I have used cascade wheel over the last 15 years and it has gone downhill and I will not be returning. I brought my 17 Inch wheel in to have a crack repaired. Just the crack welded. I came to pick it up and they grinded down the curb marks on face of the wheel which I did not ask for, now the paint/finish on the wheel does not match because they ground down the lip on the edge. I also found another crack next to the large crack they had repaired which was not there when I dropped the wheel off. They insisted they did not cause it but I inspected this wheel very thoroughly before dropping off and would have seen the smaller crack next to the large crack. I left the wheel for them to repair the smaller crack and was told they will have the painters try to match the paint color and spray the silver ground down areas. Upon pick up the 2nd time, the small crack was repaired poorly compared to the 1st crack repair, and they did not paint the ground down damage like they said, and the weld does not even have a finish applied over it like the larger weld does. The face of the wheel near the spokes also have damage now from the welding residue which I don't know how they even did that when the repair is on the inside barrel not even close to the face of the wheel. I will be going elsewhere for wheel repairs in the future. read more

I was quoted $1600 and some change to fix my rims rims come with tires on that Les Schwab and discount tire charge you $12 a Rim to remove the tire they wanted to charge me almost $190 more and that $190 lost this company over $1600 and some change why because you quoted me on a job gave me that quote you got the pictures you seen the rims and tires was right there quoting a person and then turning around telling them something different and they're coming with cash in hand, paying before the job is even done customer service, kind of rude. Had new wheels mounted and the guy that installed them f-ed up my nice aftermarket lug nuts. Which cost me another 70 bucks to replace them. On top of that he over inflated my tires causing my car to handle like shit going down the freeway. Anybody that does tires should know to look in the door jam for the proper tire pressure. Do not take your wheels here!! I hired these clowns to powder coat my 19" Nissan wheels and they did the worst job I've ever seen on a set of wheels. They didn't remove the adhesive from the old wheel balancing weights and just powder coated right over it. They also didn't preheat the wheels prior to spraying them, so they have severe outgassing/bubbles on the finish. There are also area's on the wheels were you can see the old finish of the wheels, they didn't fully coat them. When I complained to the owner "Nash", he was very rude, and then stopped returning my calls. I'm fighting them through my credit card company now. I would seriously avoid this place at all costs. I had 2 bent rims. I was quoted $165 before taxes. I was then charged $420, they then told me they "couldn't" fix the next wheel. Unfortunately after I was misquoted for work that wasn't even done. They then offered to sell me new rims for $800 read more

I got curb rash repaired here. It was ok. They tried a couple times to match the paint color, but it's still off. They also did not mention charging for mounting and balancing the tire and wheel upfront. I only found out afterwards. None of the other wheel repair places I've been to charge for this and they cost the same for the curb rash repair. Wouldn't be my first choice now and would only recommend if you can't go to a shop in Seattle or Bellevue. read more

Horribly unreliable. I brought my car in at 9:30am and was told it would be done in 3-4 hours. I called at 3:30pm since I hadn't been contact AT ALL and was put on hold for 10 minutes and then told their tech had left for the day for medical issues which I understand but at what point would I have been informed my car wouldn't be worked on at all? It sat in the same exact spot all day. We drove two cars an hour away to come here and hung around here all day in the area with two toddlers, which is extremely inconvenient, to find out it hadn't even been touched. read more

This is the whole story. It has a positive ending. Read on. Had never been here, but was recommended by my enthusiast group because one of our members works here. I showed up at 08:30 am and found the entrance on the backside of the building. The bay door was open, but no visible signs of life. I made my presence known and this short little prick came out of the back and greeted me with one of the worst attitudes I've experienced in a customer service environment. I said "hey, is JJ here?" To which he snappily replied, "No. He doesn't show up until 9 or 9:30". To this I replied, "So, do you want me to come back?" I asked him this because I could feel his disinterest in me being there. Even if I was looking to pay for their service. About 5 minutes later another fellow, Eric, arrived. Really nice guy, immediately looked at my damaged wheel, told me the prognosis and the cost. Definitely knows his stuff as he answered all of my questions. JJ shoes up a minute later and helped me get my wheel off and my spare on. 27 hours later, the wheel was done and I was happy. Big thanks to JJ and Eric! What happened to the short douchebag? I found out that he is THE MANAGER. BOO on that. Amazing shop. A little hard to find but if you follow the signs, it's on the right down the hill. I called in and got a quote/set up an appointment, and brought my car in on a Monday to have my wheels powder coated. They do everything related to wheels and tires so I didn't have to separate my wheels from the tires and car, I dropped the whole car off. The guy at the front desk told me it could take up to the end of the week because of their large workload, but my car was done in 2 days. They did exceptional work on my car and quoted/charged a fair price, including repairing the curb rash on my wheels. 10/10 would recommend this place and the young guy at the front desk. read more

Doesn't $100 for them to take my tires off my rims and put them back on which is ridiculous already. And $200 to get my freshly sandblasted Evo 8 wheels clear coated. $300 all together. They clearly grabbed my rims with dirty hands didn't wash them and just clear coated them. And I also told them I didn't plan on painting them. So now I paid $400 all together with sandblasting to have clear-coated rims that look dirty and there's nothing I can do about it. cause cascade wheel can't take pride in there work. They did a great job fully restoring my set of 4 alloy wheels - sand blasting, welding the damage, sanding/lathing, and finally powder coat. When I went to pick them up 2 of the wheels had little imperfections (I'm picky), but they offered to redo them for free. I got those 2 back and they were perfect like the others. The turn around time was less than a week for a full restoration, not bad in my book. I'm very happy with the outcome, customer service, and the price. Terrible customer service... seems like several of their main guys left the shop. Dropped 2 Bbs lm barrels off to have the lips polished and was given a 3-4 day turn around (dropped off on a Thursday, told to pick up mon/Tuesday) Tuesday passed with no contact, so I called that next Wednesday and was told by Phil, that he dropped the ball and will get them done by Friday. Friday came around, gave them a call... he hadn't started on the wheels and was told they will be done by Tuesday. End of day Tuesday I called and yet again, he did not start on my barrels and was told to give them a couple more days. Went by the shop today (Thursday, 2 weeks after my 3-4 day estimate) to pick them up finished or not. They were still sitting on the shelf covered in dust. Took them home with me, no apology given. Have used Cascade Wheel in the past dealing with Mike, never had a problem. Will not be using their services any longer. read more

My review is only initial for now. I dropped off my wheels there today, 3 of 4 were bent. The center caps where the BMW logo goes were pretty tight, so while beating it out from the backside w/ a hammer (THIN rubber, after that he used a wood mallet), he dimpled the hell out of one of the caps...looks like it a teenage kid w/ zits now and needs to be replaced. I guess it's just something that have to say for the sake of saying it, but they guy there kept telling me that if they crack the wheel during repair, that they can't repair it...it definately raised an eyebrow. I said that they do this kind of stuff everyday, so they should be able to see if it's something repairable, but he said he had to say it. I drove on the wheels everyday for the past 4 months, so it's not like they're unusable or even leaking air, but he still caused me to be concerned with his skill level after the whole cap removal incident. I had him show me the machine that they use to do the repairs, seems pretty straightforward once someone is trained to use it, so then it comes down to taking your time and/or doing it right w/ skill. I asked about welding the wheels upon cracking, then he went into this story about how wheels are harder on the backside of the lipside. These wheels are forged, meaning they're a block of metal that is machined down to it final shape. Hell, even cast wheels are just poured into a mold, so I don't see what he means about the backside vs the front side hardness. Part of their website says welding, so I guess I don't understand why $1200 each all-aluminum wheels are an exception. I told him I'm not even worried about the finish as I will be Plasti-Dip'ing the wheels again once they're done. Nevertheless, I've got 3 iForged 20's there and he's going to try to have them done by this weekend...fingers crossed. read more

The manager was very friendly and professional, as was the other employee, Eric, who was there at the time. I researched the reviews of the previous reviewer John L. because I felt the review of Cascade Wheel was so hostile and out of place from my experience, and he seems to be one of those people who go through life looking to be butt hurt and pretentious, considering his other business reviews contained name-calling such as asshole, douche and toddler. We all know the type. Dude. Yelp won't make you funny, famous or cool. If you want your wheel repaired, powder coated and made new again by a hard working, local family business, this is the place for good service. read more

Do not take your steel wheels here! We took the set of wheels for our classic truck here for powder coating and they turned out awful. Coverage was not complete. Bare metal was showing through on the back and there were thin spots even on the front of the wheels. There were also large patches of bare steel where their clamps held the wheels. There were all sort of communication problems. Initially we were told we were getting a 3 coat process - primer, color, and clear. When we picked them up we found out they do only 1 stage on steel wheels. We asked them about chossing a color - they said they would spray one wheel for us to see, when we came to check it out they had sprayed all 5! The owner is not there after 4:30 so if you come by after that don't expect anyone to know anything. They let us have our wheels back for the cost of tire removal and disposal ($50!; Les Schawb did this on 3 other wheels for us for free). We took our wheels to another local powder coater and they did an awesome job - full consitent coverage and no bare steel! They had to re-sand blast the wheels b/c Cascade did a incompetent job - the coating was flaking off! read more

I used Cascade Wheel about three years ago to refinish some factory Acura Legend GS wheels. They were the only shop I could find in the Seattle area that would refinish my wheels to factory, which included machining the faces. Every other shop I contacted wanted to paint the wheels - no, thanks. I dropped my crusty wheels off then returned a few days later to shiny, like-new factory rims. I was very pleasantly surprised at the result. The price was very reasonable at $400 at the time. The clear coat has started to come off a couple of the wheels, which I'm not sure is a result of workmanship or normal wear and tear. read more

I highly recommend this shop. I had a badly scratched 18" dts Audi wheel; curbed it while driving around streets of downtown Seattle last summer. I called numerous places and finally decided to give the local shop a try. The owner took a look at my wheel and said he could sand it down and blend it in to match the hyper silver to look decent, and all for a very reasonable price, $100 plus mounting. I told them that they should have told me the price before they start fixing them like they promised because that price was so ridiculously too much or I should have buy a new one for much less. That lady who called me was so rude and very impolite, she yelled at me that I have to pay her $300 and that's it and she hang up.
