I wholeheartedly give Grace, the owner and manager at Pilates Suite, five bright shining stars. I have been training with Grace for six months. It is important that I cultivate the Pilates Habit! as I have some fragile bones in my hip, an issue with balance, and for sure poor posture from fifteen years of writing at my computer. I am now conscious of my posture while at the computer, practice expanding my breathing most every day and squeeze my core muscles when I am walking. I find Grace in be a daily presence in my life as she inspires me to practice what she is teaching.. Every time I work with Grace, she is positive, warm, and consistent in teaching exercises to help with my issues. Grace is a great teacher as she can key into what works to help you learn. I have found her to be an amazing Pilates teacher with physical therapy skills. Grace is 100% focused on delivering a service and does not push sessions on you. Each time I take home my list of exercise which help me in my practice. Due to the fact I have deadlines on my book, she has been flexible with my Pilates schedule. Grace is skilled at adding in just enough to improve my routine but does not overdo it. I think Grace is one of the best Pilates teachers in the area and my MD is thrilled I'm making progress with the pain issues. I overdid it weight lifting but am now back to normal thanks to Grace!! The final benefit of working with Grace is that you get to work in a private room and can focus because there aren't other people around. If you are looking for a great instructor contact Grace for some fabulous training. You want an instructor who can help you develop the Pilates habit as you want to make it part of your daily life. You will Feel better and LOOK! better too!! Thanks Gracie for being the talented, wonderful, and inspiring teacher you are. Patrice! read more

Jacky is an excellent instructor. I first started going to Pilates, because I was suffering from debilitating sciatica pain and needed someone to help me figure out how to get rid of it. I'm a runner and not only was I able to run again - I run almost every day completely pain free now thanks to Jacky!! Can't recommend this studio enough. read more

I love the new studio! The spa like ambiance is very conducive to both focus and function. I've been a student of Jennifer Paxson for over two years. Jenny is caring, professional and extremely knowledgeable. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place. I've done pilates before (both mat and apparatus) at other gyms & studios, but there's something special here. Perhaps, it's just Grace. The ambiance is very comfortable and serene. It's clean. You can tell that Grace takes pride in her studio...this is her baby. Instruction wise: Grace is very thorough and methodical. I remember my first session was discounted and she walked me through the breathing, which I thought was very different from other places I have been (which never really press on the importance of breathing as Grace does). It was very informative and educational. I do a lot of heavy weightlifting (olympic style and powerlifting - rah rah stuff) so this was meant to balance my training and help me with overall wellness. I don't really have complaints really. I guess if I REALLY have to have one, perhaps her schedule is usually fully booked so I always have to make sure I book at least 2 weeks in advance. (Actually that's a good thing - high commodity :)) Maybe parking (but I go really early in the morning so that's no problem for me either). I'll get back to you when I find something to complain about. I truly have seen a difference for myself since working with Grace. My body, my mentality, my running form, and especially my posture have changed for the better. So, I've referred some patients to see Grace and they've returned with only positives. I also had the pleasure to observe Jacky teach and I also think she's great. She's friendly, educated, and passionate. Both of them are very personable and have a keen eye for detail. Personally, as a trainer myself, this is very important. You WANT to work with someone who can see the slightest deviation from great form. That's how you will get better and see results FASTER. Highly recommended. read more

Jenny is an amazingly talented pilates instructor of the highest caliber. Her studio is immaculately clean and has a beautiful ambiance. I saw Jenny for both prenatal and postnatal pilates. During my pregnancy, she helped me feel better with specifically designed workouts for the pregnant body. Post-baby, within three sessions I could see and feel changes happening in my body. I started fitting into my jeans again and a hip problem began to heal. Within about 10 sessions, I grew stronger and my hip pain is completely gone. Since Jenny specializes in private sessions, each workout is varied and designed for your body. Her queuing is excellent and she always challenges your body and weak areas. She is fully certified on all pilates equipment, including the reformer, cadillac/trapeze, chair, barrels etc. so you will always have an interesting and varied workout. I am extremely picky about pilates studios and teachers since I have years of pilates experience... not just as a client, but also as a pilates teacher. (I am a fully certified pilates instructor with over 450+ hours of training in pilates studios). Jenny has so much knowledge of the body and pilates that in each session I learn a new exercise or variation of it. She is that good. I give her the highest recommendation. She is excellent if you are looking to get in shape, cross train for other sports, strengthen your body, rehabilitate after injury, surgery or physical therapy, deal with any chronic pain, or if you are pregnant, or postpartum. read more

Grace is one of the best pilates teachers you'll find!! She knows how the body works, she can alter an exercise on the fly to suit you better, she's amazing at explaining things and is extremely patient (she taught kids pilates for years). She's always experimenting and trying new things, so you never get bored. She's always happy, absolutely loves what she does, and gets nerdy excited about the different fun moves she teaches you. You'll leave there feeling better, both in body and mind. She's continued to help me build strength in my weak leg & my core, which is absolutely life changing. read more

Grace is one of the best teachers I have had over the years. She is attentive, focused, and very knowledgeable. She is also super positive and keeps me on-task. I really appreciate the attention she has brought to my Pilates practice. I am also a cyclist and Grace is super aware of the issues cycling can bring to your body with poor positioning, climbing by rotating your pelvis, etc. I recommend Grace to all my cycling buddies. read more

I love, love, love Pilates Suite! Grace is so committed to her students, always positive and absolutely happy. She keeps me on track and is willing to adjust sessions to help me. She is great at explaining concepts and showing me what I could be doing better AND she has the patience of a saint! I'm proud of myself for the body I've developed as a result of my Pilates practice and Grace has been a part of that. Update as of 3/11/2018: I have been so pleased with my sessions with Jacky Tani. Her background is BASI Pilates, which I am a student of and currently working on my certification for, at Grace's suggestion. Jacky is precise in her instruction and fun to boot. I look forward to our weekly sessions. She is great and also has wonderful patience. read more

I have been doing Pilates here for about 4 years. I truly believe that Pilates has changed my life. I used to have regular back and neck pain, which is now gone 95% of the time. I have worked with both Grace and Jacky. Most recently I've been working with Jacky, who is absolutely fabulous. She has a very intuitive understanding of my body and the areas I need to work on that day. She knows where I'm tight and what needs to stretch, which really helps me. Jacky has a bubbly and warm personality and makes working out fun. I am so happy I found Pilates Suite. read more

I can't say enough good things about Jenny and Pilates Suite. She is an amazing Pilates instructor. The studio is beautiful and super clean. The equipment is all top notch and she has absolutely every piece you would want: reformer, chair, cadalliac etc. Jenny herself is a warm, caring and supportive instructor but she also will push you, she knows when you are cheating :) She is very organized, detail oriented and really thinks out her sessions with you to make sure that she is tailoring the each meeting to how your body feels and moves. She customizes everything and is always making sure that you are in the best possible form in each exercise. I am much stronger and healthier since I started with her. I have worked with other private Pilates instructors in the past and Jenny is the best by far! If I could give her 10 stars I would, she is fantastic!!! read more

Grace is definitely one of the best Pilates instructors. She is very knowledgeable and adjusts the exercise if you need it. Grace is key on form and is a master at flow. What I like most is that she remembers the weak spots in your body and always checks in with you about it, and adjusts the exercises or does exercises to strengthen the weak areas. Her dog Atticus is a lovely addition :) read more

I am a Pilates Instructor myself, and I personally LOVE to take sessions from Jenny! She is a fabulous instructor who carefully creates sessions to meet your needs and goals. Her studio is private, beautiful, welcoming, and equipped with the best apparatus. Jenny is the best! I highly recommend her! read more

I really don't know where to start with this review. I've done a lot of workouts for the last 20 years. I was a dancer. Then I moved on to running, I've practiced three types of yoga over 15 yrs. Pilates was a first! I was researching for the right studio then I came across Pilates suite, so I called and Jenny answered my all of my questions. I've been now seeing Jenny for almost 6 months and my body has made a big change lost inches off my waist. I feeI like my pre pregnancy body which was really hot at one time is on it's way back!!! That makes me ecstatic cause I have been trying so much other stupid workouts with hardly any results. I feel great ( not to mention how my husband can't keep his hands off of me!) My shoulders don't have pain like they used to that's something Jenny fixed with correction of exercise. Jenny customizes your workouts to your body's needs and takes it from there. Her background in physical health pertains to her clients best interest she is a disciplined, very attentive, yet sometimes funny instructor and I highly recommend her. Look no further Jenny is the girl you need to see. read more

Pilates Suite - Private studio - Pilates Near Me - Los Gatos, California

I am in my mid forties and have been consistently exercising all my life (playing sports and weight lifting) and was skeptical at first of the benefits that Pilates could have for someone like me. However, after having had only a handful of Pilates sessions with Grace, I noticed the positive impact that Pilates had on my core muscles, my back and posture. My back pain was significantly reduced and my posture has improved tremendously. I couldn't believe how quickly Pilates has a positive effect on me. Grace is an amazing teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable and methodical when it comes to Pilates, she is very dependable, and her classes are fun and challenging at the same time. She must be among the top 3 Pilates teachers in the Bay Area. In addition, Grace has very deep knowledge of Chinese and natural medicine and nutrition. In this regard, she has helped me balance my diet and complement my nutrition, therefore making my Pilates lesson not just a workout, but rather a complete health and wellness experience that has improved my life forever. Thank you, Grace!!! read more

Grace is excellent! Most trainers I've tried have aggravated some existing problems I had through their workouts, but Grace notices, corrects, and improves my positioning consistently. I came to her with the goal of improving my flexibility and core strength. Instead of just taking me through a rote routine, she's completely adaptive. As mentioned by others here, she is hyper-focused, often holding my body in position and watching me consistently as I undertake an exercise. As a final note, she's got a great, positive personality and it always feels fun to work out with her. read more

Grace has been terrific! She really explains everything you do very thoroughly, so you understand why you're doing things. She's also super patient with beginners. She creates a comfortable, peaceful, and welcoming atmosphere. I was having low back pain and the treatments helped very quickly. Thanks Grace! read more

When I injured my shoulder in Yoga I was not able to workout at all for 6 months. I was doing some physical therapy a little walking and REST ASANA. I needed to workout but I couldn't. OMG Catch 22. Once you hurt your shoulder then your back starts to over work to keep your body up and running and then I started having back and neck issues. Go Figure ! I was totally tired of the pain and immobility and started thinking that focused exercise is going to be an answer to my recovery. That is when I turned to pilates and found Jenny's studio. I was totally scared and nervous coz I didn't want to get hurt again but I researched enough about pilates that I was ready to take the risk. Jenny made me feel at ease. She wasn't trying to sell me anything. She calmly said try a few sessions and see if it helps. She assured me that I wasn't broken beyond repair :) and I desperately wanted a solution. I started practicing private sessions with Jenny. I love her studio, it is fully equipped and elegant. The attention to detail that she provides is just commendable. Alignment was my most important issue and jenny made sure that I was having fun yet getting the most out of my sessions. I am super happy to say that one session turned into two and two into 4 weeks. I frankly didn't think I will be able to continue with the pace that I am practicing. I completely understand that I have to respect my body and let it heal without forcing it into doing things that it is not ready for. I have found my journey and it is working miraculously for me. If you are reading this and resonating with even half of my story I highly recommend you to try Jenny's sessions. One only understands the importance of being healthy and fit after they have gone though a tough time. So take control of your situation and our bodies are super computers who know how to fix themselves with a little support. I highly recommend Jenny to everyone but especially people with injuries. Coz remember you are not broken beyond repair :) read more

This is such a bright, clean, well-appointed studio with the nicest people! It's like a breath of fresh air to show up there to do pilates. I was fortunate to do some private sessions with Jacky who is so thoughtful about the exercises she gives, so kind and really a pleasure to be with. I got so much stronger in a short period of time -- she was fantastic. Grace makes scheduling and logistics such a snap. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

I just had my first private session with Jenny last week and she was excellent! Her studio is gorgeous and well equipped with every apparatus related to Pilates one can think of. Jenny herself, is very sweet and very easy to talk to. She understands where I'm at in my experience with Pilates, what I would like to work on and how to get me there. She's very welcoming and is good at making a client feel comfortable, I have had experiences, especially in regards to Pilates, where though the studio is gorgeous and well equipped and the instructors are knowledgable they are not very welcoming of new people and frankly quite snobby. Jenny is not that way at all. She is down to earth and gives you her full attention and makes an effort to ensure that you understand her cueing, she is an all around wonderful teacher, I look forward to seeing her next time and would recommend her to anyone, whether they have experience doing pilates or not. read more

Grace has been out Pilates instructor for quite some time. My husband and I have dual sessions. She's been awesome--adjusting our sessions to overcome our weaknesses and boost our strengths. Grace easily moves between us giving the proper attention to our needs and keeps things interesting and fun while being respectful of our limits and offering workarounds and exercises (including at home) to help alleviate strained or sore muscles. I have worked through shoulder issues on one side and now working through the other. My husband has increased his mobility. We are both continually increasing our core strength. We moved from sessions every few weeks to once a week. We highly recommend her! read more

I have been going to Grace for Pilates instruction for ~2 years now. I have found her to be consistently very professional, knowledgeable and patient. Each session has always been tailored to my unique needs and expectations on any given day. At no time have I ever felt that her instruction was just following a standard Pilates repertoire. As a result my posture, strength and balance have improved noticeably to the point that I am now actually stand 1" taller. No wonder that I walk out of each session with a smile on my face! For what more could one ask? read more

It's hard to imagine anyone better than Jenny as a personal Pilates instructor. She knows her stuff, zeros in on personal needs quickly and deftly, is incredibly precise, and focuses her attention on what I'm doing better than anyone I've ever worked with. read more

Pilates with Jenny was a wonderful experience! I highly recommended her because of her expertise and because she is a pleasure to work with. I was new to Pilates and Jenny tailored a program to meet my needs. Before meeting her, I didn't even know what those needs were! Jenny's love of Pilates is contagious, and she is an excellent instructor for all levels of Pilates! read more

Jenny Paxson is an amazing Pilates Instructor. If I could give Jenny more stars I would. I have done group and private and the amount of expertise she bring to each session is not comparable to what I have ever experienced before. From the first day I started I knew she is a serious teacher with a passion for her clients needs. She is also kind, gentle and very funny. Jenny amazes me each time by how intune she is with my physical abilities. If I am not doing a position correctly she will work with me until I get it right. And the correct way is usually harder, but, that means it is doing the job intended. It is not a major caloric work out, but you can break into a sweat and become out of breath with the repetitions and the sheer core muscle workout. I joke with her that she will tell me to keep my 'big toe down' (because they then to lift up during workouts) and I think to myself 'IT IS DOWN, what is she talking about'; then sure enough she presses my toe down and suddenly I feel a muscle working harder than it was a second ago. She keeps me aligned from head to toe and when I am doing a position right, it feels great and I see and feel results. Never have I had the attention that she gives with the kindness and real passion for helping me achieve my goals. If you have an injury, or any special needs, she will talk with you and adjust for them. I thought I would never be able to do half the things she asked of me and today I can see and feel results. Her studio is beautiful, clean, modern and I rarely do the same exercise twice in a week. I recommend completely. read more

I have been going to Jenny for private sessions for almost two months now and it's amazing the differences I see in my body and also feel while practicing Pilates. Before Jenny, I was practicing at well established Pilates studio in LA and I thought they were pretty good and knew their stuff. But since I switched to Jenny, it's amazing how much information and attentiveness the other studio lacked compared to Jenny. Jenny really pays attention to how your body works and she makes sure you get the most out of each and every exercise she puts together for you. She really makes Pilates something I really look forward to and the hour always goes by super fast! I live about 35 minutes away from Jenny's studio and it's totally worth it to me to drive there every other day. In addition to Jenny being an amazing Pilates instructor, her studio is also beautiful and clean. I would highly recommend Jenny! read more
