I was headed out of town on a road trip. Prepped the car on a Saturday night, when I saw a screw in the back tire. Never good news in an All Wheel Drive -- might need to replace all four. It seems no tire places are open on Sunday -- except Pro Tires, which was. I apologize for not getting the name of the young man who helped me. I called, he said come on in. pulled out the screw, checked to see how far into the tread it reached. No puncture. Tires were good. He checked the air pressure and assured me all was well. 5 minutes, total confidence that my drive would be safe. Friendly, kind, and helpful. I went to Pro Tires.. there's nothing Pro about them. Francisco Alvarez Ortiz specifically. I only needed a brakes and thermostat repair quote instead I walked away with the massive ridiculous bill turned signals and no longer worked in a piece of material for my car left on my driver's seat instead of being reassembled properly. when I called the mechanic to address the issues he blamed it on faulty wiring essentially placing the blame on me for a problem that clearly arose after their work to make matters worse when I asked for his name and license number he was incredibly rude disrespectful and flat out lied claiming he told me I could bring my car back which of course I wouldn't why would I trust the business that already damaged my vehicle to "fix" it again. this entire experience was unprofessional dishonest and beyond frustrating I was of stranded and able to drive safely because my turn signals no longer worked and had to get someone else to drive me home I can't help but wonder if this mechanics actions were influenced by the fact that I'm a woman and I was there alone with my daughter if you're reading this please save yourself a headache and stay far away from pro tires their negligence dishonesty and poor practices are not worth the risk you will be left paying the bill by yourself. read more

I had one of the tires in my older Mazda blow out yesterday, and really wanted to replace it with another used tire (so that they all would need changing at the same time, eventually). No other shop in town seem to have this size I needed, except these guys at Pro. I got a quote over the phone that was incredibly reasonable (especially as it covered the tire itself, balancing, mounting, changing out my spare, and disposing of my old tire - all included). When I got there and they showed me the "used" tire they wanted to put on I thought they'd made a mistake....because it actually looked brand-new, way better than any of the tires that I was already had on the car. I am not the type to leave bad reviews, especially for small businesses but I'm extremely upset with my experience here at Pros Tires. If you're looking to save money on tires and not get scammed, this is not the place for you. YOULL GET CHARGED $1700 FOR TIRES. Backstory: Costco charges ~$900 for the best type of tires you can get (Michelan brand). I usually would just go to Costco to buy new tires, but I'm planning to sell my car soon so I was referred to go to a smaller tire shop that sell used tires for about half the price. I had gone down the street to Bruno's Tires first and they didn't have any used tires that would fit my car, only 4 brand new tires (Milestar brand) for about $620. Since I wanted used tires, I decided to drive down to Pros Tires to see if they had any that would fit. Upon arrival, my partner had gone in for the quote and came out with "$732" written on the paper for Michelan tires since they didn't have any used tires either. Although it was out of my budget, I thought it was a great deal because I know that the brand of tires is good and Costco sells those exact tires for ~$900, so I decided that I was willing to spend more money for quality tires. So, I go inside to talk with the mechanic about the quote and I was trying to bargain to $700 flat. However, he did not agree to lower it so I vocally confirmed out loud that it was $732? And he said yes. So I told him I would pay $700 cash and $32 on my card. He confirmed. Before the service began, I had offered to pay first. He told me that there was no need and I can pay after. We agreed and left. When my car was ready and I came back to pay, I put the $740 cash down and suddenly the price of the tires is "actually $1732". I was so shocked because there was so many times he could've corrected us but I did not hear him say that it was over $1k NOT EVEN ONE TIME. If I was trying to pay only $700, what makes you think I am willing to spend $1732?! I drive a regular 2008 Lexus, it is not a sports car, a big car nor a fancy car. There's no way tires should cost that much. Although it was "miscommunication", he refused to remove the tires and let me leave. I was given the option to pay $50 MORE DOLLARS and take 2 brand new tires and 2 used tires in the back. However, the used tires he was going to put on my car wasn't even the right size?! Then he tries to tell me I can finance the tires and pay monthly. What kind of customer service is that? He then tells us he can ask the tire shop if they're willing to take the tires back and if they can do that, he will remove them and I can leave. 5 minutes later, he's looking up a brand of tires (MILESTAR - the exact brand of tires that Bruno's tires down the street offered for only $620). However he was telling me that these are $750. If he didn't know if the tire shop would accept the Michelan tires back, why is he already searching up new tires to put on my car? He knew 100% that they would take the tires back but he was gonna put cheaper tires on my car to make sure that the $740 cash that I brought in was his to keep regardless. Not only was he trying to charge me $800 more than costco for the exact tires, he charged me an extra $100 for CHEAPER BRAND OF TIRES I COULDVE GOT DOWN THE STREET FOR LESS. I was forced to leave my car at the shop, along with my $740 in cash. The next day he called me and told me the tire shop would accept it but he was already going to put the Milestar tires on my car, meaning I had no choice but to pay for them. I paid ~$740 for Milestar tires that I could've got at Bruno's tires for $620. I also was almost forced to pay $1732 for tires that Costco sells for ~$900!! I understand miscommunication can happen but if he would've taken accountability for that mistake and just taken the tires off and let me leave, I would not be upset. However I feel extremely taken advantage of and scammed. I thought I was getting an amazing deal for brand new tires and got a lower quality brand of tires for the same price. I had no choice but to pay for the tires that I didn't even want to begin with. I was going to tip him for all the time spent and trouble too, but I wasn't given the choice since he wanted to take the full amount of cash. Take your business down to Bruno's Tires or Costco instead. read more

A tire on my car started coming apart, so I needed a quick fix while I was waiting for my new tires to arrive. I found Pro Tires on Yelp and headed straight over after work. Parking is limited, so I had to park around the corner. I walked in, explained my problem and the employee (I didn't catch his name) dropped what he was doing to help me out. Awesome! I found that shop searching for someone installing air pressure sensors into my aftermarket wheels. I wrote a couple messages back and forth with Elvis, and he was always patient, friendly and made me a good deal. And since I had a good feeling with his business, I was going ahead, and ordered 4 new tires, which he made me a good deal also on it. Everything was installed quick, 4 tires and 4 pressure sensors in about an hour. And I had to show up again, since my board computer had to be reset properly to not to show the air pressure warning anymore, so Elvis figured it out for me. I know I can be a pain with lots of questions, concerns, etc. but Elvis didn't get mad or rude once, which proofed that he is a great guy! I came to this place because I ran over a nail and needed to get it plugged right away. This place was conveniently there so I pulled in about 30 minutes before closing (they close at 7pm, which is fantastic). Who I am guessing is the owner greeted me and asked what I needed. They weren't the most customer service friendly place, but then again, it was the end of the day. Pretty quick and straightforward repair. He charged me $10, which I was more than happy to pay, given it's a "mom and pop" business (despite Les Schwabb being 2 miles away and doing it for free). Got my tires changed by these guys Saturday two tires at a decent price .. had some weird issue with one tire Sunday. Had to get it towed back home bcuz another auto place I stopped at said I couldn't drive or it will make matters worse.. literally the next day (today) they came out all the way to Federal Way to fix the problem (all I needed was air they said) and was able to reimburse me for my tow money.. overall great experience, amazing group of guys , very helpful ! this is a difficult review, because they guys there are all cool guys..I dealt with Elvis and he was really nice.. however this is the kind of place you go when u don't have much money and u just need a temporary fix to the situation, whatever it may be. I had a few rims fixed and purchased a few tires in Sept. Now take it mind, I was low on cash at the time. I ended up purchasing two tires that were a different size from the ones I had on the back of my car.. Not sure they balanced the tires before installing them.. and the tech totally ruin my lug nuts.. i mean stripped the heck out of them. because I understood what i was getting. I didn't put up too much of a fight.. in this case.. i truly received what i paid for... and I didn't pay much.. so thats what i received in return. I was considering purchasing rims from them on credit.. but since he asked me to email my credit application to them and never got back to me.. I lucked out. thanks Elvis.. I ended up finding a awesome deal on Ebay for rims and they eventually led me to another shop. so all in all, not a bad experience.
