Michael, you are the man! Thank you for helping me pass the real estate exam. I'd say most of the questions are very similar to Michael Devlin's crash course. As long as you put in the work and study his notes, it's smooth sailing through out the exam. Def worth every penny. Don't think twice just sign up for his crash course and good luck on passing everyone! read more

I wish to sincerely pass my gratitude to Mike. His trainings are so thorough intense and to the point, it only took me only few seconds to pick the correct answer. I passed the state exam in 1st try. Honestly, it took me about one and a half hours to complete the exam and walk out. If you know the answer, the test finishes up faster. A little test to ourselves. If it takes more than 2 hours to finish the exam, probably you will not make in the test. I only took the regular classes and not the crash course. I remembered most of Mike's memory gimmicks which were very helpful. My next step is to go for fingerprints. Again, a huge thank you to Mike! I give all credit to his intelligent coaching and teaching techniques. I would recemmond Michael Devlin's RE preparatory course to everyone who is serious about RE. read more

If I could give ten stars I would. 100% recommend Michael Devlin's Real Estate School. I was worried I wasn't going to pass even though I studied a lot because let's face it you really don't know what's going to be on the test. What's on the test? All the stuff that is on Michael Devlin's prep materials. I was shocked at how easy it was. I finished in 58 minutes and the test was 3 hours, and zero math questions. I was ecstatic. Run don't walk to Michael Devlin's courses. They are well worth it and you will 100% pass on your first try if you take his exam prep and exam study courses read more

5 stars for this course! I focused on the Exam Success Workshop (ESW) videos and Practice tests. I took the 6 practice tests, and the 5 test drills, and about 4 of the 20 "Take these if you have time" practice tests until I was achieving 65-75 %. I diligently reviewed the wrong answers to understand the underlying concepts for the questions I got wrong, and practiced the specific questions again till I got them right. Based on the reviews here, I was expecting to see the same practice questions on the actual exam, and zip through the exam and finish early. Boy was I wrong, maybe 10 questions were exactly the same as the practice exam, others were similar, yet the vast majority of others were completely different but still tested the same concepts as the practice exams. So be forewarned, the exam is not easy breezy. Focus on the concepts as you review the practice test questions you get wrong. Be willing to put in the time and start studying at least 6 weeks pror to the exam. Memorizing the practice test questions and answers will not help you pass since you may not see the exact questions, but could still be helpful to reinforce the concepts. I ended up finishing the exam in 2 hours, and was the 2nd examinee to complete the exam, and I was pleasantly surprised to pass! The exam was tough, and although I was thinking I may have to retake the test, I'm glad I won't need to. BTW,I ran into 4 other examinees as I exited the building, all 4 of them had failed. P.S.: I also took the Kaplan RE prep class, but did not find that nearly as helpful. The Kaplan question bank is huge and the course is overhwhelming. The Devlin course is a lot more structured, especially with the exam success workshop videos. I also found Devlin as an instructor to be a lot more engaging than the Kaplan instructor I had. read more

Michael Devlin is an excellent instructor. His classes provided flexibility to students who chooses to take his classes in person or live webinar. He brings decades of real-world experience in Real Estate with great knowledge, vast examples of the subject matter and with humor making the class interesting and not boring. Michael also provides additional supplementary classes sessions where he invited knowledgeable representatives from the industry such as the Title/Escrow Company, Mortgage Loan Originator, 1031 exchange, and others. His state exam practices are highly informative, which helped me passed my Real Estate State exam the first time around, considering more than 75% fails the state exam. Michael also has his coaching and mentoring program for new agents to help them further their career in Real Estate. Overall, I highly recommend Michael Devlin's Real Estate Program. read more

I signed up for the exam success workshop. I passed the test my first time and attribute it to the workshop. The videos and study guides are amazing. The videos are very engaging and Michael explains the concepts extremely well and in a fun way. It was certainly worth the investment as it makes a huge difference. The practice exams/ tests do prepare you for the real test. The study tips for the exam are also very helpful to coach you to improve test-taking tips. I would highly recommend the course. read more

I took the salesperson license exam this morning and passed! I must say, passing the exam was attributed to the class videos, practice quizzes and Saturday workshop. The bullet outlined provided also helped tremendously. I was well prepared to the extent that the exam did not seem overly difficult. I cannot express how helpful the classes, practice quizzes and Saturday workshop were. Thank you, Rha and Michael. read more

I took all my real estate classes during Covid but all the testing locations closed. 18 months later when they finally started testing again I had forgotten most of material. I was afraid I wouldn't pass the test but I only had a few months left before I would need to start over completely. I came across Michael Saturday corse and signed up. I took the Saturday class and stared watching the videos on his site. 6 weeks later I passed the test on my 1st try. If you are nervous about taking this test, take this class. Michael gets right to the point and gives you all the information you need to prepare for the real estate exam. Thank you! read more

He was teaching the real estate course at C21 on Bascom ave, Campbell back in 1999. I just moved to california. I was so new to the area and real estate jargons, it would have been a miracle simply understand the questions on the test. Because he was so good, I not only passed the exam but my score was 98%. How did that happen? Michael was instrumental to my passing but lost touch with him as I moved from campbell to palo alto. Today, I saw his real estate school on yelp and so I must show my deepest gratitude to him. If he can help a girl from Korea with very little language skill pass the exam, he is a miracle worker. I cannot thank him enough. Thank you Michael. read more

Michael is by far the most knowledgeable, caring, and generous individual I have met since I began my journey to become a real estate agent. His teachings and materials are up to date and relevant to current requirements, he shows genuine care for each client by offering follow ups, checking on your individual progress, answer questions, gives you confidence and encouragement, and generous with his time in offering many free classes and being incredibly accessible. He is simply the BEST.And with his help, I passed the exam. read more

Fantastic program! Right after my exam application was approved I started to get exam crash courses through the mail. I checked out the websites and reviews and none of them stood out ... until I found Mikes program. I read the reviews on yelp and liked the value offered by course. I called and his assistant who was very helpful in addressing all of my questions and concerns. Fast forward... I signed up, did all of the 12 courses over the period of 3 weeks and then the 8hr workshop. I then just went over all of the practice tests he created over until I got 80--90% on each. I felt very certain going into the exam and sure enough, the practice tests and his insight into EXACTLY what to expect from the beginning to the end fo the testing process was 100% and I passed first time! I high recommend his course if you want the best value and confidence to pass your exam! Thank you Mike!! Quan read more

Passed on my first try!! It was apparent there were many people testing there and it was not their first try (clearly they did not take this course!), i heard a comment afterwards from a gentleman saying that materiel was so different than his crash course from another school. That was not the case with me! I took the classes plus crash course and it was fab! Recommend 10/10. I'm so grateful and happy to write a positive review. Stop searching, take these classes and crash course at the very least. Don't waste any more time. Also. He has a fun sense of humor and really understands the process which makes it an organic/easy listening process. Good luck my realtor friends, you got this! read more

I had been studying a real estate program from another school for the last 3 years off and on. The crash course pre exam book seemed so daunting and I was beginning to lose interest. I received a random text from the Michael Devlin school. I decided to give a trial run for $99 for 3 months. WOW!! I'm so glad I did!! His webinars, handouts which I printed and highlighted, and explanations of all the material made all the difference in the world for me. My interest in pursuing a real estate career was reignited as a result. As result of studying through his program, I successfully passed my exam on the 1st attempt. I highly recommend Michael Devlin Real Estate School. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! read more

All the information you need to pass the test is there, just make sure you study it. I watched the recorded Exam Success Workshop video, which was about 6 hours long but took me like 10-12 hours to get through it. I kept pausing for note taking, and ended up taking 17 pages of notes. Practice tests 1-3 are gone over in class, I would take notes and then do the test after he went over it. Tests 4-5 aren't gone over in class but automatically grade when you submit it. I did both of those and printed them out and on the ones I got wrong I wrote out what the right answer is and why. Hearing, interpreting yourself, and writing it out = retention. Passed the test on the first try. read more

FANTASTIC!!! Thanks to Mike Devlin's innate ability to make the study material STICK, I was able to pass my state exam on the FIRST attempt!! The Michael Devlin Real Estate School was recommended to me by a colleague, and now I recommend the entire course to EVERYONE that wants to succeed. Now you can also take the classes online! It comes either prerecorded for playback purposes, and even LIVE STREAM! How great!! I also felt totally engaged for the full 7 hours of the Saturday Workshop, and now--years later--I STILL think of some of the scenarios, examples, mnemonics, and stories that Mike used to teach the course material. THANK YOU, MIKE!!! read more

Michael Devlin's School gets 5+ Stars. I attended one of his workshops 2 weeks before I took my State RE Exam and passed it the first time. Great program and materials! Such a huge help in getting my license.

Great program/crash course for taking the California Real Estate Exam. Michael's class was informative without being boring and the study materials he provides were a tremendous help. Highly recommend! read more

I will give this School a fair, deep review due to my own experience: 1. Instructor Michael Devlin is very dedicate person during the class. You can ask him anything relate to real estate. But off the class, he may or may not reply your message. (Please dont call his phone, he won't answer. Email message will be best choice.) However, you can always reach to his assistant Miss Lee. She isn't quite as knowledgeable as Mr. Devlin about Real Estate Exam questions, but she surely can deliver your message to him. 2. The class price is about average cost compare to the other Real Estate Schools I was looking for by that time, only around +-50 dollars difference. 3. Convenience: The school provide both physical and online class for the students which is really convenient. Be honest, I am a lazy person, I barely attend physical class even I used to live in San Jose area. I prefer the online class for my examination preparation. Its actually no difference compare to physical class, you can see Mr. Devlin live stream, you can also interrupt him for questions. All you need is a high speed internet. Only thing I am not very satisfied is the equipment for recording live stream is sometimes unstable even disconnected from online students. But it only happens for few times (around 3 times) during my entire study period. 4. Special events, yes. You are right. there are some special events you can attend if you are a student under Mr. Devlin's class. Most likely Mr.Devlin will introduce some very successful and famous Real Estate Agents from bay area to the class or some special location for a great presentation. You can ask them any questions you want about Real Estate. What can be better than learning from a Real Time successful business gentlemen or ladies ? This is a very awesome feature of Mr. Devlin Class, you probably will not see a Real Estate star from the other school to do a real time speech. 5. The State Exam Preparation Simulation: Here is the most important part for this class. I would like everyone who treat passing the exam as their final goal to read this part very carefully. The 1200 State Exam Simulation Practice Questions that Mr Devlin provide to me only match around 60% to 70% questions with the Real Estate State Exam I took from LA county. I did not take the State Exam in Oakland, may be that is the reason. But I am not sure. (I wrote a email to ask Mr.Devlin after I passed the exam, he didn't explain that to me.) The rest of 40%-30% exam question is similar but not exactly the same with the simulation questions. For example: The state exam will ask you: By definition which statement below is correct about Easement? Then give you A, B, C, D option. However, the practice question is something like: Under the statement below which one is incorrect about Easement? A, B, C, D. The answer options from both questions are completely different. Therefore, if you don't fully understand the term of Easement, but just memorize the answer from the practice questions. You may still get wrong. This was the most challenge part to me. Unless you fully understand the terminology of each word from the Glossary, you will probably fail the exam in LA county. I am so glad that I was fully prepared before I took the exam at LA county and passed it at first time. But I don't consider its very easy. As matter of fact, its very challenging. I spent almost 5 hours on the simulation practice every day for a month before I took the test. I highly suggest ppl to take a look at the glossary before you start doing the practice question. It will be very helpful. Make sure you fully understand each word from the glossary. 6. Conclusion part: Overall, I will give this School a 5 stars, why break the tradition? Lol, besides the instructor is very responsible and professional. You can learn a lot of real field experience from him. I hope this review can help someone who is preparing the State Exam. Good Luck~~! read more

Michael Devlin Real Estate School - Took the exam at LA county, the questions were quite different from exam simulation, but luckily, I passed~~yeah~~ - Specialty Schools Near Me - San Jose, California

Passed the exam on my first try. Started studying about 10 days before the exam. I listened to his classes 1-12, printed the guides and took extensive notes. Then I did the Saturday crash course and took notes along with the practice tests. Test aside, I learned a lot. Michael has a great way to simplifying concepts, keeping a good pace and making it an engaging learning experience. Good luck everyone! read more

I recommend Devlin Real Estate School! The great thing about Michael is that through his webinars, I was able to learn strategies that helped me pass the exam the 1st time I took it! I studied a lot and the webinars helped me think about real estate in a more practical way. Thank you! read more

I have to write the BIGGEST thank you note to Mike. Figured it's even better to post it with a review on Yelp. So, I didn't buy the entire package (wish I did) that he has to offer. I did purchase the weekend cram session that comes with the 7hr course, online questions/answers, slides, test strategies and bullet points. I decided to purchase this (cheaper) package thinking it would refresh what I already knew. I couldn't have been more wrong.... The class stated with test questions. I found these incredibly hard to answer and was suddenly aware of how under prepared I was (this is when I really started to panic). In total there was 150 questions and answers. Not only did he give the answer, but an explanation that I would remember. The class flew buy, providing so much information that I was terrified that there was no way I would retain all the information. Mike to the rescue again! The materials included in this (way underpriced) package was invaluable. He provided all the slides from the class to help jog my memory, as well as, bullet points from the class. I would have paid a fortune for just the bullet points. They provided an answer to every question I would have been stuck on. All of these I studied the spray before the exam. The morning of the exam I watched his course on test strategies. This in so many ways helped calm my nerves. I recommend anyone who pays for his service watch this clip the morning of. Nerves will get the best of you, this really helps. I passed my exam, on the first try, in 2 hours and calm as a cucumber. I can honestly say that I owe so much of that success to Mike. Please don't hate me for saying so, but looking back at what a service this is, I would've paid soooooooo much more. Don't worry, I don't think he'll do that, but it makes my point. I did get buy with just paying for the one class, but honestly wish I paid for the whole thing. I did pass the exam, but, would be much more prepared for my new career had I just spent the cash. I can't thank you enough Mike. In an attempt to try, I will send everyone interested in starting a career in Real Estate your direction. Perhaps a tad too emphatically. read more

In short, I passed the exam on the first try due to Mike's classes and Saturday cram session. A slightly lengthier review: I purchased the package from dreclass.com which included the 3 college courses, PDF books, live training sessions and Saturday cram session. The package also included an online test exam which looks and feels very much like the real deal. In the live classes, Mike's humor makes some of the otherwise dry subject material very interesting (dare I say, entertaining). There were so many key questions and concepts in the actual exam that he covered directly, that the exam seemed like "review". read more

I just wish that someone had turned me on to Michael Devlin's Real Estate School earlier! I can't recommend him enough. As anyone can tell you, the three required classes that everyone must take are dry, boring, and difficult to tie together if you are doing it online. His online lectures with powerpoint presentations and bullet outline brought all of the information together. I was able to get through all of my study time, while working, in two weeks. I finished the test in under 90 minutes and passed on the first try! Thank you so much!! read more

These courses were a God Send! You can take these courses online or in person. Michael is hands down the best teacher out there. He uses real life examples and I highly recommend this teacher. Forget trying to teach yourself real estate principles, learn from the best. I think he is awesome and is super patient and makes learning fun. He offers online courses, but I learned the best when I was in class. Right now they are in Morgan Hill and Santa Clara every Tuesdays and Wednesdays. read more

I finished the exam in 1 hour 50 minutes - ONLY because I took the full course from Mike Devlin which helped me to UNDERSTAND the material not just memorize (which is impossible anyway, I think). Passed September 28, 2016. First attempt. I searched for about 2 months reviewing all the different programs available for all the different price commitments. From high pressured sales and closing techniques to receiving no response from some of the options, I finally found a REAL PERSON that I could SEE and even ATTEND a class if I chose, or tune-in online and participate from home, or do the lectures when they fit into my schedule. Then, I read his YELP reviews, impressive - I took the free class ... enjoyed his approach to teaching ... and I signed up instantly, as any serious person would do! I only attended 2 classes in person, however, Mike and his assistant, Rha were and are readily available to assist you and they have your best interests in hand. I am extremely pleased that I chose the Devlin Real Estate School, you get what you pay for. I went into the exam feeling ready. I am studious and I prepared, however, I'm not sure that I could have passed on the first attempt without the course handouts and lectures which were invaluable. Thanks, Mike! read more

With so many stellar reviews, what more is there to add? I will say, I took a pretty comprehensive approach to studying: I incorporated the class textbooks (Yes, I actually read through most of them), podcasts, study guides, practice exams, plus Mike's live classes/webinars, slides, and Saturday cram class. My MO can be intense. No regrets with taking the long road, but if you're wanting to be more direct and efficient, Mike's materials hit the key areas... and Mike is extremely approachable and helpful. I could have shaved off months by following his advice to take the class exams as soon as I was eligible (after 18 days) and by applying for the salesperson exam + license at the same time instead of serially. You decide how fast you want to get that license in hand. Don't be fooled though: no matter how you cut it, prepping for the exam is A LOT of work. Even the highlights are a TON of information, so be ready to cram your brain. But just know that Mike has a system that streamlines the process, focuses on the essentials, and just works. Good luck! read more

Passed the first time and I truly have Mike to thank for that! Mike saved my life. Coming from out-of-state with a busy, tech industry husband and one-year old baby, I chose to take an online class through a different school. When it came down to taking the state exam I knew I wasn't prepared so I signed up for Mike's workshop. His outline and online drills helped me prepare hundreds of flash cards on the stuff that I actually needed to know to pass the exam. The test still had some difficult parts but I confidently finished in an hour and 15 minutes having plenty of time to go back and review every question. Passed the first time and start working with a new construction builder in a few weeks! read more

If it wasn't for Devlin's crash course, I wouldn't have passed my State exam. I had my test on 08/21 and started the Real Estate Crash course on August 1st as I had completed my course requirements through college and first tuesdays. Bullet outlines were so helpful in understanding the terms more thoroughly. I recommend practicing thru test drills over and over as many times as possible because a lot of questions on there were very familiar to the test.
