I must say I was a bit hesitant about signing up for a class because on the yelp reviews I saw she had done it in her house. Then I saw she had a legitimate website so it made me feel a bit better about emailing her to sign up. But now I am so glad that I have signed up. Talk about a workout! I am having a blast with Ly. My schedule is complicated and she had been great with working around it. She emails and texts to confirm with clients and she is super sweet. All my friends think my boyfriend is abusing me because of all the bruises I get but it is just the pole. She was making me do inverts by the end o first class and most of second class. It was tough but what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger and week by week I am gaining upper body strength. I can't wait to see what is in store for the upcoming months but if anyone is looking for a stellar workout I would definitely recommend at least signing up for one class with her. You'll love it and her doggy Modoc too:) read more

Ly's Pole Studio - Pole Dancing Classes Near Me - San Jose, California

1. An hour before the beginners class I was contacted by Ly stating that I would need to take a private lesson before joining her beginners class although I'd registered a week earlier. I'd reserved the time with four of my friends and am very athletic. Ly stated- "Pole is very different than lifting weights." Given how busy we all are - we were exceptionally offput to know our plans were no longer an hour before. And thank you for the backhanded insult Ly. SMH. 2. Ly proceeded to charge me and my friends for the class she shared was not appropriate for us. This is illegal. 3. Her failure to manage her business in a responsible way should be a huge red flag to all. It sounds as if the classes are technically sufficient - but the underlying business process is alarming. Ladies - imagine if you were to get hurt in this studio? Or it suddenly fails as a business? Would you trust this business with your credit care. Buyer Beware. read more

To those looking to be a new student: Ly practically functions and manages every aspect of her business, from teaching to scheduling everything so she is constantly busy. I'm not surprised that people said they had trouble contacting her. Also keep in mind at some point Ly has been offering first time students a free class if they left a yelp review so lots of the stellar reviews very early on are based off of one class and early on the studio's life (can disregard most of 2014); the studio has grown and changed significantly since then. To the Intermediate - Advanced students who still attend the studio: Be honest with yourself. Every once in a while ask yourself these questions in regards to the instructing and learning environment: Am I having fun? Do I always feel empowered and encouraged? Do I always feel physically and emotionally comfortable, safe, and being built up in a healthy manner? Do I feel like I'm able to be the kind of dancer I want to be with zero pressure? Do I feel like I receive equal opportunities and support regardless of my level? Do I feel like I'm can be my own dancer regardless of where others are at? Am I overall constantly leaving class feeling positive about the teaching and learning experience? The other students are friendly and you'll definitely create lasting friendships, as you commonly will at any other place. Ly is also great in that she's dedicated, hard working, and genuinely does want to see herself and her students grow. I respect her, which is why I'm not going to flat out rampantly attack her. But I will say there are many students who left the studio permanently when the answers to those questions all slowly began to become No. Remember it's your time and money so be sure the answer to all those questions above are Yes. And if it is, Great! Just also remember to keep asking yourself those questions even later on. Do what's best for you and your goals. Best wishes, read more

I poled at Ly's for over 9 months, but recently stopped as I think she has lost much of her professionalism. The class takes place in her apartment, 2 poles to either 4 or 5 girls so you do take turns, and yes everyone is at different levels which can be complicated/embarrassing. Sometimes her husband comes home, but he usually keeps quiet and is easy to ignore but if you are shy around men - be warned. The disclaimer below is correct, Ly waives your intro class fee as long as you leave a review on Yelp...so that's what I did when I started with her in the beginning. I mean, you are getting a bargain at her studio, and it is true - you get what you pay for. First, the positives - Ly is flexible, she can be friendly, and the studio (apartment) has an intimate feel. She will work with you to achieve your goals as long as you communicate them to her. The Negatives - Classes have become over crowded with more than 4 students, She dilutes the pole cleaner with far too much water so the poles are not properly disinfected (same for the towels shes wipes them down with), human hair and dog hair all over the apartment. Music selection must be kept to a minimum as she has had noise complaints, which makes it difficult to get "in the mood" to pole. She has her favorites, and can be condescending at times. Overall, the studio has become very popular and over crowded, which leaves her less time to maintain the place by cleaning more regularly. Often times you can see she seems over worked when her patience wears thin...she once told our class we were depressing to teach but I think she was just in a bad mood. The biggest upside to this place is the cost - it's only $20/class so it's not too big of a bargain to take if you want to give it a try. read more

I took Nicole's partner acrobatic class on Friday night and loved it! It was my first time doing acrobatic and I wasn't confident I could do all the moves. Nicole was able to break down the moves so I could easily understand. She was there to spot me and to give me helpful feedback. She's very attentive to the students. It felt very safe. The class was a ton of fun! The people in the class were super nice and welcoming to a beginner. I was really impressed by the wholesome community. I highly recommend Nicole's class. She's an amazing teacher and the students were super friendly. I had tons of fun and will come back for sure! read more

I guess she doesn't need anymore students... For nearly 2 months I've been researching studios and trying to sign up for a morning pole class. Not only is this studio the closest to my house, but it's a small business (which I always try to support), AND she offers a weekday morning class (which I found to be pretty hard to find) In the past 2 weeks I've called once with no answer (the voicemail just says to send an email) and sent 3 different emails trying to get into a class. Absolutely no response. I've read the reviews about the classes being kinda hard to get into but this is RIDICULOUS. It was a nice idea I guess... read more

Took the introductory course with my best friend yesterday, and Ly was an amazing instructor!! My friend and I are pretty uncoordinated, still Ly had us inverted on the poles within the first 20-30 mins (and was super patient and fun to learn from). She's definitely got a good eye for form and safety, which made us feel super safe going out of comfort zone! From what I've seen inside the studio, there's a good variety of courses (and freestyle time periods) and fairly priced (especially with the class bundles). I'll be back for sure! As a tip, the studio has no sign, and black out windows, with a lock on the handle (though we were able to open it). Its in a kind of random shopping center in a pretty business heavy district of San Jose, with a lot of Vietnamese/Chinese foods. Nice because it's super close to work, but my friend and I thought we got the address wrong at first! Look for unit #87 (in the center between both buildings, mid way through building on your left, if you're facing away from Concourse Dr.) read more

Let me tell you about how I met Ly and fell in love with pole fitness. I started pole fitness a few months ago. Previously, she had her classes in a more intimate location but recently her new studio opened this month! There's so much space and so many poles at the new studio. There's also a full wall of mirrors so you can see exactly what you're doing. Each class is around 4-5 students so everyone has their own pole. It's also at a nice private location so you don't get random passerbys peeking in. All in all, I love the new studio! As an instructor, Ly is the best. She is vivacious, charismatic, and has a great sense of humor. She will encourage you to try moves and push your body to do things you didn't think it could do. She's a very good motivator and uses positive reinforcement to help teach. Don't be fooled by how easily she executed her routines. Pole fitness is a total body work out! She knows exactly how to give the right tips to fix your form if you're doing something wrong. The atmosphere at her studio is positive and welcoming. Everyone cheers eachother on and I honestly feel so accomplished when I finally land a trick. Her classes are usually structured starting with a warm up, stretching, and then leads to teaching new tricks, brushing up on old tricks, a sexy dance routine, and then lastly tying everything you learned in a full routine. At first, I was shy and nervous about how I would compare to other students. However, I always end the class feeling empowered and more confident! I've gotten so much stronger and tricks that I was struggling with the first month come easier to me now. Pole fitness is for everyone. You can be any shape, any size, and with no flexibility (like me) but still be able to train your body to make beautiful shapes and graceful spins. I encourage EVERYBODY to try at least one class with Ly! read more

I took my first ever pole dancing class here and had such an enjoyable experience! Coming from a dance background, I have been interested in trying pole dancing for quite some time and was pleased to find the experience challenging in an empowering and fulfilling way. Ly is an incredibly patient, approachable, and encouraging instructor; she takes the time to explain things in detail and work with students individually. Both Ly and Tewa together created a fun, positive, and inclusive class environment. I'll definitely be coming back for more classes! read more

Ly is super nice. She's very accommodating when it comes to scheduling classes. The students are friendly and the atmosphere is chill (not the workouts haha). Definitely check out her website and browse around. I honestly believe the prices are very fair and have been recommending her to my friends. BTW if you're a college student, she's got student discount! YAY! Where she's located though, parking can be a bit difficult so come early! Especially if you have classes on the weekends. Weekdays are a bit more bearable. Classes are small, but that's exactly what I like. Since it's my first time trying out pole dancing, I felt more comfortable. I felt like it was more cozy that way and talking to her other students was easier. Everyone just kind of helps each other out. You don't feel judged and that is exactly what you don't want in a class. At most, you get like 4 people total in class. For the lessons, I like how there's not a lot of pressure on you and you can learn things at your own pace. You eventually get better and you start to feel more comfortable with your body. I've gotten a lot stronger and honestly have been in a much happier mood. Some of the tricks look crazy but one of the best things is that Ly teaches you how to do them and when you finally get a move down it feels awesome. It's like leveling up in a game yknow what I mean? You end up wanting to learn things to better yourself without the unnecessary pressure. Oh my best tip is DON'T GIVE UP! Seriously though, I used to give up halfway when I felt like I wasn't doing a move right. But what's the point of doing a move up until a point where you just give up. There's going to be moments where you'll feel like crap for not getting something down but seriously try to finish it to. the. end. Ly kept telling me to do that and I have to say it trains your body/mind to do more than you originally thought you could do. I'd say take the intro class but don't base everything on it. I liked my intro class but I really look forward to classes now after sticking with it, I started off w/ one class a week but I ended up boosting it to 2 classes a week. BTW she's got this adorable labrador retriever that lays in the corner but doesn't bother anyone unless you offer him tummy rubs, he looooves tummy rubs. He's a real ladies' man. read more

Been going here for a few months for beginner Pole. My instructors were Ly and Amy. They are both very nice and helpful and great teachers! The classes are fun and helps me boost my confidence. Definitely give it a try read more

Ly is the best!!! I have been with Ly for about 8 months and I love her classes as well as all the girls here. The classes are small so the instructor can give her attention on each of us. It does not matter what level of body fitness you are currently in, Ly will adjust the movement in accordance to your capability. I have taken a series of pole dancing classes back in Seattle. The instructor back in Seattle focused more on the hair-flips and body-waves, but did not pay much attention on techniques of pole dancing. For people like me that want to know more about pole dancing moves than shake our butts and flip our hair, that was a little bit disappointing. But Ly teaches tricks, techniques, and also throw some of the sexy moves from time to time. Perfect combo! For anyone who is interested in pole dancing, or just wanna work out some body parts they don't use often, Ly's place is definitely where you want go :) read more

Ly is really nice! She's strong and has a great eye for posture and safety of tricks. I took an intro class with her and she was patient and did a thorough assessment of my capabilities and strength. (Of which, I didn't have any!) Seriously--more power to her, too. I love that she runs her little biz out of her living room. It feels homey and comfortable. And it's really affordable. Now my arms are really sore :P I probably won't go back, but it was fun. Note: She has a dog that hangs out in her living room studio. If you have allergies, take extra claritin. It's really, really strong and I was sneezing a ton. read more

Ly is amazing. I took her class for a few months and really enjoyed it. She is kind and patient and has a bit of a sarcastic edge to her. Just my style. I was scared to do a class because I am not in the best shape and along with having two kids via c-section left me extremely self conscious. Ly and my classmates were amazing and never made me feel bad. Everyone is supportive and so sweet. I still felt self conscious, but I was determined to keep trying. I was the slowest learner in the class, but Ly made sure to adapt the moves for my skill level. She also made sure to keep pushing and encouraging me. I had to drop out of class because I changed jobs and couldn't attend the classes, but I hope that I can join again when things calm down. I highly recommend Ly. This isn't sexy pole stripper dancing. It's an intense workout that is fun and sexy too. read more

Lyn is a tough cookie, if you are serious about being a pole dancer she will help you get there. It's painful (atleast for me it was) the first couple of classes because I was working on muscles that I haven't used before. The toughest part has been making my leg muscles nice and tout because holding your entire body in between your inner thighs is like having skin burn, ouch it hurts! Study is in her house (for now I believe) nice and intimate , and floor is carpet. read more

Ly is one of the hardest working studio owners I know! She teachers all of the classes and does a damn good job! I attended class regularly for about 5 months and I miss it so much! The studio has very tall..maybe 14 foot 45 mm poles, and the bathrooms are quite spacious and nice. Ly is a very talented instructor who supports and challenges her students. The combos she taught our class are so very inventive I never got bored in her class! All in all excellent experience! read more

Ly is an amazing teacher! In my first lesson, I learned how to swing around the pole, climb the pole, and invert (hang upside down). She tends to give private lessons for first-timers so that was nice. No pressure from other expert students, which is what I felt when I took a pole dancing class at a different studio (and never went back). I was amazed at what I accomplished after just one hour! Also I was amazed at how exhausted my body was. Not much cardio but I was SO tired by the end. But Ly kept pushing me to do tricks which is great haha. I need a coach like that! Ly also has a really friendly yellow lab so that's a plus if you love dogs :) Side note: Her apartment complex is not hard to find, but it's difficult to know exactly which is her unit. She didn't give me the exact unit so I struggled for a bit. Parking is easy to find though, lots of street parking. read more

I had been looking for a pole dance studio to join after I came back from Korea and did 2 months of pole dancing there. After those lessons, I became hooked and I sought for a way to fulfill that craving in the south bay. I had found quite a few studios but most are women only. I visited Ly's studio for an introduction class and was welcomed warmly. I was surprised by how quickly she could assess my skill level by asking me to show her a few moves. I did and from there, the class took off. The class itself was very different from what I had been used to while in Korea. Nevertheless, I enjoyed Ly's approach. Perhaps I was just too excited and wanted to do everything at once! She takes things very slowly in order to ensure all movements and poses are executed precisely. We stretched for about 20 to 30 mins. Personally, I believe it'd be more exciting if was more rhythmic or yogaish, but i understand why she does it the way she does. She'll watch you closely and point out each mistake to remind you of the importance of form in this art. I'm glad she does this because this will certainly make things easier for the future when I don't have to waste time correcting mistakes that I would have had made over and over again. Throughout the whole class, she is very supportive and accommodating of any needs. Her prices are very reasonable, especially considering what you get out of it! The class was a total 1 hr and 30 mins and her rates beat all of the competitors in the South Bay in addition to the fact that you get great attention and feedback since the class will never surpass four persons. The studio is small, but it's not like you need a huge professional studio to learn or do tricks, right? read more

I took an intro pole class last summer in Portland, OR and so decided to try out Ly's out here to continue learning pole. I messaged her through her website and Ly responded within 24 hours to set up an individual lesson. The class was very intense! We did a mix of spins, transitions and climbing that definitely challenged me :) I was worried before coming that the kind of pole I had learned before would be different from Ly's style, but she was very professional and accommodating to any differences in style. I did take off one star because the studio is in her house, so the poles aren't as tall as the ones you'd find in a bigger studio (8' versus 20'). However, Ly did inform me that she's thinking about opening her own, bigger studio in the next coming months! I'm hoping to be back soon! read more

I REALLY wanted to like this studio - it's close to me and has a ton of classes that I'm interested in. I typically go to Sedusa (which I absolutely love) but sometimes have a hard time committing to a series so I've been looking for a near by studio with more drop-in options. I tried two different classes here, beginning pole and beginner 2/intermediate (about 4 months apart), and unfortunately I had a negative experience both times. The main issue was lack of instruction by Ly. Both classes felt completely over booked to me, with 2-3 girls sharing a pole in each class. That meant there were approximately 15-20 students in each class and with only one instructor, there is no way that Ly could help all of her students or monitor everyone in the class for safety. Rather than demonstrating each trick herself, Ly would also pick a more advanced student in the class and ask them to demonstrate. Often times, the move was not something that the student was familiar with and Ly would guide them through the trick. Watching another student struggle through a trick is not an effective teaching technique, and did not make me feel confident trying anything on my own. Ly also seems to have a habit of saying "NO" to students but not really providing much guidance on how to properly do the move. I didn't feel like I learned anything in either class I took. I left frustrated both times, despite the fact that I got the majority of the tricks that we practiced. I do think this studio has potential, the space is huge and all of the other students were extremely welcoming and talented. But I'd like to see a better student to instructor ratio and for the instructors to really give detailed guidance. read more

A good friend of mine recently introduced me to the world of pole after I told her I was getting bored of the gym. I signed up for a class at Ly's Pole Studio and was instantly hooked from day one! The fact that pole fitness incorporates both core training and dance is what makes it so addicting. Ly breaks her classes down into three portions: stretch & warm-ups, tricks, and dance. I was terrified of inverts and tricks when I first started, but am slowly starting to appreciate it now. Ly is super sweet with just the right amount of spunk. She is a wonderful instructor that encourages you to challenge yourself in every class, and pushes you to test your limits. Since I began my pole dance journey, I've accomplished things I never believed I could. Now I always have something to look forward to each week! If you find yourself getting bored at the gym or need to add something extra to your workout regimen, Ly's Pole Studio is definitely the place you should check out. read more

This was my first pole dancing class ever and it was a lot of fun! I have always wanted to learn pole dancing, but I was always too afraid to try. I was referred to Ly's Pole Studio by a friend who has been doing pole dancing for about 3 months now, so I trusted that this was a legitimate class. When I got there, Ly was very welcoming and was very helpful during the introductory class. She taught me some of the basics (walking, pivoting, half-pirouette, and even sitting on the pole!) and was very strict in making sure I had proper form. I really appreciated this because it shows that she cares about the student's safety as well. The studio is a little small, but I really didn't mind because I liked the close attention that I got. I have to say that I was a bit shy at first only dancing in bike shorts and a sports bra, but the environment that Ly provided helped me feel at ease quickly. She is very encouraging and supportive, too! I'm really looking forward to continuing pole dancing because it's definitely different than any exercise I've done and I'd like to learn so much more. Thank you, Ly! (: read more

On a whim, I redeemed a Groupon for a class at a different pole dance studio, and it was enough to get me interested, but I agree with the other Yelpers that I wasn't sure the length of the class was justification for the price, so I was hesitant to continue. One day, I saw a flyer for Ly's studio at a pearl tea cafe, so I decided to give it a shot. I had read the other reviews before I went to my first class, so I knew something of what to expect. And before I go on because some people who know me who are reading this and didn't get past "pole dance" and are probably thinking "hurr Amelia I knew you dance but you're taking pole dancing classes?? That's so hot, ooh damn so sexy," I challenge you to take a class with Ly, because she will kick your butt (in a good way). I was sore the next day as expected, but what I wasn't expecting were the bruises that I had to immediately ice when I got home (I just checked.. they're still there, and it's been a week!). But I learned so much in an hour and a half -- it was well worth the price (and she offers discounts for students!). She and the other student were so friendly and supportive, which is just what you need when you're dancing! I loved the focused instruction and agree with the other Yelpers; Ly works with you to make sure your technique is right and pushes you to do more once she sees you're ready. I also love her focus on fundamentals and safety. At the other studio, we had to wear stilettos, which I've never worn in my life, and the whole time, I was concerned that I would roll my ankles. At Ly's studio, you are barefoot, which I think really helps you get the technique down without being distracted by heels. There were a couple of things.. It is somewhat close quarters, so especially if you're on the tall side like me, you might have to be a little more conscious of the timing of your twirls so you don't collide with the other student. Also, close quarters means that the room is not quite as well ventilated as it could be. However, neither of these minor issues detracted in the slightest from my experience, and Ly said that she is currently in negotiations for a bigger studio, so that's exciting! I'll definitely be back for more! Thank you for a great dancing experience, Ly! :] read more

Ly sent me swinging in ways I never thought I could! I was able to make my first lesson with Ly on my night off. Her website is easy to use. I just filled out my contact information, and she responded to my email in a timely manner. The studio is cozy and clean. Small, but you could see yourself clearly at every angle, and Ly could see where you mess up and correct you!! ;) We started with good, long stretching and conversation about music and fitness/personal goals. My favorite pose was the cat pose, and her getting me to do the splits-something I haven't tried in yeears!!! After stretching Ly walked me step by step through techniques from the walk to the fireman move. She made sure I went with the motion for better momentum and grace to each dance move. Ly will have you repeat these techniques so your body gets in the habit of learning each step correctly..and so you avoid injuring yourself!! It was the most fun and mind blowing workout!! I don't mind the bruises, or "pole kisses" and the soreness the morning(s) after. Yes, I felt the soreness for days given I moved my body with the pole in formations I normally would not. I worked out muscles I've never felt, and it was nice to take on a new workout and focus on dancing in the moment. I appreciate how Ly will work with you with the most genuine, cheerful attitude. She was patient and made sure I got the most from our introductory session. I like her affordable class packages and how she gives student discounts as well. I am so gung-ho about learning the art of pole dancing thanks to this awesomely challenging lesson with Ly. Thank you for the fabulous experience, Ly!! ^-^ read more

After searching for pole dancing class in South Bay Area. I found Ly's Pole Studio(very convenient for me since it's quite close to my place). I took a pole class with Ly yesterday and I had so much fun. Not only I found a great instructor but also a new friend. You get quality teaching together with fun and friendly class. The class size was small, good enough for more individual attention. She was good at breaking down a movement. She's excellent and modifying on what she's teaching depending on the person's ability and work with your skill level. She was very helpful and patient. I really enjoyed this place and I plan to come back. read more

I love these pole dancing classes!!! I've always wanted to try pole dancing, but I felt too shy and awkward. Not at Ly's studio! I am glad that I found Ly's Pole Studio and that she is my first trainer. I am very excited to train with her twice a week and learn all the spins and tricks. Atmosphere in the studio is very cozy and friendly and completely lets you feel free and concentrate on learning new skills. I have been attending Ly's pole lessons for almost a year now. All I can say is, this is the place to go, whether you are just curious about pole dancing, or is considering a long-term commitment to pole. Here are some things I like most about Ly's Pole Studio: 1. Intensity of the work outs. I consider myself very fit, having been going to the gym for many years. But Ly's pole classes can still leave you sore for a few days. But don't worry about falling behind. Ly has classes aimed at people of all strength levels. 2. Intimacy of the small class size. There are usually 3-4 people per class, who are sharing 3 poles. You get plenty of practice and instructor's attention. This is critical for pole moves that require spotting. 3. Advanced moves for the "old" students. With Ly's classes, you wouldn't have to worry about "outgrowing" them, because our instructor is also advancing her skills! Some of the advanced moves I've learned recently are "allegra" and "shoulder mount ". (Of course she also teaches some much more advanced moves) I've also tried another pole class in the bay area, and I can say Ly's pole studio is the one I stuck with in the end. Just try it for a session, I'm sure you'll agree with me. read more

Had my introduction class today! I learned a lot of techniques from Ly in just one class! I have had another pole dance introduction class somewhere else. It made me become interested in learning pole dance but I did not really learn much from there. Ly's class is different. She explains every movement very well and tells you how to use each part of your body. She is very patient and her encouragement totally made me feel I can do it! It is a great and fun workout! Her place is easy to find and I like its atmosphere there. Looking forward to learning more from Ly and toning my body up! Update: It has been almost 10 months and I am loving it poling in Ly's studio! My body has changed so much:flatter abs, toned up butt, stronger arms, and more flexibility. It definitely a great workout to get you into shape with tons of fun! Ly demonstrate every movement when teaching and watches, helps, and corrects every student with their movements. That makes the learning much easier. Now I can do all the movements I thought I could never do! More importantly, taking Ly's class makes me feel more comfortable with my body and also makes me believe that every girl is beautiful in her own way.She is not only a great instructor but also an inspiring person! read more

I'm writing this from my bf's account (he's not the one taking the class LOL) I've only taken one class so far but I have learned alot already! Ly is very thorough with her instruction. Visit: 10/2015 Flew into Vegas for a bachelorette weekend in October of 2015. We found this pace on yelp, and was able to book a private lesson at the last minute. The instructor was nice and funny. We had a lot of fun! Loved the goodie bag! read more

I have been with Ly for roughly 7 months, and have loved it ever since. Before taking pole classes I was struggling with self confidence and body image since high school. Jumping into pole classes I was hesitant and nervous, but the environment Ly sets in her studio was calming and empowering. Presently, I have met so many beautiful and talented women including Ly and became more confident in myself. I love taking her class as opposed to other studios because she makes a great effort in keeping the ratio to 4 students to 1 teacher. Sometimes she has guest instructors, and they are great as well! In contrast to other studios I have seen on yelp, Ly keeps it personal and intimate and with that provides a great balance of a mentor, friend, and instructor. Before Ly's I never had any upper body strength, but now I am building more and more. Ly is also aware of various strengths and weaknesses and pushes you to be the best you can. We often tell ourselves enough is enough, and our body cannot handle a lot but she knows we can achieve more than we think. With this push she gives us, many students perform poses they never knew they could. Lastly, pricing is really fair. She gives student discounts and flexible scheduling according to your needs! Be open to her about where you are in fitness and scheduling and I promise you a great experience here at Ly's Pole Studio!:) read more

I took two months of pole classes and about a year stretching there, on and off. I have been stood up so many times for stretching (stretching was taught by another person via telepresence, she only needed to unlock the studio) that at some point I told myself I would just not go back. I really think she could make more of an effort to be respectful of other people's time. She is a decent teacher, but I did not feel much encouragement, so I did not "fall in love" with pole. The studio itself is nice and spacious. They occasionally host a crowded pole show by the students, those are fun to watch. read more

I highly recommend Ly's Pole Studio, she's super sweet, accommodating and caring and wants to make sure you succeed. I been to other studios and I would have never gotten as far as I have with another studio. I have to warn you though it'll feel tough at first working with the pole, but it will eventually get better. Just stick with it! read more

This place is amazing. Ly makes you feel like your family. Very encouraging. The people you meet in class are also very supportive! You learn not only that moves, but a bit more confidence each time you come! read more

Ly is an awesome instructor! I learned a lot in her first class; more than the other pole dancing studio I went to. I can't wait to come back! You really get to work on your stretch here too. Also this place is blacked out so you can feel comfortable in your own body and wear what you want! No judge zone! read more

My friend and I wanted to add something fun and exciting to our workout routine and after hearing great reviews from another friend who has been taking pole dancing lessons with Ly we decided to try it as well. Although I was a little nervous at first not knowing what I got myself into, Ly was really patient and encouraging and I soon felt at ease. In the introductory class we did quite a few things! We spent a good amount of time stretching and learned some of the basics as well as some other fun moves. I really appreciated all the personal attention we got - Ly would closely watch us to make sure we had the right form and would make us repeat the move until we got it down. Her prices are very reasonable considering all the personal attention and feedback you get from the private class. Ly was great and really funny too. This was such a fun experience and a great workout that really leaves you feeling the burn! I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to give pole dancing a try :) read more

Felt very intimidated at first because it was my first time trying a class like this but Ly is an amazing teacher! great workout and Ly taught me spins and tricks that I had no idea I was able to do! I live pretty far away from her studio but it is definitely worth the drive and I will be back this week :) thanks LY! :) read more
