    A towel for $42 :/

I like CorePower Yoga sequences because I wanted a secular yoga studio, I think the only thing that all instructors do is at the end they say namaste. This brand offers a class with meditation about once a week if you are into that. If you are into the yoga with spiritual/meditation that's like slow and not going to help you lose weight then this isn't the place for you, save your $220/mon for something else. I liken CorePower to circuit training masked in yoga poses. All classes offer cardio, core, strengthening upper body and legs, and balance. This what I was looking for, so after my free trial, I decided this is best for my goals. I've tried 4 locations so far, Golden Triangle is a location that offers some of earliest times (6am) for weekdays. Also what I liked. I've gone at 6am classes and I've gone to 6pm classes. And I've done weekend and 2 classes back-to-back. Obviously 6a on a weekday is less crowded (2-10 ppl) and the evening classes are packed like sardines, I think my neighbor touched my foot by accident once, that's how close we were. Haha, I wonder what the max is because you could get waitlisted. Weekend mornings are not offered at every location, so it can be crowded. Which reminds me to touch upon a somewhat annoying thing about this place, you either use the app or go into your browser to sign up for your classes. Ugh, I don't want to dl another app but fine... ALSO, this hasn't happened to me (yet), but if you are late to a class you signed up for, you will be charged $15, even if you are 1-2 min late you are at the mercy of the instructor. I think that's a strict policy for all yoga studios anyway. So you think, hey I can just sign up just before class or in-person right? Not necessarily, if an instructor sees that there are no people signed up, they could cancel the class. Thankfully the app is pretty user friendly and intuitive. Just hope you never are late. These are the classes I tried: CorePower 1 (C1): no heater on, the instructor describes and demos the different poses, also offers easier variations to suit your level. There were hands on adjustments. I suggest you take this one first so you are used to the way they speak and guide you through the poses. Those names of poses are also used in higher levels. The class I tried had about 3 breaks guided in. CorePower 2 (C2): heater on, no breaks guided in, you take your own breaks as you need to. No weights but blocks are suggested. They design the exercise like you move through one cycle, and then it repeats 2x, and each time gets faster and more challenging. The step from C1 to C2 is a big difference. I'd say C1 feels like slow jogging for 20 min, and C2 feels like you ran for 40, a sprint here and there, then you have to do Core work, oh and it's 90 degrees. No hands-on adjustments unless you are really really off and the instructor has found a good time to help you. They have to follow cues to get to the next pose and they fly through them. Yoga Sculpt (YS). Heater on, the breaks aren't guided in, you take it when you need too. You use 2 sets of weights, lighter weight and a heavier weight. They have 3lb, 5lb, and I don't know the rest because I haven't gotten there yet. I'm sure there is probably 8lb and 10 lbs. So this class is a good step up from C2, so if you're bored in C2, YS will increase in intensity a few notches and you will feel like you sprinted a 10k in 90degrees. No hands on instruction, you won't really be in those poses long anyway... ehh I take that back, you will be "chair" a lot so you better know how to sit in your "chair." Can someone explain to me why yoga clothes are so expensive? I assume all studios sell expensive clothes.

    Mimi S.

Pretty much on par with CorePower Yoga standards. Golden Triangle is a smaller studio compared to Santa Clara Square's. The 2 rooms do have pillars in the middle that you have to set up around. Parking is available on the street or garage. I enjoyed Roxy and Kalista's classes here.

Parking is right after the Yoga center, in the same lane!

I saw multiple people look confused as to where to place things back. I asked if there were wipes so I could wipe down my station and was told that the entire studio was disinfected including every single weight, and all towels were washed. I was doubtful since some of the classes on the class schedule were back to back. So basically they're tone policing me and telling me I looked dissatisfied, and then REPORTED me over that. ****I would personally not recommend going to a studio where they ban people for asking questions and being cautious.**** I went to one class and they banned me for asking for help, which is wild. I came early with my coworker and was excited to work out with her. During the class I moved through all the movements and asked for a modification during a lunge. I also asked for help when I wasn't feeling a stretch at the end of class. The instructor simply said "well I guess you just won't feel it then" and walked away. Other than that, I did not interact with the instructor. 2 days later I received an email saying I was banned because of my "behavior toward the instructor." I think this decision was more about the instructor's ego than anything else. I definitely don't recommend coming here unless you are someone with no fitness background and would rather be in silent pain than ask for help. And don't even bother if you have any sort of problems at all! Knee injury? Back pain? "Guess you just won't feel it then." I also want to share that I had an alternative experience at a local yoga studio where I was tentative about things and despite that, everyone made me feel incredibly welcome and invited me back. Even though it wasn't my cup of tea, I gave it a fair shot and have nothing but great things to say about the studio and team there and reviewed it accordingly. It really doesn't have to end this way, but some businesses are just really feedback-averse and that's disappointing to see.

I was a member at the time, had never asked for an extension before in my history with the studio, and had no way of knowing that a political demonstration would shut down their street to foot and car traffic. When I arrived the woman at the front desk did not even care to ask if I was a member nor check to see if I'd ever requested a late arrival before. She just told me "no". It was really frustrating that she basically shrugged her shoulders and said "its policy" to not let anyone in past 5 minutes when it had been exactly 6.
