This was my first time at Crave Yoga with Kelsey and I loved it so much! My Yoga lesson was focusing more on the stretch and relaxing, which was what I needed on Fridays evening. I am surprised this place has so few reviews on Yelp, this is definitely a secret gem. There are different options with membership to choose from. The space is so nice and spacious with high ceilings, very comfy and has AC! There is a restroom and a changing room, 2 entrances with the racks to leave you shoes before the entrance. The parking is in front of the entrance, it is not big, but you can park a bit further and just walk there. It is close by to the Mountain View Downtown. read more

Crave Yoga is an outstanding yoga studio. I've been practicing yoga here for the past 7 months and have truly appreciated how much the decision to become a member has positively impacted my life. The studio location is convenient to the freeway and downtown Mountain View. There is also a walking/biking trail access nearby in case you want to take a stroll before or after class. The studio itself has plenty of parking and amenities such as a filtered water station, full bathroom, changing area, towels, equipment, and spray bottles for mat cleaning. The key reason I love this studio is the other members and the instructors. From my first class at Crave, I've noticed the friendliness from other members. People are welcoming and kind, more than I've encountered at other studios. The instructors are all excellent. Each one has their own style and they are free to represent themselves through music or silence and non-formulaic sequences that are easy to follow. Any person interested in trying yoga for the first time, or an experienced practitioner, will find an instructor and routine that offers what they are looking for, from fast-paced Vinyasa flow, to gentle restorative, sound-bath, or classes specifically for expecting mothers. The schedule is varied in terms of different yoga styles offered different days/times throughout the week. Lastly, pricing is very fair and reasonable. I appreciate that they do not have enrollment fees and the 2-week intro offer for new members was what hooked me in from the beginning. I LOVE Crave! This is a spectacular yoga studio and I look forward to every class that I do here. Every teacher is exceptional and I've never had a class that I didn't love. They offer a variety of types of yoga classes and a lot of different class times each day. It's always very easy for me to find a class that works with my schedule. Ever since Avalon Yoga closed down in Palo Alto, I've been searching for a new yoga studio. I finally found it! Crave Yoga is a warm, welcoming community with great classes, knowledgeable instructors, and a clean, spacious yoga studio. After signing up for the 2 week pass and enjoying every moment of it, I signed up for the monthly membership. Helena, the owner, is incredibly kind and welcoming as are all the teachers and students. Some of my favorite instructors from Avalon Yoga are also teaching at Crave Yoga, including Evangeline who offers lovely restorative yoga classes. They offer a wide variety of classes at varying hours of the day. They have a wide variety of fun events like sound healing, kirtan, hot stone restorative yoga, etc. They also have nice studio amenities like a shower, changing room, touch-less water fountain, and AC. I just finished the 200-hour yoga teacher training program at Crave and I recommend it to anyone. Nikki Wong is an excellent teacher and mentor. I can think of three reasons why someone would take a training like this: to deepen their practice, to teach yoga and for personal development. The program exceeded my expectations in all three dimensions. I was pleasantly surprised by how much the program improved my practice. I have practiced yoga for many years and had already received a lot of advice. Thus, I expected some fine-tuning and moderate improvements. The program changed my practice in fundamental ways. As a result, I enjoy yoga more and am more physically fit. Before taking the course, teaching seemed out-of-reach for me, but the program provided me with a framework that demystified teaching. I now feel comfortable teaching and have the foundation that I need to develop into a great teacher. The personal growth is the aspect that I most appreciate from the course. Nikki created a supportive and collaborative environment where the students learn about themselves, the other students and yoga. I would recommend this course for people who are just starting their yoga journey; it will advance them into the practice with a solid foundation. I did the new student intro deal -- 14 days for $69 -- and had such a lovely experience! The teachers and staff are so welcoming, I really felt like everyone I interacted with took the time to get to know me and make sure I was set up for success. They have a delightful array of props that you can just help yourself to. Things to know about the space: the floor is concrete, so you definitely want to grab one of their knee cushions and maybe bring your cushy mat if you have one. It seemed like the classes I took were gently heated, but I never got particularly warm, so if you're a hot yoga person, you might want a sweater. There's no lobby, you just step right into the studio room itself so leave your shoes in the little vestibule and walk in and find the little rolly desk person to check in and say hey! Some teachers did use room sprays or incense or essential oils or sage so be aware that there's a chance for some scents during your practice if that's not your style. read more

This completes my long search for a Restorative yoga class after Avalon went out of business and California Yoga Center did not return its Restorative class to in-studio but continues on ZOOM as if the pandemic went on. I tried it on ZOOM once and it was not my thing, even though I have props at home; I need the real group experience and the presence of a teacher. I have tried Yogasource in Palo Alto and Yoga of Los Altos and neither was to my liking. I was getting discouraged and started believing that I would not be able to find a replacement but ultimately was pleasantly surprised to find it within a walking distance from my apartment! I have attended one class so far. The teacher was Evangeline and she was wonderful. I especially liked the laying of hands by her. I was greeted by Kelsey who was beaming with warmth as she welcomed me and who later took the Restorative class as a student. Later, examining the class schedule on the website, I found out that Kelsey is herself a teacher and that she teaches Yin yoga which I will sample. The room is pleasantly warm and did I not need to cover myself with a blanket for the final shavasana. Typically in restorative practice or in yoga nidra, you need a blanket because the body cools down during shavasana. Restorative yoga is on Sundays at 5PM. I have bought a ten class package and I plan to be back on Sundays when I do not have a midday or evening outing. What better way to prepare for the beginning of next week? This yoga studio is awesome!! This is relatively new (over a year old) and the interiors are modern, tastefully decorated and artsy. Helena who is the owner of the stidio is a vibrant ever-smiling gorgeous person and a fantastic yoga teacher. She constantly seeks feedback and is really open to incorporating new things or fixing any issues promptly. Studio has got the best selection of teachers, it's difficult to pick favorites, the variety is commendable. Multiple styles and class timings are sufficient to accommodate any yoga style and any schedule. Their "crave yoga" app is super user-friendly and I could book or cancel promptly. I am a big fan of slow Vinyasa and can't advocate how much variety they offer. At times, they also arrange free workshops on various techniques - Moto-ki, Ayurveda, Reiki. They also offer all the modern yoga accessories, practically you just have to show up. Their yoga music playlist selection is handpicked and I would totally copy that lol. This complex has its dedicated parking space, additionally tons of street parking in front and back of the studio. Location couldn't be any better, it's right next to Castro street, Mountain View downtown! I have been coming here for more than 6 months, and simply love this place! read more

I finally found my yoga studio! I just finished my first timers unlimited two weeks with Crave Yoga and decided to buy a membership. This studio is everything I was looking for and more. -I love the wide variety of classes across the week at varying times. -I've taken classes with four instructors so far, and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. Joni's slow flow is just what I need on Mondays after work. Nikki's power yoga is a fantastic challenge that really pushed me in just the right way, and Vinyasa & Vino with Celine was such a treat-- you can't beat the yoga and wine combo! --Helena, the owner is so kind and welcoming. She and the studio manager, Sanne, have made me feel welcome and part of the community already. -The studio itself is spacious, clean, beautiful, and never feels packed in-- even when it's a well attended class. -They have everything you need: blocks, bolsters, yoga blankets, even kneeling pads for the knees-- such a nice touch! -There is ample parking in back of the studio with a convenient back entrance if the front parking lot is full. -Other members at the studio have been kind, courteous, and respectful-- some studios have a pretentious feel, and this one does not-- not one bit! -There are many different membership plans or a pay per class option. I've never seen such flexibility at a studio or gym before. I cannot recommend Crave Yoga highly enough. I'm so glad I've finally found my yoga studio. read more

I liked: The teachers are generally good. I came back several times for classes with 2 of the 4 teachers whose classes I took, another teacher was good but kept the studio too hot for my preference, and only one I found to be clearly not for me. I disliked: The studio owner wants the temperature at 78F, which is too hot for my preference, especially for more athletic classes. The walls are painted with murals, which precludes teaching inversions and some advanced standing poses, so these were not taught. The floor is concrete which is quite cold even when the air is quite warm, and I found poses that hung off the mat less pleasant than on wood flooring. Also: I like the traditional flow of a short sit, followed by a series of sun salutations, followed by a series of poses unique to that day's focus. None of the classes that I attended at Crave were that way. Every teacher and every class was unique. I missed the warm-up and rhythm of sun salutations. read more

I havent been at crave yoga long but I absolutely love the space and Helena has been so sweet and accommodating for our prenatal classes with Marti. I've been with Marti since I was 10 weeks pregnant now I am almost 40 weeks and it has been such a an amazing journey with her. Marti's prenatal yoga classes have been the best thing for me throughout my pregnancy. Not only has it helped physically as I go through each trimester, but has been impactful emotionally, spiritually and mentally. Marti has an immense background in prenatal resources and knowledge that she brings to each class. Each class is tailored to the needs of each mama and Marti has this gift to create such a beautiful space for mamas as they prepare to bring their little ones into the world. I am anxiously awaiting my little one's arrival soon, but I am confident because of the support of Marti that I will have a positive birth experience. read more

I was searching for a studio so I could practice yoga regularly. I came across Crave Yoga. They offers first trial for two-week unlimited classes at $69. I signed up for that and took their classes with different teachers. I fell in love with several teachers and decided to join their membership. Their classes are mostly mornings and evenings to accommodate everyone's work schedule. Other than offering different types of classes, the owner and their staff are very attentive. They set up an accessories station with hair ties (which I always forget to bring one), cotton balls etc, changing area and contactless water station. Owner, Helena always cheerful and has small talks with the students. My thing is every studio offers yoga classes but Crave Yoga shows care to their students. Wow, I'm shocked this place doesn't have more positive reviews! My friend and I tried out the two-week unlimited trial together (Basically, if you go to more than two classes, it's an absolute steal). Three classes later, I am deeply impressed. The teachers really vary in style and content, so I'm sure everyone's personal preferences will be different, but I found all three to be really excellent instructors, keeping up a deceptively effortless flow of instructions and movement and focusing on different parts of the body. The studio itself is nicely set up, with all the necessary props (including towels, much appreciated by sweaty folks like myself) on hand. The owner Helena and every instructor I've spoken to has been extremely welcoming--to the point where they actually knew who I was after the second class--and although you can see serious yoga students in the class, I definitely felt that all levels and genders were welcome. The parking lot isn't huge, but as a bonus, there is street parking nearby if needed. I will be very sad when my two weeks run out, as my budget unfortunately doesn't allow for multiple memberships and I will probably prioritize my first love, dance, but I strongly recommend this studio to anyone who is looking for a combination of meditation, stretching and strengthening in a one-hour package! read more

I loved the ambiance of this studio, it's truly a beautiful space, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The classes are geared more towards beginners, with a few intermediate options available. While there are no assigned levels for each class, the teachers allow you to practice at your own level. The studio's focus is more on de-stressing and unwinding after a long day, rather than traditional yoga where time is spent teaching classical poses. The studio's policy of not allowing the use of walls didn't quite work for me personally, as inversions are an important part of yoga and I am looking to advance my practice. That being said, I attended for three months, and it was still a positive experience. read more
