I would highly recommend you not bring your car here for an alignment if it's lowered or has modified suspension. I initially called and was quoted 145$ for an alignment and an extra 100$ if they had to adjust the coil-overs. 2 hours after I dropped my car off I got a call back saying my car was done and they went ahead and did the coilovers adjustment so the price would be $245, after paying and leaving I heard a very obvious rubbing and clanking that absolutely did not exist before. I called and asked and they said they did notice it and upon further inspection it was listed as an issue on the work order but not mentioned to me directly, I informed them I would bring the car straight back so they could fix whatever went wrong, this is where the issues began. As soon as I got back to Hiline they started giving me this terrible attitude like it was my fault the car had issues after there alignment. I did not get to talk to the tech who did it but the 2 guys at the front were super rude and off putting, taking no accountability that it may be there fault and blaming the fact that the car is lowered/ recently had work at a different shop. Everything but them was the issue... I waited to have the car looked at for almost 2 hours, no one seemed to have a sense of urgency. Finally when they took my car back to look at it after some more time they realized that somehow after the alignment the back driver tire was rubbing on my coilover. And as for the clanking I was not specified as to what the issue was but they simply said they fixed it. After taking the car back on the road they did fix the rubbing and clanking but my alignment is still off and the wheel is still not straight when driving. Very very disappointed in the overall service and how I was treated. Not to mention the guy at the front said that they didn't adjust my coilovers at first and the 245$ was the price for a normal alignment. And if they had adjusted them it would be an extra 145$ per wheel ? read more

Parts and labor are warranties 12 months 12,000 miles. Never had any issues here. Treated with respect all the time. They won't sell you anything you don't need and they don't BS or waste your time. I recommend these guys if you drive a lifted Toyota truck. Hi-line was able to dial in my alignment with specific camber/toe/caster numbers I wanted. They are quick and straight to the point. Even 2-weeks after my alignment was done I needed some additional adjustment to my tierods. Hi-line told me to come in and drop off my vehicle. 2-hours later they finished with truck and did not charge me additional labor fees. I would recommend this spot for alignments and avoid shops like Firestone. read more

I came here with a weird problem that two dealerships didn't fix. Highline Frame didn't fix anything that didn't need it- like the dealerships did. They did find the problem and fix it. I am really late writing this review but here it is. In July 2017 I took my 2002 Jeep Wrangler to Highline Frame for a check-up for the dreaded Jeep "death wobble" I knew that the track bar bracket had broken away from the frame. Peter and Joel diagnosed that I needed a whole new frame. I saved for the repair and scheduled the replacement in March, 2018. A replacement frame was found within a few days and the total repair took about a week to complete. The cost was very reasonable and my Jeep was returned to me good as new. However I am starting to have the "death wobble" again so I will take the Jeep back for a check-up. I don't think it is as major as a replacement frame but I am confident the problem will be found and a repair will be made. read more

I went to Hiline due to a recommendation from another business. It was a mistake. I needed a repair quote. This is something not typically charged for. they insisted on doing an alignment (to a damaged suspension) that could not be properly adjusted. I did not know this at the time but the moment they saw it they should have stopped and informed me. Instead they charged me almost $100 and gave me a quote of $3,000 for repair. I went elsewhere and now drive a repaired vehicle which cost $1,200. In my case they were not trustworthy. read more

Service King of Burien contracted out their work to Hiline to repair quite a few components on my truck (mostly pertaining to steering and suspension on the driver's side of my vehicle). My overall experience was crap thanks to Service King. I wish I could've just skipped them and sent my truck to Hiline. Peter at Hiline was the first person at any of the shops to actually ask, "what happened to your vehicle?" I heard through some roundabout way that Service King assumed I had "driven into a ditch", which is bull. It was a hit and run. Anyway, I mentioned that my truck had an Old Man Emu 2.5 suspension lift, and Peter inquired about the exact components. Luckily, I was able to grab the invoice from the shop that installed the lift, and email it over to Peter just so he could be sure of the components. It was exactly the reassurance I needed. Came recommended by Discount tires. Got the new tires today and needed an alignment. At first I was put off by the fact it could take up to 1 1/2 hours! Yikes. Called around, and found their prices to be the best in town. Dropped off the car and went around the corner for killer Mexican food. About 30 minutes later, got a call saying they were done! Wow. And, I didn't need the rear alignment after all (saved $30). Same impression as earlier post - they're not trying to swindle or charge for unnecessary services. I brought my car here for a front alignment a couple of months ago. They didn't try to convince me that there were a thousand things wrong with my car and that I was in imminent danger if I left without getting additional repairs. Basically, I got the impression that they were an honest car place where I might be able to bring my car for future maintenance/repairs. I went back a couple of weeks ago for my 60K mile service. This was after I called around to compare price, services included at that price and customer service (friendliness, professionalism...). The manager is very professional, honest and competent, as are his employees. I will be taking my car back to them and keeping you updated on future experiences. If I can add "consistency" to the list of attributes the shop has to offer, I will be giving them a 5 star review. read more

Hiline had previously fixed an issue with cross threading that Discount Tire paid for. That's how I found out about them. I set an appointment with them to have a look at why my 03 BMW's steering wheel was shaking when braking. Other places simply stated that the rotors were warped (and I had replaced those 2x before to no avail). Hiline also determined the rotors were warped but also found that the control arm bushings had failed as well. They fixed both quickly and the car drives great. Wow - this place is fantastic. I was referred to Hiline Frame by Discount Tire after a whirlwind of trying to identify a shaking feeling my Pathfinder was experiencing when I reached a certain speed. It was not a problem that I could easily replicate so the other places I went to could not find what I was describing. The staff (Joel in particular) were great. He listened to our problem, asked good questions, and left us feeling confident that they would figure it out. By the next day we had a call explaining a radiator leak that was mixing coolant into our transmission fluids. This was huge! We had been to other repair shops who never identified a leak, thus leaving us certain that it must be an alignment or frame issue. They ordered parts, got to work by the next day when we discovered by chance that our problem was a manufacturing defect that was covered in a non-disclosed extended warranty. Here is what makes Hiline get the 5-star rating: They immediately ceased work, waited while we tried to get Nissan to take ownership of the problem, went above and beyond by trying to work with Nissan to finish the repair (which unfortunately did not happen) AND then went through the ridiculous process or stopping the great work they had done to reinstall the faulty radiator and tow it over to Nissan. The whole time during this very frustrating debacle they were kind, patient, helpful, and sympathetic to our frustrations with Nissan for making the process less than easy (cause lets face it - Nissan was in no hurry to cover a new radiator and transmission for us). Was sent over from Highline Electric/they could not find the problem. They looked over the problem and charged me $350 and said it would cost $1200 to $1700 to fix. Said my rear axels were bent. Took it to a rear end specialist who tore open the rear end and found nothing wrong. Tuned out to be front end part worn out. The charged me $200 to put the vehicle in the air and shake the rear tires? And charged me to do a front end alignment which it didn't need. I love having a mechanic I can trust and refer my friends to and Hiline is just that. This place does it all so don't narrow your expectations because of the frame and alignment bit. I have taken my Lexus, Land Cruiser and F250 (diesel) to this shop and they capably handled all needed service. The manager, Peter, is a friendly , competent professional and a straight shooter. He is pragmatic about needed repairs and is motivated to retain my business. I never feel like I have been sold more repair than necessary, the work is always done in a timely manner and my cars run well after a visit to the shop. An aside, the shop is clean and orderly. Always a significant factor in my book. Love a local business doing it right. This place is a joke with a ridiculously sexist owner. I came to doubt check with a previous alignment they supposedly did for my car last week. The owner peter was talking to me like I had no idea of anything. So rude and disrespectful. When I asked him why was he raising his voice at me, he replied " because I am frustrated." I too was frustrated but did not raise my voice at anyone. I knew he was not liking being questioned by a woman so he told me to just get out of his shop, he will no longer talk to me and walked away. I did not expect to me treated like this. I only got one question out before he got very defensive towards me. Took my car for a diagnostic about last Monday on a car with previous accident. They worked fast and where able to call me and tell me all parts that need replacing. My wife and I have driven used cars (GM and Toyota) for many years and have relied on Highline Frame to give us expert service at a fair price. What I like best is their honesty. They are just as quick to tell you what you do not need as what you do need - or what you will need in the future, but not yet. At one point Peter at Highline said to me, "You don't need brakes yet - just drive it." I moved from Burien to Auburn 8 years ago, but I am still taking our cars up to Burien to get them serviced at Highline! I had a bad experience at a "highly recommended" repair shop in Auburn that tried to sell me repairs that I did not need. That was enough. I'm sure there are good mechanics in Auburn but I don't want to waste my time and money finding one. Why switch from a proven winner? I gladly drive 10 miles for car repairs at Highline. read more

I went here to get my brakes checked because they were squealing pretty bad. The guy I spoke with, Peter, said they were only 50% worn and the noise was caused by dust. Recently, I needed an engine repair and wasn't able to get my car to my trusted mechanic. After reading the reviews, I took my car to Hiline Frame & Wheel Alignment. They repaired the problem and I was on my way. Less than a week later, my car began showing the same symptoms as before. Turns out one of the new parts was actually defective (I know this can happen, as it happens in my industry). Took my car back, and they replaced the defective part and sent me along my way with sincerely apologies for the trouble. Thank you, Peter and staff, for the great customer service. Good, friendly, and honest people who know customer service. I've taken 4 different cars here, and have never been let down. They tell you the truth (even if it means less money for them), and guarantee their work. I travel the extra distance to Burien from Seattle to support this shop. Always worth the extra trip, and I'm always satisfied with their work. They have done oil changes, brake services, replaced a fan clutch and thermostat, fixed power steering issues, alignments, and replaced a water pump for me...to name a few. I will soon have my air conditioner converted to R12 to R134a here.They pretty much do everything here, but major body work can probably better be done next door at Fix Auto. It's a busy shop (for a reason), so appointments and a ride home are recommended. This is a small price to pay for a great, mechanically inclined team that will do it right, and not try to cheat you. read more

I've had my vehicles in this shop a couple of times over the years and they've done a good job. But my reason for this review is for their integrity. I thought I needed an alignment because I had gotten my tires rebalanced due to a shimmy, but that didn't stop it. When I explained the situation, Joel told me he thought it could be a bad tire and to take it back to the tire shop. Sure enough, the belts were separting. Had to get a couple new tires, but my point is, rather than say "bring it on in for us to look at" (and then charging me for their analisys), they helped me out with no financial benefit to them. I appreciate that cause we all know, honesty in the repair business can be elusive. As I mentioned before, when they've done alignments on my rigs it's been reasonable and good work. I came here for an alignment after replacing some suspension parts on my car. Overall, the customer service and the actual alignment was okay. According to the print-out they gave me, everything was done within the manufacturer's specifications, so I can't knock them for that, but what I found unsatisfactory was that the camber of the front wheels was noticeably off. The right wheel had 0.1 degrees of camber while the left wheel had 0.4 degrees of camber. This was obvious just by looking at it, and it had a negative impact on both handling and tire wear. Afterwards, I noticed my car was pulling to one side and the steering wheel was not centered properly. I suppose I should've returned to have them fix the alignment, but I ended up going to another place down the street that did a better job, was faster, and cheaper. read more

We went to this place to support a local business in the neighborhood we grew up in and to also get alignment done properly . That was the wrong reason to choose this place. We took our Toyota Corolla there to get alignment fix and they called us couple hours later with a list of broken things to fix and we told them to leave it at that and we will take the car to our trusted mechanic. By the time we get back to their place they to pick up the car they tell us oh we did the best to our ability to do alignment. How can you do best to your ability with a broken front wheel component ? Secondly why didn't you just call us to verify ? Bottom line we took the car to our mechanic he fix one issue and said the rest of the broken item they listed is false and they are working properly. He also mentioned that no alignment should of been done due to a major component on the wheel broken and that once it was fixed alignment would defiantly be needed . My wife goes back there to get this sorted out and some jerk that seems to be the owner of the place started yelling about doing their best to get the alignment done even though a major component was broken on the wheel. He then changes his story to " we charged you for labor " through out this thing he is basically yelling so loud I can hear him through the phone. DONT WASTE YOU TIME, MONEY AND ENERGY ON THIS PLACE. read more
