For the first couple of months, I didn't feel too much differences but about after 6 months I could notice that my kid's academic achievement started to show. The director Mrs. Hahn does really care for each kid, like a mom. I don't know other learning centers ever do that. After the diagnosis test, she exactly knew at what level my kid belonged to. Since the course materials were designed with diverse range of levels, my kid started at the exact right level and kept advanced to next level one by one. The course materials and the coaching system are designed to develop kid's learning capability, not just to pour knowledge, which I believe is the right approach. I wish I knew this center earlier. She gave him a lot of encouragement and kept us in the loop on the progress weekly. In a couple of years he has been able to finish up the python classes and Java classes included AP CS 1 and CS 2 as a sixth grader. All of this could not happened without Mrs. Dash encouraging style of teaching and the intense interest she has on every kid. She has always been available for us whenever we had any questions about our child. We have referred several other friends of ours and all of them have been pleased with the tutoring. No, certainly not but it sparked the interest in him and he has a good grounding in the basics. Mrs. Dash had held a lot of 'Hour of Code' classes to familiarise students on a plethora of subjects like robot programming, Java, Python, Minecraft modding and raspberry pi. We also love the balance of learning and fun, especially the summer activities, and recitals and special events during the year. The school opens at 7:30 am which is helpful for parents like myself who need time be at work by 8 am. They provide snacks/lunch and help the kids go to sleep for nap time. There are 2 concerts each year that your child gets to participate in, and they have parent teacher conference so that you can be engaged with your child's academic journey. The school is gated which gives a great sense of security and safety for your child and the staff. They are open during the summer and have a summer program. Each week there is a special guest/event such as a bubble lady, puppet show, bird show, bike-a-thon and a carnival day. This is truly a great school to consider if you're looking for flexibility and support.

While I did encounter some truly wonderful staff members who embody the qualities one hopes to find in a daycare, this was unfortunately not the case with all staff members. I personally witnessed an incident where a teacher handled a child aggressively, raising their voice and physically forcing the child to sit down during circle time, despite the child's visible distress and reluctance to participate. The final straw for me was receiving an incident report that did not align with the bruises my child showed up with, along with other concerning bruises that went unreported. Additionally, my child shared distressing details about their teacher's behavior. When I raised these issues with the director, Tammy, I found their response to be negligent, as they failed to investigate further. Instead, they placed blame on my child for being rough during outdoor play, even though the incident "coincidentally" happened in a camera-free area. This experience led me to the decision to remove my child from the daycare. I understand that other families may have different experiences, but the way these serious situations were managed was enough for me to feel that we could not stay.

Feeding was also not always age-appropriate, and on multiple occasions, my baby's bottles were returned full, indicating he had not been fed. I also personally witnessed Miss Jackie raising her voice at the babies on several occasions. Communication with parents felt inconsistent, which made it difficult to feel confident about what was happening throughout the day. As a parent, trust is everything, and unfortunately, I did not feel at ease leaving my child here. I strongly encourage other parents to ask detailed questions, observe closely, and trust their instincts when choosing care for their children.

First of all, we did not receive an email notifying us of the management change. We were instructed to remain silent while our kids worked. After a week, they began shutting the door, which was fine, but there were times when I wanted to hear what my son was working on. Eventually, I felt unwelcome there. I would walk my son to the door but not go inside. There were times when we would stay for two hours without any notification. My son's homework doubled, and it took him possibly an hour to complete a booklet. I asked his instructor why the homework was so lengthy, and she told me it was okay if he didn't finish and could work on it during class. My son is capable of finishing his homework, but my husband and I were frustrated by how long it took him. I ultimately decided to end our contract and text the manager. All I received in response was "okay" and "done." There were no questions asked or apologies for how their program did not work out for us. It seemed they were just in it for the money and lacked the heart to teach my son and/or the other children. However, I appreciated my son's instructor; she was very kind and patient. I dropped my son off on a Thursday, and when I went to pick him up after class, his instructor informed me that his last day was the previous Tuesday. Again, I was not notified that his last day had already passed. The instructor was kind enough to conduct a lesson with him, but no notice? I give them two stars for their instructor and my son's reading progress. He is now able to write clearly and loves to read. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place to other parents due to their lack of customer service and communication.

His public school education via zoom wasn't helping much and we've seen how many of his classmates were falling behind. Jenny Robertson, the center owner, has really stepped up during this difficult time and helped our son learn and stay ahead of his peers when it comes to reading and math. I appreciate her effort and her no-nonsense approach to education. She gives our son one-on-one time to help him truly understand his reading and math. We were part of another Kumon center and we thought it was a good one. However, after being with Jenny, our son has improved greatly on his math and reading. We hadn't realized that he wasn't really getting the reading and Jenny has helped him greatly. I'd also like to address those parents that have written damaging reviews to hurt this business. I wish you'd think about this very difficult time during covid for everyone and hope that you'd try to be kinder and not so devious.
