Our daughters have gone here for more than 5 years now, and the dance teachers are all amazing- patient, kind and really take the time to help each of our daughters thrive in Ballet and Jazz. The classes are not stressful or competitive in any way, our daughters enjoy learning from the teachers and bonding with their friends in class too. Every year there is one recital that the students would perform in before the season ends, and it's so fun to see all the different classes and age groups perform different dance styles! Thinking back to our very first visit, I was immediately struck by how exceptionally friendly, warm, and welcoming both the staff and the wider parent community were. I cannot recommend this dance studio for parents looking to lift up young girls. My daughter was interested in Kpop dancing, and is in an awkward bubble age of being too old (~10) for the "mini" class and at the cusp of too young for the"Junior" pre-teen class. She definitely isn't a great dancer, but she practices and tries her hardest. This is just a fun class for girls, not elite or comp. Things started off well but then she started leaving with tears in her eyes. She says that the teacher was leaving her out of the routine and so she was sitting around most of the time, not understanding why. No explanation. I urgently asked for a callback to understand the situation. No callback. I asked the teacher, Mr Garret, next week in person. He says she wasn't getting it but he would include her more. I asked him to speak to her about her so she could feel supported and understand and how she can improve. He says he didn't have time to talk to her and said he would next week. He never did. Not excusable. My daughter continued to come back with tears in her eyes. She says that 2 other girls were giggling and laughing when she made a mistake. She didn't want to make a fuss or quit before the performance. The performance came, and she fell behind in the rehearsal. She told me a few days later that everyone laughed at her. She just did box breathing to focus and did great in the performance. It was a proud moment for our family. *I then receive an email saying that she needs to go to the class where she is overaged OR just take the SAME class but on a different day to free up space for a better dance*. Reason: she wasn't dancing well enough; wasn't fitting in socially; the class was "full" and she's kicked out. Wait, she's still being invited to the same skill but on a different day despite being a bad dancer? I was shocked and disappointed. Instead of optimizing for the culture of the class, they instead optimize against the student for not fitting in. She's not a great dancer, but she's young, tried hard, and was trying to fit in even with tears in her eyes every day. We have dropped Purdance with no hesitation and she now uses her experience as her way of being able to hold her breath to perform amidst an unsupportive environment. read more

My daughter suddenly stopped attending Purdance to get her health and well being in order. We sent an email to her teacher and then to the owner explaining her health struggle. I received Cricket's. I did not receive A reply which I found shocking. I finally sent another email message to Kaylee and she responded. But they made sure to charge us each month she wasn't there. My daughter danced here for 2 years. I was very disappointed with these 2 women. My child was viewed purely as a monthly charge. read more

It pains me to leave this review for the adult Kpop program. Canceled performances, COVID outbreaks, miscommunication and general apathy from Purdance makes me unlikely to come back. I once really enjoyed coming to Purdance. I used to pay $215 a month for the unlimited class pass, often going to 8 classes a week. I have brought many friends with me. During the beginning of the pandemic, I even donated to help them stay afloat. However, now it feels like Purdance just views me as $$$ as opposed to a student. If you don't mind the high price ($26 for drop-in!), Purdance is fine for learning things casually. The teachers are sweet and encouraging. Studios are large and well-kept, but the bathrooms are breaking down. The women's bathroom frequently has flushing issues and broken doors that haven't been fixed in years. For a studio that charges up to $30 per class, you'd expect better facilities. I'd recommend against participating in their performance workshops, master classes, and the kpop program in general. I've participated in 4 "kpop performance workshops", almost all of them were $200+. MARCH 2020: Kpop performance was canceled because of COVID. Our tickets were either transferred for next year's performance or donated to Purdance, class subscription fees were also automatically "donated." We were not given the option for a refund. I understand the sudden financial hardship, but it still felt shady. (Some of us were refunded after complaining.) OCTOBER 2020: Purdance created a Virtual Kpop festival for video projects, with each performance being filmed on a different day. They then made a last-minute change to have everyone film on the SAME DAY, with ZERO notice. They tried to have 40+ people (adults, teens AND staff) gather to film together during the height of Purple Tier of COVID. Students expressed their alarm through email. Instead of going back to the original plan, they canceled filming entirely. (Btw, it wasn't like they hired a videographer, they were going to do it on an iPhone.) Instead, they had us film ourselves individually in our own houses and then stitched them together in a poorly made video that looked like a sloppy iMovie project. They then requested a $17 MANDATORY DONATION to view our own video. One of the Kpop teachers was immunocompromised, so unable to come back into the studio. Instead of allowing her to continue to teach us via Zoom (which all her students were fine with and how we spent the whole season learning), Purdance ended her employment. They also canceled her performance set with ZERO explanation to students or a refund. NOVEMBER 2021: Purdance offered kpop master classes ($30+ each) with the promise that a professionally filmed video would be shared to Youtube the week after. It's been almost 4 months, and no word of the videos. We've sent emails with no response. DECEMBER 2021: We prepped for Kpop festival for 6 weeks. It was canceled 4 hours before showtime due to COVID exposure at the studio. (Purdance never required vaccination to take class, which may have prevented the exposure to begin with.) Almost no information about the exposure was provided to us at the time, leading to mass panic among our group. They rescheduled the performance TWICE but informed ticket holders before actual performers, without checking with us on our availability first. At the show, half the performances were Purdance's contemporary dancers and weren't even Kpop related. Felt like false advertising since it was marketed as a "Kpop Festival." Purdance was also going to prevent our friends and family from filming our performance, citing "copyright," which is BS. No way Purdance had any copyright claim over Kpop choreo that we're covering move-for-move. (This was probably so they could film their own low quality video and then try to charge us for it.) After the majority of good kpop teachers left Purdance, most students stayed because of Jason, who was one of the best. Now that he also left to do his own studio thing, we probably won't be returning after seeing how Purdance treats the kpop program. If you dig into the history, you'll notice that most Kpop teachers leave Purdance to go to other studios or dance groups (On One, Eclispe, Enjoy Off The Grid etc.) A lot of studios in the area are less $$ and have better teachers. Celine is the only Kpop teacher left, as far as I'm aware. She waters some of the moves down for her class because "it's for beginners." She also makes mistakes that I've called out a few times. So if you care about learning the dance correctly, just know that you may need to correct your moves later on by rewatching the official video. However, she is very encouraging and energetic and her class is beginner-friendly. (Shoutout to Kaylee, who works at the front desk and on the Administrative side. She's always so positive, competent, and seems like she genuinely cares about the students. And she was always helpful with the buggy Purdance Go app.) read more

Purdance offers a variety of adult classes which is hard to find since most studios are geared only to kids. Class packs are easy to purchase on their website and booking classes is just as easy. I have taken several classes from a few different instructors and they are all welcoming and encouraging for all different levels. The front desk staff is helpful and they take COVID protocols seriously. Sheila's Broadway Jazz on Thursday's is my favorite class. She does an exceptional job at breaking down choreography and gives helpful corrections throughout the class. read more

Still here and loving it! There's been quite some changes since my last review, not just due to Covid. Management is a little disorganized which often results in schedule changes. You better hope there's good turnout in the classes you like otherwise they may quickly end up on the chopping block. I wish they offered deals similar to "buy 10, get 1 free" or unlimited for the quarter/year vs. month. K, negatives are out of the way, on to the yay's. The staff is great! All of the teachers are welcoming and friendly. If you go often, they'll know you by name. Dancers come in all levels of experience. I love that Purdance offers ADULT classes and not "teen/adult" - let's keep it that way! I'm so happy for this dance community! Shoutouts to my current main teachers: Rubi - great for beginners, thorough, hilarious - also got tricks and techniques up her sleeve that will wow you! I had my daughter enrolled in this school , we decided to cancel on the week of January 13th we got the withdrawal form and signed it right away , you would think that this is sufficient for my membership to be canceled and not be charged for February, anyway I called them and this girl answered and hang up on me twice and she was giggling like this whole situation was funny to her . I'm officially requested a refund since my daughter hasn't been attending class since the week of January 10th . PHONE: I've called a couple times to get more information, and the girls on the phone are always really nice and friendly who are able to thoroughly and clearly answer all my questions. TOUR: I came in on a weekday for a tour of the place, and the girl did a thorough job of showing me the entire studio even the back rooms that aren't all the way done yet. This is a fairly new studio I believe not even a full year of being open yet if I remember correctly. It's bigger inside than it looks from the outside with offices too in the back left of the building. SETUP: When you walk in there is a front desk where you can check in and purchase package deals. There are chairs too in case you need to sit and wait. To the left is a small corner store with some merchandise being sold along with studio T-shirts. Two studios are to the left. If you walk straight there are two more studios. When you walk to the left back there's another hallway that leads to offices and more studio spaces. Bathrooms available too. DANCE: So far I took an absolute beginner Kpop class, which was fairly challenging, but thankfully it was a big group so all the attention is not put on you even when they split the class in two groups. I really liked that the teacher does the routine with us even when he splits the class in half. It's intimidating when the teacher expects you to do the routine on your own especially for a beginner class. He also slowed down the music then sped it up as we became more comfortable with the routine. I thought he did a good job making the class fun and breaking down the moves. The people in the class were having a nice time. We took a short break in the middle too. There were mostly girls in the class with three guys. I also liked that the guy teacher talked about guys and girls options for certain moves. It seems to start a routine at the beginning of the month, and build onto it until the end of the month. OVERALL: Overall I like the studio. It has a new clean feel to it. Overall a younger population as far as the Sunday class I attended for adults. Temperature of the place was good considering it was probably an unseasonable high 70's even 80 degrees outside. I think they turned on the air halfway through the class, but it wasn't cold to where you will get sick. I love dance, so unless there is something horrible, then I don't see a reason to knock off any stars at this point from my experience thus far. I plan to come back since I got a package deal. I'm looking forward to trying their jazz or ballet class. COST: Drop in is $17 per class. Looks like most classes are an hour long, but some classes are an hour and a half. They offer package deals where the more you buy the more you save. 30 day time range to use the classes or else you lose them, or you can buy a membership and have an extension. read more

Loved my first experience here. Took the Friday Beg/Int Hip Hop class with Grant Torino. I have little to no experience with dance but I wanted to learn, so I took the class with 4 other friends. It was a bit tough, but I am very excited to continue learning. My plan is to keep taking these Friday classes and some other classes whenever I have the opportunity. Most challenging class I've taken, considering it was advertised as a beginner's class, but choreography (admitted by the instructor) was intermediate/advanced. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of my instructor. But I took this class on a Friday in August at 7:30pm. I have to admit that this wasn't the best class for me considering I was getting back into hip hop after a dry spell punctuated by zumba classes. I was rusty. And I needed something easy to regain my confidence. But it didn't happen. Hip hop is highly technical (learning footwork first) & 8-counts can be difficult to follow if you're just learning it for the first time. Some classes I've taken in the past repeat sequences from the week before. I don't know if this place does that. All I know is that when more than half the class wasn't getting the sequence down, I think it's safe to say it was a challenge for most of us. This piece required some fast-paced footwork coupled with some complex upper body movements. It wasn't hard to keep up as long as the instructor was in front showing us the sequence, but when left alone to perform in front of the whole class, I was lost. Despite this, I liked the small class size because I didn't feel like space was an issue. There was plenty of room to move around. However, $18 was a steep price to pay for a dance class. Most classes in the past 2 years I've taken were hovering over the $13-15 range. Not to say I wouldn't give this place another chance because my brother had taken it before and the choreography was much easier to follow, but it might be awhile to shake the memory of this class. At least I took a video of the choreography when I decide to take a stab at it again. I've only paid for classes with a credit card so I can't speak to whether they accept cash or not. Purdance is in a lot on the corner and offers plenty of parking. It's one street away from Brokaw Commons where there are tons of restaurants and snack places. I absolutely love Purdance and I'm so glad my friends told me about this place. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming here, the instructors are amazing, and there is such a large range of different dance styles/types taught here: K-Pop (Korean Pop) to Popping/Locking/Boogaloo, Old School Hip Hop to Baby Ballet. Honestly, I was a little nervous to take the classes because I've never stepped foot into a studio before until earlier this month. But everyone is seriously so nice and welcoming here so I really didn't have anything to worry about. Even if I struggle a little with the routines I can ask the instructors and they always help me out. The other students offer great encouragement as well and give helpful tips on a lot of the moves. I purchased two packages within my first week of taking classes. Originally I purchased the 4-class pack but I loved the classes so much I used that 4-pack within a few days then purchased the 24-pack. Unfortunately they are discontinuing the 24-pack soon so I will have to get another package when my 24-pack runs out. I would definitely recommend the packages so you can try out all the classes for a cheaper price than paying drop-in rates. In addition to the packages I purchased the Purdance membership that offers some perks. What's also nice about Purdance is I can sign up for classes through an app called Mindbody Connect. I was first very excited to know about this Kpop studio in San Jose, however it turned out to be super disappointing. I'm not sure about all the other good reviews but here's my tips from my own experience. One time I drove 40min to get to the class, however, the teacher apparently didn't prepare very well at all, and finished the short piece in 30min, then didn't really know what to do for the next 60min. The class is so awkward and dry. It's such a waste of my time and efforts of driving so far to get to the class! The package is only good for a month unless u pay more to become a member. And the teacher always tells you she doesn't have time to learn new dance, then constantly teaching old kpop dances from 2011. Really?We all spend time and money to come in. Please be more respectful to the students. I ended up not going to my last two classes, cuz I figured I'd rather waste the money than my weekend in such a boring class. Definitely no inspiration no creation and no passion! I literally didn't sweat after 90min class and spaced out all the time in the class!! I've been wanting to review this dance studio for the longest time, and here I am. I used to frequent them in the past but as we age, priorities shift so I occasionally come here - particularly if they decide to teach a great song. I've taken hip hop with Grant Torino and the Kpop program with various instructors, and I know the dance studio director as well. In addition, I've read past reviews and they are on the mark for the most part. I've come from a rookie dance beginning to a much more seasoned current dance ability so I've seen many sides of this studio. Therefore this is going to be a big review. -------------- Positives: I get the sense that because it is a smaller dance establishment, that things aren't run as professionally - this can be seen via the employment process of dance staff and how things are communicated sometimes haphazardly regarding class changes, cancellations, performance workshop changes, and so on. At the same time, I personally spoke with the studio director about studio growth and how they deal with challenges, and have seen her enthusiasm while watching performances - so her intents are in the right place. She cares. Parking is easy, there are 3 lobby areas, they improved the 3 dance studio spaces over the past 4 years, staff and fellow dancers are very friendly. Negatives: location is faraway from places you may want to go before or after - not within walking distance, class price is high for one class so you can only save with buying more, restroom has been out of paper towels at times, instructors may not teach songs you prefer, other places have more competitive offerings (free first class, unlimited classes a month, lower costs, etc.), location is too out of the way. Overall, issues understandably happen, we can all understand that - but the way issues are handled is not consistently the best so that brings down my rating. A suggestion I have is to start a loyalty program - I've seen a few returning dancers who have miraculous commitment and yet there has never been loyalty program. I imagine the budget may be an issue but if that's the case, then that ties back to the more competitive offerings at other places. I really wanted to love this place. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, the facility was new and clean and bright. However, I observed my daughter in the Saturday ballet/tap/tumbling class and was concerned by several things I saw which were developmentally inappropriate for 3-4 year olds (as a certified Montessori teacher for ages 3-6 who has studied early childhood development and appropriate practices) *My 3yr old daughter waited for 13 consecutive minutes, seated "on the line", for her turn to roll across the gym mat during the tumbling portion of class. That's too long to ask a 3yr old to sit and do absolutely nothing *There was an excessive amount of correction when children tapped the floor with the "wrong foot" (left instead of right and vice versa) or stepped off the line. Many children of this age cannot consistently tell their left from their right *Class just didn't look like it was much fun, sadly. Lots of focus on "standing on the line" and "waiting your turn" at the expense of more appropriate and fun ways of exploring movement and expression for this age group All of these things can be fixed. Hopefully Purdance will take this into account and make some changes. We'd love to give it another chance! read more

ADULT CLASSES ARE NOT TEENY-BOPPY! I was really apprehensive about taking adult hip hop classes and being the only student over the age of forty. I was pleasantly surprised to see at least one student who looked older than me! Most of the students are young (twenty-somethings), but we all share the same affinity for dance, so the age lines kind a blur after an hour or so. FIND YOUR GROOVE THING. Buying a class pack is the best option. Pick the amount that's right for your schedule and try every instructor at least once or twice. I found that I liked Grant's style and humor the most. Chris A.'s class is technique driven and his analogies are hilarious. Marlon's hip hop classes fuse contemporary and jazz. I'm planning to try the K-pop classes next. BE SAFE! Purdance is not located in the best part of town. Leave with your classmates and make sure everyone gets to their cars safely. Drive a beat up car to class if possible and don't keep ANYTHING valuable in the car. Hiding it in the trunk won't help. Leave ALL valuables at home. Cars have been broken into. read more

Purdance is AMAZING!!! It's rare to find a studio that offers such a wide selection of dance styles (especially for street styles of Hip Hop), while also having a community that is super friendly, genuine, fun, and helpful. Many of the teachers here are world class and very talented. My favorite classes: Cassie Begley's Jazz (Adv Beg): I've been taking Cassie's class for years and so far, I haven't found another teacher who teaches contemporary/lyrical style jazz the the way Cassie does. She starts us off with a warm-up that will kick your butt, but leave you to be a stronger, more beautiful dancer. Alex's Intro. to Popping: Never thought I'd be one to get into popping, but Alex really breaks down the moves and helps us drill different techniques to pick up even as a beginner. The people + class is super fun and dope! Nikki's Waacking: Nikki is a sweet teacher that offers fun dance combinations and a unique style to her waacking class. Every class builds you up for more confidence, fierceness, character style, and glam. Kendyl Young's Ballet/Yoga: Kendyl is a very kind and patient teacher. Her classes really great for beginners as she walks her students through each step of the way. Dennis Infante's Old School Hip Hop: A more intermediate class, but still really cool and fun. Prepared to go back to the 90's with this class and break out into a sweat! Overall, there's a dance style to be found here for everyone for all levels and ages. :) read more

I joined Purdance's Kpop Beg and Adv class for teens along with my younger sister. I was not pleased with any of the staff members and the students poor and rude attitudes toward others. First off, the staffs are NOT friendly and helpful at all. Also they are not professional and is very disorganized. We decided to quit after so we gave them a one month notice. BUT they said we didn't and still charge us after for the next month. They really need to improve their service. The uniforms for the performance were overpriced and ugly. Later on we were told that wearing everything wasn't required. We had to pay over $200 for the both of us and we were not able to get a refund even though they said we could since we were not going to be in the performance. Other than that, the students were EXTREMELY unfriendly towards my younger sister and her friend. They bullied both of them since they were the youngest one there. Plus they would not let them dance to any of the songs they wanted to because they were "too young". Even the dance instructor agreed with everything they said. Honestly they are very bias. Dancing should be something that anyone, any age can enjoy. HOWEVER, Purdance is all about age especially the kpop class. The students make a big deal even if there are only a few weeks or a few months age gap and that is EXACTLY what happened to my sister and her friend. Overall it was a horrible exprience and I'm glad that I left. The class is probably happy too. read more

I would give five stars if it's just for Ms. Jasmine. She is so good with kids, especially with younger ones. However, I am not so happy with the attitudes of some other people. we were enrolled with another teacher for 3-4 yrs old class. My little one was not comfortable being in class the first time, cried. The teacher gave me a very nasty look and told me to take my little one out of her class in a very rude manner. I was pissed by that teacher's attitude and wanted to drop her class right away. I told the owner I want to drop the class knowing there would be no refund for the rest of the month. The owner just said, "ok", didn't even bother to ask why. Glad I saw Ms Jasmine's class and switched to her class, otherwise I would give only one star. read more

Purdance - Super comfortable and large waiting area so you can hang out while the kids dance - Dance Studios Near Me - San Jose, California

I took the hip-hop classes at Purdance for 9 months, twice a week every week. I had never danced hip-hop before, and dancing has never been more enjoyable for me since the end of those 9 months. I've developed such amazing confidence with my body and how I feel, and it's a mindset that is so valuable that there's not a thing I would have done differently. Grant Torino was one of my weekly teachers (on Fridays). And in the 9 months that I saw him, there was never a single time that he didn't have a smile on his face, bringing energy to the class. His dancing style always adds an element of humor, and he usually gets a chuckle out of me at least once every class. And his teaching skills are just incredible: if there's ever a complicated move that I didn't get, he finds a different way -- that works better for me -- to get there. Chris Alcanices was my second weekly teacher (on Tuesdays). His hip-hop dancing style is much more grounded in that he likes to use the momentum and energy that you get from pushing your feet off the floor. Again, just a fantastic teacher with tons of experience like Grant: he's there hours before class just honing the choreography for the students, and he is so interpretive with the music. He is a bit more verbally descriptive in his teaching style, so he gives some pretty relate-able analogies throughout the class. There are classes for all levels, and the instructors dynamically adjust the pace as needed. So I highly, highly recommend Purdance for anyone who has ever considered taking a dance class -- or has considered getting back into dance. read more

I am very disappointed that this dance studio. They have good Yelp review let me go to there.I really hope My girl can be very happy there.I went to register 8/5. Met a teenager BOY!!!He was not friendly to help customer.When I ask him questions He don't want to answer. He look like he don't know anything, but he told me he was worked here two years!?!?!?!?!?!? When I leave.I told him"please sent me receipt." I need to make a history. Until 8/20 I DON'T get my receipt. So I call this dance studio 8/23 afternoon. The same teenager answer my phone and he said that the costume has not come, and he forget give me receipt. BUT HE CAN EMAIL ME NOW...... BUT I STILL DON"T GET MY RECEIPT...... 8/27 I went to this dance studio. Finally I saw there manager. Told her this LONG STORY. And I think the most surprising is the manager said:"no costumes can wear is OK, WE CAN WAER SPORT SHOES......(SO why we have to buy uniform?????) Finally, I cancel this dance studio class. These days, the South Bay is all about Salsa/Latin dancing and anything relating to romance. Aiite, that's fine. Last year, in order to go to a place to sess, I would have to go to a 24-Hour Fitness and use the Group X/Aerobics room to dance all by myself. But there came Purdance. A place that is equivalent to the dance spots in San Francisco and Oakland except close to the South Bay. Nami sure did her research when opening this place because there weren't any places to session or take Popping, Locking, Krumping, Hip-Hop etc. classes until Purdance was around. The best part about Purdance is that all the dancers have their credentials and were trained by the OGs. So these dancers know their stuff. The best part about it is, there is no drama, no egos, and the competition among the dancers are friendly, encouraging, and most of all inspiring. Folks, this is where the Snuffleupagus goes to practice his Popping on Thursdays. Open sess is only 2 bucks (holy crap!!!!!!). I'll sure be bringing my Sesame Street buddies (Big Bird, Elmo, Count Dracula, etc.) to this spot to get it on! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. read more

I was new to the city and i was just yelping for a good dance place. I came across purdance theough yelp and reviews looked good. So according to my schedule i could do only fridays and so i thought i l maybe try grant's hiphop class first and maybe move on to different styles after 1 or 2 classes, but grants class turned out to be so good i did not want to move on to any other class :D I'v been going to his class for almost 3 months now. He is so talented, patient and he makes the class super fun to be in. He understands eveyone well,starts off to the comfort level and tries to up their level so that we dont feel like we are not improving. I am way more confident after joining his class. He is always ready with an awesome piece every week. Everyone at purdance is very nice and kind and they are always happy to help you. I would definitely recommend purdance to all my freinds, especially grant's class. read more

Just wanted to thank Lisa for taking the info I gave to her and matching my 17 yr old daughter, Jaci M. with her new teacher Kayla Rossell for private lessons. We were never quite sure how to choose a dance school or what type of dance or teacher so Lisa made it easy for us. She allowed us to watch Kayla teach her Sassy Hip Hop class (unfortunately for 18 yrs and up only cuz Jaci would've joined that too) and we scheduled lessons to start the following week. First lesson was awesome for my daughter thanks to Kayla's upbeat and positive teaching style and obviously her dance experience and knowledge. I'm telling everyone I know about the variety of classes for all ages that Purdance has and that everything about the studio and staff so far are awesome! As an adult I've taken quite a few classes and everyone is just so super nice here, from receptionists, instructors, classmates to the owner. I feel so fortunate it's here because I'd love to learn KPop... I'll add more later read more

My experience here has been kind of mixed. I was looking for a new school for my daughter and just wanted her to get assessed for proper placement. Since she didn't want to do ballet which is a requirement, I asked if they can get her assessed and see if she can skip ballet. One of the person said that could be an option but I couldn't schedule drop in classes due to the timing of their show case. And I couldn't do it during summer session because its too short. Finally they told me to send videos which I did and several weeks later they scheduled level 1 drop in classes ($25/class which is up from $20 Last year) for Jazz & Lyrical. I showed up for Jazz only to find out the class was cancelled and the person said "Well that's why we ask people to enroll to secure their spots." ...... Well cause I couldn't??.... They said one of my options was to show up the next day. I already sat in traffic for 1.5 hours didn't really want to just leave so I had my daughter be in the very beginner's class with kids 1/2 of her size. After all that, they said ballet was a requirement.... I patiently waited so she can possibly be in the same school as her friend but now it can't happen because of the ballet requirement. But why the 4 stars? I think their teachers are energetic and great. My daughter absolutely loved the lyrical/jazz teacher and it's unfortunate she can't take her class. Maybe I'll try again when my daughter wants Ballet again but I rather she enjoy dancing for dancing. read more

Been taking classes here for the past 2-3 weeks, just for fun. And so far I'm loving it! Everyone's super friendly, it's not an intimidating place at all (and I have zero dance experience). Groov3 is such a fun class, and I'm also taking absolute beginner Hip Hop, which is also really fun. I've taken the Foxy, Fierce and Fab hip hop class, and although it says it's all levels, I found it definitely more challenging than beginner. All instructors are great and have amazing energy. read more

Tried out the Hip Hop class here and really liked the dance lesson. This dance studio has a variety of different types of dance classes to choose from. The place is well kept and is in a safe location. You can pay a walk in fee, or buy a package of 4 classes etc. there is also the Purdance membership that allows you to spread out the amount of times you can go over a longer period instead of having to use your package within the designated 30 days. read more
