    Revelers dressed up for Halloween!

This aerial studio is my home away from home. I've been coming here for over 2 years now. The community here is so fun and supportive. I've learned a lot of new aerial skills and came upon my love of pole dance when I was at a low point in my life. Turns out getting myself in the air was a great way to keep myself grounded. The instructors are thoughtful and mindful of students' progression and where their limits are, while still encouraging them to go further. It's a clean and large space. You're gonna find some stray glitter from heels or shoes, but that's to be expected. It's always decorated for the holidays (especially Halloween so beware of the scary creatures about). And you're gonna hear a lot of people laughing and generally having a great time. I love it here and I'm so glad my friend referred this place to me.

Jenn is a great instructor and is so invested in her students! She took time during open pole to help me

Love love love this studio. I've been training for 2.5 years at various studios, and I have grown the absolute fastest here at Revel! I can't express more how great this place is. Community: I think the best part of this studio is everyone who walks through that door. The community that Revel has created is welcome, encouraging, not judgmental, and super supportive in class. Just check out the featured stories on their Instagram or what their students have to say :) Instructors: Jenn is an amazing teacher. She provides really great technical guidance when I don't get a move and is really supportive during the whole combination. She can adjust tricks to your needs and never judgmental or overly pushy!! I am sure all the other instructors are the same! Classes: Lots of variety. Pole, Lyra, flexibility, heels, pole choreo (aerial flow) Studio: This is a big space. 7 really tall poles on one side, and lyra on the other. There's also a separate smaller mood room with the best lighting. Cleanliness: Very clean and takes appropriate measures for covid! Wash your hands entering/leaving the studio. Wipe down equipment with alcohol or Clorox (depending on what you're wiping) after use. Come support my favorite studio!! :)

Tried the Lyra class for all levels as a beginner with a push from a friend who wanted to try something new. Instructions were clear, concise and easy to follow what to do directions. Instructors were approachable and gave great coaching. I would consider returning. Plenty of space and sign up with booking online.

Revel owner, Jenn!! Sweet owner, badass teacher

Revel is back open in studio with limited space! Better be on it to get your spot. Felt very safe and comfortable. Masks on the entire time (which wasn't too bad at all), wash hands entering and leaving, temperature taken before entering, thoroughly sanitize equipment used and social distanced. All the instructors are amazing, kind, informative with different teaching styles for you to better understand the moves, patient, and most importantly, truly value your safety. 100% recommend!!!

Surprise bachelorette pole dancing for my friend taught by Jenn!

I booked a private beginners pole dancing class with Jenn as a surprise bachelorette for my friend. Jenn was super welcoming and sweet upon arrival. It was both our first times pole dancing and Jenn made us feel very comfortable and explained everything clearly. She did not rush us even though we went a little past our 60 minute class. Jenn came up with an easy choreographed pole dancing class. It was challenging but do-able. I did not feel any judgement from Jenn and felt at home. The studio was very clean, spacious and followed all COVID protocols. I would highly recommend beginners to come and take Jenns class. She is amazing!

Took my very first pole class ever last night with Jenn as the instructor! She is super nice and outgoing. She took the time to remember everyone's names. At first I was a bit nervous to take this class because I didn't want to fall on my face or something, but it was extremely fun and I plan to return again. I went with a group of friends and people I have come across through orange theory, so it was cool that our class was a bit more intimate. I won't feel intimidated or insecure during my next class even if there will be other people. Jenn really let's you stay at your comfort and helps you achieve the perfect form. The warm up was a little intense lol, but the class in general was really fun. She played great music, which is always a plus! Upon arrival Jenn and Debbie were really welcoming. They gave me a tour of the place. They have a small hang out section with tv, couch and even offered snacks.

They offer both Pole and Aerial classes, each with their own vibe and energy. Pole classes are held in Suite N and tend to have a bolder, more expressive atmosphere. Aerial classes are in Suite O and are usually calmer and more focused on flow and form. Make sure you head to the correct suite depending on your class. When you arrive, just check in with the instructor, or follow the lead of others in the room. Some instructors like to check everyone in personally, while others are more casual about it. It's a no-shoes kind of space. For Aerial, you're usually barefoot or in socks. For Pole, you're either barefoot or in heels depending on the class. I've taken a variety of classes over the years, but these days I'm more focused on Aerial. I especially want to shout out KC, who is my favorite instructor. She's clear, encouraging, and just a great teacher overall. Her classes are the perfect mix of supportive and challenging, and I always leave feeling stronger and more confident. I've been a student since the studio was called Poletential, back when it was under different ownership. It's been great to see the space evolve while still staying a welcoming and empowering place to train.

We were both complete beginners to trapeze so it was going to be an experience to start. I think overall it was very interesting and the other people who were in the class were definitely expert level including our instructor who was absolutely phenomenal in perfecting his craft. I think there were a few drawbacks that would prevent us from coming back here which include: 1) The instructor got quite frustrated/visibly upset at us when I fell after trying to balance myself. It was a bit odd because as beginners, we're there to learn, make mistakes and build confidence especially in an environment completely new for the both of us. We felt like it was unprofessional side and both def felt discouraged even though we laughed it off in person. We are both grew up in the dance community, so we know how toxic it can be to have teachers like this who react out of frustration vs support but we're not children anymore who are actively trying to hurt ourselves. I think it's entirely possible for this place to enforce safety without snapping at or shaming students. 2) This place COVID vaxx checks still. My friend and I have no issue with showing this as we're we've both got this done plus boosters since the start of the pandemic. It's a business' respective choice to ask for this 100% but it did feel a little outdated given it's the Summer of 2025 and we both haven't had to show proof of this in over 3 years. I'm still glad we tried this together and though we will likely never come back, I hope future classes foster a more positive and welcoming tone, especially for first-timers!

I've attended classes with Ly, Yisha, Jane, Yoko, Jo, Katya, and some other guest and sub instructors. There are a variety of classes offered for a fair price point. Each instructor has their own teaching style, but they all focus on student success and encouragement. I originally started pole dancing as a way to honor myself and my body, and with the help of the instructors, I've gained a level of self confidence that I never had. If I ever need to cancel class, Ly always checks to make sure I'm okay and asks if I need anything. Even though she has a lot of students, she's very caring and mindful of each individual. The classes are structured with a warm up, the instruction and practice, time to record/practice independently, and a cool down. The instructors provide hands on spotting throughout class and will walk you through any move to ensure safe techniques to avoid injury or troubleshoot if a move isn't working for you. Instructors will also provide simpler or more advanced variations of one move to ensure access and a challenge for each student. I am a pretty sensitive and shy person, but the community at this studio helps me break out of my comfort zone with a lot of positive encouragement. I highly recommend Ly's pole studio for your aerial arts journey.

Upon arrival, the instructor inspected my nails, handed me a nail clipper, and told me to cut them even shorter. I've trained at multiple studios, including Circus Center in SF, and have never had this requirement taken to this extreme. The studio uses an aerial rig that requires tying on a frame, and when I didn't know how to adjust the silks, the instructor seemed annoyed at having to explain it. During the class, she demonstrated a silks sequence twice, expected us to follow, and when I had difficulty, she told me to move to the Level 1 class. So, my second (and final) visit was to Aerial Silks Level 1. Asia still seemed irritated that I didn't instantly know how to rig the setup; this was only my second time there. Class started 15 minutes late, with just three students total. We then spent the entire hour doing inverts in a knot behind the back. I'm not exaggerating, nothing else for the whole session. When I asked to try something different, I was ignored and told we wouldn't move forward until my invert had zero knee bend. After 30 minutes of nonstop inverts, anyone's legs would fatigue. I've never had such an unpleasant, condescending experience with a teacher. I wasted a session credit on a class that not only started late but also taught me nothing.

It's exhilarating, it's a little scary because it's so different, but it's addicting. I had muscles hurt the next day that I didn't even realize I was using. The best part about it (besides the fact that you can go flying through the air) is that my knees and ankles didn't absorb the impact like it would in a normal jump or burpee or jog. This is great for all people, big, small, athletic or not, if you try something and you don't quite get it, it's ok you're tethered to the beams above. I made a reservation ahead of time, I did a drop in "Intro to Bungee" class $45 because I was just visiting from out of town, but everytime I'm in the bay area I am gonna come back because it was that awesome. Everyone is required to do the Intro class first, and even though my instructor (shout out Malcolm, he was pure awesome-ness!) said I could move onto Level 1 next time, I would take the intro class again if I had friends that want to try it too. I did get to see some of the Level 1 and Level 2 moves, which looked really hard to do, but THAT IS MY GOAL! I wanna be a flyer! I couldn't stop thinking about this class for the entire plane ride back and then several days after I got back home. P.S. You do have to jump on the scale before class because they need to know how much weight the bungee needs to support. If they went by my drivers license weight or what I *thought* I weighed that day, the bungees would not have supported me and I would've fallen flat on my face.
