Got a good 5-star instructor named Krea. I still miss superstars like Valeria and Spencer... hopefully they come back. If the studio can keep getting better instructors hopefully the studio goes back to being good again. Let's see.

The entire practice was framed around "knowing your rights." The instructor began by quizzing us on the first few amendments--"What is the Fourth Amendment?" and similar questions, before launching into discussions of ICE protocols, protest rights, and police interaction limitations. At the end of class, he attempted to recite all ten amendments from the Bill of Rights, asking us to identify each one as he went. For marginalized communities, particularly Latinx, Black, Indigenous, and undocumented populations, these subjects are not theoretical exercises but lived experiences laden with systemic fear and real consequences. The instructor asked if anyone wanted a consent card for physical adjustments but never asked if we consented to having traumatic political topics brought up in what should have been a safe, restorative space. This is a profound violation of basic trauma-informed care principles. Responsible facilitation of these topics requires psychological safety, informed consent, and recognition that those most impacted do not need a civics lesson from a yoga instructor in a space meant for refuge. Yoga's fundamental purpose is nervous system regulation and sanctuary. This session achieved neither. When I addressed this with the instructor afterward, his response was: "I'm still going to talk about this, so how should I do it?" The question itself reveals the problem--believing you have the right to discuss trauma-laden political topics in a wellness space without first asking if you should. This will be my final session with core power. Moving forward, I hope this type of class will not continue. I want to add our rights are being taken every day and people are being killed for what he was suggesting to do. Which was record the police. It's triggering because why are you bringing up if you don't know your right they will be stripped from you?

CorePower Yoga is a popular yoga studio with multiple locations. Lockers and shower areas available. Gift store is decent. There are many different yoga classes to choose from and each provides various exercising yoga forms and stretches to follow. Low mid high intensity workouts. Their program calendar looks amazing and fun. I came in for the one week trial free classes and was grateful for the opportunity to check it out. Great new year resolution with new body goals. I picked high intensity Yoga Sculpt. Full body yoga and cardio workout sweating bullets afterwards. It was a blast and an eye opening experience. It was much better than I had expected. This is hardcore work with high energy music. Yes, you're lifting weights with your arms & legs, as well as doing cardio stretches and more. Totally worth every inch of sweating. Instructor was high energy, motivated & dedicated. She cranked up the heater too/room was hot and good for sweatier results. Must love! People attending the classes are usually working middle class folks and locals. Mature audience. Co-ed/male & female students. Good sized class with 20-30 people desiring a great new year morning yoga workout. Feels very good so far. Yes, everyone is close to each other in space, but floor is marked and you'll definitely feel body heat during the workouts. Some people would want more spread out space especially if they feel too cramped together. Classes and membership fees are pricey, but I can see very good vibes and very good energy here. Natural lighting huge windows. I'll try more sessions into the week. If you like large classes and full body workouts, this can be fun!

There's easy parking on the street or in the garage next door. Since this studio is located by a ton of offices, expect full classes after work hours. BUT I will continue to come every week for Shubha's C2 class. She is amazing and her sequences always keep me on my toes. She's very thoughtful during class - whether that be memorizing all of her students' names or being proactive in correcting form. Would highly recommend everyone interested in yoga to take her class.

Be prepared to reinvent your relationship with your yoga practice…read more Rebel Rise is probably the only yoga studio I have been to that pays respects to the ancient practice and has a huge emphasis on community, all the while deepening and strengthening one's practice. The community here is like no other; the staff and practitioners are genuinely kind and welcoming and there is little space for ego here. The instructors are highly knowledgeable about the asanas and will offer you new ways to engage in your practice, such as making minor adjustments or putting you into proper alignment that will improve your poses like no other. Through engagement, awareness, and reminders to honor your body where it's at (listening to what it needs vs thinking about what you should look like), the instructors guide you to a feeling of fulfillment and relief and an overall appreciation of the sacred temple you call your body. I highly recommend Rebel Rise Studios for anyone that is looking to go deeper into their practice and for anyone seeking that mind-body connection. Definitely give this place a try with an open beginner's mind.

I'd called the studio multiple times to try and let them know that I would be late, but no one picked up the phone. I had done everything I could to do my due diligence but could not plan for the closure. Anyone with empathy would have understood. I was a member at the time, had never asked for an extension before in my history with the studio, and had no way of knowing that a political demonstration would shut down their street to foot and car traffic. When I arrived the woman at the front desk did not even care to ask if I was a member nor check to see if I'd ever requested a late arrival before. She just told me "no". It was really frustrating that she basically shrugged her shoulders and said "its policy" to not let anyone in past 5 minutes when it had been exactly 6. I understand the principle, but if it's someone's first time and they are a paid member (not ClassPass ) then they should be given a one time forgiveness. Despite canceling, I was going to give them benefit of the doubt and not leave a yelp review because they assured me they were genuinely sorry for the experience. That all changed today when I saw that I have been charged not once not twice but THREE times since this incident. Despite signing a form on the spot that day and the manager assuring me, this would not happen. I'd been charged full price of the membership 3x when I had never stepped foot in the studio ever since. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to once again I have to go through the endless loop of trying to get a hold of someone at this business. I would never sign up here because you will never be able to know you are truly canceled.

I saw multiple people look confused as to where to place things back. I asked if there were wipes so I could wipe down my station and was told that the entire studio was disinfected including every single weight, and all towels were washed. I was doubtful since some of the classes on the class schedule were back to back. So basically they're tone policing me and telling me I looked dissatisfied, and then REPORTED me over that. ****I would personally not recommend going to a studio where they ban people for asking questions and being cautious.**** I went to one class and they banned me for asking for help, which is wild. I came early with my coworker and was excited to work out with her. During the class I moved through all the movements and asked for a modification during a lunge. I also asked for help when I wasn't feeling a stretch at the end of class. The instructor simply said "well I guess you just won't feel it then" and walked away. Other than that, I did not interact with the instructor. 2 days later I received an email saying I was banned because of my "behavior toward the instructor." I think this decision was more about the instructor's ego than anything else. I definitely don't recommend coming here unless you are someone with no fitness background and would rather be in silent pain than ask for help. And don't even bother if you have any sort of problems at all! Knee injury? Back pain? "Guess you just won't feel it then."
