ZERO STARS! I ordered my tires from Tire Rack, and this shop was the closest installer available. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible from start to finish. I waited nearly six hours just to have my new tires installed. During that time, it became obvious that the employee at the front kept pushing my appointment back to prioritize customers who purchased tires directly from their shop. To make matters worse, my car has a staggered tire setup, and the technician incorrectly installed one of the rear tires on the front. That's a basic mistake that should never happen, especially when working on a staggered setup. I absolutely do not recommend this shop. The poor customer service, excessive wait time, and careless installation were unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. read more

Late last summer I went into discount tire to look at one of my tires as it was slowly leaking air and if they could fix the hole if they found one. A 1/2 hour later was told that there was a hole but it was not fixable and that I needed to buy a new tire. And if I buy a new tire, I should buy 2 new rear tires due to the kind of car that I have that this is recommended to keep up with the high performance. I was working with Brian to get the best price for 2 new tires, then he was talking me into 4 new tires. I first agreed and he was ready to take my car back to the bay and get these new tires on. I was like HOLD UP, I'm not getting them today. However I kinda was feeling pressure. After 4 months and every month I was getting air put into my rear tire, I finally decided to move forward to 2 new tires. However, I am the type of person that will get a second opinion and to see if another tire store can offer me a better deal. So on my way to Discount Tire, I stopped at Les Schwab to see if they could find out why I was losing air in my rear tire. They checked it out and came back to me saying that I just had a small nail in my tire but they were able to patch the tire up and that all my tires had another 20,000 miles left on my tires. I was extremely grateful and left the store thinking wow, I can't believe that discount tires, a place that I have gone to for years, lied to me and tried to take advantage of me! Brian made me feel like I had to get my tires replaced ASAP. I am so disappointed in this place. I will never go back there again. And I will make sure that anyone who asks me about tires, I will tell them to stay far away from discount tires, they take advantage of any female walking into there store and they lie to you and scare you into buying tires that are not needed. I've been a loyal customer at this location for years and always had great service--until this past Friday. My car had to be towed here after nails punctured my tires. At drop-off, I specifically asked them to save the nails they found and to keep one of my older tires as a spare for emergencies. I even reminded them multiple times, and they assured me they'd leave notes for the service team and have everything ready at pickup. When I came back, both the nails and my tire were gone--they had thrown them out. I was told there was nothing they could do because "all the tires have already been picked up by another vendor." Their solution? Offer me $50 for a tire that cost me far more. After years of good experiences, this was incredibly disappointing and felt careless. read more

This is the worst Discount Tire I've ever been to. The quality of service is completely unreliable you never know if you are going to get someone competent or not. They left me stranded on my last visit because they failed to order the tire that needed to be replaced. I had to get a rental car to make it to work. I had a cracked rim that was causing a slow leak they offered to do tire swap for free after the new rim I ordered came in. At that point they said the rest of my tires were fine. I came back in two weeks later to do the swap they said they said they would do but all of the sudden one of my tires was too worn out supposedly for them to do the swap. They conned my wife into replacing 4 perfectly good tires in the past so this is a pattern for them. I asked once more for them to do what they promised to do the last time I came in a couple weeks ago the service guy ignored me and continued to try and sell me a tire. I asked for the key back and opened the door on the way out a bit to fast because my irritation level with the situation was at a 15 out of 10. I should note in the interest of keeping my review accurate corporate is supposedly going to cover the rental after I jump through all the hoops. We'll see if they do. read more

I had an appointment at 11:45am got here on time. Got my tires checked because one of the tire tread was bad even tho I just got them back in sept of 2023. They should had warranty it but no they just gave me a credit of how long I've had it for. The girl that helped me said it lol be done in 15-30 mins but it's been over 1 hr and they haven't even taken my car in yet. I would never purchase anything from here again nor give any of their locations my business. For most of my life, I'm team K-Sig. For tires, Discount Tire. And, there's reason for that. Costco's tire department can't compare. Found a screw in my stock bmw X5 runflats. Knowing that I'd have to either swap out two, if not four tires to keep the all-wheel-drive gods pacified, I could feel various sphincters contract as I looked up the price of replacements (of course I'd be switching to non run flats as I'm not a saidst and enjoy the smoother ride of traditional tires). I wanted my options. I drove around with a slight leak of approximately 2psi/day, topping it off as you would a fountain soda after the bubbles would dissipate after your initial fill. As long as the shiny screw sat in place, maybe this would be my new life. A life filled of air compressor fill ups before short drives, admiring everyone in their unpunctured automobiles whizz by, living a life unfamiliar with my daily burden. I'd take a gander at the screw, it would shine back, and we'd share two minutes of the day, just screw and I, listening to the soothing sounds of MC compressor. Alas, I snapped. I couldn't take it anymore. A week had gone by and the screw was giving me an awkward eye. Our relationship was stale and I began to feel the power shift. I you-tubed various videos and visited Reddit forums to figure out if run-flats could be patched. Turns out... they can. I began to prepare for the mutiny. I visited a favorite retailer based out of Seattle and ordered a run flat kit. It arrived. I would have to be sneaky. The screw had started to get comfortable in its new home. any sudden movements from my end to threaten our relationship could cause great harm to me. It owned me and we both knew it. I formulated a plan. The day would begin as many had in the weeks proceeding it. I ventured salmon fishing in the morning after our routine banter and coffee at 5 am. As MC compressor played a familiar tune, we gossiped about the rumblings of the day. Then fishing happened. Got back into the car and drove home. As I returned, I entered the abode still wreaking of fish. I palmed the repair kit and thought to myself. 'This is the day we take the power back.' I returned outside and grabbed the screw with my pliers. I heard a slight whine before a gush of wind came over me, tussling my hair every which way. Maybe I looked sexy from afar- like the famed Marilyn Monroe photo shoot. I struggled to patch the tire. The screw had its final revenge. My run flat exhaled its last breath and was indeed run aflat. I called Discount Tire and explained my plight while trying to minimize my awkward relationship with the screw. They said to come in. As I paced the lobby like waiting news from behind closed doors at a hospital, I wondered if I had brought enough lube for the uncomfortability that was brewing behind their 'testing.' Really appreciated the great service Discount Tire gave me when my tire was leaking air and my usual auto maintenance guys were taking New Year's Eve day off. I showed up without an appointment and was immediately welcomed and given a quick analysis. Waiting for a complete diagnosis took a little longer but soon they fixed a valve and didn't even charge me! But when I drove away my low-pressure indicator light was still on, and it turned out the battery in the sensor in a different tire was dead. It didn't take the mechanics long to replace all four sensors - I barely got to read a chapter of my book. Great experience from start to finish. I called a few places because one of my tires was leaking. First thing I noticed was how polite and helpful they were on the phone. When I arrived they were quick to check me in and inspect my tires. They called me shortly after to let me know that my tire was repairable (stem leak) and had it fixed within an hour. I had an oil change somewhere else which at the end of my service they made me sound like I'm this great wacko who had been driving with four ancient Flinstones' car tires. So afterwards, while passing by Discount Tire, I walked in to consult about my tread depth. I was assured that my tires were all still good and had a lot of lives left but one of them would need to be replaced in about 6-months or 2 years depending on how often/far I drive. The guy at the counter explained nicely to me the best way to get an appointment is to order the tire online, location-based, then make the appropriate appointment. Your appointment should be within 10 days after the purchase date. And he advised calling the store if I have a difficulty getting an appointment within that timeframe so they can help with earlier appointment. On their website, I found a quality All-Weather tire that I wanted at a great price. Wasn't too crazy about all the fees but that's to be expected everywhere else anyway. I arrived for my appointment, waited for my turn at the check-in counter, they took my keys and said that it should be ready in 30-minutes, 45-minutes max. You can check your progress anytime. When the installation was done (earlier than expected), I got a notification text. They gave me my key back and refused any tip. I was literally in and out. Easy peasy, pain-free. This pleasant experience echoed my previous experience with Discount Tire when I got a nail in my tire a little while ago. They patched it for free and I was on my merry way. You'll see a lot of customers looking bewildered and in disbelief when receiving their fantastic service and with no bill due. I mean honestly, in this day and age, it's borderline making us customers feel guilty like we're taking advantage of a good and honest business lol. I called and went to a competitor and unfortunately not even 16 mins before I got there during their opening there were already 6 people in line and 5 people after me. They told me patching the tire would take more than a day. I decided to give Discount Tire a call and they said to come over and see what they can do. He entered my info and then had me wait in the waiting room as he said it could be an hr before they will have it ready for me. They have a nest tracker that lets you know when you car is in the bay and being serviced. 25 mins goes by and Mitchell calls my name to let me know my car is ready and it was all patched up. If you're trying to decide whether to go with Costco or Discount Tire, go with Discount Tire... and I'm saying this because I ended up going with Costco. Let me explain: I urgently needed tires, and ordered them through Costco. The original estimate was 5-10 business days. I weighed the pros and cons of waiting, but Costco's price and quality of tires was above the competition (or so I thought), so I decided to go with Costco. Ten business days later after ordering the tires, they hadn't arrived. The shipping tracking number they gave me also didn't work. I ended up contacting Costco and after talking to them multiple times over the span of a week, they had seemingly lost the tires, and also didn't seem to be in a rush to resolve the issue. I won't go into all the details, but essentially, my tires didn't arrive until a month after I placed the order, and Costco's customer support was horrible. Towards the end of this whole Costco ordeal, I contacted Discount Tire via their online chat feature to see if they price matched. After a quick 10 minute chat, they confirmed that they could price match my Costco order, and beat them by $20. Additionally, the tires would be ready at the Discount Tire store in about a week. I was shocked. Not only did they beat Costco, the tires would be ready soon, and they were so friendly to boot. I was so close with going with Discount Tire, but a couple days later, Costco had my tires and they were ready to be installed. After not having a car for a month, and my partner having to take the bus to work due to that, I ended up going with Costco because we needed tires ASAP. That being said, I will definitely go with Discount Tire last time. They were so easy to work with. No parking. Jammed with customers. Parked in front of an open bay, told rudely to find somewhere else to park because they had "customers to get to." Um, hello? What am I exactly? Told go to park on street somewhere. I asked how they'd get my car in for service and was told "we'll figure it out." Uhhhhh...ok. Out of four kiosks, one staffed. One customer was in conversation with the single associate for an eternity. Told it would take AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTES to complete the job. Why bother with scheduling appointments weeks in advance if you cannot handle the customer load? Skip scheduling if you are overwhelmed with walk-ins (who should be deprioritized over those with appointments). UPDATE: After paying 1300+ for tires I came out to new tires covered in some kind of white glue, and all the air valve caps missing. Then, rude boy from before came out with some Mazda emblem asking if it fell off my car. Seriously, what is going on here? Why are they knocking car emblems off of vehicles? The Discount Tire store on Casaloma is the standard other businesses should measure themselves. This is such a departure from the type of service we all have come to expect. This store has a staff and service offering which is unmatched. When I arrived with the tire which was leaking, I did not expect much. The service I received was EXCEPTIONAL. I could see they had other customers waiting and asked if it were better for me to come back later. The guy at the desk, said if I came back a 4PM they would be able to take care of me. He took my information and away I went. When I returned, I asked about the timing of my repair. He checked the screen and found I was next in the queue, took my keys and asked to take a seat and they would be back with me. About 10 minutes later one of the most polite individuals came to me saying there was a screw in the middle of the tread and it was fixed. He said there was no charge and asked me to wait for him to bring my truck around. He pulled the turck up to the front of the store and explained the tire pressure sensor in the new truck I have would "learn" the pressure setting and it will show (0) pressure for a bit, but should be OK after a couple minutes. Sure enough, this is exactly what happened. A better experience could not have been experienced. read more

They price match! I got my pair of tires here after I got a flat. I didn't know I was supposed to park in the middle parking spaces to locate the host quickly. I tried to get them to price match Costco and even though their original price was cheaper than Costco, Costco's price for four was cheaper after fees. Given that I have read a bunch of good and bad reviews, I figured, I'd give this place a chance, after recommendations from my offline friends. I had a flat tire, due to a pothole, and needed just one replaced. I'm driving an All Wheel Drive, so normally if one goes, you need to replace all four, however given that my tires are basically new (thanks Covid for that... sarcastic), I figured I would just try for one. After calling, I was quickly handled from the phone side, and with 4 new tires heading to this location, with the intent that we were going to only replace 1.. assuming the other three were good. A few days later, when my special order tires showed up... I went in about an hour ahead of time to drop off the car. The wait inside was about 20 minutes to check in, but the associate there was helpful, and after confirming that I wanted just 1, we went outside and he poked the tires with a gauge... and determined that we should be just fine replacing just one. After verifying that it's the same tire, we came back inside, and I paid for the replacement and installation. They quoted the original end time, and my wife and I decided to head to a grocery in her car. I get a text shortly after I finished grocery shopping, that my car was finished. To be clear, I got there early, and they finished 45 minutes later, which was the original time I was to drop off the car. When I returned to the shop, the same associated greeted me, this time no line.. handed me my keyfob, and wheel lock.. and I was on my way. I had a good experience. Last time I will go there probably ever. Now before I went there the service was great the men were very nice checked my air in my old car tires and i was very satisfied so I went back for in this photo below what looks like a nail in the threading of my tire.... Why did this last dude have me sit there for two whole hours just to tell me they couldn't do anything about it because if they pull the nail out it'll affect the cords in my tires and stop air flow making it dangerous to drive on, TOOK MY TIRE OFF AND PUT ON MY SPARE, instead of checking the bottom/inside to see that THERE WAS NO PUNCTURE HOLE IN MY TIRE AT ALL!!! I bought some higher end tires for my 2018 Mini Cooper and the ride home was rough so I checked the air pressure and the tires were at 57, and 58 PSI yet only rated for 40 PSI max. After releasing 20 PSI the new tires had huge amounts of tire roll to the point of it being to dangerous for the freeway. Unfortunately I already put some miles on tires and waited to long to make complaint so I'll be eating the cost, so lucky I don't need to be on freeway. read more

Earlier in the week, I swung by--as I had done when I've bought tires from them before--but I couldn't find a place to park. After driving around for about 10 minutes, I drove back home, looked them up online, and noticed that I could order the tires I wanted online, and schedule an appointment at the same time. Pretty straightforward process, *if* you know what tires you want (I did). Unfortunately, the appointment was nearly two weeks out, and I really wanted the tires sooner than that. So I went by yesterday evening to chat with them about options, but had the same problem with parking and gave up. I woke up early this morning, found a spot on the street (their parking lot was already full), and went inside to find over a dozen people in line. It took about 30 minutes to get through the line. However, once I got to the counter, I told Leon--who had helped me in the past, and was a nice as ever--that I was hoping to get my tires sooner than two weeks out. He did a quick check, saw that the tires were arriving that afternoon, and asked if I could leave the car for the day. No problem with that at all. By the end of the day, I had my new tires, and I was a very happy customer. I think Discount Tires has remarkably good product, good prices, and good customer service. Their prices are quite competitive; same as Costco, where my mom was getting the same tires for her car. But, Discount threw in wiper blades, so ultimately, Discount was cheaper than Costco. (And my mom won't be getting her tires for at least 3 weeks!) I really only have two complaints: First, parking is dismal. That prompted me to come by multiple times. Fortunately, I live close, so it was possible. If I lived further away, I probably would have given up and went somewhere else. I found out *after* I got my tires that I could park in a neighboring lot. Would have been nice if I knew that *before* all my trips back and forth. Second, lines in the store and wait times are quite long. I don't think there's much they can do about the second: good product with low prices is going to increase demand. I think lines come with the territory. You just need to be patient. The first complaint, however, I think is addressable, and I knocked a star for that reason.
