She kept the energy up the entire class, checked in on everyone, and made sure we all felt supported with hands-on guidance when needed. I'll be honest, I have zero rhythm and dancing does not come naturally to me, but I had SO much fun. What really stood out was the community. Everyone was so sweet and supportive, and even the other girls in class were offering tips and cheering each other on. My friend and I will definitely be back, it was such a blast. They offer both Pole and Aerial classes, each with their own vibe and energy. Pole classes are held in Suite N and tend to have a bolder, more expressive atmosphere. Aerial classes are in Suite O and are usually calmer and more focused on flow and form. Make sure you head to the correct suite depending on your class. When you arrive, just check in with the instructor, or follow the lead of others in the room. Some instructors like to check everyone in personally, while others are more casual about it. It's a no-shoes kind of space. For Aerial, you're usually barefoot or in socks. For Pole, you're either barefoot or in heels depending on the class. I've taken a variety of classes over the years, but these days I'm more focused on Aerial. I especially want to shout out KC, who is my favorite instructor. She's clear, encouraging, and just a great teacher overall. Her classes are the perfect mix of supportive and challenging, and I always leave feeling stronger and more confident. I've been a student since the studio was called Poletential, back when it was under different ownership. It's been great to see the space evolve while still staying a welcoming and empowering place to train.

Mark lacks basic knowledge regarding client safety and clearly cares more about collecting fees than protecting his students. Furthermore, he and his staff lack formal training; they started as a group of friends meeting at a park before turning it into a business. I highly advise against taking classes here. I am seriously concerned for the safety of others, especially children. "Only one coach seems to care about teaching. The rest just socialize--for example, one coach only seemed interested in chatting with young girls--while others simply ignore students during open gym, despite the promised professional guidance." Protect Your Safety and Your Hard-Earned Cash!

I called them to ask about the trial period and communication with Mark was fairly easy and straightforward. What's nice is that they have an adult class (Fri 2pm-3pm) now so you don't have to worry about a 7 year old martial arts champion double backflipping over you when you're attempting a cartwheel. Atmosphere is supportive and inviting-- for all ages and genders alike. Everyone I've met there was happy to help and cheer each other on. Sometimes they have famous DJs during their open gym (M/W/F 8pm-10pm, Sat noon) which is also really cool. I've brought my friends and they all love it. Clean bathrooms, knowledgeable instructors. Overall: Teachers-- 5/5 Communication-- 5/5 Ease of payment-- 5/5 Facility/Equipment-- 5/5 Actual learning-- 5/5 (I can do flips now) Ambiance-- 4.5/5 (could use some decor) Will definitely continue to go and probably bring my nieces and nephews next time for the kids tricking. They are incredibly supportive in my growth and skills. I encourage everyone I meet to try it at least twice because the classes are so liberating!! Come prepared with socks, knee pads, a sports bra, and shorts. After warm ups, the first half of class is choreo and the second half is for tricks. Don't BS your technique because the instructors prioritize technique and safe movements!!! The environment is so welcoming, too. I've made friends with the regular girls I see in class. I love how sociable and open everyone is... it makes classes here even better!

I've attended classes with Ly, Yisha, Jane, Yoko, Jo, Katya, and some other guest and sub instructors. There are a variety of classes offered for a fair price point. Each instructor has their own teaching style, but they all focus on student success and encouragement. I originally started pole dancing as a way to honor myself and my body, and with the help of the instructors, I've gained a level of self confidence that I never had. If I ever need to cancel class, Ly always checks to make sure I'm okay and asks if I need anything. Even though she has a lot of students, she's very caring and mindful of each individual. The classes are structured with a warm up, the instruction and practice, time to record/practice independently, and a cool down. The instructors provide hands on spotting throughout class and will walk you through any move to ensure safe techniques to avoid injury or troubleshoot if a move isn't working for you. Instructors will also provide simpler or more advanced variations of one move to ensure access and a challenge for each student. I am a pretty sensitive and shy person, but the community at this studio helps me break out of my comfort zone with a lot of positive encouragement. I highly recommend Ly's pole studio for your aerial arts journey.

He is a passionate, veteran instructor who will also keep you safe. I enjoyed his cues such as smiling, or reminders to slow down and really feel engagement of my body to do certain tricks. I hope to go again! Maybe even check out the aerial yoga class. :) I have been recommending his studio specifically to my friends who are into burlesque, but I also know he'd make any novice feel both comfortable and rewarded with just the right amount of challenge. :)

I had always wanted to try pole dancing and it's so much harder than it looks!!! It was a great way to gauge my strength. I was sore for days after. Our instructor was super knowledgeable and encouraging. Made this newcomer feel super welcome. Would I do it again?? Absolutely. But I do feel I need a bit more strength training in other areas in order to succeed. I still had a lot of fun.
