After being turned down by three different chain tire branches AND the dealership where I bought the car - all of whom were far too booked up to offer assistance - a local auto parts place suggested JE Wheels. I pulled in without an appointment, and Eddie (the manager) offered to help right away! Not only did he have his crew fix it in 45 minutes, they only charged me $30 (it would have been free if I bought the tires from them). I also inquired about a recommended quiet all-season set of tires, and Eddie recommended a brand and his reasoning for it, giving the price per tire plus $25 install fee - which includes free rotation, flat fixes, etc. - and a 30 day return policy (for credit to another set)! I checked just to see what Amazon would charge for the tires and it was the same price! Plus you support a local business with good people. Well worth checking them out, thanks guys!

I am not exaggerating to say that it took him under two minutes from the time I pulled up, and he would've had me back on the road in under five minutes total if I didn't take the time to ask him to order 2 new tires to replace my aging ones. These guys are amazing. Every time I have gone here for an emergency tire repair they have saved the day, they're very accommodating, and they're very fast. I didn't even have time to finish this review while I was waiting for them to install the two tires I ordered. Highly, highly recommended.

I found a listing for Tire House & it said Open - on a Sunday! I called but no answer. Started to feel very discouraged, but then my phone rang and it was the technician from Tire House calling me back!! how refreshing is that?! A returned phone call! I told him I could visibly see a nail and needed to have the tire looked at and hopefully repaired. He asked that I come back in about an hour, and I happily agreed. Upon arriving, I was directed to pull forward into the lift area. He helped me find the special tool/key needed to take my wheel off (which I didn't even know was required). He got the tools out and removed my wheel, verified that it was a nail that could be removed and the tire plugged. He did all of this in about 20 minutes. I used this service for over seven years while living in Seattle. This is my long-term (and long…read moreoverdue) review of their service. First, I've always found Ace Auto to be courteous, honest, and clear with communicating the work that my cars needed (a 2013 Camry switching to a 2017 RAV4 Hybrid later). They've always been up-front about what work is critical versus what can be delayed until later. Second, the owners are dedicated to ensuring that cars are repaired and returned in a timely fashion. When COVID hit in 2020, they went in on the weekend to fix my RAV4 all so that I could get my car back on the following Monday as promised (which wasn't actually their fault as a supplier error caused the wrong part to be shipped initially, and the right part only arrived when the shop was about to close on Friday). Third, while the service provided might not be the cheapest, I have NEVER had to take my car back in to get a repair "fixed" because it was done improperly the first time. This was really important to me because my car was my main mode of transportation as a family caregiver. I'm sorry that it took me almost eight years and two different cars to get around to writing this review. On the other hand, I can pretty confidently say that you can rely on Ace Auto to make sure your vehicle stays in great shape over the years. Thanks guys.

A few months ago I had a catastrophic flat tire and only managed to limp into a Shell station nearby. The kind person there filled up the tire and suggested that I go to Omar's tires on N 45th Street. $50 to repair a worthless tire. I should have gone to Les Schwab instead. They fix flat tires and their reputation is spotless. Plus prices are very reasonable, even free sometimes. Today I took my brother in law's car to the Ballard Les Schwab to have his brakes checked. An unusual rumbling noise was coming from one of the wheels. He doesn't speak English so I did the talking. They checked the brakes but didn't find any problem with the brakes and recommended I take it to the dealer to check the hybrid system and/or the roller bars. There was no attempt to sell me anything. Just a useful recommendation for what to do next. Thank you Tina at the front desk. Excellent help and personable customer service.

However, it wasn't done until 2 pm the following day. While they didn't charge us for the oil change, which was a nice gesture, we needed our car back on time. I was then scolded (for about 5 minutes) by the person who was supposed to do the service that they would never have time to for their hour diagnostic on a Friday late afternoon (even though that was the service I booked and confirmed the appointment for). I was confused because I had made and confirmed the appointment but after the conflict, I just wanted to leave. I was then followed to my car "to get a quick look" and after another scolding about random parts of my car, he blocked my driver door from closing with his body so I couldn't leave. I ended up being there for 15 minutes and 14 of those were spent getting scolded. I left in tears- because I already hate going in for car services- and will never go back to that establishment again. I would not recommend going here to get your car serviced!
