I usually go to the Campbell location through ClassPass, but I tried this studio through for free C2 community class led by instructors in training. It was fun! The class was small with the same number of students as instructors, about 12 people total. I received helpful hands-on assistance by an instructor during the class for a balancing pose. The class was nicely heated 97-98 degrees and the flow was a good challenge since I don't practice too regularly. Parking can be a menace so come a bit early to weave through the busy shopping plaza to the far side of the parking lot (go past the Wholefoods and all the way over to the Il Fornaio restaurant side). Then take a 5 min walk over to the second floor of the building where corepower is located. read more

Attended a yoga class today that revealed a critical issue within wellness spaces: performative activism disguised as wellness practice. I still can't believe what I experienced. The entire practice was framed around "knowing your rights." The instructor began by quizzing us on the first few amendments--"What is the Fourth Amendment?" and similar questions, before launching into discussions of ICE protocols, protest rights, and police interaction limitations. At the end of class, he attempted to recite all ten amendments from the Bill of Rights, asking us to identify each one as he went. For marginalized communities, particularly Latinx, Black, Indigenous, and undocumented populations, these subjects are not theoretical exercises but lived experiences laden with systemic fear and real consequences. The instructor asked if anyone wanted a consent card for physical adjustments but never asked if we consented to having traumatic political topics brought up in what should have been a safe, restorative space. This is a profound violation of basic trauma-informed care principles. Responsible facilitation of these topics requires psychological safety, informed consent, and recognition that those most impacted do not need a civics lesson from a yoga instructor in a space meant for refuge. Yoga's fundamental purpose is nervous system regulation and sanctuary. This session achieved neither. When I addressed this with the instructor afterward, his response was: "I'm still going to talk about this, so how should I do it?" The question itself reveals the problem--believing you have the right to discuss trauma-laden political topics in a wellness space without first asking if you should. This will be my final session with core power. Moving forward, I hope this type of class will not continue. I want to add our rights are being taken every day and people are being killed for what he was suggesting to do. Which was record the police. Great location and solid classes. The studio is easy to get to, plenty of parking in the plaza (sometimes it gets a bit busy, so arrive earlier), and the space feels clean and well-organized. I started with the free week trial at CorePower and now I'm already signed up for my second month! At first I wasn't sure how I'd do since I have a pretty low heat tolerance, so I stuck to the non-heated classes. But little by little I'm building up and getting more comfortable. I'm really looking forward to trying the Transitions CorePower 1.5 class and eventually working my way up to CP2! My absolute favorite classes so far are CP1 candlelight with Geraldine on Tuesdays and CP1 with Winnie on Saturdays. They're both amazing instructors, super motivating, supportive, and make every class such a positive experience. The studio itself is great. Big, clean, and really welcoming. Everyone is always super welcoming and has a smile on their face. Overall, I love this place and I'm so glad I gave it a try. read more

They have accessible showers, and the location is super convenient with food spots and Whole Foods in the same plaza. However you should arrive early during the week after work hours because the parking could get really tough! Hot yoga is seriously addicting and highly recommend! read more

TL;DR: After a positive one-month intro at CorePower Santa Clara, corporate banned me from all studios under the label 'aggressive and disruptive'. No concrete incident was ever put to me. I asked twice for specifics in writing. None were ever provided. I did the one-month intro at CorePower Santa Clara. I went often, worked hard, lost weight, and improved my mobility. When the month ended, I left a Yelp review focusing on the positive: physical benefits and instructors I'd liked, even though some interactions already felt off. In one class, the instructor handed consent cards to everyone around me, explaining what they were for, but skipped me with no explanation. After that class, while I was using my foam roller, still within posted hours, she told me "I need you to leave, I have to be out of here in two minutes", even though there was more time on the clock. Nothing was framed as a clear policy; it felt personally directed. On another day around 1:10 pm, after class, a different instructor saw me walk toward the men's locker room, called my name from the front desk and loudly told me she had to leave by 2:00 pm and that I needed to be quick. I acknowledged and went in. She then walked partway into the men's locker room entrance, called my name again and repeated herself, singling me out and demanding an answer, even though I was well within the posted locker-room window and there were other men in the room. The tone and "leave now" message matched the earlier "I need you to leave", and I silently wondered if I'd been labeled "the late guy". I thanked her for the class and left. Weeks later, I got an email from a Senior Customer Experience Manager banning me from all CorePower studios pending a phone call about vague "concerns that were brought to our attention". No dates, no incidents, no written policy cited. When I asked for specifics in writing - what behavior, on what dates, from staff or members, and which policy it supposedly violated - the only answer I was given was that there had been "complaints about [my] behavior in the studio being aggressive and disruptive". I asked again for incident-level detail. None has ever been provided, and nothing about any "aggressive" or "disruptive" behavior was ever raised with me while I was a member. I'm permanently banned from all studios under the label "aggressive and disruptive", with no concrete incident, date, or policy violation ever put to me. Banning a member from every studio before any conversation, with no specific allegation stated, is hostile and aggressive. The only aggressive act here was corporate banning me from every studio under the label "aggressive and disruptive", casting themselves as the victim. Apparently gossip and manipulative bullying are how CPY practices "mindfulness", and yelling into the men's room isn't considered disruptive at all - it's how they're forced manage a member they've deemed a problem. That's projection and scapegoating, not mindfulness. read more

Did the free trial week here and it was great! All of the instructors and staff are friendly and give clear instructions so it's easy to follow along even if you're a beginner. The place is also pretty clean and they have wipes available. For C1 classes, they were always pretty empty. However, the one C2 class we took was insanely packed. Every time I moved, I was touching the walls. I rly wished they put a limit on classes because there literally was not enough space for everyone. They also have cubbies / lockers (you need to bring your own lock). I didn't feel super comfortable leaving my stuff out in the open, so I wish they had lockers that locked. read more

Great studio with friendly teachers! The entrance was the main reason why I haven't gone to this studio previously - but it was way easier to locate than I had heard! I've been coming to this studio for almost a year now and highly recommend it. My anxiety and depression was reduced significantly! I started off on a free trial week and loved it so much I decided to join. I've tried a lot of the instructors and all of the classes, I really don't have a favorite because everyone is so great and offers clear instructions. They have a wide variety of class sessions and times. The studio is clean (yes, someone wipes the sweat on the floor from the previous class with cleaner) and they often have the lights dimmed which I prefer because it sets the tone. The evening classes do get pretty busy so you really can't mind flowing inches away from someone. The only downside to that is carry over sweat and smells. I've seen a few instructors light incense which helps! Despite the reminders to not talk or bring your phone in, people still do. Kinda annoying but not everyone is a rule follower like me read more

I was 30 minutes early to my class to snag my spot (as I usually do since it gets packed sometimes), and came across THERESA S. She was so RUDE that my partner and I decided to leave. THERESA opened the door for us & said we were way too early and to wait. We both proceeded inside with another person to wait. I walked to the desk to check in & she immediately said in the rudest tone, "your too early, the instructor isn't even here yet. You should've just waited outside the door. You can wait now". So you're saying we wait outside the door just to wait for our instructor while everyone else is waiting inside?? 5 min later, my instructor walked in & Theresa said, "you have a handful of students waiting for you and I made it so clear for them that they are way too early." *note: my instructor was in no way late or anything* Mind you, if you've ever took a yoga sculpt class it gets packed sometimes everyone usually comes 30 min early to set up. I've been coming here for months and the front desk has never had a problem checking us in 30 min early. Also, everyone at the front desk doesn't mind checking in students not in their class. However, Theresa is very rude and doesn't even care for her co-workers that she refused to check us in. If you see THERESA S. on the schedule DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. Matter of fact, steer clear away from her. She will definitely ruin your mood and make u not want to come here. As far as the instructors they are so lovely and wonderful!! Pros Clean facilities. Locker room was spotless! Plenty of space during 7am weekday class. Warm welcome from the instructor at the front desk. Cons No hands on adjustments - I don't know that I would improve my form here. It feels icky to accidentally step in someone else's sweat puddles on the way out. Music was too loud and the lyrics would blast over the instructor's voice. I found it odd and a bit jarring that they added some mat Pilates in the middle of the C2 class. Suddenly Miley Cyrus was blasting and I was doing bicycles. Not yoga. Then we went back to yoga. Not really the flow I was looking for. P.S. C2 is described as "moderate" heat on the website, compared to "intense" heat in their other classes. It felt like hot yoga to me - the temp started at 88 at the beginning of the class. I NEEDED the heat today, so I booked a class on ClassPass. Signed up for the CorePower Yoga 2 (was very glad to see it wasn't Sculpt because I just needed to stretch and the time was perfect). The instructor Donna was so earnest, sweet, and humbled. Felt like being guided by a friend. At the end of class, we spoke briefly, and she told me she felt my warm energy as evidenced by me making eye contact with her and smiling during class. A beautiful compliment that will carry me through the whole week! Can't wait to go back. Pro tip: bring a change of clothes- you will be soaked in sweat, and it's always nice to have something dry to wear afterwards, so you don't have to sit in your car in smelly leggings. read more

Hot yoga on a Sunday evening is the best way to end the week! My bf, his friend, and I signed up for their one week free pass (which you can get if you've never been to CorePower Yoga). I've done yoga in the past before. And I like to weight lift. But yoga is nothing like weightlifting! It definitely tests your true strength!! Balance! Lol our instructor today was Abby and she was amazing! This was probably the best yoga class I've gone to. Although I was expecting it to be HOT like a sauna, it wasn't actually that bad. The hour yoga class flew by fast, and I came out feeling super relaxed and connected with my inner self. I highly recommend trying core power yoga out! There is a parking lot you can park in. They have many locations throughout Santa Clara County. And their employees are super nice! read more

Nothing beats hot yoga after a hard day's work. This has been my thought since starting this relaxing and intimate practice with Corepower. However, that has all changed after a very rude interaction with staff. Upon arriving at the Santa Clara studio about 6-7 minutes late to my class, i felt confident that i made the right decision to step out of work to make time for myself in a C2 class. The studio door was completely locked without any sign or explanation. After knocking for 2 minutes, a blonde woman came to explain she closed the door at 5:35 and would not allow me to come in. This felt completely unreasonable after all the traffic and rush i had gone through to show up. I was prepared to quietly enter the room and enjoy the practice i paid for. I explained I had ran to this class, however she showed me no empathy or explanation, told me to email customer service and shut the door on my face. I recommend you instruct your staff to not do this kind of behavior to customers. I can understand policy agreements, but there is no excuse for being rude or curt with a customer. I've just completed my first 5 class pass with corepower and have never dealt with such a difficult staff member. Please send this feedback to that individual (wednesday 5:30 C2) and manager. I also recommend making this policy very clear instead of trying to push packages onto customers without fully explaining or guiding them through the terms and expectations. Yoga is about dealing with the uncertain and staying grounded in the present with intention and purpose. Please teach your staff kindness and respect at least. read more

I love this location! I tried out classes with their free week offer and fell in love with the glutes and sculpt classes. I really enjoy Cynthia and Ayrin's classes, they have amazing energy and really motivate you when it gets hard lol. I have a tough time pushing myself at the gym, but these classes have helped me improve my endurance and strength A LOT. Im super excited to continue coming here especially since I can see my body transforming pretty quickly :). read more

Didn't get to experience class. I got here early about 15 minutes. I'm new to the area so I did not know how hard it was to actually find parking. Looks nice and professional. @madeline you should have a notice or warning letting people know the parking situation at this location. I was told when i got here there is parking for this location. Instead of shutting people out of door, it's easy to have a warning ahead of time. So I would make the u turn if I knew there's no way to make it in the traffic and save couple hours! Was literally touching the next person, I was accidentally kicked during one of the poses. Makes no sense that they are not limiting the amount of students per class. Missing one of my favorite managers and teachers at this studio Cynthia S. She was my favorite instructor and abruptly left. She had a whole following and no one knows why she was let go. Signed up 2 years ago and have been attending different studios throughout Santa Clara county. My experience has always been amazing. People complaining about parking, just be there with plenty of time and you should be fine. Door is locked before class, yes of course I want the class to start on time so it can finish on time. I don't get all this complaining when management is just doing their job. Plan ahead and you won't be late, it's that simple. I was planning on meeting with a friend for dinner in Santa Clara Square. I saw that there was a Corepower Yoga in the same plaza, so I figured why not recenter, ground myself, and burn off a few calories before eating and drinking. The Corepower yoga studio was located on the second level of the building with Sur La Table and Lulu's chocolates. The facilities were clean, decor was trendy, and the vibes felt corporate (as do all Corepower Yoga studios in my opinion). The check-in process went smoothly. I was in the system already but apparently haven't used my free week trial. Talk about abundant universe! I was prepared to pay for a drop-in class, so it was nice that I got to get in for free. Unfortunately it's going to go to waste, because I do have a local studio that I'm already a member of and this Corepower franchise location is super out of the way for me. I took Diana's C2 class, which was at 6:15pm on a Tuesday. What an energizing class! She had a good mix of traditional and power poses during the flows. I appreciated the lovely affirmations she spoke during the practice. I also loved that she offered modifications and encouraged us to do inversions and arm balances. Either the walls are too thin or the sculpt instructor next door was playing music too loud. Our room was vibrating to the bass coming from the one next door. I thought this was a bit disruptive especially during the final savasana. read more

CPY is new yoga studio located in Santa Clara Square, right off the 101. They're on the second floor above Books Inc. The door to get upstairs is on the farther end away from Whole Foods. Love the space. Rentals for towels are $1 and mats are $2 (free when it's your first visit). They also sell Alo Yoga, Beyond Yoga, Free People yoga attire and whatever else you may need (mats, towels, blocks). I've tried Yoga Sculpt, C1, C2, and HPF. My favorite classes would have to be C2 and HPF. All are a really good workout and I feel so rejuvenated after. These classes have made me sweat like no other which says something since it takes a lot for me to sweat. I appreciate that they extended my free week trial to two weeks when they first opened. I've enjoyed it so much I purchased the black tag membership. Instructors usually stay 30 mins after class if you wanna chat. Personally, I prefer this CPY to the Winchester location. read more

I came to this CorePower Yoga and did a trial which is unlimited classes for a week. The studio is kind of hidden. You have to go up a flight of stairs in between a few storefronts. There's plenty of parking in the shopping complex. As being a first time guest, the team members were super friendly and helpful! They made me feel welcome and prepped for the class. I went to a few sessions of C1 with Yvonne in the late mornings/early afternoons and they were semi full but not crowded. C1 is their most beginner-friendly course, not heated but the room is still warm from previously classes. I'm not the most practiced yogi but I do have some experience and I would describe C1 as a pretty good class for people in the stage I'm in - you dabble in the yoga. For beginners it also seems friendly as Yvonne was a very good instructor and did a great job demonstrating alternative poses. One thing I didn't like is that I did go to this class more than once and found that is was the same exact class every time. I'm not sure if that changes with instructor, location, day etc. This is the only reason why I can't give 5 stars to this CorePower. I took one Yoga Sculpt class with Hesham... RIP forreal. The class was PACKED and he will call out all of the fresh meat just a warning! But in a fun way! Hesham was hilarious he told funny stories and made jokes during the workout. And WOW did he kick our butts! This class is more aerobics than yoga. Seriously the floor was basically a lake by the end of class, everyone was exhausted! He's the kind of instructor where he says "2 more" and everyone in unison groans. That's what I call a workout! Also be extra aware for the "tequila shots"... I had a great time at this CorePower. This is one of my favorite yoga studios in South Bay. I started taking the yoga sculpt classes with Martin and have noticed a significant difference in my cardio and overall strength. Highly recommend Martin's classes, he's very motivational and has a great play list to keep you going even when you want to be anywhere but in a workout class. I like that they have both traditional yoga and cardio/ strength training type classes so there's someone for everyone. Yes the classes are pricey but you really get what you pay for. The studio is incredibly clean with plenty of storage space for shoes and belongings and there's always weights available for the classes along with cleaning supplies for after class. I've only had positive experiences here and would recommend getting a class pack if you're not ready to commit to a membership. There's plenty of parking for the morning classes as it's by a shopping center. They're located upstairs. Make sure to come early to check in because classes stick to the schedule, which I really appreciate. One of my favorite things about this studio is 6am classes, great for early birds and if you need to go to work after. read more

Took the C2 with Valeria who cranked the heat and humidity to hotter than an HPF class - and gave cues while sitting against the wall by the door and drinking Starbucks 99% of the time as half the class gave up!! She demonstrated, at most, 2-3 poses and kept using odd language like: downward DOGGY DOG. Huh?! Was this even yoga? Lazy teaching. This studio has gone downhill. read more

I've been going to this studio for about a year now and love it. If you want really challenging but creative flows, take Ayrin or Cynthia's classes. If you are more inclined for feel-good flows that are not too taxing on your body, I like to go to Valeria, Jessica, Liane, or Spencer's classes. All instructors were good, they just have slightly different styles. I wish there were more C1 classes though, so that my SO who has never done yoga can come and take the class. C2 is not exactly beginner friendly just FYI. They expect you to know the names of basic poses like downward facing dog, high to low plank, warrior 1/2/3, etc. I recommend you go early as the parking lot it always busy on weekdays after 5pm, like 15-30minutes early. Being a minute too late will get you to miss the class entirely, as you will have to stop the class and get people to move their mats for you, and that's probably why they don't allow late entries. read more

This location - BEYOND 5 STARS!!! This is by far the best studio I've ever been to and I'm still continuing my yoga practice journey here. Love the high ceiling staircase entrance to the studio. The studio is located one level up from the ground (above Lulu's chocolate shop) and the main entrance is on the side of Lulu's. Elisabeth, the studio manager, just nails it when it comes to managing an excellent show and also pulling great teachers together at this location. All the teachers working here are amazing. I'm a huge fan of the overall positive and very lively vibe here. Cleanliness part - Neat & Tidy Reception staff (they keep changing according to yoga teaching schedules) - Super cool, friendly & professional greetings always. CPY is the best yoga studio ever! The teachers are out of this league, the uppity EDM music keeps you motivated while you're dripping sweat into your nostrils during inversions, and you'll sweat in places you have never sweat before. Did you know your elbows can sweat?! You're welcome. Now you know! C1 classes are always the same sequence, usually taught by newly certified teachers. C2 classes are what I love- its hotter than C1, the teachers are more senior, create their own innovative sequences to keep you interested in a variety of fun/challenging poses, and the music is always amazing. HPF is like a CorePower version of bikram, but even hotter than C2- sometimes unbearably hot... Sculpt is what I call a militant yoga ass-kicking. 90% hell by squats, I usually swear I'll never do sculpt again because I can't walk for 3 days after so many squats, but i usually go back a month later just to regret it (haha) again. It hurts so good.... Their shop has all of the hippest yoga gear from Manduka, Spiritual Gangter, Swell, etc. Student discounts, military discounts, and work group discounts are offered for unlimited black tag membership.
