Since then I've taken everything: Level 1.5, advanced beginner with Ryker, lollipop lyra, active flexibility, acro, intermediate, intermediate 2, intermediate 3, heels, sexy chair... if it exists, I've signed up for it. MPF didn't just get me moving, it got me hooked. I started the 6 week pole program for absolute beginners with peacha in January of this year. Came into this with no previous pole experience whatsoever... my main forms of working out are weightlifting, yoga, and pilates reformer , so utilizing a pole as a workout was definitely a shock to my system. i continued with another 6 week program for advanced beginners with lacin. a little more fast paced than the first 6 weeks but you definitely start to piece together a lot of what you learned in the first program. in between classes I attended a lot of open pole to understand what my body was actually doing overall both programs eased me into getting comfortable with the pole - learning basic moves alongside regression or pole conditioning if you can't quite get there yet. through the span of three months, I gained a lot of body confidence (and bruises!!). both peacha and lacin have been excellent instructors- they've made my monday nights eventful and lively :) everyone i've met here so far have been nice and encouraging this studio also offers chair dancing and floorwork! So happy & thankful to have acted on my curiosity. I spontaneously dropped in on a gentle pole class with a friend just for funsies & found a new exercise & hobby of mine. Since then I joined the 6 week absolute beginner pole fitness program that was then extended to another 6 week advanced beginner program. I've recently had my first ever pole class in this studio and I truly loved it. This is such a fun class, it mixes stretching, dancing and core strength all together. I've been doing yoga for years, and never thought I could do this but I was somewhat ok for a beginner class. This was a private class with the owner and the instructor Lacin and she was also fantastic. She has a very positive vibe and is very motivating. She knows what she is doing, she breaks down the poses, provides levels for beginners and explains which muscle groups are used. I truly enjoyed the class and I would certainly do it again. They use stage poles so the poles don't go all the way to the ceiling so the height of the poles are quite short which limits the combos that can be done. They also are lacking mirrors so not all students can see what they look like while doing tricks. There are only a few, thin small short mirrors. This pole studio is also one of the most expensive in the area which I can't justify the price for considering the reasons above, which is unfortunate because this studio is the closest to my home. read more

I've been wanting to attend a pole class for a while now and finally took the plunge last month! I've attended about 4 L1 classes so far and it's so much fun! Lacin is extremely knowledgeable and attentive. The class size is 5 people max (1 person to each pole) so she is able to keep her eye on everyone and make sure you're using proper form to avoid injury. Even though it is Level 1, there are some people who may be farther along and there are some who are complete beginners, and she is able to give everyone instructions based on their skill level. I am so happy to have found this studio! I had been wanting to get back into dancing for a while and had always wanted to try pole. I signed up for their six week beginner pole series and I haven't looked back! The series was a lot of fun. I felt I learned a wide variety of moves in just a short amount of time. Our instructor Peacha was very kind and positive and our cohort was really supportive of one another. Hands down the best decision I've made was to take my first pole class here. Lacin, the instructor and owner of MPF, is the kindest person ever and the biggest cheerleader to her students. She takes the time to really stop and help you gets the moves down; it's like it is a goal of hers to see you doing well. Shes so encouraging, even when I feel like im not doing as well as i want to. So I started taking classes at MPF in the beginning of September, and now I'm addicted and can't stop! Here's a brief overview of all the great things I have to say about this studio: 1) The owner/instructor Lacin is extremely supportive and encouraging, but also pushes you to achieve your potential in a constructive way. 2) The studio is inclusive of all body types, yay! Lacin treats everyone, exactly the same. 3) Everyone I've ever met here is very nice, and it's great to be part of a community that uplifts, and cheers each other on through our journeys. It's now mid-October as I'm writing this, so about a month and a half since I started coming here, and I am very happy with the results so far-not only in terms of physical appearance, but I also feel much stronger, more energetic, and confident because I'm doing all these things I never thought my body could do. On one of my available weekends, I noticed there was a workshop offered and that I would try it since I was still rehabbing my ankle. This was the perfect fit for me! These studios are super clean and organized! And I received A+ service when I had called the day before to ask about the workshop! I attended the Acro Pole and Flow Workshop! What a treat! I started my pole journey nearly six months ago taking the 6 week program for beginners with Peacha. I had very little previous dance experience or flexibility whatsoever. Peacha is such an amazing instructor and really went in depth with the basics and made sure no one was left behind. It will be a year in August since joining MPF. I joined to learn a new skill and make friends, and I continue to make the 2 hour drive to see my pole sisters as we take time for ourselves. The 70 minute classes really make the drive time worth it. Here are classes I've taken: 6week beginner - highly recommend for first timers. The owner, Lacin, taught my cohort. She is a hardworking and bubbly intellectual who genuinely enjoys teaching. She continually pushes is to be our best while also teaching us to work safely within our limits. L1 and L1.5 - taught by Lacin and Ellen. Ellen never fails to make me laugh as hard as she makes me sweat... anytime i book a class with her I know that I'll be challenged and have lots of fun. She can teach any level, and her vibe is so cool and sassy. If a cat could pole dance, it would be her. The conditioning she has taught me has really improved my posture and pole experience. She's open to teaching combos and poses that we bring to her, and she will add her own beautiful style to it. I love watching Ellen dance, and I love being her student. Spin L1/flow - taught by Jody. I have a special place in my heart for Jody. They're quiet, funny, and enjoys challenging us and helping us safely push our limits. I have an old injury that Jody has been able to coach me through into cupids bow and figure head. Their classes are always so much fun! The warm ups and conditioning that they have us do is incredibly helpful. Active flexibility- taught by Jody. A mix of pilates, yoga, and as many push ups as Jody feels like that day. Great workout, highly recommend to anyone. Lollipop - also taught by Jody - this class makes me feel like I'm 7yo at the playground. It's so fun! I've only done two classes, and am already really proud of what I accomplished. Magnetic is a happy place for me. My pole sisters leave their egos at the door, and we all just have a great time learning new skills. Everyone learns at their own pace and that's totally fine at magnetic. All the instructors are really nice people who just want to be there and have fun with us too. I performed in the showcase in April, and kind of messed up the whole thing from nerves, and was never made to be embarrassed.
