, and got me on my way on time. They evaluated my car, offered very reasonable suggestions, and replaced my battery and fuses within the same afternoon. And it was so economical. These guys are great! I called about my front right tire on my Audi that had low tire pressure and they said to bring it the same day after work (they'd stay late to get a look at it). Carlos showed me that the tire had a bubble in the side-wall and needed to be replaced before I could drive the car safely. He got 4 new tires ordered and had them on my car by the next day! When I showed up for my appointment I had to wait an extra 45 minutes For them to tell me the tire cannot be repaired. I just came from JE and they fixed my tire in 15 minutes no appointment needed. I have been coming here for several years and have recommended them to a lot my family/friends but I will never return here again. The worst company I have ever dealt with. I had came in today to get my tires changed and they stole my wallet which had my ID all my credit and debit and they spent it on Fred Meyer which was 6 minutes away from this location in a 2hrs window. When I came back looking for it they were very rude and unhelpful. I'm very certain who it was SHAME ON YOU I will never recommend this place to anyone again. read more

Came to JE Wheels for a basic oil change...Conveniently close to our home, but upon arrival it felt as if they weren't expecting me at my reservation time. They took my phone number and told me it would be an hour or so--no big deal. Never received a phone call saying it was done which was a little goofy. $96 for a basic oil change seems on par with dealer prices, a bit excessive for a small shop. Get in my car to leave and my steering wheel, shifter and armrest are totally grimy and greasy. Didn't bother to reset oil notification either. Kind of a joke...go to Loyal Automotive. read more

These folks got me in immediately, quoted me a cheaper price than Tesla did for the same tires, and had me fixed up and out the door the next day. (I would have had to wait two weeks for Tesla to even look at my car!) Everyone I dealt with at the business was straightforward, helpful, and fair. They gave me an accurate quote for the work and were happy to nerd out about tires with me. (I do a fair bit of trail driving in my volunteer gig, so I care about snow performance.) This shop truly goes above and beyond for their customers. Not only do they provide quality service, but they sincerely care about helping to the best of their ability. On our way to the airport, I got a ginormous bolt stuck in my tire which caused a flat and I had no spare. Called about 4 chain tire shops and about 8 local shops. They all required appointment, kept me on hold, or couldn't help. JE WHEELS took my call in SECONDS. The receptionist was the sweetest lady. They took me in my state of emergency and got it done in the fastest I've ever been helped before, even though they were super busy! My tire size couldn't really be found immediately in stock anywhere but these guys were able to get there hands on one in NO TIME. They gave me an amazing price on the tire too! First time going in but it won't be the last. I had a flat and they were close by so I went in without an appointment. Selina provided great customer service from the start. They were finishing up with some other vehicles and it was near the end of the day but after seeing I only needed a patch they were able to squeeze me in and get it taken care of very quickly. I was out of there and on the road in maybe forty minutes. Gave some fair and honest suggestions on a time frame for new tires and maybe an alignment, but weren't pushy at all. I do not know as much as I should about cars and am always given the best advice and help from their employees. They always have patience with me and are never condescending. They were so quick to get me in as well as changing my tires (2) in an hour.
