I live about 30 mins away, but I'm in Los Gatos often so it's convenient to have a studio nearby that I love. I've been over 5 times so far (whenever I'm in town), and every instructor I've had is equally amazing. The studio is pretty cold when you walk in, but within 5 minutes you're warmed up and it becomes the perfect temperature for a workout. The music is great and this studio is a vibe. New favorite Pilates studio! I was introduced to it by my cousin's gf, who recently became an instructor (s/o to Paris--go take her classes!). What stood out to me was how spacious and aesthetically pleasing the studio is. It gives total "Pilates princess" vibes, and the instructors are so friendly and welcoming. With about 12 reformers, the class size feels intimate, and the instructors do a great job walking around to help correct form and technique. The upbeat, popular music they play adds a motivating energy that makes those tough exercises more bearable! Plus, the reformers are wiped down after each class, and the calming scent in the studio is such a nice touch. What really sets this studio apart from others is that they also offer weight training and HIIT classes which is located next door. If you're looking to mix things up with other forms of exercise, this is the perfect place to do it! Classes are booked through their app, where you can even select your preferred spot. That said, it's a good idea to arrive about 10 minutes early to secure the spot you want. Let's just get to it--I was looking for a studio with comfortable vibes, knowledgeable instructors who could cue anatomical points accurately for physical form improvement, and a studio that actually utilized the reformer with legitimate pilates exercises (e.g. not a place to just do lunges on the machine as warm up, then feet in straps for cooldown--I'm not going to say studio names). I know this sounds like a lot to ask, but I experience this at my local studio and I was looking for this in the Bay Area when I visit family, so I wanted to believe a studio like this existed up here... AND IT DID--RIGHT HERE!!! I actually really liked the 2fer intro package as it allowed 2 different opportunities to try diff teachers and to see if the 2nd time was equally as good (or worse?) than my 1st visit...and both times were equally exceptional. Both teachers (Jessica, Hannah) asked if I was new as I was not a familiar face and ensured to monitor and assist me throughout the class, and yes they were indeed accountable for their words. The instructors also do a great job managing the room by walking and demo'ing each movement wherever the majority of the class is facing forward. The curriculum itself never felt like a cookie cutter robotic template the instructors were reciting off the top of their head. The pilates exercises were very diverse and we utilized the machine from all possible angles. Lastly I was fortunate to speak w/ one of the owners on the phone before my first visit to get a feel for the studio. I am updating my review as I've now almost taken 10 classes. I did have to get used to the technique as before I felt unsteady and doubted if this was really the right workout for me. I really enjoy these classes and what encouraged me was last April they had a sale on a 5-class pack. I would take more classes but it is a little of a trek for me to get here. Don't be discouraged with the classes being booked up. I've got on the wait list multiple times and always have gotten a last minute spot! The instructors have all been wonderful-- I've taken classes with 6 instructors-- Susan was great, Sona, Cindy, Raven, Ajaa and Alisha. 45 minutes is the perfect time for me as I feel one hour is a little long. The exercises are challenging and I love taking a class with people around-- it's motivating. This holiday season I am playing the Fitmas bingo! I usually don't write reviews and no one asked me to. That's how good this place is. I literally went out of my way to encourage everyone to sign up. Literally if you're thinking about it just do it. I have taken about 16 classes and have taken almost every instructor (I'm missing 2) and I love all of them. I've taken multiple classes at different gyms locations/still do and have favorite instructors. I'm so happy to say that I don't have a favorite because all of them are amazing. They have such a positive energy that I look forward to my 7am classes and I'm not even a morning person. But im aspiring to be a morning person and they make it easy because I leave every class so energized. Plus there is so much parking and they care about you by correcting your form. I love it. Been going to x2o (Los Gatos) for over 3 years now, and it is one of the best pilates studios I have ever been to. With high ceilings, space, amazing & passionate instructors, and great music - this studio is fantastic! The instructors are all very passionate about pilates / lagree, and they will make sure you have a solid workout that leaves you sore for a day (or two). Parking is super easy, there is a whole parking lot in front of the studio. There is also weight lifting studio next to it, so you can check that out as well. Ellen, the owner, has done a fantastic job, and she has really built a strong community with x2o. Every time I'm in South Bay, I make sure to visit! MY FAVORITE PLACE! I've been to multiple Pilates studios in the Bay Area and also out of state and this is the best place by far. The instructors are super friendly and welcoming, the studio is clean and spacious, and the classes are challenging but not intimidating. I've been to other studios where the instructors were not friendly and made the classes feel rushed. I really appreciate how the instructors at x2o will correct your form and make sure you're able to get the move down before they move on to the next move. They take the time to learn names and they encourage you to push through the exercises. Stephanie is one of my favorite instructors so I highly recommend taking her classes! If you're looking for a spacious studio with super cute aesthetics, this is your studio! The reformer machines are always wiped down after every use and they're in mint condition! The machines are also a decent distance apart so you won't feel too cramped next to another person. I used to feel intimidated at other Pilates studios because of the different names of each move or not being able to do certain moves, but the instructors will give you beginner level options as well as demonstrate the moves for you. After going to x2o for over a year now, I can say that the classes do not get any easier, but I truly look forward to going every single week! We tried a reformer class yesterday and it was so hard, and so amazing! Megan, our instructor, was awesome-so helpful and kind. Having attended 457 classes since 2021, I can confidently say it's been a transformative fitness journey. The variety of instructors at x2o brings a unique and personalized touch to every class, making each session engaging and challenging. Their distinct styles create a dynamic experience, ensuring that no two classes are ever the same. What sets x2o apart is the unparalleled motivation to keep students coming back--no other studio has captured my dedication to reformer pilates like they have. The welcoming atmosphere, coupled with top-notch instructors, makes x2o an exceptional destination for anyone seeking a fulfilling and invigorating pilates practice. There are two workouts offered: reformer pilates (xFormer Shred Classic) and weightlifting (x2o Elite). I will mostly cover the pilates portion in this review: - If it's your very first time, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking their beginners classes Mondays at 7PM (Intro to XFormer) for a few sessions, show up at least 15 min early AND check in with the instructor; try to sit next to a regular who you can follow along with and - Bring grippy socks (absolutely must wear this and they do sell them), beverage of choice (they sell kombucha, sparkling, and coconut water), and dress in your athletic finest (they also sell clothing) - Sit anywhere you'd like (even though you pre-selected a machine, it doesn't really matter unless you have a preference & then in which case show up early) - Classes are 45 minutes each, 12 students max I've learned over time that the style of pilates offered here is high-intensity low impact on a reformer machine NOT a traditional John Pilates cadillac machine (wood ones with all the pulleys, etc.) The vibes are similar to showing up to a Soul Cycle/ Barry's class vs a barre/ ballet studio. Personally, I think x2o is the most SUPERB studio in the South Bay. All others are... basic and cheugy. I won't mention any names. Outside of membership, each XFormer class is $39, classes are 45 minutes each, 12 students max. $15 penalty if you cancel less than 12 hours before it starts, $20 for no shows. What keeps me returning is the relaxed vibes (they won't harass you to JOIN! Last year I had a one month new member deal because I wanted to try out Pilates for the first time. I absolutely loved it, though it seemed intimidating and the instructor on my first day did not go over the machine with me. Unfortunately the pricing is outrageously high. However, my friend added me as a guest today after many months away. Jessica was the instructor. She was absolutely amazing! She introduced herself, was friendly, went over the machines with my other friends who also bought two classes, asked if we had any injuries, and ensured we felt comfortable. During class she made sure to fix our form as needed, and provided positive and encouraging words throughout the entire class. She was clear with instructions and I didn't feel like I was scrambling trying to figure out what to do. She also checked in with us after class. She made me really enjoy Pilates. Signing up for classes and class packs through the app is so easy! If you sign up as a new customer, you can't buy the 2-class pack and then the discounted unlimited monthly subscription in separate transactions - they both have to be your first purchase. The instructors all have different styles of guiding you through the classes. Make sure to let them know of any injuries as they don't always offer up alternative moves if they don't know that you can't do one. My favorite instructors have been Liz, Pardis, and Sona so far. There are cubbies where you can keep your items during class. I will say that sometimes, while the studio overall is very clean-looking, there's a lot of hair, dust, and lint on the ground, especially under the reformers. Regardless, this has been my favorite pilates studio in the area that I've tried, especially with the low commitment (no several-month-long contracts to sign up front) and modern atmosphere. I have been a member at the studio for a little over a year now and I only have good things to say! All of the instructors are amazing and each of them have such a unique style of teaching. This workout has become part of my weekly routine (4-5 times a week!) and I look forward to coming each time (: I love that there are only about 12-13 machines because it makes it more personable and the instructors are able to focus on each client to correct their form, if needed. I signed up for the 2 classes for $30 and I truly enjoyed the classes! The instructors are professional and good at explaining the moves. To me, personally, first impressions are everything and x2o had me leaving with a bad taste in my mouth. For the past month I've been searching for a place to do Pilates--- after some research x2o sparked the most interest for me to join since the equipment looks brand new and the studio it's self is super cute. Unfortunately, after paying a visit today to check out the studio, I no longer the same motive to even want to join. When my fiancé and I walked in we noticed one of the only employees, Carli, was working out and asked us if she could be any help. We explained that it would be my first time joining this sort of class and just wanted to check it out for ourselves plus get more information. She automatically directed us to going on their website ( which we obviously did before coming in ) and that the info is all there and that she didn't have any of "that information" with her. So was an employee just there for the leisure of working out or...? Must be nice to get paid to just workout :) With that being said, we felt like we interrupted her workout and was given no other option but to leave. If that really was the case, she could've locked the doors and left a note saying she'll be back from break or lunch at a certain time to do her workout or whatever she needed to get done. From my experience working out at several gyms or studios, most employees are welcoming, informative and try their best to get your business... sucks that x2o really lacked and dropped the ball on their end. I really just wanted to like this place and be apart of the x2o fam! My bad experience was with Carli alone and not the owners. If anything, before I decided to visit the studio, I did speak with one of and she was super sweet, professional and informative. As for her husband Dexter, after voicing out my horrible experience--- he was apologetic and understanding of apologetic. He did assure me that he would not only make things right but also address the issue accordingly. Started going to x2o Studio at the end of July this year and must say that this is my comfort place. This studio is so clean, cute, and as welcoming as all of the instructors I've signed up for! I started off my first class with Carli and she was so welcoming and supportive of my first class there. I showed up about 5 minutes before class but Carli took the time to instruct me on how to use the XFormer machine which I appreciated so much. I've taken other instructors as well. Pardis led some slow burn challenging classes that really make you feel it throughout your entire body the next morning but you'll feel lengthier and really stretched. Stephanie's classes make you break a ton of sweat right off the bat with all the lower body resistance and pulse movements. Her track list! Love the inclusion of Kali Uchis at the end when closing out. And Liz's style is all about stability and really focusing on the mind's endurance. Don't be fooled by how calming the class starts. You won't notice when it is that you start shaking and sweating. Overall, x2o has really made a difference in my life in the past month. All the instructors I've taken so far are skilled, so so welcoming and encouraging, and really take the time to ensure you're training properly for long-term stability. About a month of classes here reversed many of the injuries I've gotten from improper self training. After trying one class I really loved I've made it a point to include going to classes here at least once a week with the incentive of having something to add to my routine for fitness and mental clarity. read more

Absolutely obsessed! I am someone who does not enjoy working out, cardio, weight lifting, mat Pilates or yoga and somehow Pilates on the xformer is my jam. I have neck/back pain, wanted to do something to build my strength and after two sessions I'm already seeing improvement in my overall health. The energy in the studio is great and the instructors are really nice with just enough encouragement to push but also considerate of injuries and limitations. I've taken two classes so far with Jessica and Carli and just purchased more classes. I didn't realize there were intro classes so I jumped straight in (thanks Jessica for correcting me throughout the session!) and sweated buckets but it feels so good after (though I was sore for about a week as much as I'd like to go more frequently). X2o is an absolutely fantastic studio, in really all aspects...which truly encompasses several different facets when you consider every operational piece that goes into making a great pilates studio. For one, the equipment is both state of the art and brand new; You'd be very hard pressed to find not only the same mix of equipment present at x2o, but also the quality of the equipment at other studios. Clearly there was great consideration taken when deciding on what pieces to bring in. The space itself is very clean, bright and well lit, large and welcoming, which is incredibly important during these times, especially to the discerning consumer who wants a great workout, while being adequately socially distanced from fellow classmates. X2o cuts no corners when it comes to sanitation protocol and really keeps the customers best interest in mind when doing so. Finally, the staff is outstanding. Just finished my first class and LOVED IT! The studio aesthetic is a vibe and totally Instagram worthy! I love how modern the machines are and clean everything was! I purchased a 2 class pack for $30 before I commit to a membership because I have tried a few other places in Campbell and Saratoga but I didn't like the energy there. I just booked my second class and will sign up for a mini membership which runs about $110 a month. I love how affordable they are all the different options they have to fit your budget and schedule. I had two kids back to back during the pandemic who are toddlers now and work er hospital swing hours so I love the inspiration and motivation I felt at X2o studio to get back putting my health first again! I took the 9:15am class on 8/7/22 and the instructor was super sweet and informative walking me through the machine and positions since I'm a newbie. read more

X20 studio is a wonderful lagree reformer studio. Over the years, I've been to many lagree studios and I love coming to this one. The instructors are all outstanding and extremely friendly. The owner of the studio, Ellen, is awesome! Like all lagree, this is a work out that focuses on toning and building strength. The workout is difficult (like all lagree classes!) but the instructors do a great job of giving pointers on how to modify to your comfort level. I'm a newbie to pilates and Ellen and her team made me feel super comfortable. Their studio is clean and nicely spaced out. The instructors give excellent instructions and modifications, which I appreciate since my knees have never been the same after my torn/replaced meniscus. There's lots of options for class plans to fit into your weekly workout regimen. It is a very intense workout, without the impact of a high intensity workout! I love this studio! My daughter convinced me to try Pilates shred with her, and It has challenged and strengthened me in every way! I have taken 40 classes so far and it has made a huge impact on my core strength, an area which has always been a challenge for me. I have tried almost every program out there and this studio checks all the boxes for me. The owner is supportive and motivating, and she and the other instructors are extremely professional.
