I had been here before a few years prior for a pedicure and had a really great experience but this last time it was sub-par. They weren't rude but not super friendly either. Didn't say a word to me besides asking me to choose a color and the total cost. Staff was watching videos on their phones with the volume on. This was especially annoying because the TV was on too. The weird gel-like lotion irritated my legs (which never happens). Barely any work to exfoliate my heels. Did not work very hard to clean up my nail beds. Massage (which I look forward to the most) had zero pressure she just ran her hands up and down my shins for a few minutes. Towels were too hot. Massage chairs didn't work. Only one coat of color and it didn't look very rich once it dried. Did not offer to cover my feet as I had to walk across the room and semi dirty floor to the dryers. The whole process was disappointing. For $25 I could get a way better, relaxing experience and pedicure somewhere else. read more

LOVE Lyly Nails and Jennifer. I was referred to her by a friend because she does shellac on top of acrylic nails and I wanted to try a color changing polish that I had been envying. Jennifer does a dependably quality job every time and she's absolutely fastidious about the details. The prices are very reasonable and she's got great afternoon/evening hours. She can't always accommodate walk ins because she's often booked, but if you call ahead she can almost always get you in same day. Plus, there is a pug named Buddy who is there most days and he is very friendly - one of my favorite parts of a visit to Lyly! :) read more

Love, love, love this place! It has been very difficult to find a good nail salon here in West Seattle. I use to live in Northgate and had my favorite nail salon there but seems ridiculous to drive from West Seattle to Northgate for a pedicure. So I've tried out a few spots here in West Seattle, all a disaster! So I was a bit skeptical, to try yet another one but I read a few reviews and everyone seemed to really enjoy this place. I walked in and was quickly welcomed and was taking right away. Both women were very friendly! The paint job was great, foot and leg massage was AWESOME and the service was AWESOME! Update, Jennifer gets 5 stars for gel manicure, but the young (20ish) woman does a rather poor job. Looks fine when you walk out the door, but a couple of days in, the ridges around the cuticle become obvious and soon the peeling... The third provider there does a fine pedicure, can't speak for her manicure. read more

When I called I was worried that I no one would be able to help me. My nails were bitten and picked past repair and up the nail bed. Ly Ly said she could help and she did. She made my nails look absolutely beautiful with french tips and gave me a plan to help with growing my nails and dryed cuticals. I cannot believe how fantastic they did;. Everyone in the shop was absolutely in love with the work these woman have done and all of my co workers and friends are amazed that not only they look good but the best they have ever seen. There was only 1 woman working so we weren't able to just walk in so we scheduled an appt and came back a bit later. The place isn't much to look at but the employee was super nice and did a great job. I don't get many pedis but I'd go back for the next one for sure. read more

When I moved to the area it was a real challenge to find a nail salon as I am very particular. I was so pleased when I found Lyly Nails in West Seattle. Prior to moving from the Maple Leaf area to West Seattle, I made the drive for my nails and pedicure as it was SO worth it! I seriously hate when a shop tells you "can you wait 10 minutes?" which turns into 45". You won't find this here. The shop takes walk ins and appointments and if you come in when busy, they will tell you "when" they are available. I love this! I "discovered" this little gem of a nail salon after a horribly negative experience at another salon here in W. Seattle. All nail techs. are NOT created equal! The owner (Jennifer?) not only corrected the mess on both my finger and toenails ... she is authentically kind, a consummate professional and went over and beyond to "get it right" ... even stayed 1 hr. beyond normal closing time. She also explained everything she was doing to correct the "problem" and why ... knowledge is essential. I have been to fancy-schmancy high priced salons where I paid 3x as much for a mani/pedi. and I am extremely cognizant of the importance of cleanliness. Lyly is definitely my "new" go to salon. Do not judge a book by it's cover. Lyly may not "appear" upscale, however, the friendly, professional service and stellar results are what I want. Do try ... I highly doubt you'll be disappointed. I've never gotten a better mani/pedi anywhere else. All of the technicians are really friendly, and they do a really great job - soak, scrub, hot towels, exfoliate, massage, THEN you get to the polish. It's very neon and a bit outdated, but great prices & service. read more

The women are sweet and do an AWESOME job on your nails. They are meticulous and manicures/pedicures will last longer than other places because of this. They also do clothing alterations. read more
